In his first MLS start Sunday night for new club, LAFC, 20-year old Stipe Biuk scored his first goal in the 96th minute of a 4-0 victory over the New England Revolution. It was an insurance goal at the end of the match that nearly did not cross the line, however, it all counts the same. The former Hajduk Split winger now has one goal to his name in two MLS matches — as he came off the bench in the 2nd half in his debut. LAFC now have six points through two matches to start their campaign.
Biuk played all 90 minutes in the match and received a 8.4 rating from FOTMOB.
A better assist than goal, but it took the wherewithal and patience, to not create an offside call by stipe.
Why is this kid getting so much ink?
We have far better prospects who we rarely talk about.
His move to the states in all probability will not be the wisest for his long term success…you want to be the best you don’t head west!
A goal is a goal and if anyone ever played soccer then they know scoring the 1st goal is such a relief in a new setting. One goal gives any player confidence to do more. Good for him.
Stipe Buik to Bayern .. in two years ..

He’ll have to complete with Gabriel Vidovic for that spot 😉
Biuk to Bayern ? you have to be kidding. My bet is that after he fails in MLS he’ll go back to Hajduk. Never rated the guy after watching him play for Hajduk and Cro youth teams. Overrated big time.
Just relax, there’s no guarantee if he fails or succeeds at the MLS so we need to be patient. With regards Hajduk, it’s hard for a youth player to do well because the fans and the club throw all of them under the bus.
Remember that strike that sent home England u21 by Bradaric?
The kid has loads of talent and is fast!
Ya that was a beauty against England
Bradaric went quiet but good to see there may be life
Love to have another option to sosa back there
We all know Barišić is just a temporary solution for back up

Don’t look now, but Domagoj Bradaric is gaining steam. He’s become a regular starter for Salernitana and is helping them avoid relegation. At 23, he’s still got loads of potential.
Good stuff… my word, loving our depth in defense right now
Buik needs to be supported.
His explosive speed is an asset.
Don’t count the nogometaš till 29!!

Kovačić = Kapetan
Can’t count him out since he’s barely 20 years old and Croats are notorious for making big strides in their careers after the age of 24-25 (we’re seeing a perfect example now with Juranovic).
I’m banking on him getting out of MLS before that four year contract ends. Hoping that he impresses enough for some Euro club to just buy him from LAFC, and he can continue to develop against more serious talent.
Very poor finish.
The 1:10 mark of the video really shows how bad of an attempt this was, kicking it right into the keeper with all that space to finish.
He’s lucky the keeper jumped into his own goal with the ball. Stipe really should have buried that without question.
It’s still early for him in his MLS career, so we’ll see how it goes. But hopefully he gets himself back into a European club within two years.
Agreed, I didn’t like the finish either that was a clear cut goal that should have been finished with ease in the top right corner. Atleast it is for someone of that caliber I believe.
A goal is a goal. I think time will tell how good this move was for him, he really needs to have a big goal contribution in the league based on which league he is in.
But good for him, hopefully this trend for him continues and we can see him move to a league like Serie A or Bundesliga potentially. I am not a big fan of this move for him but I guess we will see. I could be wrong and the move could turn out to be a good one for him.
Nice
Well good for him
Still gonna be hard to break into repka from state side. He’s gonna have to be banging a goal a game
Americans gonna think Croats are only named stipe or luka
And who is this Petrovic keeper he scored on??
Some serbian keeper which makes the goal even sweeter.
The Serbian goalkeeper who Biuk scored on started vs the US in the exhibition game back in January. The one where neither team had any European based players.
I don’t know what the NE Revolution see in him.
LOL – he might be Serbian, but as the resident NE Revolution fan in the house, I can tell you he is without doubt the best GK in MLS (stats back it up) and definitely no scrub. Without him, that game finishes 7-0 for LAFC.
