The current penalty situation really bothers me. Every match it seems the penalties given/not given are just completely arbitrary now. It’s really gotten ridiculous and what i dont like about it is i am 95% sure it will be exploited to benefit the big teams in the wc. They can justify it by saying yeah well “those ones have been given recently” or whatever when it’s obviously bs. None of the refs seem to really know what is and isnt a penalty these days.
Well they separated England, Spain, France and Argentina so they don’t meet until the semis at the earliest (so long as they finish first in their respective groups).
FIFA isn’t going to let that go to waste by letting us beat England in a close match (they’ll just throw at PK against us like what we saw a week ago against Brazil).
We will have to completely outplay England in that first game if we want first place in the group.

Great to see Stanisic contributing and competing at that level and getting the recognition. The guy has worked hard, fought through injuries, and earned his starting role at Bayern.
If Gvardiol can get healthy, and Vuskovic can keep going as he has, the core defence looks world class for World Cup.
I think Croatia to date is the only team who made it into the final 16. It will be a feat for Herceg Croats make it into the final 32.

Speaking of low possibilities, Bosnia, I noticed is on the other side of the WC bracket so a Bosnian/Croatian final, would be a the most super dark horse final ever. Never say never. Group B (Canada, Switzerland, Qatar) looks very survivable for Bosnia, to the final 32 round trip.
I think i can comfortably, definitively, absolutely say never on that one. There’s more chance of me playing for the Vatreni than there is of a Croatia v Bosnia final in the WC. That being said my old man said the same thing as you lmao.
