Ante Kramarić scored his 10th Bundesliga goal of the season Saturday in a 2-2 draw vs. Koln. He headed home a shit off the crossbar that just crossed the line by an inch before the Koln goalie swatted it out. Krama now has 10G/4A in 23 Bundesliga matches this season as Hoffenheim remain in 3rd spot for a Champions League berth next campaign. Absolute cinderella of a season after fighting off relegation in 2025.
Ante Budimir converted a 1st half penalty kick vs. Real Madrid after VAR review saw Courtois step on his foot in the box. It is Budimir’s 12th La Liga goal of the season as Osasuna defeated Real Madrid 2-1 in a shock result Saturday. With the win, Osasuna now sit only four points behind a European spot for next season.
Ivan Perišić scored in 1st half injury time to make it 1-1 between PSV and Heerenveen on Saturday as his cross into the box was missed by all parties, including the keeper before hitting the back of the net. It is his 4th Eredivisie goal of the season for 1st place PSV.
Duje Ćaleta-Car scored a 87′ minute goal in Real Sociedad’s 3-3 draw vs. Real Oviedo Saturday. It is DCC’s first ever La Liga goal for the defender. He headed home a falling ball in the box with the goalie out of position following a corner. Luka Sučić should return for Real Sociedad in March after picking up a muscle injury.
Martin Baturina was subbed off in the 60′ with an apparent ankle injury. Como defeated Juventus 2-0. Baturina turned his ankle in the first half and soldiered through the problem for a few minutes before asking out. The early indications are that it’s not too serious, but he’ll be assessed throughout the week ahead of Saturday’s home game against Lecce.
Josip Stanišić assisted on a Harry Kane goal in Bayern Munich’s 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
Igor Matanović scored an easy tap-in winner Sunday in Freiburg’s 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.
Luka Modrić received a 6/10 grade from SempreMilan in a shock 1-0 loss to Parma at San Siro. ” He did his duties tonight and a little more, even running into the box two or three times to open things up for Milan. The defensive work was also very good, but overall it was nothing spectacular from him.”

Franjo 14 min cameo at the Bernabeu (nice that he got to come on and experience it)
Nothing particularly notable – not sure what Benfica’s tactics were to get the two goals back – Franjo drew a couple fouls/free kick – he was good at pressing the Madrid back-line and keeper (good – but not great – he could have been a tad more intense in his approach) – the good news is it seems his first touch (when receiving a pass) is MUCH tighter (before it was sloppy) so I guess he’s worked on it – he as playing LW (more or less) – he didn’t really create much nor carry the ball any meaningful distance (at one point he received the ball and drove to the by-line 1 v 1 vs. Trent and blinded tried to cross it but Trent was right there and picked it up)
At least he got on the field – I must say Pavlidis was completely anonymous while Franjo was on – just strolling around – not sure he even had one touch in those 14 minutes nor was he trying to make any real run into open space to push the CBs back
Mario Pasalic had an excellent match for Atalanta in their 4 – 1 win and elimination of Borussia Dortmund.
He scored with a header to make it 3 – 0 and then deep in stoppage time he crossed the ball into the penalty area which resulted in a spot kick for Atalanta from which they scored their fourth goal.
What a turnaround in form a few weeks back he was stuck to the bench.
Hopefully the nose-pickers realize Mario played the DEEPEST of all 4 midfielders, based on the heat-maps (you know they will want to shoe-horn on the field as a #10)
Ok so we all agree we like Jaga and we would like to see him get called in march.
I would be ok if he didn’t get called in June if he struggled in March friendlie, but I think he should get a run in March and if he’s average ok but if he lights it up well then maybe we got something. This is my two cents into why he probably isn’t in Dalic mind for WC.
1- So we know the 6/8 position in Midfield are gonna be Modrić Kova P.Sucic. The backups are Moro and Jakic . We also have Mario pasalic who can do 6/8/10.
2- We know that Perisic and kramaric are guaranteed seniors to be called and most likely both start. Maybe that’s the left and right sided players not my favourite but it is what it is.
3- Okay so now let’s get into his competition. Vlasic we know is a good sub proven player who Dalic trusts who can come in late and game and help score a goal. Baturina we like and we want to start.
So that leaves Orsic, L. Sucic and Marco pasalic.
Marco Pasalic has been in squad for two plus years and is a player who provides speed and again a good sub and who should get more minutes very specific skill set we lack.
True right winger.
Orsic again a good winger who’s mostly left sided, he’s proven has experience and still has some juice played not bad in champions league this season, Dalic likes experience.
So that leaves L. Sucic, agan Dalic like familiarity he’s been around for a while played in last Euros played in League of Nations. Has a year of La liga under his belt, where if you graded his season would give solid B minus. La liga is to me after EPL most difficult league for young players very technical.
Everyone is all about Baturina but he only turned his season around one month prior to L.Sucic.
Before his last minor injury sucic was turning season around. I think he will finish season strong and play his way in to WC squad.
Also Sucic provides something to me which a lot of the other offensive players don’t he’s comfortable on the ball deep in his half. He like a quasi 8/10 which is a good sub for the holy trinity trio mentioned above.
Playing for slaven is one thing playing for Dinamo Z is another playing for a Greek team is another playing in Spain again another. Baturina numbers at Dinamo was down which was disappointing but he had good performances in Europe champions league which dalic could look to as a reference. When you play at Dinamo you get everyone best every game has a bit of juice. Who cares when slaven belupo is in town it’s a snooze fest.
