Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitić left the field in the 18th minute Wednesday night in Barcelona’s 3-0 Champions League win over BATE Borisov, ESPNFC has reported. It appears he tore a muscle in his right leg and will miss the rest of November. Lucky for the Croatian national team, they will not need to play a November playoff and will not need the services of Rakitić this month. However, for Rakitić and supporters alike, this means he will miss the El Clasico versus Luka Modrić and Real Madrid on November 21st.
This injury should have no effect on the lead up to Euro 2016 next summer in France.
i dont agree on ziva alot but he IS making some valid points. Also, not cool to call someone an idiot my dawgs. peace out
When will Hajduk start boycotting their own shitty uprava. I still lol when i remember the whole tomislav kis stuff
Extra question marks in your comment indicate that in fact you are likely upset. So that answers that.
Also the only one spreading false narratives is you.
Goof??????
Talking shit?????? Ok, then.
They won the group. The third game in the group phase didn’t have the same intensity because it was a dead match. I’m sure they wanted to win it, but you don’t have the same approach to a dead match as a live match.
And me upset????????? negative. that is a false narrative that some of you homers like to throw around. Trust me, Ziva Istina doesn’t get upset. Its not my style.
Maminjo,Ziva istina is a goof!
Ziva your an idiot! No knowledge what so ever…Croatia beat them a month prior…Nigeria was talking shit all week about beating us a showing we were lucky to beat them! Nigeria was all ready going on…but they wanted to smash us but couldn’t…I know your upset our kids did well!
Much easier to beat a quality side when the that said quality has no incentive to win. Not every game is treated the same, especially in group phase of a tourney when the group phase is clinched.
Of course it was a meaningless game………Nigeria clinched the group going into the game. They had nothing to play for. It had the feel of a exhibition game for them. they would have had a much different mind set going into if they had to actually play for something.
That is not a knock on Cro and beating them, but look at the facts…..they clinched the group and had nothing to pay for. There was a reason the betting line dropped so much after they clinched the group.
To quote MacGruber;
“Classic Cunth!”
Very well said Maminjo!
I’ve watched all of our games and then some in this tourney, and I was fully aware the Nigerians were out to beat us.
Classic Ziva, diminshing our achievements..
It wasn’t a meaningless game.
You already lied once by saying Nigeria rested their starters, when they didn’t. You haven’t watched or followed this tournament at all, so your comments are worth jack shit.
The Nigerians were talking a lot of smack and were bitter at the Croats for eliminating them from a previous tournament. It was personal for them, and they STILL lost to us.
Good for these Croat kids. They beat arguably the best team in the tournament, and narrowly lost to the other. They were excellent no matter how hard you try and subtly dismiss their achievement.
Third-party ownership is a tricky situation and one where it will be tough to weed out. The Tevez sale to England was all sorts of crazy.
Back to the U17s……….good run by the them. I guess they can hold their head up high if Mali wins it and can claim they went out to the champs. I don’t put much stock in our play against Nigeria because it was a meaningless game for Nigeria as they had clinched the group and had nothing to play for.
woops…sorry…try this link:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2497227-ac-milans-new-partnership-with-doyen-sports-raises-questions
I know those that are Hajduk fans and pro-boycott are loving this, I’m a bit disappointed this has played out this way and that now its gone on and there’s mention of the fans in the seats (what the fuck changed in the last few years…why all of a sudden now is Coric mentioning these things?), the comment he put out on social media…and then there’s a connection with Coric and Doyem Sports…
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2…ises-questions
so, have they now played a role in this public war?
I’m on the kids side but I really hope he isn’t getting influenced the wrong way. if its true that he didn’t sign the personal services contract I’m happy he stood up to Mamic and is concerned for his own future….we will soon see what the buzz is all about and everyone can believe what they want to…I surely want to know more about this:
Doyen Sports is not the most transparent company in the world. Technically, it is a Malta-based subsidiary of the hedge fund Doyen Group, but in the football world, it is one of the most active players in third-party ownership (TPO), which FIFA intends to ban worldwide despite complaints from Doyen, according to Bloomberg.
The investors backing the company remain anonymous; their motivations even more so. Colin McGowan of Vice Sports referred to the group as a “shady conglomerate that has no focus other than return on investment.”
