FootyHeadlines.com leaked Croatia’s 2026/2027 Adidas kit earlier today and their credibility in the football world is nearly 100%.
Alot to unpack here as we have been begging the HNS to move away from Nike for 20 years. The traditional Croatian “Čipka” pattern is new and fresh. I’m definitely a big fan of what they did there. But where are the checkers?! Croatia have had some combination of checkers in every home/away kit since independence. It’s our thing. It’s our identity.
I’m a bit disappointed Adidas broke the streak with this new design.

I don’t know what this Martin guy is smoking but there is a reason behind the pattern in the blue that has nothing to do with Mexicans or Turks.

I am getting positive feedback from friends and family on this one. It’s a fresh look. I don’t want to buy the same jersey every tournament where Nike just adjust the size of the checkers.
This looks like a Mexican transgender model wearing a blue Azteca jersey with no cultural representation of Croatia… For those saying that Nike sucks… I’m sorry but as much as I prefer wearing Adidas apparel, they need to bring back Germans into the Adidas design team and stay away from the Turks or whoever the hell is designing the Croatian jerseys!

It feels like every jersey for the last 5 or six cycles has a story attached to it – how about just a clean square checker home jersey – and a simple blue with checks incorporated simply one way or the other – I also like the adidas color palette much more..
Not bad for an away jersey…. but maybe sub out the lace pattern and incorporate the Hrvatski pleter instead. I do like the ‘clover’/trefoil style adidas symbol on the chest (way better than the nike swoosh or the adidas leaning 3 stripes logo).

The pleter would look nice on a kit, but everything else in this kit is great.
The trefoil logo, the bright red trim, and marine blue.
This will look good on the field. If the lace pattern isn’t as prominent in person as it is on this photo, then it’ll be a nice kit to buy too.
But I think the black kit will be better.

The Croatian women may have just qualified for the women’s world cup with the 1-0 win against Kosovo! This may be the first time that they qualify. They currently sit in top place due to goal differential.
This could be huge, hopefully they make it.

Not trying to give people difficulty I think they do a great job on this site, but I think it goes a long way for the moral of the Lavice they deserve it.

One thing that every young Croatian player says he dreams of wearing is the checkers for Croatian National team. I guess those days are gone.
The traditional unique lace pattern is fine, but the squares still need to be represented, in some fashion within that design.
If someone turns on the TV, they need to know it is Croatia, without anyone telling them. Other than the Logo, this design does not say Croatian, at first glance, to me it says Mexico, Latin America or West Africa. Even the model chosen is a typical French, German, Belgium, Spanish, English male with a Body Mass Index ratio of at least 35-45. Who are they targeting their marketing campaign to. At least give us another 8 years before are demographics are the same as the rest of Europe. The could use a Ukrainian, Hungarian, Polish, Slovak model until then if they refuse to use a Croatian model.
I continue to believe the change from Nike to Adidas was a huge mistake. If it makes the country happy so be it.
Sorry, there are squares, they are just huge ,12″x12″, so you can barely see them. So the tradition goes on. I get it, Adidas wants to differentiate it’s future endeavors from Nike.
Great for psychedelic users but thing needs some checkers at the very least
