DINAMO CLINCH CL GROUP STAGE SPOT
Everything looked under control after ending the first half scoreless in Sweden; then it all started to unravel for Dinamo Zagreb. With the game 0-0 in the 51st minute, Šime Vrsaljko was sent off with a straight red after a silly and immature stomp on a Malmo player, who was actually trying to kick the ball out of bounds with Jerko Leko on the ground. Even though a red might have been a bit too much, Dinamo was brought down to 10 men for the remaining 40 minutes of the match. The atmosphere in the stadium suddenly changed and you can see an extra spring in the steps of the Malmo squad. With Ante Rukavina looking like he’s never played the game before missing not one, but two clear break-away attempts, Dinamo could not put the game away.

Finally in the 69′, Malmo got what they were looking for and scored off a free kick from the left side. Dinamo keeper Ivan Kelava cheated and could not cover the near-post shot. With Malmo up 1-0 and the crowd into it, it was game on! Dinamo decided to play bunker for the remaining 20 minutes of the match only having Sammir and Mateo Kovačić having to do everything up front by themselves. 17 year-old Kovačić had a fantastic outing stringing multiple passes together and holding the ball well in the midfield. He definitely lived up to the hype in this match.

Dinamo return to Zagreb to a very warm welcome
Dinamo fans had their blood pressure go through the roof in the 86′ when Malmo made it 2-0 from a scramble in the box. With five added minutes being shown from the fourth official and Malmo one goal away from stripping Dinamo of their Champions League dream, all Dinamo and Croatia fans alike were thinking the same thing- not again!
‘Man of the Match’ Kelava came up big and made another fantastic save to keep the game 2-0 in injury time before the Italian ref finally blew the whistle in the 96′ to officially put Dinamo into the Champions League draw this Friday in Monaco. You can hear the exhales of Dinamo fans around the world when that whistle was finally blown.

@Matko,
"An "About Me" page for each user, showing post count, time zone, country of posting, and signatures for posts."
Great idea. As of right now, we are just doing a "Members page" with an option of picture, name, alias, country of posting.
We will look into "post count" and "medal count" for members. These will most likely be updates after the site launches. We dont want to keep everyone waiting even longer than we have already.
@BlackZodiac,
I still dont know how our forum section works. But I like where your head is at. We will look into this.
Yes, admin can delete comments.
Ante and I are not doing the HTML codes or any of the backstage work for Croatian Sports.
At this point, we are just a few minor adjustments from launching. We had some troubles with page uploads that we need to fix before we launch.
I'm sure after we launch, there will be plenty of suggestions from CSR nation.
I'm with @NYC regarding a Ziva Istina forum. Like a weekly column in a newspaper. You should set up a poll for it. I'm a unanimous yes, obviously.
^ I agree
@ Denis
-A "medal count" could be placed next to the user's name to show that he/she is a great contributor or emits positive influence on the website or the community. Admins change the # of medals at will, even decreasing it if the user behaves inappropriately. Titles could be added, depending on the medal count (like "Site Rookie" or "Crofan").
-A subforum should be added for quick or breaking news regarding Croatian or club football (e.g. Klasnic breaks his leg, or Tottenham's next game was suspended for the following reasons, etc.).
-An "About Me" page for each user, showing post count, time zone, country of posting, and signatures for posts.

Do you need any html codes by any chance? Any basic webpage forum comes with the options to quote, search, bold, underline, italics. Even the option to chance forum skin, ranking systems can be implemented.
@Zach Amen.
Dude, Get a life
@Dinamodennis
UK times would be nice for NT games and/or Dinamo-Hajduk though
@Denis
Just add TV listing in North America and Hrvatska.
Seeing as 75% or more people on this site are from North America (going by the visitors list)
@Denis, the site I gave I think gives all listings in the Western Hemisphere as well as Western Europe (German TV & ESPN-U.K. are listed). Take a look at it. I have cable, so I pay attention to ESPN channels (including 'Deportes' & espn3 – although I hate watching a game on a computer screen), the FSC channels (including FSC+) & Gol TV. Said site does list satelite channels as well.
@Denis > please give Ziva Istina a column. Can't say I agree with him all the time, but he makes me think and he usually ends up being correct on how things turn out.
