Vlatko Markovic or Igor Stimac? Who will head the HNS? We will find out during Friday’s election assembly which will be held in Zagreb’s Westin Hotel at 7am EST.
Croatian Soccer Report’s Zagreb reporter, Rozalija Kučko, conducted an informal poll in front of Maksmir before Dinamo’s match against PAOK on Wednesday.
Просто хорошая страничка
@Rozalia,
Well done! Without a doubt a top 10 CSR video.
@Ante B,
wipe your chin
@Anonymous(Muenchen)
welcome aboard. Great take on both the election and Robbie. For Robbie it was a no brainer.
1) Zvezda was the reason he played for Real Madrid and Barcelona
2) First team to offer Robbie job. Lets be honest, Zvezda are probably the biggest club of the balkans.
3) A decent amount of $$$
4) A way for Robbie to repay Zvezda
5) His mother is Serbian
Its a lot easier for Robbie to take the job over Stanic, Bilic, Boban, and some of the other greats.
I don't look at Robbie any different after the signing.
@King Bronk
Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavi seeeeeeeee
This would be a perfect day to hear a rant from our good buddy King Bronk.
With Markovic winning, keep saying hello to Zagreb and say good-bye to the rest of the country in terms of nogomet.
Nothing will change…ever.
In other news, pazite kralja
DAVOR! DAVOR!
SUKER! SUKER!

this was great…..
Markovic won by one vote, but it wont end here.
If anyone has been following this, you will know their is a dispute over one of the voters from the Dubrovnik region. It appears he was selected illegally and his vote made the difference.
Exepect more idiocy to continue, expect the domestic league to continue to be crap.
I love this…..the country is run by criminals and idiots.
If the media are to be believed, a fight broke out during the selection process, grown men fighting, oh well
My cousin recommended this blog and she was totally right keep up the fantastic work!
Markovic v.s. Stimac as somebody already said obviously Markovic is preferred in Zagreb as Stimac would be in Split. I don't know what to tell you I would pick neither, and honestly I believe we need someone like Mamic up there. I personally think he would do a better job than the other two.
As far as Robi goes, I know I belong to the minority on this site because I think he has every right to go there. He made his career there the club gave him the opportunity to one day play for both Barcelona and Real Madrid. Za mene je Robi legenda i neka mu je sa srecom…mozda ce jedan trenirati puno veci klub.
Pozdrav iz Muenchena
I want to see Stimac win, even though I don't agree with all of his programs (he still wants to keep Liga 16 and install a salary cap, come on…)
Markovic is too old and he has done very little to support the HNL and as ziva istina said, we claim to be a top 10 nation yet we have to train in Slovenia. Even Montenegro have a football training facility
@Rozalija,
Nema problema! Da ih saljem Vama putem emaila ili…?
Svaka cast na trudu. Svima je jasno da nam Zagrepcanka fali na ovom siteu. Sto vise Purgera i Zagrepcana, to bolje.
A ovo kaj si maloprije rekla u vezi Zvezde i Zutog…hmmm, o tome cemo kasnije.
Svako ima pravo na svoje misljenje makar sam svjestan da postoji ogromna razlika izmedu domovine i dijaspore.
I naprijed Plavi!
@Ante BBB
OF COURSE I WENT THERE. My job is to keep you on your toes. =)
Keep the interviews coming.
@Živa Istina I agree with everything you say…
Pozdrav iz Zagreba:))
@ The Golden Child, Thank for the compliment. This video is proof of the divide in thinkig between the diaspora and Croatians in Croatia. Personally of course I am not suporting Crvena Zvezda at all but still I am happy to see people moving on from war and the past. We must move on. I would be happy to see him coach anywhere else, but see this as a proffesional decision. He must start someplace and 575,000 euros is a nice place to start. I do not think he will be there long.
Pozdav od Mrs. CSR :))
@ Ante B – I will definitly walk down to Udruga. Prepare the questions! It will be next week.
@ JP: Thank you, I like the moniker too!
I guess for all the hardliners that blog on this site must think the majority of those people interviewed were all jugoslovenci by wishing Robert P. the best of luck and by actually being rationale.
well, I would expect Markovic to have more of the votes from the ZG public, just like we would expect Stimac to have more of the votes from the public in Split.
Great job Rozalija!
You got some answers, which is very cool. Interesting spectrum of opinion, about what you would expect… If we go upon the opinion on the street, it looks like domacog in a landslide.
I like the Ms. CSR moniker! 🙂
I knew you were going to go there. There were some guys who said, "no." There were also some placenici who adore Mamic, so what? Maybe if Mrs. R walked down to the Udruga and asked the R(I)P question, she'd get a completely different set of answers. Great job either way.
Round of applause for MRS. CSR. Talk about a rough crowd. She got her questions out, and she got answers.
Seems like most of the sentiment for R.P. was "good luck. Surprising, after seeing the earlier comments in the Robert P. article.
In regards to the Markovic v Stimac. Maybe, in a few years when CSR gets huge, the community can make a difference in soccer out there.
Well, that video proves there are plenty of idiots in Cro.
As for the Stimac v Markovic debate………I think both are crooks, but I hope Stimac gets the vote. He actually presented some good ideas and plans for the savez while Markovic presented nothing and came up with a bunch of lies, flat out lies.
The HNL is shit, the league is over after 6 rounds each year, the stadiums are unsafe for fans and players and our national team trains in a neighboring country. Where is the national team camp that was promised years ago. It is nowhere to be seen except for the lie about the financing already being secured and that is not even close to being true.
Mamic has basically paid off half of the committie to cast their votes for Markovic. Stimac on the other hand has Reno Sinovcic by his side and that also spells disaster.
It's always tought to break up the status quo and it looks like Stimac might not have the votes tomorrow.
So, get ready for more of the same within the league, the quality of play and the facilities.
