Luka Modrić and his new friends will entertain his former team, Dinamo Zagreb, tomorrow in London at White Heart Lane. The UEFA Cup group stage clash will not only be important for Luka Modrić and Vedran Ćorluka for obvious reasons, but it will be a crucial game that decides how Group D plays out.
After an amazing comeback win in Zagreb a couple of weeks ago against NEC, Dinamo can just about stamp their ticket into the UEFA Cup knockout stage with a win against the Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow. Modrić will start for the Spurs but Ćorluka can only watch from the bench. Due to my understanding, Ćarli cannot play in a UEFA Cup game for the rest of 2008 because he has already contested in the tournament this year with another team- Manchester City.
The game will kickoff at 21:00 (9 PM) London time and can be seen on Fox Sports Espanol in the States.
Should be a fun game to watch as Modrić tries to impress against his former teammates.
Any Predictions?
sorry matt, Corluka didnt play today because he has already played for another team (man city) in this seasons uefa cup tournament
I think it will be a tie, corluka being out of there defence will hurt them, 2 – 2
3-1 spurs, but Mandzukic is gonna show he is a legitimate star in the making. consider this game an audition for him
Tottenham is back to form and is at home for this match…they should win easily…by at least 2 goals…
I dont think Dinamo will win but you have to have hope!
so Dinamo3-2 Spurs
