Croatian striker Mario Mandžukić is getting service in Munich, and is not disappointing his new team. The 26 year-old Mandžukić was bought by German giants Bayern Munich after a superb Euro 2012 campaign, where he scored three goals in three games this past summer. He hasn’t let off the gas yet.
On Tuesday night, against former club Wolfsburg, Mandžukić got the start and scored two second half goals to cap a 3-0 victory for Bayern. Mandza received two perfect crosses in the box and headed both past Wolfsburg keeper Diego Benaglio. The win keeps Bayern perfect to start the season and gives Mandžukić his fifth goal in as many games; good enough for the Bundesliga scoring lead this early in the season.
But how can Mandžukić keep this form up? Is it the service or is he quickly transforming into a killer striker?
Mandžukić was subbed out in the 79′ due to injury. Ivica Olić played the full 90 minutes for Wolfsburg, giving them their only shot on goal.

In other news on the day, Ivan Perišić got the start for Borussia Dortmund and played 68 minutes in a 3-3 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt. Ivan Klasnić made his Mainz debut, coming off the bench in the 75′ in a 3-0 loss to Schalke. Nikica Jelavić came off the bench in the 65′ for Everton, during their 2-1 loss to Leeds United in the Capital One Cup.