Great idea Hamilcar.
After every "Croatians Around Europe" we post a schedule for the upcoming week. The problem is that we have people coming on this website from all over the world. We can't list channels from all over the world.
I can add a "Gol-TV 11:45" after a listed game.
Any suggestions?
Denis: "if you copy and paste what someone writes please put it in quotation marks."
———————
Amen.
@Ano, hahaha no problem – I figured all you meant was that UEFA or FIFA have requirements that one does have to have some documentation to play for a NT. I was just making a point that Croatians as well as all White people need to get thru heads; our survival requires it. I also like to point out real history, not the bullshit they teach in schools and the history channel. All countries are made by immigration, all countries are destroyed by immigration: the original Croats migration from ancient Persia to White Croatia (north shore of Black Sea in Ukraine as well as areas in Poland) to Illyricum and Pannonia (modern day Croatia) made Croatia; the ONLY thing that could destroy her is foreign immigration, not war, not natural disasters, etc.
On another note: is it possible for CSR to give TV-Listings of the upcoming games that have a Croatian connection? here's a good site for all soccer listings:
http://www.livesoccertv.com/schedules/
A quick update from CroatianSports.com…
As you all know, your comments are the bread and butter of this site(obviously exemplified by 150+ comments on this post). If I had to break down the site in numbers, I would say:
50% comments
35% exclusives(Kranjcar, Redknapp, Petrovic, Bogut, etc etc)
15% articles, fanzones, etc etc.
1) All of the srticles and comments will be transfered over to the new site.
2) I requested an option for the writer to have the power to delete his/her comment. Unfortunately, this is not possible as it is here on blogger.
3) Get into the habit of adding "@denis" when you reply to someone.
4) Also, if you copy and paste what someone writes please put it in quotation marks.
5) I will try to get some HTML options for you guys so you can add "bold" and/or "underline" etc etc to your comments.
6) Any suggestions/comments?

I could care less about a piece of paper with words (passport), the question is is Dario Croatian by blood? – that makes you Croatian, not words, not geography, not even languange – hell, the original Croats didn't even speak what we today call 'croatian' or 'serbo-croatian'. And obviously, once upon a time, there were no Croats in the land we today call Croatia – so obviously, a NATION is a people – not a geographical location.
Before you start going crazy, I never meant it in that regard. I meant it purely that there is a history with Croatia and him. However brief it was and maybe Dinamo might have a way to contact him because of that history. Not at all indicating we should get him for the National Team.
"I am not sure if you are being sarcastic or not, but I agree Dario has the scoring touch! He also has a Croatian passport. :-)"

Bravo dinamo, Keleva saved your skins, croatian clubs always do things the hard way. 4th place beckons in CL group, but still an amazing achievement reaching it, and nice to see a croatian club in the top tier once again. I would like to see dinamo vs the red mafias olympiakos and stick it to them, so they can leave CL with atleast one win to their name.
I'm not being sarcastic at all, he has a goal ratio of almost a goal every two games. Unfortunately I think Ajax have already loaned him to Boca Juniors for the season 🙁

Other than that, Dario Cvitanich seems to score wherever he is.

Bring Suker out of retirement.

time to go to school with some of you guys, well with at least one idiot……
@anonymous……
Eduardo has no interest in coming back to dinamo. No chance that happens. Besides, he is not the same player he was when he left. He is done as an elite player.
Why would you sign Kresic and Galinovic??? Those are two guys who don't play first team soccer. Again, why would you want to bring in someone else's garbage. Dinamo has that already with Rukavina.
Now, to some guys who actually know something….
@Andrej……Bilic going to dinamo would not be a complete shock to me. I have no idea what his makes in Spain, but I don't think it is more than $1.2 million. Dinamo could come close to matching that if they were interested. Only way Bilic makes that move is if he thinks playing for dinamo and producing can get him back on the repka.
All these other names being mentioned are guys who are second and third-tier options who will not bring much to the CL.
http://www.jutarnji.hr/bilic-za-dvoboje-s-maltom-i-izraelom-prekrizio-mladena-petrica–pranjicu-smanjena-kazna-/968231/
squad for the upcoming games for national team
Hajduk should also thank Dinamo for qualifying for the CL, Hajduk's coefficiant jumped a full point despite doing nothing in Europe this season meaning they will probably be seeded in the 3rd round of the Europa League next season
Dinamo has to do everything to save the club football 😉
If Dinamo can't get Mate Bilic, get Ivica Banovic out of EC, that's another option 😀
I heard a guy called Runje was out of contract…
Timo Hildebrand is out of contract in Germany. He could ad some consistency in goal for us.
