Mateo Kovačić came off the bench for Man City Saturday in the 78th minute and scored an injury time insurance goal to seal a 2-0 victory over Everton. It was Kova’s 6th PL goal of the season and his second one scored while slipping and falling to the ground this month. City are finding some momentum late in the season as they fight for a top-4 finish and Champions League spot for next season. Kova most likely will not be with the team as City plan to have a veterans “fire sale” in the summer. Versus Everton, Goal.com gave Kova a 7/10 grade as he “Sewed up the points with his powerful late strike, his second goal in as many games.” Joško Gvardiol played the full 90 minutes at CB in the clean sheet victory. Goal.com gave him a disappointing 5/10 grade as he was “Beaten in air by Tarkowski when he hit the post. Saw a lot of the ball but never caused any danger and it appears he is not as useful in the middle of defence as at left-back.”
Ante Budimir scored a brace Sunday afternoon in Osasuna’s 3-2 victory over Real Valladolid. In 32 La Liga matches this season, Budimir now has 18G/3A. In the 1st half, Budimir would open the scoring with a patented header right in front of the keeper. Later in the 2nd half, he would convert a penalty for the game-winning goal. Budimir was voted MOTM. Only Lewandowski (25) and Mbappe (22) have more goals than Budgie this season.
Andrej Kramarić scored his 11th Bundesliga goal of the season Saturday in a 3-2 loss to Freiburg. That means Krama now has 11G/5A in 28 Bundesliga matches this season. Not bad at all.
Rijeka lose to Istra and fail to take a lead on the HNL table. With only 6 matches left in the season, Rijeka and Hajduk are both level on 56 points. Dinamo trail with 52 points. Still anyone’s league title!
Yo Modric
Maybe not too late to change your mind re: Swansea ?
Please see Mbappe’s Caen – he’s already “lost” 15+ m in one year (they just got relegated to French 3rd tier) and has been a complete disaster from the start

I find a bit disappointing/disrespectful how Manchester City wants to get rid of Mateo after only 2 seasons because all of a sudden he’s ‘’too old’’, especially because he’s kind of at his prime form right now
Pep has worked a lot to make him comfortable as a defensive midfielder + at making him score goals and now they want to let him go haha oh well, I think that’s exactly the type of decision that made Manchester City have the season they’ve just had. Can’t just all of once sell all your ‘’older’’ players haha
Not as useful in Centre Back?! What were City expecting with Gvardiol when they got him? Did they think they purchased a striker??
This why I do not route for English teams, they have not idea what each role is supposed to do.
Nice to see Majer come in for a quick run today
Kovacic scored for man city against Everton. He keeps scoring these goals where he slips and somehow manages to get it in. Gvardiol seems to enjoy playing with him.
Yeah not so sure he’s slipping tho. I watched it over and over and think he’s doing it on purpose to get more ooomph on it
Nikola Pokrivac, R.I.P…
Did you know him personally ?
If not why post it ?
It’s a silly bad habit in our society to say RIP for complete strangers
It cheapens and dilutes its actual meaning
Should be saved / used only for family, loved ones and close friends
Particular culprits are “celebrities” or the like posting feigning some fake sympathy for a complete stranger for clicks or attention
Sure dude. But do please continue posting your own attention seeking drivel.
First time I have ever heard such a moronic opinion on this matter. Please go away.
LMAO
You’re letting us know he’s dead – great – we already knew that
Why not celebrate his life, tells us how wonderful he was, all the great memories you have of him and how he touched you ?
Oh wait – you don’t know him – he’s a complete stranger to you
Moreover
R.I.P. is completely moronic and offensive – you are TOO LAZY to even write it out – so you go w/ an abbreviation
I’m sure you think “Merry Xmas” is okay too
🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦
Luka Vuskovic on playing for Spurs:
“I think it’s possible, even though there are already world-class players, like van de Ven & Romero. I want to take it step by step. Finish the season well at Westerlo, then earn my place at Tottenham… then we’ll see what the future holds.”
Strong mentality but very gutsy comments (in a good way) especially in context of being the day after Romero and Mickey VDV put out World Class CB performances (and their respective best performances of the season)

Looks like Gvardiol might indeed by CB next year at Man City as they want to buy Udogie for LB – would personally love to see Udogie and Gvardiol on the LHS – those two positions would be sorted for 10+ years

Anonymous also hopes Pero settles in as quickly at Inter as Bergvahl has done (crazy progression from first couple of months of season to today for a 18/19 yo)
