Full Highlights _ Juventus 1-2 Barcelona 06.06…
Last year it was Luka Modrić with Real Madrid. In 2013, Mario Mandžukić scored in Bayern Munich’s Champions League trophy run.
But on Saturday, Ivan Rakitić will have his chance at European glory with Barcelona after leading Sevilla to the Europa League crown last year. He is expected to start for Barca against Italian champions Juventus in Berlin, Germany in the 2:45PM Eastern start.
Both clubs have already won their domestic league and cup titles, so winning the Champions League will give the winner the extremely rare European treble.
(More to come on the Champions League Final throughout the weekend)
Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović congratulates Ivan Rakitić following his performance at the recent Champions League Final

How about living in Oklahoma and reading and writing all these posts? Loll
@majstore
I’m like Oklahoma, you do you though lol.
Where do you live?
Shout out to the guy in the Croatian jersey behind the Warriors bench!
Cedo love????? I live the “za dom….spremni” lifestyle. Nah, I just happen to bet on anything and everything.
Re: Ziva Istina
HaHa you cedo. You lost money on your halfcast cedo. Serves you right for espousing your cedo love on this forum.
What’s worse?
Living in Oklahoma and writing or reading all of those posts.
Both…..all of you are “jadni”
What’s worse? Writing a thousand posts or reading a thousand posts from the same person?
Majstore,
what does tz stand for?
No what’s jadno is the thousands of posts you have accumulated talking jibberish on here and other websites tz.
I bet on futures, so big deal. I’ve bet on Djikovic to win every Masters and Grand Slam event this year, so I’m doing very well this year.
But, let me get this straight, you used the Lord’s day to think of me when watching tennis today. Comical, yes, but kind of “jadno” also, no????? Well, either way, good for you.
Diaspora be like: rakitic didn’t wear a flag during celebrations, he must be a jugoslav
Happy dumbass ziva istina lost another bet. Even happier djokovic lost lol
Hvala lipa Ivan.
Been waiting for this match for years.
ALL the young studs running for a spot!

Today’s game will be streamed live on Youtube:

Any news on whether or not today’s game against Gibraltar will be televised? I am currently on vacation in Europe and was hoping to catch the game on TV. If not then online links would be appreciated.
@ Faux and Cro
Modric can play that LM no problem.
Eventually Haliliovc will be out in front of Raketa on the RW, grooving their Barca flow for the Vatreni.
We just need to have wingers willing to run and stretch the defense.
Man we have a player who pulls the strings for the best team on the planet AGAIN!
Coming attractions :
Rakitic can eventually evolve into that Franz Beckenbauer role as the Kaiser CDM. At that point few teams will be able to play straight up with us.
Just need two athletic CB’s to cover when he makes his world class runs forward.
Then you have Kovacic on the RM.
Plus Rakitic is due to bring back his bombs from outside the box.
Also curious to see Perišić up top as central forward.
We need to capitalize the next 3 years and go deep in the next two major tournaments.