I agree hes a AAAA player! But heve a AAAA player can have a few good games so im fine stickign with him….even though I could have killed him last night. haha.
I hope for the weakest possible group and pray Dinamo make it out of the group stages!
Ziva,
What would the chances of Mate Bilic going to Dinamo be?
I don't see that happening but out of all the names I could think of that could give Dinamo a boost and would somewhat be a realistic target he sprung to mind. I doubt he would join Dinamo but right now in his career he has nothing going for him and he is at least a decent player.
Yah the players need to be available or having a real hard time at there current club like pranjic to get a loan put in place. I do not see a big reason to trasfer in players like this unless they are cheap like Simunic might be. I just hope a few more bodies come in so there is some depth going into Champions League.
I am really happy to get into Champions League and in face every thing else might be a bonus but I think Dinamo needs to set 3rd place as a goal and play in Europe in the winter months. We never get the oppertunity, Dinamo should try real hard to make it happen.
How about Mateja Kezman? 🙂 also, not be outdone by Hajduk, I got a funny feeling that Barcelona will be coming back to Croatia.
They can't just sign players like Kresic and Eduardo. They are happy at their clubs.
in fact, dinamo should have signed cale..as ibanez tends to make defensive mistakes…
bring back eduardo on loan since they have the $$$ from CL football…to pay eduardo wages…
sign kresic or galinovic..to replace keleva who is inconsistent
If Rukavina shits his pants on the road playing a side like Malmo, then what will he do against CL sides.
I'm not saying he is garbage based on yesterday's game. i've been saying he was garbage since the day he moved from Sibenik to Hajduk. The boys who post on this site know I've been talking shit about Rukavina for the last three years.
Either way, whatever dinamo does the remainder of this season is a bonus.
Dinamo can play any of Chelsea, United, City or Arsenal if they qualify tonight. Because of the rules in place, they can only get drawn with one of the 4 teams.
Rukavina is what he is. He might be too good for the HNL, but he isnt good enough to play in any decent league. He will easily be taken care of in Champions league competition against good team, even the weaker teams will take care of him. He is like a baseball player in AAA in baseball, he might be too good for AAA, but he sucks when he makes the big club. Hes a AAAA type player.
Dinamo needs to badly find another striker if it wants to take Europe seriously this year, and Mamic has all the reasons to take it seriously. Champions League is big cash and investing a bit into the team should be important.
@ziva I'm not saying he's good enough and that hrs going to lead Dinamo to glory, but you can't judge a player after one game. Especially a game in which he played like he did. I'm just pointing out that he scored some important goals inthe Europa League last season and i have enough faith in him (just) to believe he can score some again. Answer me this; how many Dinamo players have 2 or 3 seasons of proper European action under their belt and could therefore be expected to perform under a lot of pressure that these games bring?
Also, which English teams could Dinamo face? I hope they get an English team just so I can go watch
How about a hypothetical Raul?
Just another reminder to always fear the Italian referee!
Bravo Dinamo!
Will the new croatiansports site have like a proper forum and stuff?
Will the new croatiansports site have like a proper forum and stuff?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdBFdPunciI&feature=fvst
Do we seriously have nothing better to do?
Zlatan Muslimovic is out of contract…Sasa Bjelanovic?
Not the greatest players but both experienced at a decent level. Can't think of any other players from Croatia or the neighboring nations. They can always get some South American/African but simply can't think of realistic names now
I'm also on the 2 strong/1 weak plan. Bring in a ManU/Real Madrid/Barca with AC Milan or Villareal. Let's see if that Villareal win last year in Europa was well-deserved.
Getting Barca in the draw would be funny. Dinamo will obviously get smashed and all the Dalmatinci/Hajdukovci will then say, "At least WE didn't lose to Barca."
