Croatian defender Dejan Lovren scored in 95th minute injury time Tuesday night to earn Liverpool a 2-1 victory over Swansea in the Capital One Cup 4th Round. The goal came off a looping free kick from the sideline. Swansea keeper Gerhard Tremmel completely misjudged the ball giving Lovren a wide open goal. And unlike Ivan Rakitić at Euro 2012 against Spain, Lovren cooly headed down into the ground to get the job done. Lovren is no stranger to scoring goals and can be a huge asset to his team when he shows composure and discipline.
But the question always remains: which Lovren will you get on any given night? And which Lovren will Croatia get at Euro 2016?
Thank god they caught that wannabe Cetnik in Pennsylvania. Now the kids can go out trick or treating for Halloween.

this is good… buddys dressed up like a cetnik
just read an article online that canadian police are looking for 3 muslims… one named samir halilovic… the irony in this only we at croatian sports can understand
you think he got the call up cause he was whining?
can we trade prosinecki for kovac straight up?
serb or not i think he would make a better coach
heard it hear first azerbaijan takes points from us… i really hope not
Either way he still looks really good and comfortable out there.
Modric at the same age was playing for Zrinjski. Just being on this team is a huge achievement for Halilovic.
Technically, I don’t think you can call it his senior debut. Catalonia Cup is not an official competition. This would be the equivalent of Hajduk and Bjezigrad playing in the Dalmacija Cup.

Alen Halilovic made his debut for the senior side in the Catalonia Cup match and scored in penalties.

Robert Prosinecki to be named head coach of Azerbajian. Means he will coach against Croatia in the return leg in Baku.
does croatia have a b squad vs messi
vs itlay not effot players like italy will destory us
Lovren got me a season high of 7 points in premiere fantasy league last week, in my fantasy world he is the man for this week.
So, now there is Europski dinamo, Dinamo, and pomoc od suca Dinamo………….
meh…what did the Opatija manager expect? did he really expect to beat mighty Europski Dinamo in a early round Cup match? this is the HNL, get with the program…
bravo Opatija!
Zoran Bogolin trener Opatije: “Penal? Suci su sastavni dio nogometa, nemam se što ljutiti. Koji puta će suditi za Opatiju takav jedanaesterac, koji puta neće. Sve je to sport.” (CF)
Classy comments from the fourth divison coach whose team nearly beat Dinamo yesterday if not for a bullshit penalty given by the referee in the 90th minute. (1-1)
Game then went into extra time, where Dinamo won 4-2
Zdravko Mamic threatening to resign over the near-embarrassment.
Hajduk also struggled with a fourth division club.
Still frustrated with Badelj not being given a chance. Brozo is decent, but Badelj is a natural holding mid and would work well with modric. He also has some creativity and good passing range

his tackles are something we lack in the midfield
Jupp Heynckes for Cro national team coach!
you saw it here with me first…I said this and now Mandzo is revealing my thoughts exactly!
“Guardiola disappointed me — he did not treat me with respect,” Mandzukic said. “He did not let me become the top scorer in the Bundesliga. For me things were twice as good when Jupp Heynckes was in charge.”
Pep’s a fucking turd!
From Ibra to Mandzo to Eto’o to the way he treated Caleb Porter at the MLS all star game.
If you were a world class talent and not Spanish I couldn’t see how you’d ever want to play for that goof.
Ivica – “Then again, that’s probably Štimac’s fault for playing three at the back with our slowest defender in the middle.”
Playing 3 at the back, with

Yea, that poor clearance header down the middle was Strinić’s fault.
Though you could argue that Lovren was at fault for one of the goals by Belgium in the Zagreb match, when he pushed so far forward and left Ćorluka alone with Lukaku. Then again, that’s probably Štimac’s fault for playing three at the back with our slowest defender in the middle.
Goal.com and espnfc both gave him great ratings and said he wasn’t at fault for the goal. Thought it was Strinic’s error against Belgium.
Nothing new about Lovren, this is a pattern that goes back to his Lyon days.
No one will forget his error vs Belgium when we were up 1 -0 and had to settle for a tie.
Headline should read:
“Lovren saves Liverpool from himself”
That Swansea goal was entirely his fault. This is typical Lovren. Just like in our 2-1 win against Wales, Lovren is at fault for the opponent’s goal but scores one himself to correct the error. He’s going to be a very frustrating player for us.
Gay pride for Lovern!
I like Lovren as a player.
Let hope and pray the Liverpool gets relegated this year……………………please……………
