Who is Petar Musa? A nobody.
But the 24 year-old, 6’3″ striker could be a somebody very soon. He has been a journeyman across Europe since playing for NK Zagreb in 2016. Since then, he has been sold to Inter Zaprešić and Slavia Prague before being loaned out to Viktoria Zizkov, Slovan Liberec, Union Berlin, and Portuguese side Boavista four out of the last five seasons. He hasn’t found a permanent home yet, but that could all change in the next month.
Musa absolutely crushed all expectations in Portugal this season for Boavista. He scored a total of 10 goals in 24 matches and is now rumored to be heading to Benfica in the summer, who finished third in Portugal and will enter European competition in the Champions League qualifying stage next campaign.
Musa finished the season strong and had a “2 goal, 1 assist” tally across five matches down the final stretch. In those games he scored or assisted, Boavista won them all.
But what does that mean for the Croatian national side?
Musa is being called up by Zlatko Dalić (for the 1st time) for Croatia’s four Nations League matches in June versus Austria, France (2x), and Denmark. I think we can all agree that Nations League is incredibly underwhelming and we (Croatians around the world) shouldn’t put results under a microscope. In lieu of results, Dalić needs to give some young guns the keys to car in June (Majer, Sučić, Musa) while the likes of Modrić, Perišić, Brozović get limited playing time after long club seasons.
But my #1 goal for Dalić in the upcoming month is this: PUT PRESSURE ON ANDREJ KRAMARIĆ!
Krama has not showed up in checkers for what seems too, too long. However, the Vatreni don’t have enough depth at the striker position to flush him out. If Livaja, Budimir, or even Musa could have solid appearances in June during Nations League, that should certainly put pressure on Kramarić and send the message that his role as a starter is no longer automatic heading into September Nations League matches and the World Cup in November.
Budimir has been in form in Spain. The same can be said for Musa in Portugal. Let the chips fall where they may.
I was really looking at true number 9s and their isnt too many good ones out there.
Top are Lewandowski Benzema Halaand Kane Vlahovic abanuyeng schick and sometimes ronaldo plays cf.
True number 9s is a dying breed imo everyone is either a attacking wing these days or wing backs
Maybe for a quick look. Don’t see anything to make a positive influence on the National Team. Just my opinion. Problem is, he’s not to physical
He’s an opportunist.
Similar to Pasalic, he puts himself in the right place at the right time.
Would be interesting to see what he can do with players like Modric, Perisic, Sosa, and Kramaric around him.
Ya but Pasalic is a lurker. Nobody notices his ass until it’s too late.
Did Jakic and barisic play?
How did they do if so?
Is he a dalmatinac
If yes then throw him in straight away
Musa?
Nah. Musas are from BiH. Jajce I think.
Hope hsv make bundesliga then mario vuskovic gets playing time in bundesliga i like we have modern cbs erlic gvardiol cc pongracic sutalo vuskovic other sutalo.
Continued and stanisic.
Im excited we usually have a smjena generacija in croatia 30 year history but this looks like we wont have one for a while i hope no jinx.
Is Erlic a modern CB?
I like his size, but does he have speed and technical skills?
Like most people, I don’t watch Spezia games, lol.
I watch games when on tv seria A hes pretty good. And on sofascore this season he has a 7 rating on average. All the cbs we can get the better. Like i said hope vuskovic makes bundesliga and has playing time aswell. Lovren Vida are done thanks for 10 years but its time to move on imo. They are not bonnuci chiellini hahaha.
Any predictions for the Europa League final today?
I can’t help but think that a “well coached” Dinamo could have beaten either one of these teams. Maybe one day.
Absolutely possible

You have bigger fish to fry then trying to convert here
Sasa Kalajdzic wanted by benfica. I think musa can prepare to sit on bench nx season
That’s no good. I really want to see him get proper minutes next year
Musa wont play with Benfica next season. They will most likely loan him out. At this point he is most likely their 4th string. Benfica kind of has a Dinamo strategy at this point, poach the best players within the league. Not to necessarily better the team, but to worsen quality of other teams.
Benfica can’t afford Sasa Kalajdzic.
Apparently, ManU and Bayern want him. No chance Benfica gets him.
Got my ticket for france game. Hopefully finally beat them and not conceed 4 goals again haha.
I said i like the squad dalic called it depends what he puts out on field. 2 hard road games c denmark and france. Austria at home i would put mixed lineup more younger players. V france put a strong team. And v denmark a mixed team. I really hope he just dosesnt put a 11 that wont never play together again and expect a result cant test players to see if ready if you dont put starting 11 players aswell. You cant have expample a midfield vlasic pasalic jakic wings brekalo orsic cf musa and expect musa to shine imo.
Give give perisic modric kova majer sosa juranovic for crosses see whats ups happy budimir musa krama thats an ok attack. Cant wait to see if matanovic beljo simic turn out to be euro 2024 players
Please, no Livaja. Unless you need someone to take a penalty shot, lol.