Jaga easiest route to get a place was to be in Dinamo where media would have pushed it now unless he puts on monster performances in Greece no one will push it.
Dinamo screwed up a few years ago not bringing him back and Jaga also gambled not going to Dinamo it was his decision in the fall not to go. Everyone at the time said it was brilliant but now how it played out he would have won a starting spot playing for Dinamo in Europe best player in HNL and def on a plane to USA. now not so much.
We don’t know what Boban and Kovačević would do with Jaga.
They offered a measley 1.2 million for him, and I wouldn’t be surprised is they gave him the Luka Stojković treatment starting guys like Miha Zajc ahead of him.
Agree we don’t know but between the player and coach connection Jaga would eventually win out I would have to think.
Jaga said he stayed at slaven in September to make sure he plays. He needed more minutes and continue his progress which is true and I agree.
But those same reason are still true 4 months later? So which is it, his decision to stay at slaven was sound and career oriented his decision to leave to Greece doesn’t feel the same to me feels rushed and if it was also centred to make a pitch to go to WC then your decision in September doesn’t make sense.
I think Jaga will be fine it’s still really early in terms of transfer, if I’m bettering he wins a starting position sooner than later, but going to Greece is risky it’s one thing not to play in Italy or Spain at 20 at least your getting good training sessions top coaching and some cup games and the odd start, it’s another to not play in Greece.
Jakic will be the the starting right back. He was the best player during qualifying. If Gvardi recover in time he slots in at CB with either Sutalo or Vusko.
If DCC get the start we are done. He is slow as molasses and look like he crawled out of a Chetnik cave with that awful looking beard.
The back line is set. Jakic – Sutalo – Vusko – Stani
I do worry about Dalic starting DCC at CB if Gvardiol isn’t ready. Of course, Dalic was at the Real Sociedad game this weekend. Recency bias is also a thing for him.
#OlicOut
OLIC DOESN’T KNOW WHAT THE F HE IS DOING
CROATIA CANNOT TRUST HIM WITH JAGA – HE SCREWED JAGA UP AT PAO ALREADY BY SAYING BEFORE LAST WEEKEND THAT JAGA IS STAYING WITH U21 – RAFA READS THAT AND THINKS – OK I CAN KEEP HIM ON THE PAO BENCH AS HE’S NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR CROATIA SENIOR TEAM !
Selected highlights of Olic’s proven INABILITY to assess talent and/or character
1) Durdov
Oct 7, 2024 Olic on Bruno Durdov:
“A bright future lies ahead of him. We are happy with every young player who comes in and quickly gets into the focus of the national team. It’s up to him to continue.”
“From my experience, it would be best not to put the burden of the senior national team and U21 on him because if he continues like this at Hajduk, that will be a normal progression.”
LMAO – Durdov had only scored 3 goals at Hajduk at that point (2x Gorica and 1x Sibenik) and Olic came out and started talking about poor 16 y/o Durdov could be on the Senior A team (at 16 y/o !) but they don’t want to burden him – well Olic did put a burden on a 16 y/o and Durdov has subsequently going into the abyss – not one goal for Hajduk since Olic’s statement Oct 2024 – Durdov went to U19 to play – played twice for Olic June 2025 at U21 – then back to U19 fall 2025 – fast-forward Durdov not even in Hajduk squad these days – and Croatia U19 didn’t call him in up in February 2026 for the 3 games – if anyone needed to get his confidence back it’s Durdov – they used him and abused him – and now he’s nowhere
2) Noa Mikic
Aug 8, 2024 Olic on Mikic upon calling him up for U21 qualifiers in September
“”As far as the roster is concerned, in the work of the U-21 national team I would like to include guys who are younger, but are great talents, so we have two 17-year-olds – Luka Vušković, who is already proving himself in senior football, and Noa Mikić, for whom all the national team coaches and the club coaches have nothing but praise.”
Mikic got called up to U21 by Olic – but don’t think he ever played him in Sep. 2024 (?) – and he’s been back down with U19 ever since and never returned to U21 level – fast-forward Mikic has had issues establishing himself at DZ (as Mart points out he’s probably more a RW than a RB – but his coaches, including Olic, haven’t figured that out) and has fallen off the radar and not even in DZ match-day squads these days – and he’s barely been playing for Croatia U19
CONCLUSION: OLIC AND THE NOSE PICKERS HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING – THEY COMPLETE FAILED ON DURDOV AND MIKIC – THEY ARE EITHER TERRIBLE TALENT SPOTTERS AND/OR TERRIBLE CHARACTER ASSESSORS – DURDOV AND MIKIC ARE JUST TWO EXAMPLES – ANONYMOUS IS SURE THERE ARE MORE – NOW IN REVERSE – THEY CAN’T FIGURE OUT THAT JAGA IS NT MATERIAL – BASED ON BOTH TALENT AND CHARACTER – AND KEEPING HIM HOSTAGE AT U21
#OlicOut
One more technical point. Croatia don’t play patterns. We play ‘off the cuff’ meaning we make it up during the game. This has pros and cons. The cons are that we can be disjointed and it sometimes never clicks in games. The positive is that it allows more creativity, it’s harder for the opposition to prepare as it’s open ended. Other teams play with rigid tactical plans and drilled patterns. One of the upsides to this is that younger players can more easily come in to the team, as their role is more clearly defined. To play for Croatia talent is not enough, you need to be mature enough to understand what is needed at any given moment, that requires a bit of experience. So there is another reason why younger players don’t often get called up with us.
