Per ESPN, Nike unveiled every 2024 kit they would be producing for national teams this year; which includes Croatia.
The rumors were true, the home kit will be comprised of the largest red-and-white checkers Croatia have ever taken to the pitch. The away kits emulate 2018 with a dark blue/light blue “wave” across the entire shirt.
I’m not a fan of the red-and-white home kits at all. The collar is atrocious and it looks the team is getting ready for the Kentucky Derby rather than Euro 2024. Grade: F
The blue away kit is clean! it reminds me (in reverse) of the ’98 home jerseys with waving checkers across the entire top. I’m a big, big fan. These are the best away “darks” since the 2018 World Cup in my opinion. I love the “waving flag” design. I will be purchasing. Grade: A-
The collar of the home kit IS atrocious indeed!
Quality of the home shirts looks terrible – especially the collar. Did Nike outsource to Fanatics?
Not a fan of the home. Blue are good (but nowhere near as good as the 2018 away)
Seems like there is no license to sell these shirts in Canada and possibly the US? That is what I have heard anyhow. Also, if you go to the Nike website they don’t have any Croatian gear for sale like they did in previous cycles however they have it for other countries.
Seems strange.
The home jersey reminds of something you’d see in Buffalo Sports back in the day.
Even the away one is shit with these stupid diamonds on ’em.
Why can’t Croatia have a full red home jersey, white shorts, and blue socks to look smart like Sydney Croatia?
And there’s no reason the away strip shouldn’t be full black rather than Italian and French blue.
For everyone who doesn’t like the home kits, you can be assured that we’ll likely wear the away kits more often. Spain’s home is red, and away is light yellow (with red accents), therefore we have to wear blue. Albania usually has red for home, and white for away (not confirmed yet), again we’ll have to wear blue. Italy has blue for home, and white for away. In this case, I would guess we’ll wear our home red/white checkers (it could go either way).
Italy always defaults to blue, so we’ll go with checkers there.
I’m curious to see which kit will be the “cursed” one for us.
At 2018 World Cup, the away black/blue kit was our lucky kit…but then we lost the Finals wearing our checkers.
Then the reverse happened at 2022 World Cup when we won with ours checkers, but lost to Argentina when wearing our away blues.
Yes the color of your shirt determines the winner of matches. LMAO
Look up the meaning of apophenia if you don’t already know it.
As already pointed out, when have players had to say “they look better in person” in the past?
Ante and a lot of people are over reacting on the home jerseys.. if you don’t like them maybe a C grade. An F grade jeez that’s rough. I actually like them and think they stand out. Anyways I’m going to get both jerseys home and away. Support the team and support the sales of the jersey and wear it proudly during the euro. Hating on the jersey is unnecessary negative energy. The jersey represents Croatia and the national team. It has the checkers bigger than ever on display. So
Let’s goooo!!!
I also really liked the large checkers (as thought they would look good on the field)
But the facts are the facts
Modric, Sosa, all of them were quoted as saying “The jerseys look better in person, than in the pictures”
When have our players ever had to say this about our jersey ? lol
Modric should tell Nike he’s going on strike until they fix it (at the very least have the light blue (from coat of arms) socks a la Euro 1996)
If the socks were different (and in-line w/ Miroslav Šutej original sketch) – this would immediately differentiate the kit from Denmark, Malta, Russia, Poland, etc etc etc
“Projecting” forward at this rate (if they don’t change the socks now)
This Home version is just the interim step (to remove / minimize the checkers forever)
Predict the WC 2026 Home jersey will look similar to our 1996 away jersey i.e. all white w/ a little trim of checkers on the sleeves or something like a horizontal strip along the chest
By Euro 2028 our Home jersey will be all white (with the only checkers remaining in the HNS logo)
Matanović just needs to get faster, he’s a bit slow,, stay healthy and get quicker,,he will be the striker we have long awaited for
Home kit is horrible, disgusting actually. Especially in the photo above. It looks like the shorts are mismatched with a different kit with the blue numbering, which is entirely too large. Probably young serb interns are designing these.
Away kit, meh.
We will not win euros just because of these kits, no other reason!
Couldn’t care less if we wore pink with kittens on them- just beat Italy in the Euro. I love Italian people and their food /drink and lifestyle big generality . We are so close to them. So, let’s say friendly rivalry but sure would be nice to quiet them down a few notches AGAIN. ajmo decki
Away is super. I would have preferred smaller squares on the home, but it will grow on me
Igor Tudor new SS Lazio coach
He’s a very good coach. Just wears his emotions on his sleeve, which can cause problems for him. But his results are good.
Both Tudor and Bjelica would be great options for us in the future if they can manage their emotions. Both are still young and should get better with age.
Is there such a thing as a “too emotional” Croatian ?
Seems like an oxymoron 😉
I remember when Srna was announced Captain – lots of reports in the press that many thought he was “too emotional” – but I thought that was actually one of his best attributes
These guys are > 45 y.o. now – they ain’t changing – unless you mean by the time they hit 80 😉
They are who they are – we take the good / with the “bad” – I don’t want them to change who they are
But I know what you mean – they might be “shooting themselves in the foot” sometimes by not controlling themselves better
At least their emotions are genuine – not the silliness we see now – with every manager (in the PL) celebrating like a lunatic after every goal – a lot of that seems fake just bc they know the cameras are on
Oba dva dresa su super.ali plavi je praf PLAVI
I like the 3D style numbers. Very 90s, and it makes both kits look better.
I don’t like the aways being this bright blue though. I like the black from the 2018 and 2020 kits more. I hope we go back to black in the next go around.
The only good thing about the home kits is that the large blocks don’t interfere with the number on the front of the kits. Usually there is a blocked out white area behind the number, that ruins the checkers on the front of the kit. This allows for the number to be captured within one square. But this was solved with our 2018 World Cup kits anyway, so it would have been better to stick with the size we had for 2018 and 2020. Don’t make the checkers bigger or smaller. Stick with what works.
Why black?
That is not our checkerboard color.
Why blue?
Blue is not our checkerboard color either. Yes it is on our flag, but I prefer black because it looks very sleek as a colorless ‘away’ kit and it satisfies the Ujos on this site too, ha ha.
Igor Tudor named Lazio coach.