Dinamo can fight for a 3rd spot and play Europa after the winter break if they grab Fenerbahce/Olypiacos or Basel/Copenhagen. We shall see. CSR will put up a post after the Wednesday matches are done. We will then know which teams are in which pot. Then we can talk combinations.
Re: Vrsaljko Red Card
I watched the play live. Jerko Leko went down and Malmo attempted to kick the ball out for fair play. There was no threat either way because the ball was at midfield. The ball was going out when the Malmo player, who got fouled, trapped the ball instead of letting it go out as he was right on the sideline. If you watch Vrsaljko, he was completely uninterested in the play and then went from 0 to 100 when the player trapped the ball. I think he was pissed that he didn't let the ball go out.
The foul was a yellow card offense, however, I think Vrsaljko was given the red for being stupid. Malmo was about to kick the ball out and he's off fouling players. Not smart.
That's my reasoning on the red. Dumb foul plus under a dumb circumstance. Ball was going out in the next second. He didn't need to be that aggressive. A young man's mistake which he should learn from.
Berbatov from Man U?
I don't know what is up with some of you guys. Fine getting a team like Barca or Real is fine, but I want the weakest team from the 2nd and 3rd pot to give us the best possible chance to move on. Our chances are slim already, why make it even harder.
Dinamo's goal should be 3rd place and playing in Europa League is the winter while cashing in on these 6 champions league games.
Good to hear about Simunic. Dinamo should target a player like Pranjic for a possible loan move til at least January with a possible extension for the entire year. Split his pay between the two teams are it might get it done. Last thing Dinamo needs is a striker badly, the guys we have are okay for HNL but we need a some what proven striker, I could care less at the moment if he is Croatian or African. Pranjic and Simunic will make the team more "Croatian" but I really cannot think of a decent Croatian or Eastern European striker available except for Zigic on loan (but seriously another war will start before that would ever happen lol). Sow athare people's thoughts?
Man, 3-0 and it would have been over. Some of you were saying, "pssshh… a 3-0 loss won't happen," but nooooo.
Too close for comfort. GRATZ DINAMO!!!
FYI – They're replaying the game at 5:30 on Fox SKY Sport in about 9 minutes. I'm with DirecTv and it's channel 621 unfortunately it's not in HD and for some reason my Tivo only recorded 2 seconds earlier. 🙁
Watching Vrsaljkos red card again.
Wow! I am shocked at the red…yes it was a foul but a red!? Its calls like that where you wonder how the ref can call that from the angle he has a look at it from? Terrible officiating!
kelava! who wudda thunk it? i saw this kid in austria at the euros. a ball was floating around in the city square in vienna at the fanzone and it came to him. he miskicked it there too!
nk kompleks fans must be shitting themselves now. dinamo might draw barcelona and not have to pay a kuna to have them at maksimir. but, at least they got their fans…
@ Tom…..I still don't think so. Dinamo has too much depth for the HNL. I would love to be proven wrong, but I would be shocked if Hajduk is able to finish within 10 points of dinamo this season.
@dinamoblogger……if you think Rukavina is good enough for the CL, then all I have to say is I disagree. He has shown nothing in his career to make anyone think he can deliver in the CL. Most of his goals for dinamo were simple tap ins or produced against crap opposition. He was a failure at hajduk, a failure in greece and the beneficiary of playing for a dinamo side 10 times better than anything else in cro. Dude should be running track…
Unrelated note, but HR is said to be offering Modrić a new contract with hugely inflated wages in the next 24 hours
Congrats to dinamo. watched the game in my hajduk jersey. only team in croatia that can compete in europe is dinamo but i can proudly say torcida over bbb. if dinamo were as bad as hajduk there would be 5 people at maksimir. while hajduk still got there fans. bandwagon.
Jersey,
Pranjic would be a great addition to Dinamo whether he played CDM, LB, LM…he can do it. I watch Bayern and he isn't in there plans anymore even though he wasn't a terrible player for them under Van Gaal. Loan move would be perfect for both I think.
Ziva,
Dinamo has already achieved enough I do agree. I can talk about it being easy draw, watered down format, ect but it does not matter because they have had bad luck on many occasions as well. Mamic if he sees he can get a player or two here he wont mind buying but this is the last year of this Dinamo I expect a few big sales after CL is over.