I think Jaga should be called up. Believe in the kid. He acts like a senior player, no more u21.
It’s a tough call when to call players up. Letting them establish themselves at club level maintains high standards for the NT ie. Not everyone can play you need to be solid International standard. On the other hand, if they have special talent like Luka V and I think also Jaga, then calling them up early may give them a big boost for their progress. It depends on the psychology of the individual and that’s something we don’t really know. Have to trust the menu 🤔
In my opinion we need to be more aggressive with our ‘can’t miss’ prospects. When we are not aggressive it can cost us in tournaments by not having chemistry established with the senior team.
As a prime example, it was blatantly obvious that Gvardiol was more than ready for starting with the senior squad at a position of need before Euro 2020. But he got called up right before the tournament and gets thrown into the fire at the tournament against England. We should have been transitioning to him for several months prior to that point.
We’re in a similar situation with Vuskovic. It’s been clear for several months that he is a top option for us at CB, yet he’s hardly had anytime with the senior team.
I don’t think that we should limit ourselves to the very top prospects for call-ups either. Especially if it is at a position of need for us. How often has Dalic tried to fit a square peg in a round hole at RW? We saw that Marco Pasalic can play there well. Maybe Jaga could too. But too often Dalic is loyal to a fault with the vets and will give them precedence for call-ups and starts over some players that may actually fit the team better.
100% agree it depends on the individual, in particular psychological and weather it will spoil them (“I’ve made it, don’t need to train as hard !”) or motivate them (“Nice to be recognized, but it’s day 1 in a LONG journey, need to work twice as hard!”)
Anonymous is 99.9% Jaga is in the latter – remember – he got released by DZ a couple years ago (on a free) as they didn’t think he’s good enough and went to Belupo (99.9% of players careers “end” at that point) – unprecedentedly, he got ignored/overlooked by Croatia U15, Croatia U16, Croatia U17, Croatia U18, Croatia U19, but finally got a call up for Croatia U21 – can’t remember another example of that happening – that a player complete gets over-looked and than explodes into the U21 level – all of this to say Jaga 100% has a chip on his shoulder and against million to one odds became the best young player in the HNL from f-ing BELUPO – unprecedented – he’s a f-ing fighter – zero handed to him so far (although I’m sure he’s got nice wages at PAO)
But I can guarantee you if Luka Vuskovic or Jaga had dual citizenship (like Baturina and Wedding Boy or Dean Huijsen or countless others) they would have been capped by HNS/Dalic much earlier already – in those situations psychology and the like go right out the window and it’s about securing that player (if they pan out – you got them – if they don’t pan out – who cares)
And let’s remember, it’s all relative at the end of the day, were Max Dowman or Ethan Nwaneri 100% ready to make their Arsenal debut at 15 y/o or is JJ Gabriel ready to make his Man U debut at 15 y/o ? The answer is probably not in all three cases (from a psychological perspective) and I’d argue that playing for Arsenal or Man U first team is a hell of lot higher profile than playing for the Croatian NT – imagine being a 15 y/o in London or Manchester – and having to go to school the next day, walk around the neighbourhood, go to the grocery store, cinema, etc etc etc – that all goes out the window and their lives changes over-night and they are 100% in the limelight 24/7 especially with social media crap
So if those caps can get capped at 15 y/o – Jaga should be able to handle the Croatia NT at 20.5 y/o
Why did Dalic have lunch with Wedding Boy last weekend
He’s played 616′ this season for club (with 1 G and 1 A – excluding the 2 G/A vs. 4th tier side in the cup)
And has a history of entitlement and petulance e.g. let down NT with sister’s wedding, terrible body language/attitude vs. Gibraltar, etc
Meanwhile
Jaga has played 2253′ this season (with 9 G and 8 A) and is still with Olic
In what world is this fair and based on merit ???
Great message to all the young up and coming players i.e. don’t play nor perform and act like a prima donna and get rewarded ! Play a lot, score tones of goals, and act like a humble young man and get f-ed !
I mean even Dalic gave Wedding Boy his NT debut at only 19 y/o vs. Slovakia !
If this isn’t Maminjo’s “Diaspora Privilege” than Anonymous doesn’t know what is (same with Baturina when he was calling him up based on “potential” last year when DZ stunk, bc Bati did “1 or 2 good plays” a game per Dalic)

SN are reporting that Kovacic is back in full training and will be available for team selection in two week’s time.
They are also reporting that Gvardiol is about to come out of the moon boot.
If all goes well with the rehab, he should be ready to play at the end of May ?
Match fitness will be a big problem even if he recovers fully by the end of May.
We have two friendlies at the beginning of June against Belgium and Slovenia so that might be the time to give him 20 or 30 minutes in each match to test his leg before the WC.
Funny comments on Olic guys. Cracked me up
When Vušković scores at the World Cup, he should take off his jersey to display a t-shirt underneath with a picture of baby Olić on it
Then spend 20 minutes on the sidelines trying to get his jersey back on while we play with ten men (like Olić did at World Cup 2002)
Not sure if people know? but Olic as former HSV player has a house and lives in Hamburg and watches Vuskovic regularly.
…and I could regularly watch Chinese mystery movies, but if someone asks me to explain the plot of the movie in full detail afterwards, I may struggle to do so
They’ve showed Olic in the crowd at Hamburg games before – but every time he’s goofing off and/or on his phone
Not sure he’s watching much while he’s there
But even if he is watching for what purpose? He should get off his ass and watch players for the U21
Remember when Barisic said nobody even called him before being called up to U21 – Olic just texted him to come lol so f lazy
I am glad that Coach Dalic has kept the reins in on Vuskovic. They did it to Luka Modric in ‘06 and he turned out pretty well….and humble. I really hope he plays in the WC but at the same time perhaps Zlatko is looking out for the best for him- like his character.
