Andrej Kramarić and Rijeka were unable to play the Cinderella role once again as they bow out of Europa League after a respectable 1-0 defeat to reigning champs Sevilla Thursday night. Rijeka’s only blemish came in the 20th minute when they let Denis Suarez slither through their defense for the game’s lone goal. Rijeka finished the game with four shots on goal and one corner.
But they should not hang their heads as they finished the European campaign with 2 wins and 1 draw; 1 point better than their counterparts Dinamo Zagreb.
The European drought continues for Croatian clubs, who cannot find themselves in either competition past the new year.
Ziva Istina reminds me of a Croatian version of Bob Backlund. I think he is Bob Backlund.

The more I see of Halilovic. the more he reminds me of a young Gheorghe Hagi – my favorite all-time player.
Surprised to see a ‘partial’ stadium ban.
What does this mean?
The section that BBB usually would sit at, is banned?
Assuming they decide to attend, this just means that they’ll just sit where the other fans sit now (which is worse).
…Or is this partial stadium ban an attempt to reduce the size of the crowd?
If so, I assume they weren’t paying attention to the low attendance figures at Maksimir. A partial stadium ban will have zero effect.
Maybe they want something to happen, and this is just a setup to have Cro kicked out of Euro 2016. 🙂
our fans are idiots, the minority that cause this shit
I can’t wait until the next home to see what our fans are going to do to cause trouble. Because, this is not over.
Two things should happen……..1, nobody should attend or 2., cause trouble if they attend. Whatever it takes to get rid of Puppet Suker and Mamic…..and of that means getting deducted points and missing out on the Euros, then all good with me.
80k fine and 8000 less seats for next home match against Norway (Italy got a 13k fine):

Bilic bounced back after that debacle in Mocow, they ran him out of that country. Even his own players were saying he was the worse coach they have ever seen.
Bokšić was great for Marseilles I’m that one season, but he was a mediocre scorer throughout his career (including the reprezentacija).
However, Bokšić was great because he did more than score goals. He was a rare technically-gifted power forward who was just a beast in that box. People see that strength and ability in Rebić, who could definitely be a similar (though not as great) if a player.
Kramarić is being compared to Šuker because he’s a complete forward who can do it all, and regularly looks to beat the offside trap to create clear cut chances for himself the same way Šuker did. The last player we had that plays like this was Kalinić, but Kalinić is crap at everything else. Nobody actually thinks of Kramarić as bring on par with Šuker, but I get the comparison in terms of style.
Despite Krama’s recent goal drought and Rebić being in limbo with his coach, they are both good talents that produce very well for the reprezentacija.
^ ^
Agreed.
Iv only seen him play a few times but I’ve seen a bunch of highlights.
Thought he looked really good against Azerbaijan but so did most of our team against a side that’s comparable to an HNL team.
Wasn’t impressed with his finishing yesterday and it’s been more than 1 game that he hasn’t looked good.
Hopefully class is permanent and form only temporary.
guys… lol
one EL game and all of a sudden Kramaric is done?! i mean does anyone actually watch games on this site? or does everyone talk out of their guzica?
kid is on pace to break Dudu’s goal record in the HNL and while the competition is lacking in the HNL, he’s already carved out a spot for himself on the NT playing on the traditional 3rd best team in Croatia….
he’s no Suker or Boksic, but the kid will have a solid career in Europe and provides a more well rounded skill set than Mandzo…
At nearly the same age as Kramaric and Rebic, Boksic was the leading goal scorer for the European champions and Suker was leading the front line with a little guy named Maradona at Sevilla.
No need to worry though cuz the production line of talent never stops!
Poll time;
Who is better: Ivanisevic as a father and husband or Puppet Suker as savez president?
Who is more liked: Josipovic by diaspora hrvati or STD Corluka after the girl he was with finds out she picked up an STD from him?
Who actually compared Kramaric to Puppet Suker. I don’t recall hearing or seeing that.
With Rijeka’s elimination it is time to put to bed the entire HNL. No reason to watch the next five plus months.
Branimir Hrgota with a nasty goal in Europa League yesterday….shame that another one got away ….(plays for sweden now)
@Stef T.O.
I’ve been pumping the breaks on the Rebic and Kramaric bandwagon’s for a while now.
Boksic and Suker they are not!
Halilovic on the other hand…
He’s more likely to be an all-time great for us than the other two.
Yeah, don’t get the Suker comparison either for one thing Kramaric has yet to start or play a complete match for his own country.
He’s so crap he can’t even score against Azerbaijan! Oh wait! that was Mandzukic wasn’t it?
Kramaric is shit. He’s been on a lucky streak. Watched the game today and he was brutal. 2 clear cut chances to win the game and blew it. All hype and no bite. World class strikers do not miss that kind if chance he had at the end. Please STOP the Suker comparisons.
says 8 mill on that transfermarket site but surely he woudl be worth more then kramaric at this point??
that is his value in july, surely it has risen
what kind of money could perisic be sold for right now?
http://www.squawka.com/news/reports-chelsea-win-race-for-rijeka-striker-andrej-kramaric/243492
bilic for national team coach!!! i bet most would still welcome him back right now if they could
Heck, the way Perisic is playing not even Krptonite can stop him.
Croatia is now a lock to finish 17th in the Club rankings in Europe meaning it will have teams better positioned (joining in the later rounds) of both the Europa and Champions League.
Bešiktaš beats Spurs today and take first place in their Europa group. This, along with being first in the Turkish league right now… Bilić is having a very good coaching season.
Another assist for Perišić today.
Guy’s our best player right now.
KREPAT MA NE MOLAT!
