27 year-old Croatian defender Ivan Strinić has completed his free transfer from Dnipro to Italian club Napoli. Strinić’s contract in Ukraine expired the last day of 2014 and he was set to make a move to whichever club would sign him. Strinić is a homegrown Split player and played for Hajduk from 2008-2011, before being sold to Dnipro. He scored four goals in 85 appearances for Dnipro in that span.
Now, arguably Croatia’s #1 option at left-back, will take his services to Italy, where new club Napoli currently sit in fourth place 12 points behind leaders Juventus. Napoli is looking to finish top 3 in Italy to book a Champions League berth for next season.
If Strinić gets the playing time he deserves in Italy, this is a phenomenal move late in his career. Expect him in the lineup Tuesday versus Cesena.

Manziel is like the white Charlie Ward or Tommy Frazier.
Being an Eagles fan I’ve got nothing but love for my fellow Super Bowl-less Browns.
Hope they get it right soon.
Manziel hasn’t played many games yet he has scored a running touchdown and he had a very bad game against Cincinnati give him a full season then talk. RG3 is the crni Ryan Leaf.

Big difference is Halilovic has the body and tools to do it. Johnny Manziel is a midget who was/is never going to be a star or even a starter at the professional level.
Happens to tons of NCAA superstars.
You watch too much ESPN, Skipice!
Alen Halilovic is the Croatian version of Johnny Football Manziel hype wise on the field not off the field, even though he does take pictures with celebrities as well.Strinic is a younger version of Pranjic. Pranjic was one of our better players at Euro 2008 and Strinic was one of our better players at Euro 2012. I am a Croatian Sports Journalist from along with Stjepan A Smitic.
Kramakova.
Sounds like a Russian tennis player.
Kramaric is on the brink of a move to Leicester. Anyone tell this kid ya don’t join a sinking ship? I woulda loved to see him move to Inter. Kovakram combo all the way.
Yep. Maybe with Sinovcic fighting with criminal allegations Strucnjak Stimac thinks he can move in on his turf.
One of the most under reported items in cro sports was the money laundering from the Pletikosa and Srna moves to Shakthar. Just another example of how jadan i mali hajduk’s very own former players have abused the club to make their own profit.
….or maybe sell some of his award winning olive oil in the concession stands.
All Stimac is doing is trying to see what opportunities exist in NK Zadar to exploit young talent and make some Shakhtar-type cash deals that remain off the books.
Big Zadar fan here. Igor Stimac is the Croatian Jose Mourinho and will save us from relegation. Haven’t seen an increase in season ticket packages yet, but, I’m sure it will happen.
Bjezigrad’s coach, huh??????
So, in the span of 15 or so months, Strucnjak Stimac has gone from coaching the repka to maybe being the coach of the least desirable job in the HNL.
So, I’m hearing that this is true:
http://www.zadarskilist.hr/clanci/05012015/ekskluzivno-igor-stimac-novi-trener-nk-zadra
Igor Stimac has become the new head coach of Zadar haha. Any Zadar fans out there?
Za Dom Spremni!!!!!!
Mi sve gazimo samo naprijed Hrvatska Death to komunism i idemo Nationalism i sve ce biti Bolje AJMO AJMO NASI U NAPAD GAZI BANDU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RIP Stuart Scott
Rapaic has a financial stake in his transfer. I’d be pumping him up as well to collect my fee.

Radosevic looks set to move to Bari.
Nice move for Strinic. He joins compatriot Radosevic at the club. Now the question is, will he start?
I’d hate to see Strinic suffer the same fate as Radosevic. If he ends up on the bench. We might have to get used to Pranjic as our left back, lol.
In other transfer news, the Kramaric move has yet to materialize. No agreement has been reached.
Hajduk prospect Tino Susic is rumored to move to Inter. Miki Rapaic has hailed him as the new Zizou. Now that’s an overstatement.
@Thor – was just about to post that article.
Usually it’s more about who is the prime minister rather than who is president…..but, now, maybe not in this case.
Here is an update on this piece of shit. How the fuck do you get Snedden out of Vasiljkovic?

Funny!
My old man lived there and in Bari for a few years and he’d definitely agree.
Ahhhh, the age old preference of Strinic or Pranjic… Reminds me of the Joe Montana or Steve Young days.
LOL……
good move for Strinic. Although to be fair, living in Napoli is not much better than leaving the Ukraine, even in a quasi war zone.
Napoli’s got nothing on Panathinaikos!
Samo naprijed Pranja!
34 year-old Left Backs (for Euro 2016) don’t grow on trees. We need that experience and inability to get back on D.
Great move.
1- out of war zone
2- opportunity to get back the staring LB job for the repka.
Strinic is solid and with our new look crew can flourish.
Need a natural left footed player to create that over lapping width.
I am rooting for him big time.
Put Napoli on the Croatian player support list.
Hvala Bogu for BEIN Sport.
Susic to Inter too?
