By the time Hajduk with all its foreigners win a Croatian title, let alone even make the “Champions League,” the Croatian national team will look like a club team with their captain being a player with Pakistani roots 🤣🤣🤣

his story on his dad leaving home to go to watch a Hajduk game and then taking 2-3 days to return back home. That is a fan. That is love for your team. That is when your club is larger than life and the club is making decisions that make their fans leave home for days and try to find a meal along the way…anything for Hajduk!

Lovro, you and I chatted yesterday and it was me discussing with you about the HNL. people really need to understand the difference between a League like Mexico, Super Lig (Turkiye), Super League Greece, Austria, Sweden, Italy, France, Spain…and so on. all those countries have fairly strong sponsorship money and TV deals, good stadiums, good facilities for training and yet our kids from all over Croatia that have much much less quality training facilities and money have two things most countries dont have. 1) Mentality 2) Excellent Basic Skills for every kid that gets coached in Croatia.
I respect the HNL and last year I even watched some games from Sesvete, seeing that kid Saranic and noticing he’d be at most MLS teams if he was living in North America. people really need to spend a few weeks watching some of the games and you”ll eventually notice some younger kids that will surprise you like Petar Sucic did for me. approximately 5 maybe 6 years ago I first saw Misic and I was amazed at how awesome he was.
dont be a hater folks, HNL is not nearly as bad for development value than MOST countries. you just need to spend a little time and watch the games.
