With the NBA playoffs only two weeks away and the Philadelphia 76ers already booking their spot; Croatian stud Dario Šarić is heating up just at the right time. Wednesday night, Šarić went for 26 points and 14 rebounds in a 118-101 win over the Knicks. Šarić is averaging 15 points with seven boards in his sophomore NBA season.
When asked about the playoffs Wednesday night, Šarić said, “I don’t want to play against Lebron…everybody else is welcome to come here.”
The road to the Finals in the Eastern Conference has gone through Lebron for nearly a decade. Is Šarić smart in saying he doesn’t want to face The King or underestimating him and this revamped Sixers side?
Really wanted the raptors to pick up Herzjona at the trade deadline, would’ve added good 3 point shooting on an already deep bench
Saric should also say we don’t want the Pacers, we don’t want Bogdanovic.
Bojan Bogdanovic scores 25 points against the Kings tonight. As it currently stands the Pacers are 5th and Philly is 4th. We might have a Bogdanovic vs. Saric 1st round match up.
i think they should all walk off the court to protect black violence
Raptors need to worry about the first round.
I’ve never seen two All-stars shrink like that in the 20 years I watch basketball. Every team’s stars play better, those two always play worse. I think their coach does a good job at motivating that team to play to their maximum during the regular season, but they don’t have that extra gear come playoff time. They might make Eastern Conference finals, but they have zero chance of actually beating LeBron and going to the finals. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Saric and the Sixers knock them out if they meet in the 2nd round.
^ and another loss to the Cavs
Raptors to the east finals!
Sixers could realistically make the Conference Finals if they avoid the Cavs up until then point.
This is what every team in the Conference is thinking, and they’re all jockeying for position to avoid a first or second round matchup with LeBron.
Ok, I’ll bite, just so this column doesn’t get nary a comment.
I wouldn’t want Lebron either. Referees know their pay increases when the NBA’s profits increase. Lebron is the NBA’s #1 money maker. Refs give his whiny ass special treatment. Therefore, I would prefer to avoid the Lebron’s, and Ronaldo’s of the world.
