A few points- 1] Bilic and his family are true Croatian patriots. His dad was an upriser and they took it out on Slaven. I’ll take a patriot like the Bilic family anyday
2]If we can’t pulverize Chechia , we might as well check out for 4 years. They are garbage and we should pummel them
3] I worked for Nike and love the move to Adidas. Nike is the IBM of sporting goods. No imagination . They haven’t had a new invention since Nike Air about 60 years ago. The kits will look amazing. Have a great day.
Improving our set pieces should be one of Bilic’s first priorities – some of the goals we’ve conceded are simply unacceptable.
On the plus side, we have some potential tall talent coming up: guys like Rados, Levak, Pavic and of course Vuskovic can really give us some aerial supremacy, especially in tandem.
Hopefully Gvardiol will be close to full fitness come the Nations League. In an ideal world he’d partner Vuskovic at the back but we don’t really have any true LB talent, unless we play Stanisic at LB and call up Smolcic at RB. For that reason I still reckon Gvardiol should play LB.
Bradaric is now a Serie B player, so I’m not the most fond of calling him up as our starting LB. Naturally I’d love for him play out of his mind and prove me wrong but I’m not particularly optimistic there
We can still play Perišić at LB as a stop-gap until we figure things out there.
I’d prefer we try Stanišić at LB before pushing Gvardiol there again.
