Ivan Perišić assisted on Inter Milan’s equalizer against Sassuolo on Saturday as the reigning Italian champions came back to win 2-1. Perišić placed an absolutely perfect ‘one bouncer’ pass from the sideline to the head of Edin Dzeko. The cross was right on the 6-yard box which made the Sassuolo keeper stay home on the play. Marcelo Brozović played 90 minutes of the match alongside Perišić as Inter Milan now trail leaders Napoli by four points in the early Serie A season as they head into the second international break.
Joško Gvardiol added a fine assist himself in RB Leipzig’s 3-0 win over Bochum on Saturday. Gvardiol got the start and played all 90 minutes at left-back, lifting a light lob into the box for Nkunku, who struck home for an insurance goal in the 78′. This was a big win for RB Leipzig as they have gotten out of the gates slow this season with only 10 points from their first seven games.
Super sub Mario Pašalić came off the bench for Atalanta in the 87th minute and scored an injury time goal moments later as AC Milan survived 3-2 to earn all three points. Pašalić was left all alone in the box and cooly slammed home the ball to make it 3-2 at the death. Ante Rebić played all 90 minutes for AC Milan in the match.
Mateo Kovačić received a 7/10 as he “Flew around the pitch and pulled off some unreal passes. Absolutely ran the show in the first half but saw his influence fade after the break.” Chelsea beat Southampton 3-1 on Saturday.
Luka Modrić had one of his worst games of the season as he received a 4/10 rating in 62 minutes of play. It was “One of his worst performances in recent memory. Sloppy and uninspiring on the ball”. After losing to Sheriff 2-1 in Champions League play earlier in the week, Real Madrid lost 2-1 to Espanyol Sunday and are now tied with Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad atop the La Liga table going into the international break.
Dzeko and Perisic – that was a beauty goal- let’s trade Dalic and a bag of nails for Dzeko
Livakovic will be in goal ivusic is injured
I got a feeling stanisic is condemned to third choice right back after he declared to be playing for croatia..prior to his declaration, he has been consistently in starting 11..now that even pavard is injured or suspended, the mgr prefers to use Sule as RB.
Stanisic is young lol, Sule is very good technically and the guy can move for being as big as he is. Take it from me a life long Bayern fan, Stanisic will be okay. Its his first year to push through to the first team, Sule is in a contract year and quite honestly Sule is not playing bad. I am not a big fan of Pavard but he is also has more experience than our boy. Him declaring for Croatia has nothing to do with this, he’ll be okay.
Gvardiol actually played lcb in 3 at back this weekend
Yea I think he can be a good LCB for us, with Sosa on his left.
They’re both having strong seasons right now.
Stanišić at RCB and Juranović at RB makes sense too (due to their form) with Pongračić playing RCB as he continues to get reps in with Borussia Dortmund.
Lovren, Vida and Ćaleta-Car are benched at their clubs right now, so they will be out of form.
Unfortunately we all know that Lovren and Vida will still be prioritized ahead of Stanišić and Oongra (and possibly even Gvardiol) for the CB roles.
So Dalic gave interview so from what he said goalkeeper i dont know who he plays does he drop livi for ivusic again back 4 no lovren juranovic for the 2 games and dalic said if vida is a go its Stanisic Vida Gvardiol Sosa back 4
Modric Broz Kovacic up top Kramaric Livaja Perisic. With Pasalic Ivanusec Brekalo Vlasic Orsic off bench

Two footed majstor!!
His skill has always been severely underrated.
Count me as the ONE who would start Budimir with the full attacking thrust all behind him.
We are at level zero when it comes to having a legit #9.
I am open to a La Liga, tall, active striker to get a look.
Man .. Rebić has been active for Milan.
You can’t find a spot for him in the squad?
Sit down and work out all the middle school beef.
Rebić is peerless when it comes to his presence and motor.
Please all remember how Kovačić has been getting crapped on for years on this site.
He is the #8 starter for the reigning CL winner and first place club in the EPL.
We are all late bloomers.
No nogometaš gets written off till he is 30.
versus cyprus;
……………………..Livaja…………………….
Perisic………….Pasalic…………Brekalo
……………Brozo…………..Modric………..
Sosa…….Gvardiol….DCC…….Stanisic
…………………..Livakovic…………………..
I like the lineup but subtract Liva. Too much of a fuck up.
A few things.
I’ve been saying that I’m open minded about Vlasic considering he scores some good and timely goals but he really hasn’t proven to be a dominant and consistent player. He’s had many opportunities to shine and far too often he’s not even part of the game…goes missing for long periods.
Perisic is irreplaceable for us. He’s also had periods where he’s not involved BUT he’s proven over and over that he can turn it on and destroy anyone. I simply love the guy even though he’s given me a lot of gray hairs!
Rebic. Something that has to be discussed is the fact he’s played as a striker at Milan and doing ok while we all said he was played “out of position “ as striker for us. I don’t think it’s a great position for him but he’s a very determined and emotional type of player. If he wants to, he will be effective and create chances…if he’s grumpy, he sucks balls at any position. Dalic “HAD” to play him in that position if we were going to press and create…Rebic didn’t do his job well, I won’t blame Dalic for Rebic’s poor performance at the Euro’s. He doesn’t seem to complain about being played at striker now, he should have embraced the opportunity then!