Dalić didn’t keep any reigns on Vušković.
He genuinely didn’t think Vušković deserved a call up over guys like Duje or Pongračić.
Now it’s becoming too obvious how wrong he was. He’s been holding back from calling him up (like he did in November), but now it’s getting comical.
Vušković essentially forced his hand by becoming the top young player in Europe.
Maybe that put a chip on Vuskovic’s shoulder. I still like that they have held him back. His time will come and I hope he succeeds when it does; and I still hope he can have a great WC. Viva Zlatko!

Brace for it: Petar Musa, averaging 2 goals per game this new season so far.
He will have extra steps in him for sure especially in Dallas
Not saying he is the answer but yeah he will have a lot to prove
Musa needs to play in Europe screw the MLS
Random thought but krama does not get the respect or appreciation that he deserves.
Yes he can be a selfish ball hog at times but that’s the mentality of a poacher…he’s never hurt he’s popped in some crucial goals over the years and he’s always ready to represent his country without any drama or BS like livaja and kalinic
Where would hoffenhiem be without him you know they will build a statue of him when he retires
Dalic / Nose-Pickers –
Did you see how Declan Rice gave up the ball on Sunday which led to a goal ?
https://x.com/CFC_dennoh/status/2025619383825908096
Why did it happen ?
Bc you need ENERGETIC, PHYSICAL and FAST pressers – so England CBs/#6 don’t have time on the ball, make mistakes, and can’t build up
But u do u and start three snails up front and see how it goes vs. England
Sigur 10 games

Situation No. 9: HAJDUK – RIJEKA (79th minute); aggressive behavior
After the home team scored, home player No. (Sigur) tried to get the ball, which was in the goal net, and a defensive player (Radeljić) tried to stop him.
The referee intervened immediately and noticed that the home player had spat at an opposing player. Such behavior, according to the Laws of the Game, constitutes aggressive behavior and the referee correctly sent him off.

I know it’s wishful thinking, but apparently Dalic visited Gvardiol and it’s seems positive as though Gvardiol may be available for the World Cup.
Fingers crossed, I know it’s wishful thinking.
There is a recent article on Jutarnji List I believe about Zlatko Dalic visiting the different teams and players.
It also says that Omic stated that Luka Visković is officially going to be okay with the A team at the World Cup. He is no longer playing with the younger squad.
Sorry Olić.
Glad to see Olic is okay with our best players playing for the senior team instead of U-21s.
So long as Olić is good with it, then I’m good with it
Phew. Lucky olic gave his blessing for someone who may be the best cb Croatia ever produces and potentially even right now top 20 in the world cbs to play with the seniors
I’m gonna be like anonymous and call them nose pickers soon
It only took news that Real Madrid are leading the race to sign LV for 70m this summer for Olic to see the light !
Anonymously is sure that if Olic actually followed players – he would never have said this – given next in line CBs Prpic and Mlacic are getting zero minutes at Porto and Udinese – so he actually needs LV
But keep that quite let him be a moron
Don’t worry.
Olić will start Jagušić at CB.
lol
Either that or keeper
I mean the moron has already played him at LW for some dumb reason
Poor Jaga
Olic is never letting go of him
It’s good he’ll be there to play vs Yildiz and Guler on March 31 Turkey U21
Just joking they each 26 caps for Turkey senior team and both are younger than Jaga
Poor Jaga
Apparently Luka Sučić had a left abductor injury he is expected to return training in March maybe even late February. So it’s so not too serious.
Hopefully, he can turn this around.
Apparently it’s a lingering injury initially occurred at his sister’s wedding during the brother and sister dance
And now he’s reaggrevated it
Poor Wedding Boy – he’s never gonna live down this wedding
Franko with another goal today

“The U.S. could either drink Corona, or try to make some sort of statement by trucking out their own stuff. Meh.”
🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦 🤦
LMAO
Why wouldn’t American’s drink Corona you MORON ?
In 1993, Anheuser-Busch (a U.S. company) acquired 18% in Modelo (which owns Corona) and in 1997, they increased their stake to 50.2% in Modelo
>50% CORONA HAS BEEN OWNED BY A U.S. COMPANY SINCE 1997
In 2008, InBev acquired Anheuser-Busch, via hostile takeover, so the combined company Anheuser-Busch InBev (“ABI”) owned 50.2% in Modelo, and in 2013, ABI acquired the remaining 50% Modelo it didn’t own to reach 100% and as part of the deal (to satisfy regulators) ABI sold “U.S. Modelo”, including perpetual rights for all Modelo brands in the U.S. (including Corona), to Constellation Brands (a U.S. Company)
100% U.S. CORONA HAS BEEN OWNED BY A U.S. COMPANY SINCE 2013
Hey Googlepedia, that was my point. I’d have drunk the Corona too if I were them. Geezus. Breathe ….. and read. Inhale, exhale.
Get yourself together dude. Emojis, misused dashes, posts about some social-media wanker that has nothing to do with Croatian sports.
Hit the meds, mali.
I would guess most people would call Budweiser, for example, more “USA” than Corona is.
Not sure where you got that I thought they shouldn’t be drinking Corona. Was fine by me. Breathe … read.
Nuance is lost on you. If you even exist.
