Petar Sučić scored an 89’ winner for Inter to punch their ticket to the Coppa Italia final Tuesday night in Milan! Sučić also assisted on Calhanoglu’s equalizing header in the 86′ after barely coming off the bench in the 69′. Inter beat Como 3-2 in a match where Martin Baturina opened the scoring for Como in the 1st half.
Sučić received an incredible 9.0 SofaScore rating for his G+A in the 2nd half. Baturina received a 7.3 rating. This is the second time in two weeks Inter have come back from a 2-goal deficit to defeat Como.

This seems to be a bit better solidified team, than the one that qualified, with only one tie, and no losses over the last two years. We seem to have some missing pieces worked out.
Belgium and Slovenia friendlies should be interesting to let us know if this is true in a month and a half, and will be a good indicator to any progression. These are decent opponents.
For the first time I was happy with Majer’s offensive effort during the last friendlies. Don’t want him executing end of game PKs though. Have no faith.
Told you Pero played through a broken hand (cast) in March (what we didn’t know is he has a plate in his hand)
Anonymous (and Maminjo) were the only ones to notice it – nothing gets past Anonymous – every last detail is picked up – Anonymous Eye Tests are the best the World has ever seen
Imagine the difference in mentality b/w him and glass-Fruk (he took like a month off bc of one broken finger lol and now sitting out bc of some back spasms lol)
At 22 – Pero’s mentality > Modric at 22 – who knows what his ceiling is – nobody knows – but the guy is going right to the top
Pero is a gift straight from Medjugorje to all Croatians
Anonymous knew all this after 13 min cameo vs. Portugal bc Anonymous is the GOAT 😉

It was his night, Petar Sucic’s night, who in his first year at Inter paid a bit the price of adaptation and the weight of a jersey different from the others. Had Como signed him, we’d be here saying: “Why do they always find them?” Because talent also needs to be waited for, and in the provinces it’s simpler.
That’s not all; if he hasn’t shone so far, it’s also because he hid a pretty bothersome injury. Sucic broke his hand in Cremona, with Baschirotto collapsing on top of him. He had surgery, got a plate put in, and played through the pain, in silence, without moving an arm. An injury kept hidden to prevent opponents from targeting the weak spot.
Silence, talent, sacrifice, and patience.
I’m convinced that next year Inter will enjoy a great Sucic.