If you can’t blame Dalić, then who do you blame?
The same problem seems to exist with Kramarić when he plays up top for us, and Krama has been playing well for Hoffenheim in that position now too.
It is too easy to simply blame both Rebić and Kramarić as “not showing up” for the National Team… But I have a suspicion that Dalić doesn’t watch Milan and Hoffenheim games, and isn’t the “homework” type.
There are other factors that are impacting why they play so much better at club level. It must simply be the types of players who surround them, and everybody’s role on the field and formation/strategy used.
We all saw how Lovren and Vida played well with Modrić and Brozović covering for them at the WC… But then we see a huge drop off when it’s Kovačić in front of them. Not a knock on Kova, but he’s a different type of defensive player. Lovren also had similar success at Southampton when they had José Fonte partnering him… Then a huge drop-off the following season when he was at Liverpool.
There are so many factors and the only way to find out why, is to watch their club performances and analyze their success (ideally using advanced analytics for them and their teammates).
I highly, highly doubt Dalić is doing anything like this and as a result, we will waste both Rebić and Kramarić over the next year and tournament as well.
Not sure why you’d say Dalic probably doesn’t watch his players at their clubs, that’s just a guess and I highly doubt you’re right.
Kramaric is not a sole striker at his club, he needs someone in front of him to play with and to take space , keep defenders alert . Petkovic plays behind the striker. Both Krama and Petkovic need someone in front of them to draw defenders and make space….who else do we have Maminjo? Livaja is the same, only Budimir…and none of us would have him in our starting lineup.
I’d like to see your starting lineup which includes Krama and Rebic…who would you have as a striker or up front attacker cause that’s what the problem was.
When we play Perisic, Krama and Rebic up top, it never works out for anyone.
Budimir is injured, last I checked
Finally I deliver some actual anonymous doom
Sosa and stanisic both seem to have versatile ability and can play different spots
This may be a huge piece of our potential successes moving forward
Did Vlašić make the wrong move to west ham? He remained on the bench today in a loss to brentford.
Sure hope not
I would have personally preferred him at Milan
Westham didnt make any subs which is weird.
Imo vlasic is a good player he didnt have a preseason and it takes time to adapt into new team. I think he’ll be fine

Some read for Halilivic lovers
Great article. I’m not a huge fan, but very informative.
Marin pongracic with call up for next week 2 games. I think if he plays for dorthmund should be called uremovic gvardiol Cc pongracic should get call ups if they play for klub skoric should be emergency call up for me and lovren vida need to slowly go to bench or retire. Back Stanisic/Uremovic Gvardiol CC Sosa back 4 next 2 games?
Perišić “a pretty good club career?”
That has to be the biggest understatement of the site ever!
Perišić is the most underrated nogometaš in Europe.
He wins everywhere and his two footed skilled power game makes a winning impact with every club he has been on.
His athleticism is aging well.
Vlašić being half as good as Perišić would be awesome for us.
Speaking of underrated, Kovačić looks Uber confident as the #8 for Chelsea.
It seems he has stabilized this new level of consistency.
He has earned every bit of this as he has embraced the struggle to fulfill his potential.
He will be in his prime for the next 5-6 years.
Epic.
I only say pretty good club career as really I feel he never got the recognition he deserved
He does go missing at rune times which im sure we can all agree with
I love the guy and I hope he goes out with a bang next World Cup!
Where’s our little Messi?
Wasn’t even on Reading’s bench. Transfered again already?
The only Halilovic who is playing well is his cousin Tibor who plays in dutch league for heerenven
Is he the next Alen Halilovoc?
LAknat what’s the deal?
Hurt
Did Sosa play as a CM today? Has he been doing a lot of this?
He played Lm today winger.
Cool. How did he play?
He got a 7 rating and 3 out of 5 in german kicker.
Gvardiol got a 7.5 rating 4 out 5 in kicker
Gvardiol hasn’t had a single poor or even average game.
Just good to great every single game.
Sosa has been continuing his good play since last year.
The two of these guys need to start for us.
We’d better not be seeing benchwarmer Lovren in the lineup.
Gvardiol assist, he’s been playing well.
Roko simic looks like promising talent in 2 years if he has his fathers mentality could make it and be the striker we need looking good.
Looks like vida will be available for slovacka and cipar. Gvardiol is also healthy playing for Leipzig.
2 different lineups probably by dalic wondering what lineup he puts outs
Brekalo best torino player v juve first half
Another Roko Simic goal
So this week big 2 games and closer to wc 2022
Wonder what Dalic does this time another linuep vida lovren are questionable so is juranovic. What you think who gets the nod in goal and what does the back 4 look like.
So the english aready calling Vlasic a flop that hes not cut out for Epl.
I’m not really that surprised with Vlasic. I wish him the best but never liked his style of play. Everything he does on the pitch seems super labored.
I think all said and done he will be a bit like Perisic
Pretty good club career but Better overall for the repka
Which I’m sure we are all ok with
Hope he doesn’t rot in England then
He is very serviceable for us
Let’s give Him a bit before we call him a flop or bust tho
And no, this is not saying he is going to be luka in Spain
Can Borna Sosa stifle Kramaric on Saturday?