Baturina ankle injury no serious damage should be back at practise soon.
Who gives a shit what beers people drink and everyone please stop with the comments on this player yelled at his teammates and this other player shrugged his shoulders and this player sulks too much like cmon, is everyone now a DR. Phil.
Fruk sucks let’s end this nonsense he was ever a national team player he was just one of dalic calls to unite the country blah blah blah he a poor mans version of vlasic not a true #10 but better supporting striker.
Dalic forced vlasic so many times to please the hajduk fans. Who are impossible to please all the red card advantage var calls and penalties shots they’ve had in last 4 years most in league and they still blame everyone else and complain. Vlasic is good seceond striker in a 3-5-2 and that’s it please end the nonsense he should start. Yes he’s in the squad a good sub but I’m not building my team around him in midfield, we know what he is.
Jaga most likely isn’t going to the WC rooting for the kid but you went to the cetnik league. That league is where Croats go to retire not start their careers . He needed to start right away and have some good matches before trip to US in March which isn’t happening. If you’re not on that plane in March you’re not gonna be on the plane in June for the fringe players unless injuries. He still has about a month to make his case.
Agree on all points.
Jaga only has 2 weeks – Dalic announcing the squad March 9th (2.5 weeks in advance ! lol) – PAO has three games left for him to play in b4 then (not including Europa obviously)
But even then – f-ing Olic said he’s keeping Jaga for Turkey March 31st – so best case Dalic tries Jaga vs. Columbia – what’s the downside ?
I think why we started focusing more on Jaga – is what you accurately cover above – which #10s/creative midfielders are performing that are clearly ahead of Jaga ?
Baturina (he’s had 5 good games now, after starting slow)
Vlasic (yes – but everyone says he’s a depth player)
Majer (hasn’t progressed in 5 years – Wolfsburg could get relegated)
Fruk (not this year)
Wedding Boy (guilty, till proven innocent)
Anyone else ???
That’s the rub – which of the players above should start for the NT ahead of Jaga – Baturina (ok) – the rest probably not
The other thing – is Jaga scored more goals in 1/2 season on a crap Belupo team this year – then Baturina did all of last season at DZ with f-ing Petar Sucic next to him in midfield – and Dalic was calling up and playing Baturina last year just based on potential and in his own words (bc he does 1 or 2 good things a game, even if DZ is struggling lol)
Jaga also had an excellent 15 min vs. Larissa – but PAO has a lot of midfielders and it’s going to be tough for him to break-thru a starting XI spot immediately every game
Baturina and Jaga playing as joint #10/inside forwards – just makes sense – but realistically WC 2026 might be too early – but I wouldn’t could Jaga out just yet – if anyone can do it – it’s him
If the best comments about HNL this past weekend are about Sigur spitting about someone, what does that tell you about the quality of that specific match and the entire league? Awful match to watch. The is the worst I’ve seen from HNL ever.
He has a future in politics. First claiming he “selected Canada over Croatia” when he never had a chance to get on the field with us. Second, just for the stupid Instagram post, he should get an additional 10 match ban. It seems that the player he spits at originally tried to help him right after he got kicked.
As others stated, how stupid to be running to get the ball when you scored the lone goal in the 79th minute. Good luck with him Canada!
While proclaiming their patriotism I notice that USA hockey team was celebrating with Corona Light Beers and the partying with the ultimate Blue Blooded American 1st generation Kash Patel, who descendants, with no representative on our hockey, have given us, the great religion of Hinduism, Call Centers with men named “Bob Smith”, HB1- Visa immigration, to undermine white Collar wages, since the Mexicans already have the Blue Collar jobs covered. Really? …..
When they were at it, why not drink Molson’s, lights, while parading Mark Carney around.
The optics are not good.
That would be like the Croatians downing Serbian Niško, after winning the World Cup, and having Novi Fosil playing in the background.
For wealthy sports stars, there are no boundaries, Money and power is their true freedom and security, and family, faith, country looks good on a t-shirt at a country music concert. For them Patriotism is an Elixir for the poor and displaced. Money and power is a superior replacement of family. faith, and country.
If the Irish won, they would be celebrating with Guinness, with extra double Calories.
I guarantee the Canadians would not be drinking Coors lite, and playing Bruce Springsteen.
I dont think Molson Light is a thing lol. Light beer is for Americans. Springsteen is for everyone though. 🤘
Yes, Indeed Born In Edmonton, is my all-time favorite, or soon to be.
Have you watched this Administration the past year? Did you really expect anything better from him/them?
It’s been a disastrous last few years as a Canadian sports fan. Croatia is the only team I have faith in and have seen them go far a few times.
-Two overtime gold medal losses to U.S
-Blue Jays game 7 loss. So close to a championship. I’m convinced we are a baseball city now.
-Oilers lost back to back finals. (FYI we still have majority Canadian players that win U.S teams cups and that can’t ever be refuted. Same applies to our coaches and development. Although Europe and America is catching up.
-Then there’s the Toronto Maple Laughs. Losers forever. Two series wins in 21 years. I can’t even count the amount of game 7 losses or series they’ve blown and lost.
Congratulations to the Croat Americans in beating us. Let’s all unite and see Modric and Dalic have one more go at a title. All the teams we’ve lost to badly have became champs. I just want one title…..please Lord.
Oprosite! Mir z vami vsemi
Canadians and Americans are essentially the same thing.
Americans don’t really have much culture, which is why they’ll drink Coronas (or whatever is popular at the time) and blast whatever pop music is being promoted at the time.
Same goes for Canadians though.
