Toma Bašić is moving to Lazio. This is a very interesting move. Hopefully it works out for him.

I’m not crazy about this. Hopefully it’s just about putting pressure on AC Milan.
I wouldn’t mind that at all! West Ham had a great season, qualified for Europe and have a good young team. I think he’d slot in nicely. Get to show up Everton twice a year too!
Wait krama is dumped off the squad? I thought it was brekalo and rebic?
I don’t see how skill level like krama just disappears for repka
Sure he is used to playing with his normal week to week guys but it’s not like he is new to the repka and is playing with bums
I guess it’s tactics and or heart
Kramarić is still on the squad.
You’ll never see Kramaric leave as long as Dalic stays. Only reason he’s on the squad is because he’s a great passer and tap in scorer at club level.
Krama is on the team of 11 (best statistical players of the week) on WhoScored.com across all top 5 leagues.
Krama is the third best rated out of the 11 players, behind Haaland and Braithwaite.
So the best player of the round gets dumped from the national team
Great work Dalic
Where were these defence splitting passes during the euros
I saw that Sosa kid today for the first time on German TV and he has game- let’s make him write an apology and then he can clean the boys cleats for a few weeks and then we absolve him of his sins and he plays- he’s better than the sarma we have on the team write now- good passer and really good at hitting guys with crosses
He is Jarni which we’ve been craving for a long, long time.

