Antonio Čolak scored two solid goals for Rangers on Saturday in a 2-1 victory over Dundee United. Once again, how the hell did Zlatko Dalić not call up Čolak for September Nations League matches against Denmark and Austria? He’s Croatia’s most in-form striker and single handedly helped Rangers get to Champions League. I’m not saying you have to start the guy, but at least let him apply pressure to the rest of the strike force. The win temporarily moves Rangers two points behind Celtic for the Scottish lead.
Kristijan Jakić and Eintracht Frankfurt handled Borna Sosa’s Stuttgart side in a 3-1 victory Saturday. Sosa supplied the assist on Stuttgart’s lone goal while Jakić added an insurance goal via header (corner kick) in the 88th minute. Both Croatians played the full 90 minutes in the match as last year’s Europa League winners, Eintracht Frankfurt, now temporarily sit (as of Saturday evening) four points behind Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund. Stuttgart only have five points from the first seven matches of the season.
Ivan Perišić assisted on Spurs’ second goal Saturday from a corner in a 6-2 win over Leicester City. From Tottenham’s Twitter: “A perfect corner from Perišić finds the near-post run of Eric and he glances home to give us the advantage!”
Perišić was given a 7/10 from Football London as he was “On the right and dived in poorly in the build-up to Leicester’s penalty. However, he made up for it quickly with strong raids down the right and then another assist to his name with a curling corner for Dier to head home. Switched to the left before coming off before the hour mark. Grabbed that assist and put in the cross for Sanchez’s header, which was tipped onto the crossbar but also had some iffy moments defensively.”
Luka Sučić earned a 1st minute assist on Sunday when he blasted a perfect 50-yard pass down field to put teammate, Benjamin Sesko, on a break away. Sesko would convert to put Red Bull Salzburg up 1-0 before the seats had a chance to get warm in the stadium. With the match tied 1-1 in the 30th minute, 19 year-old Roko Šimić looked to have scored the game winner but VAR took it away for being offside. It was close but the match would end 1-1. It would have been Šimić’s first goal for Reb Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga. Shame.
Luka Modrić played 82 minutes Sunday as Real Madrid defeated city rivals Atletico 2-1 in La Liga action. Modrić received a 7/10 grade as “His killer pass made the second goal possible.” He captained Los Blancos with Benzema out with an injury.
If it’s about winning right…hmm hmm….I would ask Rakitic to come back to the National Team. For team chemistry he would be good, a super sub since most games are won or lost in the last 15 minutes it seems at the World Cup. Of course we will most likely be in a penalty shootout of more ( offensively we are not there yet! ) and Raka is cool as ice. His value will grow tremendously as we get further in the tournament. I think Luka would love someone he can count on too. Honest consideration truly. We all know what we want for Christmas from our Sampioni!
I love Rakitic and always did but it’s impossible to be a credible coach and then invite him back after this team qualified without him….it’s just wrong to bring him in even though I’d love to see him back. If it were me as coach I could never feel good about bringing him back at this stage!
Slavonac do you think when them increasing the team size by 3 there may be a chance? I understand what you said and you may be indeed correct. If it was less about the Ego on the team the common thread would be to bring him in; he is not an average player after all. His pedigree is all the way up there. It should Trump some random call up: even out of respect he WON us the Silver in a sense as he was huge for us! I wish I knew how the Team chemistry was. It takes real “balls” to Win. Dalic I guess you can say is “Vrlo Posten” which is great as a Human and probably why he is loyal to the old Guard like Dejan and Vida.
I’d have no problem at all bringing Raketa back. If he’s a better player than others he should play. It’s the World Cup! You need as many players with big game experience as you can get.
Doesn’t have to start, bring him on for 15 minutes and za penale. He’s a stone cold killer when it comes to penalties.
Also, with the expanded rosters, it shouldn’t ruffle too many feathers.

Is Raketa better than one of Broz, Modric and Kovacic?
I haven’t been following Sevilla and I stopped watching Rakitic after he retired from our National Team. I assume he may have dropped off a bit, but I wouldn’t know.