@ Faux Cro
If I was a betting man I’d bet on who can win me the most money fuck their nationality. Their nationality won’t win me any money.
@ Faux Cro
If we decided to replicate Barca’s system of 4-3-3 at Repka, something like Rakitic (RM), Brozovic (CM), Modric (LM) in midfield. And Kramaric (RW), Mandzu (CF), and Perisic (LW) in attack would be feasible.
^Modric and Rakitic
@Soul Champ:
Modric both play the same positions at their clubs.
middle right in a 4-3-3
How would you arrange a Croatian midfield trio?
@ Soul
That’s the ex-factor right there.
We know that Kovac is far from being a tactical genius, so we can only hope that he at least chooses the best eleven when the time comes for the Euros.
If somehow Pranjic and Olic get injured and forces him to replace them with a further improved younger player in the starting eleven, we may have a very good shot at doing something great.
I just hope the replacement isn’t Sharbini, lol. Kovac seems to have a hard-on for him in the friendlies lately.
@ Maminjo
We got 2 or 3 more gears once we sort out who from the stable of young studs is ready to rock in France.
Full faith in Kovačić to be ready in a year.
Uvijek vjerni .
@Soul Champ
Jebiga. We don’t want to spend on a coach. So that ends that.
We just have to hope Niko can keep the players motivated and playing hard, we get no injuries, and hope that no team figures us out, because there is no extra gear when the Euros come around. This is us at our peak.
@ Svima
If Modric is our Iniesta and Rakitic thrives with Iniesta then why can’t we get this figured out?
4-3-3
Throw in a cdm in the midfield and allow Luka and Ivan to create the magic.
@ Croatia v Antwerp
Exactly !
Is Rakitic the natural successor to the captain’s arm band?
Modric is a unique genius but does not possess the alpha dog quality of Raketa.
Ivan Rakitic truly is apart of something special. As Barcelona possess the GREATEST attacking front-line the game as ever seen. Raketa provides the industry and passing to make this side tick.
@ Soul Champ
When the Italian players see Rakitic step on to the pitch in Split next week, they’ll be having nightmares of what happened in Berlin tonite! They’ll be like “Uh-oh, not him again!”
Nice showing for Rakitic-
Good passes and a deliberate finish for a goal-
Need his passes next summer-
Let win by a large margin tomorrow in front of those Amazing Croats from Podravina!
Three in a row For Hrvati! This is a spectacular day in Croatian Sports!
Once .. Twice … Three times a Hrvat!!!
Basically if you want to win the UEFA champions league better have a Nogomentas in the starting 11.
Rakitic transformed Barca to becoming once again an offensive juggernaut.
Now he will play even more next year.
Italians will be tired and depressed in Split. No fans to energize them. Play all the studs and come away with a 3-1 victory solidifying first place and blood all the young talent for 2016.
Im way too proud a Hrvat to ever grasp for someone who drapes himself in Serb shit to be considered Croatian.
Time to get over that one.
It’s insulting to Hrvati everywhere.
Rakitic becomes the second Hrvat to score a goal in a CL final.
And 2 years ago Mandzukic opened the scoring, this time around Rakitic does the same!
Uff, Paul Pogba fucked up with that marking.
Let Rakitic walk right in there and score.
@Anonymous
No. Dijana Djokovic is ethnically Croatian. Her family is from Vinkovci.
Even Novak’s father, Srdjan, isn’t full Serb. I believe his family is from somewhere in Crna Gora or Kosovo (prompting a lot of people calling him part Albanian, but he’s not). His dad is half Serb, half Montenegrin.
So in reality, Djokovic is ethnically more Croatian than he is Serbian. Probably the reason why he constantly says it’s all the same thing, and wasn’t bothered when that announcer introduced him as a Croat at that one tournament.
RAKITIC!!!
Holy shit. Rakatic just scored…
I heard that hrt will not film the game in gibraltar instead devoting their air time and film grew to the women handball qualifaction match. i oringally thought this was april fool’s. apparently not… anyone have any word on if the gibraltar game will be watchable
obviously a dud of an opponent, but i’m curious to see some of the younger guys play
Re-Ziva,I just checked, the Serbs dont want him,nor do the Jugos.Seems we are stuck with him.
There is a character who does want him,he already sold his soul to that character long ago.
Young kids beware!
Regardless of background Bosko and Dado played well for Croatia…also I must say the name Bosko Balaban just sounds cool…it’s got a ring to it 🙂 and go easy on Ziva yes he pisses us all off every now and again but that’s what makes this site fun and it stimulates great debates and some great insults
In the same way Bosko Balaban and Miladin Prso are hrvati.
What makes him ” half Croat ” his mom was born in cro but she’s Serbian?
^ ^
Well said!
i don’t like attacking people but with him it’s called for every now and then.
@Poglavnik
he is worse than a serb, he is a jugo, he knows what to say and when, he plays both sides, just leave him alone and don’t read his garbage
bog i hrvati
This is why you’re probably half Serb!
All the Hrvati I know love betting on Serbs and against their own then go online to brag about it afterwards..
Stay classy Silky Johnson!
love you too, but that is why i am the ombudsmann.
Your boy is a doper too!
Him and his crooked traveling personal doctor.
Hope you lose your bet!
Relax………nobody does more to advocate for all things hrvatstvo than me. I know we have serbs on this site….and it must piss them off to hear he described as a “Half Hrvat”.
Truth be told. I enjoy watching him play. I enjoy personalities and he is one. Plus, from a selfish standpoint I put some money down on him winning all 4 Grand Slams this year. Worth the chance at hitting a big payday.
^ ^
You’ve really got a hard on for Djokovic don’t you?
To top it off you call him the “half Hrvat Djokovic” yet you have all kinds of insulting names for pure Croatian athletes.
I would never call him a half Hrvat.
He’s a Serb, get over it!
More dominat at their peak??????
Roger Feder or the half hrvat Djokovic.
It’s now or never for Rakitic! A victory tomorrow will make it 3 in a row for Hrvati. But Rakitic is gonna need some help from MSN, and that’s not Microsoft, but rather Messi, Suarez and Neymar!
I understand he plays a good role on Barca, but to me the bigger stroy this weekend involving a cro athlete is the retirement of Ivano Balic.
Dude was unreal in his prime.
I’m more curoius what the Italy coach does with the Juve players next week in Split. Win or lose, they will be coming off such an emotional roll with the CL final. Might be a good thing for us.