@Tom another reason why rotation is a good idea. Fitness is kept up enough for European games and HNL
Ziva,
Do you believe Dinamo's qualification for the Group stage opens the door, even slightly, for Hajduk to challenge Dinamo for first place in Croatia?
I don't think Dinamo need an impulse-buy striker. Rukavina has proven his goalscoring abilities in the past, HNL and Europe alike. I think it was just a bad game. Admittedly it's worrying to see that as soon as he comes under a lot of pressure to perform, he doesn't produce, but just a bad game all the same. Then again you can't say he can't handle pressure after one game. Jury's out.
Also, we've got Beqiraj (who in my opinion hasn't gotten fair PT this season) and Krstanović (plus the attacking midfielders like Sammir who can be used up front) all of whom CAN score and don't think too highly of themselves to be used in a rotation. That way fitness is kept up and more versatilty is given to plan ahead of big games. I'd much rather money was spent on youth, with Kovačić and Šitum already looking like fantastic prospects.
Regarding Šimunić contesting a CB position, what will the defense look like in normal league games?
@Andrej……the cards carry over.
Making it into the CL group stage makes this a successful season for dinamo not matter what they do now in the CL.
With a good draw they might have a chance at 3rd place, but this team lacks any quality forwards to do much damage to top-tier teams.
But, it does not matter. Dinamo is in the CL and that is the main story today and throughout the year.
Agree with you Andrej, they need a striker badly. Nobody in the HNL is good enough, they will have to look abroad.
I was thinking maybe then can bring Pranjic on loan? He doesn't seem to be in the plans of Bayern, wouldn't hurt to try.
I would like: Real Madrid, AC Milan, Basel, Dinamo Zagreb…two attractive opponents and a realistic chance for at least a win over Basel
I don't care if Dinamo finishes 4th…
They could finish 3rd in Europa but the opposition they would face is Fulham, Schalke, ect! Hmm. I rather lose to the best and just get to watch them play the best rather than lose to okay teams and make less on top of achieving just as little in a weaker competition.
Its almost impossible to go out and expect them to compete with the top teams based on our talent and money…so i am just happy to be here and be this far.
On even a brighter note a huge signing for Dinamo. Simunic(I kind of figured) is signing for Dinamo tomorrow. It does not matter what you think of the guy on a Dinamo HNL standard the guy is miles infront of everyone and will be a huge improvement for them. If Vrsaljko is out a couple of games in CL as it may seem Simunic takes CB and Vida moves back to the RB spot.
I would love to see a striker signed at Dinamo but I dont see a realistic target that we can get. Any suggestions there?
I honestly expect Dinamo to finish 4th (regarding the poll) but I would like the strongest team possible from Pot 1 (Real, Barca, ManU) and even a strong team from Pot 2 but the 'weakest' team from Pot 3 (something like Basel, Olympiakos…)
Congrats DZ! Keep going!
Lol. Thanks for picking up my English there guys. Other than that, I was just more frustrated with the some of the garbage that's been posted in the threads these past few weeks.

Get a name. When there is 10000000000 people posting at Anonymous, it's hard to know who I'm talking to. This is all I can think of when I see Anonymous.

Interestingly, the next article is about appealing…I think Dinamo should pay the CHF 1000 to remove Vrsaljkos ban.
From the FIFA conduct thing:
Article 21
Yellow and red cards
21.01 As a rule, a player who is sent off the field of play is suspended for the next
match in a UEFA club competition. The Control and Disciplinary Body is
entitled to augment this punishment. For serious offences the punishment
can be extended to all UEFA competition categories.
21.02 In case of repeated cautions, a player is suspended for the next competition
match:
a) after two cautions in two different qualifying matches, as well as after the
fourth caution during the qualifying phase;
b) from the first match in the group stage, after three cautions in three
different matches, as well as following any subsequent odd-numbered
caution (fifth, seventh, ninth, etc.).
21.03 Single yellow cards and pending suspensions are always carried forward
either to the next stage of the competition or to another club competition in
the current season. 31
21.04 Exceptionally, single cautions from the qualifying phase that have not
resulted in a suspension expire on completion of the qualifying phase in
question.
21.05 Cautions and pending yellow-card suspensions from club competition
matches expire at the end of the season.