Almost everything Canadians eat, buy, watch, or listen to…is American.
Croatians are a different beast. They’ll pump Cro music and drink their drinks until the end of time.
It’s why you guys in here need to drop the CAN vs USA nonsense.
The only beer available to buy at the Olympics was Corona. Contractual. Fans were paying seven euros for small 10-ounce “bottles.”
The U.S. could either drink Corona, or try to make some sort of statement by trucking out their own stuff. Meh.
@Mart
Why would Sigur only get 8 games ban ?
If proven (Sigur crying on social media w/ no real defence – just like Prestanni – always the same play-book from these guilty players) he should be banned for LIFE – as a (fake)-Croatian spitting on a Serbian player IS A RACIST ACT AND A HATE CRIME AND DESERVES CRIMINAL CHARGES AND JAIL TIME AND A LIFE-TIME BAN FROM FOOTBALL
Poor Canada – losing Sigur (potentially life-time), Promise David and Alfonso Davies – all in the same weekend – nasty – real nasty stuff
Watched the reverse-angle replay 4 times
100% Sigur spit on him
The ref is one foot away and had a perfect angle
Not sure what Sigur is saying the Rijeka players around me – the keeper and defender and looking downfield (not towards the net) – and the next closest Rijeka players are 10+ yards away and would be looking at Sigur’s back (given the angle) – so 100% they could NOT have seen what Sigur did
Sigur is 100% guilty
Anonymous wants to see CRIMINAL CHARGES AND JAIL TIME AND RACIST HATE CRIME THROWN AT HIM – LET HIM ROT IN CROATIA’S WORST PRISON – that’s Karma for being a faux-Croat
And the poor Serb – Sigur’s spit landed right on the back of this head – it was a “Sucker-Spit” as the Serb was looking down picking up the ball – Sigur doesn’t even have the balls to spit when the Serb is looking at him – he can only spit on the back of his head when he’s bent over – nasty nasty stuff by Sigur – really Cuck-like behaviour all around
btw: why was Sigur on the net trying to retrieve the ball to begin with ????
LMAO – what a MORON
Hajduk scored and was winning the game – there is no need to go retrieve the ball and rush the re-start – Sigur should be trying to so the EXACT OPPOSITE i.e. slow the game down / waste time – so Rijeka doesn’t have a chance to score an equalizer
That context matters – as Sigur had zero logical reason to be in the net to begin with – other than AGGRESSIVELY ATTACK the poor Serb and RACIALLY HATE CRIME the poor Serb
The sanction for spitting in HNL ranges from 2 to 8 weeks.
Sigur deleted his social media post after Rijeka posted the reverse angle video of Sigur spitting (and saying that ALL Rijeka players know Sigur is guilty) – what was he thinking perjuring himself on social media ?
These kids have no brains anymore
Deleting it does nothing – it just makes him look even MORE guilty
Ante Suto with winning assist as Hibs beat Celtic 2-1 away – what a result
That’s 2 goals and 1 assist in 113′ lol

Austrlia have contacted him for the WC – he came out and said “I’m Croatian and I’m Australian…. they know I’m half and half.”
WFT
Half and half ??????
Both his father (born in Australia) and mother (born in Croatia) are 100% Croats – Ante was born in Croatia – it just happens his dad was born in Melborne (to Croatians parents) – Anonymous is DISGUSTED by him saying he’s “half and half” – half and half what ???? You’re 100% Croatian you f-ing moron
I don’t care if he scores 1000 goals for Hibs – he’s not welcome EVER on the Croatian NT – it’s these dumb kids can’t even do simple math
Yeah – go be half and half on the Austrlia NT
Below is FB comment when he signed for Hibs

Not sure if anyone cares about hockey here but the Canadian National team has two players with Croatian bloodline…Bo Horvat and Macklin Celebrini… Historically there was also Frank Mahovolic and Joe Sakic as well. Sports and athletics is in our krv.
We have all time greats in every sport. Even sports we don’t even play as a nation, and other countries have us as their all time greatest players.
Viduka and Bogut are Australia’s best ever football and basketball players, Pulisic is USA’s best ever footballer, Chuvalo is Canada’s best-ever boxer, Karabatic as France’s best-ever handballer, etc.
Just so many Croatian-born and foreign-born Croats who are in the Hall of Fame or best-ever category in what they do.
Balić, Karabatić (handball)….Mikan, Havlicek, McHale, Tomjanovich (NBA Hall of Famers), Miocic, Cikatic, Cro Cop, Pat Miletich (MMA & K-1 Kickboxing champs) Chuvalo, Zivic, Parlov (Boxing champs), Modric, Bernard Vukas, Suker, Boban (football)…Botica (rugby)…Sakic, Pavelich, Mahovlich (hockey)…Kostelic (skiing)…Primorac (table tennis)…half of Novak Djokovic (tennis)…prob someone from waterpolo, and American football too, etc.
Absolutely astonishing.
There are many more legends, but these are what I can think of offhand.
Don’t forget Bill bilechick greatest coach of all time.
What kind of Jugoslavencina are you? Mentioning Djokobic, that’s the problem too many faux Croats that go to a Thompson concert and the following day are at some Serb turbo folk concert. Sramota!
I get that Novak Djokovic’s one grandfather is part Croatian (or Croatian fully) but he definitely carries the Serbian flag. He is also on the record as fraternizing with questionable individuals from the war.
I wouldn’t count him as being representative of Croatians, personally, just because of his success in tennis.
I’m not saying he represents us. But he is a product of Croatian tennis.