And then there are the legal battles: It is currently embroiled in court proceedings against Sporting Lisbon over the transfer of their client Marcos Rojo to Manchester United. According to Bloomberg, the allegations revolve around the man currently advising Galliani, Mr. Nelio Lucas, who reportedly “pressured” Sporting president Bruno de Carvalho to sell the defender.
read as much as you can about the rumours so we can try to make better educated comments.
@Slavonac
Ćorić is already a Mamić player. Don’t listen to the bullshit comments on this site. Ćorić is pissed about playing time.
He probably thought he would feature more in Champions League play, which would have given him great exposure to top clubs. He probably doesn’t want to be in the HNL anymore, but Dinamo probably want to hold onto him for another season and sell him for more than his current market value.
He has a valid contract with Dinamo, but not the personal service contract that Mamic has forced others to sign.
vatrena cast…didn’t he already sign with him until 2020?
@ziva
I hope Coric actually goes through with it and doesn’t sign with mamic eventually
Slavonac,bang on about Mandzukic!!!
Bobby V…Mandzukic’s scoring challenges started last year…not this year. your comment isn’t really on par with how Mandzukic had been playing previous to him joining Juve. If he arrived in the form he started his season at Atletico and how he left Bayern, this would be a far different story.
@ Maminjo
You can do some type of DNA testing that gives age on planet estimates? Or something like that.
All good as our boys were able to play against the two top “u17” teams in the world.
@ Bobby V
Is Kalinic joining Olic and Prso in having late career striker success?
Be great to have Kalinic and is new found form riding into France.
Mandžukić will still be a weapon for us but not someone we need to revolve the attack around.
…also told you about Mandzukic. Tap-in goals are not as available in Italy – you need to be able to create goals on your own – more so in Serie A.
Like I commented way back, they youth refusing to do business with Mamic is the only way to bring him down.
Croatia joining the EU has to help in giving better opportunity to seek moves abroad – more so for the families of these players.
Easier said than done, but, it is more effective than anything the BBB or anyone else can possibly do.
Robert Muric was one of the first to go down this road. Hopefully, Ante Coric won’t be the last.
Well I would hope so. They were the only a few years younger than Croatia’s coach Dario Basic.
😉
I can only imagine what a distraction it becomes for these African players once they start earning good money considering where most of them come from.
I tiny part of me was actually proud of that Malian team when they beat us because it’s not like we were robbed. They were just the better team.
Mali was a semifinalist in the recent U20 World Cup, and they’re in the finals in this one.
Also, if Nigeria wins, this will be their fifth U17 title. Impressive!
Funny thing is, I bet Mali never qualify for a senior level World Cup, and Nigeria never comes close to winning one.
They really need to verify these birth certificates.
@ Poglavnik
You mean the U20 final, oh wait …
All good.
Moro was hobbled before Mali and couldn’t give us what we needed in the middle.
I am really looking forward to this u21 Spain match on the 17th with all our studs.
A generation for ever !
The U-17 finals will be Mali v Nigeria.
Just a reminder, we played well with the best at this age level.
Proud of our boys!
The production chain rolls on!
So, for those of you not paying attention………….The following is a public service announcement.
Coric refuses to sign a personal services contract with Mamic….
Mamic tells his brother to cut Coric’s playing time….
Coric decides to tell the Zagreb media that he wants out of Dinamo
The shit show continues.
@Anonymous, a new U shaped house with a pool etc. I’ve got an architect that’s been in the business for 40 years and an attorney so hopefully things work out without too much bullshit.
@Mishko
What are you going to build?
Good luck with paperwork.
In other news I just purchased this land in Pila this week. Construction starts after the first of the year.

.
I can see that Russia friendly being a 0-0 snooze fest with 4 shots on goal in total.
If that is true, I have no issues with that.
Barca pays his salary, not Cro. No need for him to even be called up for a friendly. More players should fake injuries to avoid meaningless friendlies.
Nobody is going to lose any sleep if we send a shit squad to Russia and lose 5-0 and nobody is going to be celebrating a pending Euro title if we go there and win 5-0.
Bullshit injury – comes on the heels of the Barcelona president complaining that Rakitic had to travel to Russia and Modric did not, four days before Barcelona plays Real Madrid.
Rakitic will be back “sooner than expected” and play against Real Madrid.
