JELAVIĆ TO CALL IBROX HOMEAfter a long month of talks, Croatian striker Nikica Jelavić finally became a member of Scottish side Rangers on Friday, transferring from Austrian club Rapid Wien- BBC reports. It wasn’t pretty though. Jelavić sat out Rapid’s Europa League first leg tie against Aston Villa on Thursday, ensuring that Rapid knew he was serious about the Rangers move.
Rapid Vienna receive £4 million for Jelavić as he locks in a new home in Glasgow for the next four years. Jelavić will have his first taste of Champions football as well as Rangers have already qualified for the group stage being last year’s Scottish champions.
Was this the right move for Jelavić and did he deal with it the right way?
