Croatian International, Lovro Majer, has joined Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in a deal worth 30 million Euros per Croatian outlet, Jutarnji List. Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano also noted that the contract with the German club will last until 2028, making it a 5-year deal. After finding poor form in his second season at Rennes and dealing with minor injuries in prior seasons, Majer will make the leap to the Bundesliga in an attempt to rediscover his former self.
Majer will be united with former Croatian captain, Niko Kovač, who is the current Wolfsburg manager and a Vatreni legend. With Kovač behind at the reigns, it is easy to see Majer getting the mentorship and opportunity he needs to achieve his peak potential. With Majer being a creative player in nature, a league like the Bundesliga that lives on fast pace/high scoring offensive play; crossed with the mentorship of a fellow Croat, Majer could be on the up very quickly this season. While not as young of a talent as he used to be, Majer is still only 25. Since his prime is yet to come – in my opinion – no one can know for sure what the limit for his career can be. If the perfect storm starts brewing in Germany, Majer can certainly become one of the best players in the Bundesliga this season.
Ajde Lovro Za Dom I love this kid Pravi Hrvat =U=
Did kovac take care of franjic? Lol
I dunno Majer gives me Beta male vibes. His facial expressions are timid. Hopefully the Brave 200 Croatian Spartans that invaded Athens last week can inspire him.
ti si sramota hrvatske. If you even speak croatian
Hey Malaka Ne seri. Are you a Majer jock sniffer or something ? Maybe your one of those Astoria Croats with a Greek Cetnik spouse 🤷🏻♂️
You’re**.. kinda fitting your english is as bad as your Croatian.. Let me guess… your parents moved to the states and gave birth to you state sides and now you’re try to over compensate… orrrrr…. you left by your own power, which is even worse… sramis se…
I can’t imagine Majer continuing on in a slump regardless of where he is; however, a change may be exactly the thing needed to get him back on track much quicker.
Certainly, Majer is largely responsible for his lack Lustre performance at Rennes last season, but I wonder how much of a part in it the people surrounding him played?
Given the value of the deal, which apparently is the third highest in Wolfsberg history, it appears that they see something in Majer that Rennes may not have been able to make good use of.

Great move!
He was going to be lost if he was left in the French league. He will be able to grow and reach his potential in Germany. Kovac as coach is a great bonus in his favor. This should be an exciting season for him and a great comeback player of the year tyoe situation. Expecting to see great things in the future.
Bad penalty miss against Spain recently. Hope this majer move provides a good change and growing opportunity.
Yeah it was a bad penalty but people need to let that go. Personally I think the penalty Livaja took against Japan was a thousand times worse. But in both cases people need to let it go.
If these players can turn things around this season, and produce better results for the National Squad then it will end up being water under the bridge.
Love it! Fantastic move by Majer in my mind. Kovac might just give him an edge, a little more feisty dude than what we’re accustomed to.
He is, the heir apparent for now.
We gotta take care of our boy