If Raketa isn’t better than Broz, Modric or Kovacic, then he won’t start.
Then we have to ask (as a backup) would he really be needed…considering we have Majer, Sucic, Pasalic, Vlasic and Krama?
And assuming he is better than all of our backups…is he that much better that it would be worth stripping some of the key younger players (like Majer or Sucic) the experience and and delaying their integration for future tournaments?
I’m all about ‘win-now’, so normally I wouldn’t care about developing youngsters during an actual World Cup…so I wouldn’t have a problem with bringing him on if he’s that much better.
But as Slavonac suggested, you have to be very careful with this.
Rakitic bitched out on us during a critical time, and we actually have quite a bit of depth in midfield.
It would look pretty bad that (despite having several midfielders who start for good teams across Europe) you still go back to grab some veteran would wasn’t even around for two years?
Unless you are really convinced that adding him would take you deeper into the tournament, then you shouldn’t even be talking about this.
It’s a risk vs reward thing. You risk the locker room, but you’d better be adding an elite caliber player who could take you to the next level.
I don’t think Rakitic is that.
(and if it’s about the penalties, Krama is better anyway)
I do think Rakitic is better than Vlasic, Kramaric and Pasalic but comparing them is not really fair as they each bring a different skill set (all of which will be necessary if we want to win). The main reason I would want Rakitic in the team is he would be a solid replacement for Modric if he needed to be rested or (God forbid) an injury. Rakitic has the experience of playing in big matches and would have a calming effect on the team.
Imagine if Luka did get injured, I think Sucic is still a little too green to turn to and Majer does not have the presence (yet) that Raketa would give the team. None of the 3 above mentioned players could fill that role either.
Might be a good guy to have around just in case.

Livaković – Juranović, J. Šutalo, Gvardiol, Sosa – Modrić, Brozović, Kovačić – Perišić, Petković, Oršić
Wouldn’t be bad to try it, but if Oršić isn’t hugely impactful at LW then I’m putting Perišić back in his position.
Hate to not put Perišić in his ideal role.
Also, having Perišić at RW makes Juranović less important, and it would probably be better to have Stanišić start (for defensive purposes).
Would like to see Kovačić benched to see what Majer (or the recently hot Vlašić) could bring with Modrić & Broz behind them. Would like to see them at CAM instead of being out of position.
I actually posted a legit line up! I’m so proud of myself from not being a soccer kid at all
The orsic petko Perisic combo needs to be tried. If they click it may be really effective
I like sosa and stanisic for our wing backs
Let Perisic do his thing and have stanisic just worry about defensive duty
Can have sosa and orsic causing havoc down the left side
Gvardiol can help cover for that side with I guess sutalo or whoever is the most defensively sure Cb hold the Fort with broz helping him out
I believe luka and Majer can provide all the offence and dishing out the ball we need in the middle
Maybe it’s kova, maybe it’s vlasic or krama/pasalic type mid field role? Or is that too far fetched
With the luka broz kova midfield we will surely dominate possession with many teams
some guy on Twitter posted goalie stats:
Udarci izvan 16 m (shots from outside the 18 yard box) – postotak obrana vratara u ovoj #HNL sezoni 👇 (save percentage from goalies)
L. Kalinić- 55,6%
I. Banić- 68,8%
A. Marković- 71,4%
K. Santini- 75,0%
N. Čavlina- 80,0%
I. Ivušić- 81,8%
I. Sušak- 83,3%
O. Zelenika- 84,6%
N. Labrović- 85,7%
D. Livaković 86,7%
L. Rogić- 93,3%
L. Majkić- 100%
K. Sentić- 100%
This is not a pro Livakovic comment but it does show that L Kalinic gets scored on from outside the box almost every 2nd shot and Livakovic is the best of Ivusic, Kalinic and Liva
surprisingly, on another report there is a column for “crosses not claimed” and Livakovic has a “0” not claimed meaning he’s come out for all crosses.
