Who else but Maminjo? 😉
CroatianSports/CroatianSoccerReport officially launched in the winter of 2008. Since then, it has united the dijaspora in conversation relating to all things Croatian sports; but mainly Croatian football. It’s pretty cool for me personally to see that it worked and it gives me great joy to know that I (and the rest of the CroatianSports Team) built something that has been around for over a decade and still appreciated by Croatians all over the globe. And it’s the engagement that really puts things in perspective for me. I’ve alway been an Engagement Guy.
Croatia will never win in numbers; with a population under 4 million. But she will always win in quality.
Our website has amazing engagement all across the internet and different social media. The ‘140,000’ number solidifies that stance. Not even ESPN gets these kinds of numbers on their website, but that’s because they don’t have the same community we have.
If you look at CroatianSports’ comments from yesterday on the new proposed 2022 World Cup kits from Nike – across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and this website – everybody absolutely lost their marbles! Hundreds of comments rolled in with 80% absolutely hating the design and expressing their feelings without holding back. That’s what this website is all about and I thank you all for being a part of it. It’s going to be a fun two months with you all leading up to the World Cup.
P.S. A big shout out goes to Maminjo who has posted a total of 1,657 comments in his career at CroatianSports. Impressive!