Croatia-Tunisia match on the weekend is scheduled to be shown on the FIFA+ website.
Croatiansports, I wrote a comment for Dannyj, Maminjo and Markus Rajic but it went into the moderation queue. I’d be grateful if you would have a look at it, thanks!
@Dannyj @Maminjo @Markus Rajic
Igor Matanovic netted his 11th goal (24 appearances) this season as Karlsruher blew out Magdeburg 7-0 in 2. Bundesliga.
Matanovic made it 6-0 in the 51st min.
https://youtu.be/GwThy6bu5HE?si=eY9bwpJukFeVhgzb&t=209
During the first half, he also played a part in making it 2-0 (13th min). Ran over and pressured the opposing defender who slipped and gave the ball away to Igor’s teammate (who went on to score).
https://youtu.be/GwThy6bu5HE?si=MahWWjVax1Y1tiI1&t=43
69th min, Igor created an opportunity for his teammate after making a deft first-time pass from the center circle.

Igor looks up to Mandzo and Zlatan btw.
In addition to being Karlsruher’s top scorer, he is also the highest rated player of his team as per kicker’s rating system. Not bad for a 20 year old (dude will turn 21 on Uskrs).

@Dannyj
Marty Batina. Lol that’s a good one😁
Yea he was brought up on here a couple years ago, then wasn’t mentioned again. But it looks like he was out with a shoulder injury for a while, which is probably why.
He is Eintracht Frankfurt property, but I’d rather he stay at Karlsruher if he isn’t going to start at Frankfurt. They seem to have a mess of young forwards there, along with Kalajzdic (who turned out to be a big bust at Wolves).
@Maminjo
Kalajdzic just gets frequently injured, he wasn’t doing bad when he was at Stuttgart before he made a move to the Premier League. There in Stuttgart, he was always scoring from Sosa’s service.
We need one of our big target men to get that sosa service and we are the champs
I like Sosa, but his passes lately seem to be more from a spray shot gun rather than a sharpshooter like modric. I do like the fact that Sosa seems to get nice lift, and when he first came up, he seemed to have accuracy and range.
I really like how Japan crossed the ball in the WC against Croatia.
I have faith Sosa will figure it out in his early thirties like a typical Croatian soccer plater does.
You know I used the name Bog i Baturina a few times, that’s where anyone could’ve came up with the silly nickname of Marty Batina!
Anyway, these nicknames you fools come up with are really stupid and I don’t want to see them used again, if I see them again, than I’m going to have back here and go full Balta Mode on all of you muppets. You’ve been warned.
Take your pick. The final list is below…
Marty McBaturina
Mar-a-lago Baturina
Kuna (Marten) Baturina
Martini Baturini (if he goes to Serie A)
Martin Bort-urina
Marty Batts
Martin ‘the batboy’ Baturina
Martin Future King Jr
Spartan Baturina
Martin Batatouille
Martin ‘Not My Luka’ Baturina
Martin Rat-a-tat-tat-turina
Martin Butterfat Baturina
@Maminjo
I like Baturina, but if known, I would accept the nickname given him by his teammates, and if you weren’t drunk you’d agree with that.
It said the YouTube video was private and wouldn’t play.
If we can get a combo of zlatan and mandzo somehow.
I feel sorry for any defender to play against that
Think about how mean and fierce that dude would be
Best of luck to young Igor
But like maminjo says no rush to come up
He Will physically mature alot in the next couple of years and hopefully everything else will come with it
Not bad. I kinda like the home kit. As a few of you have said here, the large checkers will likely stand out on TV.
They probably should have extended the checker design onto the socks as well.

I like these a lot more now that I can see the details. The home kit looked terrible at first glance, but its not that bad now that we can see the full kit (with shorts/socks). I like the subtle striped pattern on the white shorts. The blue away kit looks great, however I liked the darker blue leaked version better.
White socks w/ the home ?
Would be perfect w/ light blue socks matching the coat of arms a la Euro 1996
https://www.croatiaweek.com/croatia-football-new-kits-unveiled/
Not bad with the numbers
I think a lot of people would have liked to see the away outfit as Grey, Black, red like in 2018, otherwise a great away design. Let’s see how the white red home jersey look on television as people were discussing of recent.
They will go down as legendary once we win the whole thing!!
I don’t actually hate the homes as much as some of you guys
The homes would be cool tho If it was same design as the aways except red and white
But alas it’s what we have