Thanks for sharing
At the end of the day we all know livakovic is starting.
I just hope he is on a short leash with ivusic right behind him
Cool. Is there a link to additional HNL goalkeeper stats?
We need more context, otherwise we can suggest that Rogić, Majkić, and Sentić should be our three keepers and Livaković should be cut from the team as a result.
I would love to see some stats though because I’m intrigued by Labrović.
He’s young, has great size, and has been playing first team football for a few years now in the HNL. He’s been getting callups (just hasn’t had a shot in goal yet).
His save percentage is in the upper tier…despite playing on lowly Rijeka. I would assume he’s being pelted all game with shots considering how bad Rijeka is this season.
For comparison, Banić plays for Gorica (which is also at the bottom of the table with Rijeka) but Banić has a save percentage that is more reflective of a team that is bottom table. I’m curious to see whether or not Labrović is actually facing a higher volume or quality of shots than guys like Ivušić and Livaković, yet is still managing to keep as high a save percentage.
I played hockey goalie decently high
It’s a great way to develop
Playing on a crappier team in good leagues
If your confidence is good and can take being pelted day in and day out
Maybe you get twice the shots as say a goalie on a poor team
Lot more experience in a shorter period
So ya I know you mentioned this kids a few times.. would be good to see him at some Point
Twice as many shots compared to a better team
Say Dinamo and livakovic I meant
Marco pasalic has been called to u21
Maybe that means sutalo will be with the big boys
Speaking of pasalic, how is Mario doing this season? Seems quiet
We most likely know vlasic will get that rw position
And I totally agree sutalo and sucic first of all probably hate playing for the u21s
But we need to be integrating them now
That sucic pass was top class, raketa style
If we play petko up top I know it weakens Perisic
But love to see
Orsic on left. Petko and Perisic on right
If you put barisic that will keep
The left wing solid solid and orsic can do his thing offensively
I think him and sosa would bring so much offence to the mix
Then Perisic secures the right side if it’s JJ, or if you play stanisic then Perisic doesn’t have to play as much on both ends
I feel that Sutalo and Sucic will be playing for the U 21 side against Denmark ?
Some media reports are also suggesting that this might be the case ?
Erlic has not played last two weeks due to injury. Gvardiol also has not played a lot, however I think that Dalic will play him.
The team most likely against Denmark in 4 -2-3-1 formation will be:
Players in brackets to come on as subs.
——————– Petkovic (Colak/Budimir)——————–
— Perisic (Orsic)—- Kramaric —- Vlasic (Majer)
————-Modric (Kovacic) —– Brozovic
–Barisic (Sosa)— Gvardiol—Lovren—Juranovic
God I hope Sutalo and Sucic aren’t going down to the u21s for this international break, they’ve outgrown that u21 side and the both of them are ready to be integrated into the team now.
With regards that lineup, Everything good at the back besides Barisic. Sosa is much better.
I don’t like Kramaric in the middle or uptop, he shouldn’t be in the starting 11 for us anymore he’s had too many chances.
Vlasic on the wing is a death sentence, so much more effective in the middle. We have also been lacking a RW for a long time now.
Other than that, can’t complain.
Barisic is playing well for Rangers and is much stronger in the air and defensively than Sosa. Against a physically strong Denmark, Barisic in my opinion is a better option. As far as RW is concerned we don’t have any players at the moment who are natural Right Wingers ? Orsic has played there a couple of times and was a disaster. Perisic needs to stay on the left. It has to be Vlasic or Majer ? both are in good form for their respective clubs.
Sosa has been playing well in the Bundesliga as well and I find that he’s attacking output is elite compared to Barisic (not disregarding Barisic’s attacking output) but I see why you would go for Barisic.
I would much rather Majer at RW because he isn’t as direct, he creates opportunities far more better than anyone else.
Under no circumstances should Barišić EVER be considered over Sosa.
The last time we did this, we drew Slovakia at home in a critical qualifier.
LB should always be Sosa.
If he’s injured or suspended, then you play Gvardiol there.