Ziva or anyone else who knows,
Do these qualify round yellows and reds transition over into the group stages?
I know they don't really account the goals or anything else like that from the qualifying but I was never sure about cards. Anyway if you know I would like to know cause I am just crurious if we are facing any suspensions come gametime.
I watched the first half and what I could of the second half. I did not see the red card for Vrsaljko. Was it deserved?
Rukavina was absolutely horrible and Kelava saved the game a few times!!!! A horrible game plan and strategy by Jurcic for this game and it almost back fired. Definetely not easy, but I will take it. 🙂
Has Simunic gone to Dinamo officially?
The draw is on Thursday so I don't know where you heard it was tomorrow.
http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2012/draws/index.html
6 losses are more money than europa…that we couldnt even make it out of so i dont care for europa if we are in it for CL.
Maybe 1 or 2 big names, but don't forget 3rd place goes to the knockouts of Europa League
Porto is pot 1 Villareal is pot 2…
@Andrej it would be nice to get a point or two though. Even just a few goals against those bigger sides
Rukavina is garbage, we need a actual striker for the CL.
Villareal is in Pot 2, Porto in 1. And somehow Dortmund in the 4th with Dinamo. hmmm
The easiest draw is Porto, CSKA, Basel….we'd have a chance but I rather face the best because this is what I come to watch the CL for is the best.
I'd have Villareal over Porto and Olympiacos over Fener
I want the best draw! As in best I mean give me Barcelona, AC Milan, and Manchester City! I dont care if its the bottom of the group that we finish I want to play the best.
Perfect draw would be Porto, CSKA Moscow, and Fenerbahce/Olympaicos.
Worst case could be Barcelona, Villareal, Man City. Although we did beat them….
Rukavina with 3 1v1's nearly costs us. Draw is tomorow, not Friday btw
I really hope they get an OK group so they can both show their quality and not be completely embarrassed.
Suggestions for the perfect group draw?
Cestitam Dinamo!
What a game. Kelava was amazing. Vida was a beast.
@TheGoldenChild – I was too busy watching the game to skim through my grammar book. I'm sorry. DINAMO
Thank god, so close to having a heart attack. Can't wait for the draw!!! How long is Sime suspended for?
I feel like a heavy amount of our commentators are taking some serious drugs before posting here.
Proper sentences and the English language are just some of the things we can start off with. We need to make a guide on rules and regulations in here, or else it's going to just turn into a steaming pile of garbage convo.
Wow 4-1 and then only a last minute save from Kelava to send them through.
I hate the way in that dinamo face the second leg, I am sure that a lot of people almost get a heart atack!
Well dinamo always will be dinamo!
I gotta favorite this website it seems invaluable handy
Thank you, I have just been looking for information approximately this subject for ages and yours is the greatest I have discovered so far. However, what about the conclusion? Are you sure about the supply?

COME ON LETS CHEER THEM ON DINAMO DINAMO DINAMO DINAMO DINAMO DINAMO DINAMO DINAMODINAMO DINAMO DINAMO DINAMODINAMO DINAMO DINAMO DINAMODINAMO DINAMO DINAMO DINAMODINAMO DINAMO DINAMO DINAMODINAMO DINAMO DINAMO DINAMO
fasten your seat belts….
Malmo score and now we are in trouble
Wow 2-0….my dreams are slowly dying i have a bad feeling that I should just stop right here…effing Vrsaljko will never live this down!
OFFSIDE!!!!
Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee no…
Now they're cheating on him with Situm.
geez… I'M gonna have a love affair with Kovacic if he keeps playing like this. Just get a goal!
Great save by Kelava. And I noticed the love affair between commentator and Kovacic.
How many subs do Dinamo have left?
BRAVO KEVLELVLELA THE GOALKEEPER
i am losing my nails here 1-0….only we can mess this up this bad!
The commentator really like Kovacic i think his name is.
effffffffffffff
like I said… "eh moj Rukavina"
He was offside..
Hell of a free kick by Malmo. However, Keleva needs to do better with that, especially after cheating over to that side.
Dinamo arent playing that bad but what they should do is pass the ball around near the midfield but instead they get sammir or another midfield player to run and try to dribble around players. That tactic is working but with 10 men and defending the lead they should clam the play down by passing it
lol
OH MY CHRIST SOMEONE SHOOT RUKAVINA
I dont care how/what Dinamo play like for the last 25 minutes as long as they get the result. That was a rough call but it is what it is now and we have to accept it and finish it out now.
