After watching the replay of the ‘Eduardo dive’ vs. Celtic last week, I absolutely thought there were no ifs, ands or buts about simulation. However, there is now a video circulating on Youtube showing that Eduardo could have very well been scraped on the right heel by Celtic goalie Artur Boruc.
Arsenal are set to appeal the ban from UEFA. There was never ‘indisputable evidence’ from the two camera angles whether there was contact or not. Therefore, UEFA should have acknowledged the referee’s decision. This is going to be pretty funny if UEFA rescinds the ban. The entire British Isle will be rolling!
THANK YOU KEZME FOR PUTTING TOGETHER THIS VIDEO

"that video does not show me much. He might have been clipped, he might not have been clipped. All the other angles show Da Silav diving, this angle does not clear him of diving, but it does bring i the possibility he was touched. Although, I dont think he was."
He flopped just like many have done in the past. Eduardo is the first to be suspended.
Hopefully, this will be a start to something good. I don't want to see flopping. The only problem is that its so difficult for the referee to tell if it was a flop.
The only way to stop it is review after the game and hand out suspensions.
ROONEY DOVE!!! AND WON THE PENALTY!!!

Do any of you guys have a good site where I could check out Brasil at Argentina? preferably something free. Thanks.
chea why u guys buggin out its not like he will save u against the mighty hands of dzeko and co of bosna
Why are you guys arguing whether it is a dive or not, that is not the point. The point is that Eduardo is being treated unfairly, the penalty for a dive is a yellow card, not a two game suspension. The English media blew this up because he is Croatian and a big deal was made out of nothing.
Still no contact, complete flop.
I hear this kid American kid is quality. Rumors are he was recommended by some Croats here in the U.S. who have close ties to Dinamo. I've seen many U.S. youth national players and usually they are extremely talented. They usually have great skill, athleticism, and feel for the game. One problem is that many U.S. players hit their peak early and do not develop to their full potential. This may be due to playing against opponents who are inferior. For example, in the youth Croatian league a player from Hajduk is playing against Dinamo, Osijek, Varteks, Zagreb etc. All those teams are known for developing great young players. Another problem is most U.S. national players play college soccer from 18-23 years old. Those 5 years are some of the most important in a player's career. College soccer ruins players because its more about fitness and strength than actual skill and creativity. I played college soccer and the game is played 100 miles per hour. There are unlimited subs and its much different from FIFA rules where you can only make 3 subs. The college game never slows down and its unrealistic because coaches are subbing every 10 minutes when guys get tired. The NCAA should limit number of subs because it would raise the skill level. Also, in America there is not proven youth systems or soccer schools. There is a limited amount of qualified coaches. I guess now MLS teams are starting to have youth selections. This will be important for the future of American soccer. Once the U.S. figures out how to develop these talented athletes it will become a real force in world soccer. By the impressive run in the Conferations Cup the U.S. it shows that the American Federation is doing something right and I wish them the best of luck.
Last year Dinamo held soccer camps in Australia. They invited 7 youth players back to Dinamo to try out. 3 of them were Croats and I hear that of the 7 only 2 stayed in Zagreb. It seems like the Dinamo youth system is branching out and trying to get amazing youth players. Mamic is looking for another Da Silva. We'll see if he finds any other young superstars abroad:)
Re: Radman
Looks like Lokomotiva Zagreb will have themselves a new player. They might as well not bother with their own signings soon.
Do any of you American guys know anything about this 18 year old kid that Dinamo are apparently very close to signing.

They should be going to Australia and trying to unearth the next Simunic for the National team.
Kiper didn`t hit Dudu (((
ashamed…
Scots are right
From the angle that was originally shown on television it looked like a blatant dive. From this new angle it does look like he was clipped a bit. Maybe he over exaggerated a little but I think there may be enough contact for a pk. We have to understand we are watching the play in slow motion. When its at actual game speed it happens extremely fast and the referee must make a decision. We'll see what happens when Arsenal appeal.
I'm still 50-50 as to whether it was a dive now. But I'm going to treat this as if I'm Eduardo's lawyer.
Watch the first half of the video again. Boruc definitely did not hit Eduardo enough to make him fall like he did. However, if Boruc did in fact contact Eduardo on his right heel, it affected Eduardo's stride. Look at his left leg when he plants it right after the supposed contact. He meant to take a bigger step but couldn't because of the contact (if there was any). Running at full speed you would definitely fall like that with arms in the air. The first thing your body does is want to protect your face when you fall.
I will admit it looked like a classic flop though. He might have to take a semester at Italian Diving school in the winter.
BOO YA!!! clear evidence of contact! rescind that ban UEFA, rescind it!!!
that video does not show me much. He might have been clipped, he might not have been clipped. All the other angles show Da Silav diving, this angle does not clear him of diving, but it does bring i the possibility he was touched. Although, I dont think he was.
Either way, if UEFA wants to crack down on all divers, then I am for this.
That video is inconclusive too. Basically this was a daft incident for UEFA to pick out. Think should just accept it and move on. Arsenal can cope with Eduardo. Eduardo also still needs occasional rest so its no big deal. Everyone knows UEFA are corrupt so best to just let it be. Chelsea got banned from signing players for 2 transfer windows hehe. Seems like Platini's really got in for them. Its about time these sides were highlighted for theiving players without compensating, but two transfer windows lol. Bit harsh. UEFA really getting nasty this year.
Ima Boga!! I knew it why would Eduardo dive something had to go wrong so there was contact I knew that fat polish slob was full of s**t and so is UEFA I hope Arsenal appeal the decision because it's obvious in the video. He wouldn't dive too honest of a player I just feel bad he's had to keep his mouth shut about the incident while people hack away at him Thank God hopefully Arsenal sees this someone should forward it to them and UEFA quickly so they can appeal the stupidest ban in football history!