His mom is Croatian and the coach who trained and developed him growing up (Niki Pilić) is Croatian. He has more to thank Croats and Croatia, than he does Serbia, for his tennis achievements.
Yes, Ivanišević was also one of his coaches once but I would never put the words “Djoković” and “Hrvat” in the same sentence.
Look at how humble Marin Čilić conducts himself and compare it to Joker over the years. Even though his mom is Croatian, it doesn’t change that he doesn’t conducts himself as a typical Croatian.
The argument is more focused on genetics and culture.
Croatian genetics and Croatia’s tennis culture is what produced Joker.
Same as these American, Canadian and Aussie Croats.
Some (like Pulišić or Maradona) have little connection to their heritage…but (surprise surprise) they just happen to be all-time greats in football.
Hajduk v Rijeka 1 – 0, Livaja in the 79 min with a nice header.
What an awful low-quality match especially the first half. Hajduk lucky to win in the end despite playing most of the second half against ten men.
Toni Fruk for Rijeka again with a poor performance and got subbed at half time. Niko Sigur got red carded for Hajduk in the 79 min of the match for spitting.
What a fool could get suspended for up to 8 matches ?
Maminjo already mentioned this to some extent below. But it looks like Baturina’s injury isn’t serious. Thankfully.
Oh yea?
What’s the prognosis?
It just says ankle injury and that he will undergo assessment prior to the match against Lecce. That apparently initial reports are that it’s not severe.
There is no information that I can find on Como’s website. Which is funny because would you think they would post this on there somewhere. A player injury is fairly important information for a club regardless of the player.
Rotowire is the only source saying anything about it.
As with the National Team, whenever there’s a lead, Budimir becomes invisible and needs to be subbed off. With Osasuna, they took him out early in the 2nd half, where Dalić waits forever. He could have had 2 goals with his header hitting the post.
If he’s scouting our guys in Italy, I’m sure HNS can afford to buy him tickets to the states and go watch Musa and Marco Pašalić instead of on YouTube. His bias towards MLS cost us Pot 1 as Marco has the speed none of our other midfielders have and proved himself in the last 2 WC qualifiers.
While it’s great that the “other” Pašalić scored this morning for Atalanta, Marco has a great shot and can whip in an accurate pass and also have him WAY past a healthy Baturina.
As of right now our most vital players are injured; Gvardiol, Kovacic, Baturina and Sucic. We can’t afford to have any more injuries. We’ll be lucky to have all four healthy for June.
-Pasalic and Matanovic with a goal today
-Vlasic had a good game despite Torino losing 3-0. He has slowed down since his hot run.
-Musa two goals yesterday vs TFC.
By the looks of it. Majer and Ivanovic never start. I would think all these players are guaranteed starters.
Matanovic
Budimir
Baturina
Modric
Sucic
Jakic
Stanisic
Caleta-Car
Vuskovic
Can’t convince me otherwise. All of those guys are spots secured.
You actually think Perišić and Krama aren’t starting?
You have Matanović and Budimir as guaranteed starters. How is that going to happen when they play a lone striker?
Sučić barely played during WC qualifications and he’s hurt again, but he’s guaranteed to start? He might not even make the roster.
Perišić is definitely starting. Barring injury, Andrei is starting unless they feel Vlašić gives them a better chance (he would).
Watch the Dallas TFC hi lites with musa …it’s great he popped in 2 goals but the way he carries on screaming and pointing at his teammates on almost every play is lovrenesque!
Not a good look ..let’s see him scream at Luka or kova when he doesn’t get the ball
Musa should be doing that at the National Team level as well.
Even though no one’s been as good as Super Mario, the midfielders have done a poor job of getting the strikers the ball (outside of Luka). Not all of the strikers they’ve tried the last 8 years are bums.
Musa also went over to talk to Toronto’s goalie after the match, Croatian-Canadian Luka Gavran (who in my opinion struggled in the game).
And after Toronto tied it through Serbian-American Djordje Mihailovic, the ball came back to centre and he and Musa were seen having what looked like a light-hearted conversation with each other.
Small sample size but if I had to guess, he’s not an asshole.
JAGA ON THE F-ING BENCH AGAIN
ANONYMOUS IS GOING TO PUNCH A WALL !!!!!
F DIRTY GREEKS
FIRST THEY GIVE HIM THE #88 (WHICH IS BANNED IN SERIE A, ETC)
THEN THE MIS-SPELL HIS NAME WITH NO DIACRITICS
THEY STILL HAVEN’T ADDED HIS KIT TO BUY ON THEIR WEBSTORE
TEAMMATES HIDE HIS JERSEY LAST GAME SO HE GETS DELAYED COMING ON
AND HE CAN’T GET A F START
It was already highly unlikely that Dalić call him up (let alone play him).
Just a shame because this might drag on into the Nations League campaign.