Are Dinamo trying to timewaste for 30 mins? 😐
Simunic? Maybe…
Vrsaljko made a stupid play but a red…come on
e moj Rukavina….
terrible call on Vrsaljko. Yellow at most.
WOW and then Rukavina can't score from there… I heard Mamic is announcing a new signing after the match. Any ideas who it could be?
RUKAVINA!
Rukavina. Speechless.
Wow…harsh a little bit.
I really hope Dinamo appeal against that. Yellow at the most.
Harsh….
WHAT RED?
Vrsaljko noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
BOOOOO!!!!
Dinamo is playing it safe as they should be and the first half they have created and they have held of pressure. 45 minutes away from something special than we can talk who we want in the group.
malmo-dinamo http://adf.ly/2JmIT
really what I expected, Malmo have the initiative in front of a great crowd but they don't have too much quality in fairness. Dinamo lacking in the final third but they are doing just enough to control the game. Only 45 minutes, really hard to see Malmo scoring three (hopefully don't jinx them lol)
Good luck with Rukavina this year.
@Allen19,
deal
Thanks Anon
You guys were right about Huddlestone, he is just too big for the game. I guess I was just blinded by his deep goals last year. Sandro should always start for Tottenham, he is so active and doesn't mind the contact. Also he has actual ball skills and can shoot something defensive midfielders lack for Croatia (Vukojevic shot against Ireland went into Row K I think).
http://nutjob.eu/
Ah Denis, no problem man. I just take what they give me and throw it back to him. I wish Fisto was coming to NY, I would love a nice not so heated argument on why he hates Niko Kranjcar.
When Croatian sports comes up, I will proudly do a weekly edition of lines of the week for the site. Ziva Ista and myself are top contenders, but it should be fun. Also I'll have a section where people have the most idiotic lines of the week which will probably be headlined by all of the Anonymous guys.
http://atdhenet.tv/38906/watch-malmo-vs-dinamo-zagreb
Alright well looks like will find out by September if he will be playing that role again any time soon.
My boy Allen19 came to play…
"I wonder if this is Fisto talking because that's another guy who is a true Kranjcar hater and gives the crappiest explanations. "
"I'm a tool haha, I think your a tool cause you don't have the balls to make a name for yourself. "
Good stuff! Lines of the week!
Anyone got a direct link to the Dinamo game? I can't get the ones suggested to work
Allen
It wasnt the fact that he had a bad game. It was the fact that they played him in a roll he hasnt played before and he couldnt do it…I dont care if they put pletikosa in that roll…if they suck in that roll they suck! Thats it. I like Kranjcar…as a attacking mid.
If he plays great against malta good for him! I will be the first one to say he is awsome.
I never said hes a bad player.
I just said he cant play the roll modric plays …guy
Allen,
I told you about Hudd and why I wasn't a fan of his ever. He isnt a CDM and for somebody who has a foot of that power he scores 1 in 15 and has an awful of target % while he cant even do set pieces…hmm.
Its not his fault he is in that big body but he simply just isnt a good player because of that. He can't move and he may make a career out of himself playing the game but he isn't a player for a top team or a team who is fighting to reach that. He is an option off the bench maybe…but first 11? Doubt it
They will only compete for top 4 at the expense of Arsenal selling there 2 best players just as the year they got 4th with the Liverpool falling out. It does not matter though because if they dont get 4th Tottenhams best players will be leaving as well. I think this year it will be extremely hard for Tottenham to get 4th but what may help them is no CL so they can rest players in Europa and play youngsters/2nd string.
If City is smart they wouldn't give Tottenham Adabaeyor because they are competing for top 4 as well.
Diarra would help them but with both players Tottenham cannot afford to pay there salaries…so i dont see how it will happen unless city offer to pay half of ade salary or diarra wants to make half than i dont see that happening. I think they will make a signing but I dont know who i saw HR was at Bolton vs City game…Cahill? Good but is he going to really make a difference for them? Not much…if they could pull of Diarra and Ade they are in good shape if not…it will be a rough year.