Thanks Anonymous. What does your eye test tell us about Vuskovic’s knee?
. . .and Gvardiol’s leg?
No clue about Josko
But Anonymous PRAYS he doesn’t rush back
We need him for 2030 WC – great chance to win it (subject to a couple other players coming through)
Anonymous HATES that every day there is news he is doing great, ahead of schedule, he will be back in 3475829 seconds from now, etc – that’s TOO much pressure on him – and he’s stubborn and wants to get back for the WC to help Croatia – so Anonymous fears he rushes and has a set-back
Let the boy heal properly – Man City don’t need him right now anyways (no clue if he even gets back into the team as they are going for the treble – and Guehi and Khusa doing good now – and Croatia wants Guehi playing every game as increases chance of injury and not playing June 17th ;-)))
SN and other Croatian papers e.g. 24sata are saying it’s nothing serious a couple days ago – no new reporting
No news = good news
No clue why Bild came out with that news and the HSV sporting director telling us vaguely why Luka has internal bleeding (that could mean anything from simple bruise to bone bruise, etc)
Anonymous will stick with Croatian papers reporting on this – they are such drama queens are would be the first to report if something was serious with Luka’s knee to get the clicks
Still think it’s all good – just resting pre-WC (and there needs to be a reason given) and second order effect tanking HSV now (to help Mario – I don’t care what anyone says – it’s a matter of fact that it’s easier for Mario (or ANY player) to get in a 2nd division team rather than 1st division team – especially since he’s not back till November (so they will need a full suite of CBs going into the season))
Sucic has been playing with a broken hand since the first of February, with an arm very much more than limited in its movements. He didn’t stop after the surgery because he was needed too, he said nothing to avoid being targeted on the field in the tackles. Now he’s back and so is the near “one-two” in true Inter-Fiorentina style with which he sent Jacobo Ramon to the bar before unloading onto Calhanoglu and going to grab the assist right in the middle of the box ⚫️🔵🇭🇷
How was eye test on Baturina bashing?
Asking for a friend ….
Well it would be one of those good problems to have if sucic, modric, and baturina are all firing and kovacic is fully fit.
The big question mark is that at this stage modric needs at least one work horse next to him. Sucic can be that
But does baturina not fill that work horse role as well as kovacic and that is the big question. Along with what form of kovacic are we getting
Pimply analyst to reload bearish crude oil Wed morning
You’re welcome
Exactly right.
Definitely good problems to have.
Kova looked solid in his few minutes he had with City. We have the two friendlies to get him some quality playing time. He is a great veteran warrior of the World Cup. He will be ready.
Under the new format, if we went all the way to the finals (a lot to ask for I know, but just hypothetically) we would have 8 games in about 33 days.
But because of the extra 30 minutes we tend to play, let’s say we will play closer to the equivalent of 9 full (and incredibly intense) games in 33 days.
That is a gruelling 33 days.
To win it, a team will have to have depth, and key players will need to be rested. Modric is a great warrior, but at 40 he cannot lead the team by playing 9 full games in 33 days. The depth becomes critically important.
Those three young horses, Baturina, Sucic, and Vuskovic can log a lot of minutes. That could be huge for us.
Some of the older players like Krama coming into a game later might be good as Krama can score key goals at a critical time and if a game goes to kicks, he would be a good choice to kick for us.
Adding a little more to the depth chart, Luka Sucic (and DCC) won the Copa Del Rey in an intense 120 minute game that went to kicks. Sucic played the whole game and scored as the 3rd kicker for Sociedad. A championship win can be a serious confidence builder, a momentum builder for those two. Two years ago we were talking about Luca Sučić as “The Future.” Now we hardly mention him at all, which shows you just how good the young talent is on the team right now . . . but his disappointing season is coming around at the right time, and we could also see a much better Luka Sucic than his earlier season form.
That Dalic has a more depth to work with is, indeed, a very good problem to have.
Sucic came on in the 59th minute. not 69th. sloppy reporting.. missed an assist too..
We’re all such a*sholes
None of us mentioned Smolcic came on for Bati in 80′
So he was on for the 2nd and 3rd Inter goals
2nd goal – he did his job
3rd goal – he did okay – not really his fault – but his reaction when Pero scores is priceless – not even sure how to describe it – he bent over to a 90 degree angle – twice – it’s funny – watch it
I thought Smolcic played really well when he was subbed on.
He was a force on the field for Como . . .
Kovacic has a mental block in forward areas for sure. Brozo was a good attacking midfielder scored quite a few very high quality goals for inter. His move to 6 position led to him losing his attacking prowess.
Did anyone else notice Nico Paz lack of defensive work-rate on all three goals ?
Watch the three goals again and just look at Paz
The guy is gassed from a long season – he was just strolling around and not cutting off/shutting down Pero – all three times – Cesc should have taken him off
Maybe he watched too much of Baturina at Dinamo footage ? 😉
Once again, 100/10 troll by Pero by copying Baturina’s celebration
Sucic and baturina can be really two game changers this summer
Agreed both have way more offensive benefits at this point then kova or broz ever brought for us
Future is bright, decki
Hopefully a huge breakout for both of them (along with Vušković).
Hoping Dalić gives them all starting roles.
I keep watching it, that is the most productive dominate soccer I have seen since Germany demolished Brazil, but that was a whole team, this was one guy in 30 minutes. Jiminy Cricket.
Fantastic.
I don’t remember the legends Kovacic, or Brozovic being as clinical, on the front part of the field as these two, at their age, or for that fact, ever.
The actually aim the ball at the goal with lethal intent and professional calmness.
Kovačić doesn’t have goal scoring prowess.
Is a very big weakness of his.
He’s good at other things, but he’s definitely below average offensively (in the opponent’s third).
Sučić actually assisted BOTH goals and then scored the winner (you missed the one at 5:40).
It’s a travesty that Calhanoglu was given MOTM.
Sučić comes off the bench for 30 minutes and sets Calhanolgu up perfectly for two goals, then Sučić somehow scores an almost impossible winner himself.
Sučić is already so much better than Kovačić, and at only 22 years of age.
Petar sucic g+2a