Musa picking up where he left off
Hits a brace vs TFC in MLS Opener
Promise David landed terribly on his left leg today in a very awkward position almost like he hyper-extended his left knee (keep in mind he is very tall, heavy and carries a lot of weight) – he had to be stretchered off and Biondic came on – just watched his 22 minutes – must better than his first game which was the first time Anonymous watched he – he is still raw (but less raw than 6 weeks ago) – he moves very well for a striker and was active – he tried to make a few runs in behind the defence (to stretch them) and took good positions in the box to receive crosses, corners, etc – he has a bit of bite to him – lots of shouldering, pushing, etc with defenders to let them know he’s around – on the winning goal he ran smart interference on the CB so his teammate Sykes could head the ball in
Suspect Promise David is out for a long time – so Biondic might get a real run now
Alfonso Davies off injured too – from the replay – it looks like an identical potential patella injury to what Kulusevski is going thru (still no ETA and he’s been out since May) that is knee on knee with the opponent coming across the knee like that with some force
Unfortunate Croatia didn’t pull Canada from Pot 1 – without Davies and David – they are barely a Pot 4 equivalent team
Anyone watch Franjo today he got 19′ + ET ? They won 3-0, sad he can’t even get a start vs. the last place team (while Mourinho was starting a 17 y/o at LB) – sad
Martin Baturina Injury: Subs off against Juventus
Written by RotoWire Staff
Published on February 21, 2026
Baturina had one key pass, two crosses (zero accurate) and one off-target shot in 60 minutes before departing Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Juventus because of an ankle injury, DAZN reported.
Baturina turned his ankle in the first half and soldiered through the problem for a few minutes before asking out. The early indications are that it’s not too serious, but he’ll be assessed throughout the week ahead of Saturday’s home game against Lecce. Nico Paz will return from suspension in the next round.
I guess if Baturina is seriously injured I think that might give a place to both Vlasic and Luka Sucic (given they can perform well until the end of the season) for the world cup, but hopefully it’s not too serious. I’d really like to see Luka Sucic back in form and be called up
Any of you lads going to Philly?!! Was thinking about hitting the fan festival before the match but I was hoping to find some pub around town for before and after.
We need baturina given Luka Sučić terrible season. What’s the over under on mali Pašalić bagging goals to get in the starting 11 in at least one group stage match? If he bangs 10 in young mls season you can’t not start him right? Of course I fear Dalić plays Krama on the wing which he seems to be the only person that likes him in that position. This will be a comprise to squeeze Kova into the middle. I guess depending on the matchup you’d rather have Kova than Marco but I’m just saying for games against Panama even Ghana I would see if you get an advantage with Pašalić from kickoff.
I think he starts Baturina at LW and Perišić at RW with Krama in the middle (behind Budimir).
Dalić has started Baturina in the past, and if he remains hot (and if Kova don’t get back to form or just sits on the bench at Man City to close out the season) I think that’s how Dalić might roll.
But if Baturina is injured, cools off a bit, or if Kova gets back into semi-decent form…then Dalić will start Kova and shuffle guys around to make it work (likely playing Krama on the wing again).
Man City w the win
Now 2 points back of the Arsenal
You know what you need to do tomorrow Igor Tudor
Keep in mind he only has 13 first teamers for the match so it’s a Herculean task
Budimir scored a penalty against Madrid. Dalic and Corluka are watching the game.
Reports coming out that it’s baturinas acl. May be done for the season
What reports are suggesting ACL?
Dnevnik just reported that he’s still being looked at, and we won’t know anything for 2-3 days.
He was injured without contact with anyone, and it seems like he had an issue with a muscle. He continued to play, but was limping, so he had to be substituted.
Hopefully it’s not his knee. No reports were suggesting this. SN said it looked like an ankle injury, and Dnevnik are just reporting what CalcioNews is reporting below.

We need Baturina in good form for WC.
Hopefully this is minor.
But @Maminjo is right, it does not appear to have been the result of a collision or type of incident which is usually the source of a major injury.
I rolled the tapes.
He is hit hard at 47.30 and again at 53.00 but does not appear to be hurt in either collision. I thought he might have been limping slightly, in the middle of those two knocks, at 50.00 for what is only a brief clip. He is hit mildly again at 55.20.
At 56.12 he looks to his coach and indicates he might have to come off. From that point he is noticeably limping. Comes off shortly thereafter.
The commentator says that he was hurt in the first half, but he now has to raise the white flag . . . indicating that this injury is something that happened earlier, some time in the first half, but he was able to keep going, but then it finally became too much.
I did not see the first half.
In any event, it was not the type of injury where he got hit and was taken off the field. It seems to have come on more gradually.
The way it happened provides at least some hope that it is not a major problem.
I guess it’s just a matter of whether or not a non-contact injury is more likely to be a knee or muscle injury.
Sportske said it was ankle, but that was hours ago in their headline and I think they were just assuming.

Old news.
We’re all on the “Tudor is dating Hayley Atwell” headline right now.
Stanisic with an assist to Kane
Caleta-Car goal
Karmaric goal (Hoffenheim now only 3 points behind Kovac’s Dortmund)
Baturina subbed off in 60th minute and hopefully the injury isn’t too bad.
Musa against Toronto FC tonight in Dallas.
Sucic against Lecce
Musa goal 11th min v. TFC Mihajlovic ties it a few minutes later.
Just saw Baturina was subbed out with injury. Anyone see it? Was it serious?

As a PRIORITY and MATTER OF URGENCY we NEED to start listing Jaga’s matches so the nose pickers start watching him
JAGA PLAYING SUNDAY 9:00AM (ET) VS. OFI
F-ing Olic said today he’s not letting Jaga go (he wants him for March 31 Turkey)
The good news is Olic’s finally thrown in the towel on 70m going to Madrid Luka V and said he’s not playing with U21 anymore (but only bc the A-teams CB have so many problems LMAO)
Second
You missed IGOR TUDOR’S TEAM massive NLD Sunday 11:30 vs. the Arsenal
Any luck removing Tttenham from the moderation capture yet ? Over-posting Tttenham is SO 2024, we’re already in 2026, keep up with the times 😉
