Modrić and Real Madrid easily handled Mateo Kovaćić and Chelsea in the Champions League quarterfinals this week (4-0 aggregate). Real Madrid won 2-0 once again Tuesday night as Modrić played the full 90 minutes in the match. He received a 7/10 grade for his efforts as he “Grew into the game, helping Real Madrid improve and dictate the tempo in midfield when Chelsea pushed forward for a goal,” via Marca.com.
Real Madrid are expected to meet Manchester City in the semifinals.
Mateo Kovačić also played 90 minutes in the loss. He was given a 6/10 grade from Goal.com as he was “A little frustrating in the final third, including a sensational air volley, but flexed his pressing and passing quality to keep Chelsea on the front foot.”
Matt Lebo’s Ballon d’Or candidate for 2023, Ante Rebić, rode the bench for AC Milan in their 1-1 draw against Napoli. AC Milan go through to the CL semifinals based on their 1-0 1st leg win. Both Napoli and AC missed Milan penalty kicks in this match. With Milan winning, that guarantees a Croatian to play in the Champions League Final again this year. Musa or Broz will meet them in the semifinal.
Musa with a nice goal aka mandZo vs. Denmark style – right place right time he finds himself – combine olic/mandZo and we got ourselves a quality striker
Brozo got megged which led to the goal- had terrible pass in own box that Shoulda been goal but went off the post. Had decent game minus those 2 blunders – they were big mistakes tho
he is not a world-class player
for those who called other players –
beside Modric is so delusional ][
He’s back!!!!
You’re delusional.
Broz is still getting back to his 100% “epic broz form”….and is still world class.
You’re a unicorn 🦄 that needs lube but why do you continue to change your name on here?

75th minute – Modrić is the highest rated player on the field. I can see him having a lot of impact next season as well.
Maybe it’s (mis)perception but it so often feels like he’s better in second halves than firsts.
The more he plays, the better he gets. He does tend to grow into games. The same is true for Real as a team…they tend to get better in the second half.
Agreed on your prediction. Chelsea need a complete overhaul, and some time to turn things around, and Lampard is not the guy. Real shouldn’t have too many problems here. The biggest challenge for Real will be vs City in the semi’s.
I hope you’re right on Real. Chelsea didn’t look too bad to start last week. Betting on Napoli at -135 in the 90 is tempting though it doesn’t look like they’re their previous dominant selves.
I’m taking Napoli to thrash Milan by at least 3 goals…you heard it here first !
Nostradamus I’m not…🙁
I would have bet the house on Napoli at least winning!
Glad they lost. Now get rid of Man City and have a Modric vs Broz final.