Barišić is an end of the squad callup, in case we have multiple injuries.
That’s all he should be.
this is true!
In my opinion, Sutalo and Sucic will be considered two of our BEST very soon…I love both and they look great so far!
This is how we should look based on Current form 4-3-3(4-5-1)…. Most likely Kovacic will be starter instead of Majer…
Toss up on Barisic over Sosa… Orsic Petkovic dual is in great form and I think we will see them together to start
Subs and reserves
Orisic as far as i know can’t do right side at least not like Perisic ?
Orsic’s bread and butter is cutting inside from the left, and shooting on goal with that lethal right foot.
You completely lose that when he plays on the right side.
It would have to be Perisic on the right side…but then you lose Perisic’s patented left sided step-over runs where he beats the keeper with near sided goals.
What a nice turn out of trouble followed by a wonderful left footed long ball for the assist. Comparing one Luka to another isn’t fair, but this play feels kind of like deja vu.
So we kinda have an idea of what our defense should look like
Sosa Gvardiol Sutalo/Erlic Juranovic
Our midfield looks pretty much the same as usual
Kovacic Modric Brozovic
Our attackers for now will most likely be
Perisic Petkovic/Kramaric Majer/Vlasic
If you ask me I feel like Rebic is a loss, he’s currently injured but had a good preseason and start to the season. Brekalo is playing his usual one decent game and then we don’t hear about him for weeks. Ivanusec is trying to get in form. I’m not sure about Vlasic…he was good and went quiet.
Complaining about Colak being called up or not is nonsense if you ask me. Last season people were screaming for Simic to get called up and look now, he’s not on the radar. Remember Musa? How’s he doing? I feel like many of us read a headline and we get totally lost in space, dreaming that our next superstar has arrived when in fact most of our team scouts and coaches have a very good sense of who’s doing well or not. I haven’t heard much of Budimir this season but once again, when he had a few good games we were ready to give him the keys to the city!
Consistent performances is key folks and at the international level, we can’t expect an average player to all of a sudden be a superstar…it doesn’t work that way! The second half of last season Livaja was considered a leader and lately he’s pretty average at Hajduk and in the HNL, I’m not sure we are realistic.
I think we have 13 or 14 solid player and from them, I’d say 3-4 are elite which is pretty good!
Our goalie situation is going to be a problem. Livakovic played very well today, He’s the only winning goalie we have at the moment, the rest are inconsistent whether we agree or not!
I don’t disagree with you aside from the Colak conversation. We’ve tried other options up top, nothing has really panned out. We have a guy scoring consistently in the Scottish League. I know it’s not the top level and it’s only been a few game since the start of the season, but statistically speaking it’s better than any other option we have right now. It makes zero sense how he has not been called to at least be on the team for these friendlies and not a back up in case things fall through.
If Dalic were to call up Colak I wouldn’t be against it. I’m just saying that we all keep naming names as if we know while the decision makers are all on the ground level and see and know who’s performing OR they see how they fit in with the team.
Several weeks back I mentioned how Nikica Jelavic caught fire for approximately 1.5 years and I was totally happy for him and for us. If Colak has any resemblance to that situation then we are in luck…I guess we have 2 more months to see!
Colak is on reserve but the problem is he should be at the very least on the bench…At the very least! That’s based on the goals scored at this stage, and you have to remember he scored goals in the Champions League qualifiers as well, which is a big stage, and helped put the Rangers in the tourney for the first time in 12 years, was it.
These are things that Dalic should consider for the Nations League it’s your time to experiment with some younger players. Namely Colak and Musa, I don’t know that much about Budimir but he didn’t seem that strong/skilled of a player.
How many strikers can we have on the bench? Think about this, back in 2018 we had Mandzukic, Kramaric and Kalinic and today I think we have Petkovic, Kramaric, Budimir…how many more strikers do we need?
Budimir and Livaja are not scoring, but we all know that Dalic will probably keep them on the team simply because they were on the team already.
