Former Dinamo Zagreb and AIK goalkeeper, Ivan Turina, passed away in his sleep Thursday morning at the young age of 33. Born in Zagreb in 1980, Turina began his career at Dinamo Zagreb in 1998. During his career, Turina spent time at Kamen Ingrad, Osijek and Croatia Sesvete while being on loan until playing one year at Skoda Xanthi and then Lech Poznan. In 2010, Turina returned to Dinamo and then made his departure shortly after to Sweden’s AIK in May after receiving very little playing time. It is in Sweden where Turina shined and made 65 appearances for the club. He was greatly loved by his club, supporters and teammates.
Turina is survived by his pregnant wife and twin daughters.
CroatianSports.com sends thoughts and prayers to the entire Turina family. Neka mu je laka hrvatska zemlja. Počivaj u miru, Ivane majstore.

Ante than you very much. Thats all I really wanted too know. Hope we have nothing against eachother now
Bro write a paper or article like you would in Microsoft word. Save it. Go to your email. Compose a new email. Attach the document to the email and email it to Ante@croatiansports.com. Ante will put it up. People will read it and comment. The best part is that you can write whatever you want.
Ante im joking i wouldnt hurt a hrvat ever. Dont worry but I dont appreciate seeing majority Dinamo and not hajduk. Just listen from my point of view. And also ive tried too write an article but i dont know where/how to submit one. Can you tell me?
Waiting on pins and needless sweetheart. I didn’t call you a bitch, I told you to write something first then bitch about it but you’re not understanding.
damn your so tough over a keyboard, when I go to California over summer ill call you and we can talk face to face and we will see who you will be calling a bitch
@split fuck no im not jugo, straight Hrvat born and raised there. majority of my family fought for our independence so watch who you call a jugo
Splico,
Don’t worry bud. I receive threats all the time and I get used to them, especially on Facebook. I wouldn’t call him a jugo but if it comes to blows, I can defend myself.
@Hrvat
incredible, you make a threat against Ante B.
fuck off, we don’t need your shit on this site, go to a jugo site, they will welcome you.
You dumb ass, it says WRITE THEN BITCH which means write something then bitch.
Write an article in word then email it to ante@croatiansports.com then they post it, THEN BITCH.
those were mine
ante don’t call me a bitch when I see you, you will realize that it was the biggest mistake of your life. you might be a hrvat but I will make you regret saying that
how do I write an article!
If you say they don’t know their stuff then enlighten everybody with your knowledge. WRITE AN ARTICLE.
If this site is only for Dinamo then I am a full beard cetnik. 97% of this site are Hajdukovci
Well then why don’t YOU do something about it and start writing instead of complaining?! You wrote COMMENTS?!
Let me tell you what I did. I saw this and automatically wrote something as a member instead of complaining. You should do the same. This isn’t a news website like ESPN because we’re 10,000 miles away from Cro and nobody is paid.
Write then bitch.
this site is always late about their articles and then you guys all praise ziva istina as if he is Ante Gotovina
this site is ran by a bunch of guys that don’t know their stuff I did comment a few articles back just so you know ante b. its just sad how pretty much everybody on this is only dynamo and when something happens for hajduk its not a big deal
Also you’re thinking about a Hajduk fan, not a player. Get it straight before you complain.
RIP Marko Azapovic
Hrvat,
This site is run by its members so maybe you should’ve written something instead of waiting for someone else to do it. Write something up and send it to one of the guys. Don’t be a fucking cuntrag about it.
@hrvat
Shut the fuck up. You sound like an idiot. This site is amazing.
wow im sad to hear about this RIP
but CSR u guys couldn’t post about a Hajduk player who passed away at the age of 18 screw this site you guys are terrible at keeping up to date and need to learn about the sports before you post about it because it makes you guys sound stupid RIP
Very Sad to Hear ! R.I.P. Way to Young !!!
Haha. Good one, Ziva.
Just out of curiosity, did Horvoje Custic’s family get any compensation from Zadar/league/HNS at all after his accident?
HNS should donate all profits from the upcoming Scotland match.
@Colin
Good to hear. Hopefully HNS does something as well.
Dinamo and AIK have just announced that they are in talks of setting up a friendly match, and all proceeds will go to Turina’s family. They haven’t set a date yet, but it will be in the coming month.
I’ve always been nice. I just don’t like seeing little kids at the funeral of their father at a very young age. I really hope someone does something for his wife and daughters and the thrid kid who is on the way. Shit, if there is any money left from that Gotovina ad-raising adventure, send it their way.
R.I.P. Ivane…
Same birthday as my old man and my girlfriends old man.
Must have been a solid guy.
I’m starting to think Ziva has a woman (and not just his mom) in his life now. He’s been rather nice lately… 🙂
R.I.P
RIP
R.I.P.
Hopefully his club team, the HNS and maybe even Dinamo set up some sort of fund to raise money for his kids so their schooling and future can be assisted and taken care. Playing in Sweden didn’t make this guy a millionaire, so I doubt he was set up for life.
If any of you guys are aware of anything that has been established or if you read about anything, can you post the info here. I will gladly donate money for his little girls.
Ivane
Pocivaj u miru Bozjem.
RIP
Thanks for stepping up and writing this, Mr. BBB.