What you guys think? Taking away from our decki or maybe this is actually although very slowly better for us long term?
Different challenges and different exposures maybe
Definitely taking away from our dečki.
Ideally you would only sign foreigners that would essentially be star players on your team, or young guys that you could develop and sell.
These foreign bums in the HNL are not that. Most of them are already too old to get any better, are usually paid more than the Croat kids, and they are not much better (if at all).
Šibenik has Colombian owners, so it’s no surprise that they now have six Colombian players.
Šibenik also has some 28 year old Indian player joining them, but that’s through a Štimac connection because he coaches him on the Indian national team.
It’s all connections and word of mouth. Not so much elite scouting and development.
Šibenik is going nowhere with these moves. Same thing will happen to them like it did Istra.
The joys of Globalism.
Dalic just gonna do his same old system and try to plug guys in to do his system that just can’t
And we always knew lovren especially would have to be dragged away kicking and screaming from the team
A fragile ego is a terrible thing to fight
Lovely plays by krama and kova
Kova’s trophy case is probably gonna go down as the biggest in cro history!
https://www.goalstube.online/2021/08/arsenal-chelsea.html?m=m2
Kovacic is always accused of not looking forward enough and the commentators astonishingly give him ZERO credit here, but the first goal is all Kovacic.
Nice forward pass by Kova.
I would be the first to admit to being wrong about him being allergic to offense if he continues to do this (as well as throw some bombs on goal, which is he still has problems doing).
https://www.goalstube.online/2021/08/hoffenheim-union-berlin.html?m=m2
Pure class assist from Kramaric.
Hockey assist on the first goal as well.
He likes to play deep or with a partner in attack. It’s pretty obvious that he doesn’t play up top.
We can’t do this anymore.
Dalic really needs to figure this out. What a waste of talent.
It’s too late.
He’s already 30. New coach will come in when Krama is 31 and we’ll maybe get one or two decent years out of him (if we don’t have someone younger to integrate).
There is a split between the veterans and the young players
Is it one of those situations of older players staying on for too long and yes does that include modric
This is all Lovren
You’d think this might fall on the coach?!
Of course it does.
But sometimes a weak coach will just allow for the stronger voices from the veteran players on the team to take over.
Lovren was already quoted (earlier in the year) that “young players have no respect”.
My guess is that Lovren said this because he is concerned about his starting position on the team being taken from him by a better player (like Caleta-Car) and he feels that he should have seniority.
Lovren has done this in the past where he felt he deserved to start (ironically, over the veteran players at Euro2016) and he walked out on us.
The guy is a cancer in the locker room and a delusional basketcase who still thinks that he’s “the best defender in the World”.
Dalic is too weak to make the obvious changes, and our other veteran players like Modric are probably close buddies with Lovren (who is probably a good guy off the field) so they don’t want to step in.
Brekalo and Pasalic had assists today. Grbic didn’t look that good but it’s the first game for him. Brozovic looked good too. Orsic scored today.
Awww Grbić didn’t look good?
Damn. Well hopefully it was just an off game and he continues starting and shows us that he’s a capable keeper.
https://streamja.com/nXEzd
Grbic
No way he would’ve saved that. Good goal.
https://www.goalstube.online/2021/08/hertha-berlin-wolfsburg.html?m=m3
Nice composure from Pasalic.
Grbic could/should have done better on the goal. Too bad…..
No way. That was a great goal..
Lille is down 3-0 at the half with Grbić starting.
All three goals were his fault, with the third being an own goal by him.
He’s been subbed out at halftime.
I almost believed you 🙂
https://www.goalstube.online/2021/08/hertha-berlin-wolfsburg.html?m=m3
Here’s my theory. Brekalo has a major attitude problem. He even posted to social media the other day defending himself. If you look at the replay of his assist today (it was actually quite nice) he turns away from the goal scorer and starts celebrating like it was all about him. These displays make him look very selfish. I don’t like it.
Why do all our forwards tend to have attitude towards coaches? First kalinic, then Rebic and now Brekalo.
Grbic starting today for his new club, Lille. Hopefully he can impress this season and provide the NT with another option between the sticks.
Just watched the highlights, great assist. Controlled the ball well in the box and found the open player while surrounded. I think a younger Brekalo is more selfish and takes that shot.
He was also involved in the buildup to their first goal. I think dropping him from our A squad was harsh. Dalić put him in a position to fail in the Spain game playing at RWB and then penalized him for failing. He’s got the talent to start in place of Rebic, or be a supersub when used in the proper position.
I’m not trying to be argumentative Vuk but I totally disagree. Brekalo isn’t benched or not called up because of that one game, Brekalo was irrelevant at the Euro’s.
He was easily contained and didn’t do enough to make an impact…I was very surprised at how little he did and how easily he was controlled!
All fair game. I wouldn’t argue that he didn’t have a good tournament, but to me it was more symptomatic of Dalić misplaying his hand with putting players in positions in which they never excel or play. Along with Brekalo, he had Kramarić, Rebic, even Vlasic put in positions they don’t consistently play in. Vlasic was able to still have a good tournament because he’s world class in my opinion. But you can’t put multiple players in spots they’re not familiar with and expect it to work. If my memory serves me, Brekalo had to be mindful of tracking back the length of the field to cover for a fresh legged Olmo, while also having the responsibility of continuing to provide a spark offensively. I don’t even see many world class players being able to live up to that task. And in all the games we’ve seen, it’s clear Brekalo isn’t known for his defensive prowess, so why put him in that position when you had Vrsjalko ready on the bench after they equalized.
Not to mention, it has an element of experimentation during the Euros of all times that rubs me the wrong way. It’s been widely talked about having Gvardiol’s first National team cap coming in a major tournament…the sauce needs time to cook for the flavors to meld. The chemistry wasn’t there and Dalic was randomly throwing ingredients in hoping for it work.
I almost agree with everything except for the playing players they don’t excel at.
Dalic screwed up on many things and we all agree he could have brought in some players into the mix but to suggest Brekalo and others failed because of Dalic I think that’s false or mostly false…especially when we are talking about our attacking options.
I can’t ever remember our team doing well by sitting back and absorbing pressure. Especially if we let the other team begin their attack from centre and no pressure within their. If we look at the lineup we had, who would you have included up top that would help Rebic and Perisic do the high press?! That was one of our biggest challenges.
We lost our huge possession advantage vs most of our opponents because we couldn’t create turnovers in the opposing end and the load defensively became a burden.
In hindsight, most will probably say we should have used Budimir…but prior to the tournament, people were saying Kramaric and Petkovic…and if you ask me, they both sucked ass!
Most coaches would have had to solve that puzzle. Most, in my opinion, would have used Rebic because he’s fast, strong snd woks hard. Unfortunately, we never had the 3rd player to help solve our high press issues and we defended from centre for long periods in the tournament. That changed a lot for us and Brekalo, Krama, Petkovic all suffered and didn’t have a good tournament because they couldn’t adapt…I don’t blame Dalic, he had limited options.
If I were to blame Dalic for anything, it would be for our defenders snd who played vs who should have.
I didn’t see it, but Brekalo came on in the 70th minute and contributed with an assist on the game winner for Wolfsburg.
Can someone explain why DAZN no longer shows Italian league games and where I can watch them in Canada?
Fuck, every year I have to buy a different channel or app just to keep up!
Sportsbay.org
Works for all your sports !
No tv channels?
TLN if you have Shaw. I believe it’s channel 87. They showed 2 or 3 games a weekend last year. Sadly I switched to Telus Optik a month ago and they don’t have TLN anymore.
Yeah I just found out games will be televised starting tomorrow on TLN
I read that, unlike last year, games on TLN will be with Italian commentary, not English.
Otherwise FUBOTV shit. To which I say — SerieAsly? I ain’t ordering another service.
DAZN doesn’t even share the news, nor charge a penny less. Svi kurci.
Serie A switched up their TV rights in the States too. They were on ESPN last season which was great! ESPN dumped Serie A this season to pick up La Liga. Now Italy is on fucken Paramount. Isuse…
Luka hurt

Have him rested and give him for break because no way he’ll play in September qualifiers.