He’s a slow-to-react coach and won’t make any changes unless there is a 12+ month runway relative to the rest of the World. We’re probably not going to see any surprises up top for our World Cup squad.
Based off of form, our strikers should probably be Kramaric, Petkovic, and Colak.
Scottish league is pretty mediocre, and I don’t think Colak is some phenom striker for us…but he probably deserves a callup over Livaja and Budimir (assuming Budimir continues his scoreless streak).
Livaja just scored two non-PK goals yesterday. He will be consistent again. Budimir is not failing to score because of quality. It’s his role on the Osasuna team. He holds the ball up and they have a few attacking midfielders on the second line who are scoring the goals. It doesn’t help that his team has been getting red cards. Nevertheless, Čolak is the man. He led the Croatian league in goals a few years ago and was then transferred to Malmö. He scored a good number of goals at Malmö and competed with them in the Champions League, where he looked good but could not get proper service. He went to Rangers, where he gets proper service, especially from crosses by Barisić and Tavernier, and he is turning that service into goals. The fact that they win when he plays and lost horribly when Morelos played instead is indicative of his impact.
Livaja has had a tough year so far and Hajduk is dropping points the last two games in a row. I’d say he’s nowhere near as in form as last season!
You’re right for long term. But, for tournaments, you play the hot guy. And he should at least be given a chance leading up to the tournament.
Juranovic as our starting RB makes me nervous.
He brings it offensively, but doesn’t provide anything defensively. Got scored on pretty easily last game.
It also doesn’t help that Sosa at LB is not really know for his defense. Sosa’s offense at LB is absolutely ELITE and he’s a World Class LB offensively (so there’s no chance that we do not start him)…but we don’t really need Juranovic’s offense at RB (since we do have a few offensive options at RW in guys like Majer, Orsic, Perisic and Vlasic). We’lll probably make it work there.
After watching the France game, I really love what Stanisic brings at RB.
Defensively, he’s a fucking rock.
He’s also got great size for set pieces too (he’s 6’2″).
Having a big and tall backline of Sosa, Gvardiol, Sutalo (or Erlic) and Stanisic is great (with Gvardy being the shortest at 6’1″).
Starting for Celtic in the Scottish league shouldn’t hold more weight than playing backup for Bayern (especially after you put Mbappe in your pocket in Nations League).
Hopefully Dalic isn’t an idiot and continues to play Stanisic in the upcoming match against Denmark.
I totally agree with you regarding Stanisic, this last set of games he pleasantly surprised me and was 10000 times better than the first time we saw him.
I’m also not 100% convinced with Juranovic but he’s the type of player that’ll give you 100%, he’s always a team player and he has a motor and can run tons. I was one of few people that appreciated players like Pivaric and Melnjak while most people hated them! There’s some players that are role players…they do their job and are never complicated, always working and they deserve credit! Let’s not forget that Pivaric played a role in Mandzukic’s goal vs England!
Mandzo scored off a random header that Perisic popped straight up into the air during a 50:50 challenge.
Mandzo’s goal was all effort from both Mandzukic and Perisic. Not sure if it mattered who may have touched the ball anytime before that.
it was Pivaric’s cross that got cut off and went up into the air…then Perisic won the head ball and we know what Mandzo did next!
Pivaric’s cross into the box against England wasn’t going anywhere, it was lucky that Kyle Walker couldn’t get a proper clearance off it because that goal would’ve never happened if he did.
Pivaric made the attempt to get the ball in the box, anything can happen when the ball get sent into the box!
Jakic is where now?
So 3 total games
When is nations league finals?? Next year?
Colak also just tuned 29
He is now entering true nogometaš level according to soul champ or Slavonac(I apologize I always get you guys mixed)
How can we not roll him out for some of this September action?
Who is even close to scoring regularly? Kramaric mostly from penalties tho. We already know what we get from him
How many friendlies do we get again? I know it was super limited
Sosa. Gvardiol/ sutalo JJ
I’ve seen worse posted on here
I meant to line it as a 4-3-2-1
But as a 4-3-3 as well maybe
That’s for dalic to figure out, tho I would just prefer luka lining things up the way he likes is probably our best best
We beat Argentina in Davis cup
Is cilic hurt?