Also I agree Zach G although Diarra may not be really needed. Livermore wasn't that bad yesterday and Sandro is a stud. I am starting to buy into Huddlestone being overrated though. We all know Jenas and Palacios are crap.
Oh I watched the full game, believe me guy I did in disgust. So the guy has one bad game, but we bash him. Like I said, it's comical what your saying. Andrej your really starting to open up though, good job bud. You really are one of the top posters on this site that really need it because apparently people like to bash people struggling against the best team in the world in England. He tried some passes and they failed, sorry. Can't wait till after Malta and Israel game when you start praising him and slobbering him with love after top performances DinamoDennis. I wonder if this is Fisto talking because that's another guy who is a true Kranjcar hater and gives the crappiest explanations.
If they keep Modric, and get Adabaeyor on loan and Diarra, they'll compete for the top 4
Dinamo D,
How many goals was Kranjcar responsible for? I don't recall any. He didn't play well but there was nobody who played better really outside of VdV who seemed to constantly waste chances. The second Kranjcar was taken out they conceded 2 more goals and the first goal was not his fault. Of course you could see he didn't have the defensive abilities to play against the top team in CM but what did you expect?
Modric failed in CM under Ramos! Even under Harry his first few glimpses in CM looked questioning but he finally came around. To judge Kranjcar of 1 game is ridiculous because he has never played there Modric did most of his career! Tottenham is a mid-table team without Modric who should leave anyway. Tottenham had a chance to close the gap to top 4 but once again with only 7 days left in transfer window they look like signing nobody until last second and everyone around them has improved…
I believe that is your best tagline yet ziva
"remember, there is no serb version of ziva istina."
Ante B endorsed and approved.
DinamoD,
As much as I love Dinamo I am not counting my marbles just yet. I will not jynx them until there name is in that draw officially. Personally I rather get one of the best teams Barca, Madrid, Man U…this is me caring to win or lose I want to play the best because there is a 5% chance we get out of groups so I want to play them once because we know come next season this team will be sold and CL will be a dream to make again but who knows when….
I don't care if we bunker but I see no need to. I doubt we can repeat last performance as I have not seen them play that well regardless what score was they just looked good!
serbiansoccerreport.com HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
umm…last i checked Spurs never won at Man U with or without Modric.
I don't think I'll go to serbiansoccerreport.com. Some of you guys need me here.
remember, there is no serb version of ziva istina.
Ziva Istina, idiot, Modric brings Tottenham up to a different level. How old are you? In the previous Tottenham/Man U encounters when Modric was there it was a completely different Tottenham. Go to serbiansoccerreport.com and troll in your natural habitat with your bearded brothers.
Tottenham was 2 moves away from competing for a top four spot, especially with Arsenal likely to struggle. Triple Modric's wages with a small fraction of the millions he made for Levy in leading this small/cheap club into the CL and then go out and buy a World class striker. Instead, the owner, never having been in this position, showed his lack of experience and has made of mess of it. Most of the 30 million he gets for Modders will stay in his books and Tottenham fans will come to realize that Luka made his teammates appear to be better players than they are.
Allen
Obviously you didnt see the game..as I said before he was horrible, giving the ball away atleast 10 times under no pressure…dont think modric would do that. And I dont care who your playing..if your under no pressure you shouldnt be giving the ball away.
The result might not have been different, but Modric has proven he can play against the best, hence why Chelsea want him. Also, Modric's defending has improved a lot since he came to Tottenham and he tries on defence.

vs Man U: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgo03o_luka-modriy-vs-manchester-united_sport
Yeah I know he can't do it, only the great gods of football can play well against Man Utd. Get a grip man, it's Man Utd not Wigan. Not many people play well against Man UTD, Anderson is so underrated. I still have faith he can do it. Your comment is pretty comical DinamoDennis.
I'm not sure Modric would have played Modric's role any better against Man U. The talent gap between the two teams is very wide.
Did anyone watch the tottenham game yesterday ….Kranjcar playing Modric's role ….anyone that said eh can do it….you were proven very wrong yesterday! haha
he looked horrible!
I like this blog its a master peace ! Glad I found this on google. “Observe your enemies, for they first find out your faults.” by Antisthenes.
When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service?
I cant wait till the draw for the groups!!!