Who is this borna gojo kid?
He played in wake forest is from split
If any of the HNS scouts or the manager watch those Rangers highlights, they will see Colak involved in a majority of the plays, at both ends of the field, to boot! The finishes were excellent. His decision making with the ball at his feet or on the run was excellent. His positioning in the box was excellent. The guy even defended a couple of corner kicks with his aerial game. This is exactly the striker Croatia has needed: effective finisher, good in the air, hard worker, and knows how to receive the ball from the midfield and make decisions in the defensive third. He really should be given one of those last-minute call-ups that Dalic has doled out to certain players in the past.
Let’s face it. We cooked for a long time. Be realistic and God I hope I’m wrong but our future is not well. Please don’t tell me about simic. Won’t help
Only isn’t looking good because we’ve got Dalic as the coach.
Some of Dalic’s ideas aren’t half bad, for example building a team with the strategy of possession based soccer. Which I take to be his strategy if I am right. It’s mainly the way he treats the youth and the preferential treatment of some of the older players. That’s his main downfall, and when he plays the youth he seems to have a difficult time figuring out how to integrate them into his team’s identity, which is problematic. I feel like this is why players like Majer, Sucic, and others are having a hard time actualizing themselves on the field. It is how they are being used and what kind of strategy to use these players. So when they were lumped against Bulgaria in that match it was a disaster, even though it was a friendly from what I remember. He lu.ped five people in the midfield and it was overwhelmed with presence, terrible idea.
Dalic reminds me of Bilic.
Starts very well and brings in some good fitting pieces when he first takes over the team, and develops very good relationships with players and people in general.
…but as things change over time (player form, player egos, previous strategies no longer working), he has a very difficult time implementing any changes.
At World Cup 2018, he implemented a ‘pressing’ style of offense with Mandzo up top (when many of us were convinced that Krama should be the starter after getting us in with those two goals against Ukraine).
Dalic also brought in Rebic to play RW for us as well.
This worked really well, and although he did make a few weird mistakes (like constantly subbing out Perisic early in the knockouts) this strategy was one of the main reasons for our success.
However, our Euro2021 tournament was abysmal.
People will try to sell it as a success because we squeaked into the Round of 16 in a 24-team tournament…but it was a failure.
We played terribly, and it was all from a lack of preparation from Dalic.
It looks like he may get most of it right (in terms of player selection) for this World Cup.
We have a LOT of depth and all of our key players are in form.
It will be hard for him to fuck this up, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
Colak not getting a call up is mystifying
Surely he gets a spot in the World Cup squad
Sosa playing well in a struggling side
The guys whips in a lot of accurate crosses
Hope someone can get at the end of those crosses when the World Cup arrives
Question is who is our best header up front
Unlikely to happen but I’m hoping Colak will receive a last minute call-up.
Antonio Colak is on the Nikica Jelavic career path.
– Scored well in a mid-quality (Swedish) league, but not really considered National Team caliber…
– Makes a move to Rangers, where he becomes one of the league’s leading scorers…
– He starts to get more consideration for the National Team because (despite it being just the Scottish league) he’s in good scoring form and fills a need as a big striker up top for us…
– Gain some more callups (and more exposure) with the National Team
– Gets purchase by some mid-table English team because he continues to score in the nearby Scottish league and (hopefully) for the National Team
Ya for sure has a jelavic feel
We just need a hot hand for a month, while the second coming of suker would be nice we only a wannabe for the winter
I hope he continues
No one is scoring like him for us right now. If he can get close to that for repka it would be something else
You want to build a dynasty with that thinking. Can’t we just win something. Then we will rap
Or perhaps Dado Prso. He was called up finally to the National Squad at age 29. Lots of similarities with Colak and Prso. Almost identical really
Martin Erlic has not played for Sassuolo in their last two matches, he was not even on the bench. Must be injured ? I think that Pongracic will get a call as he is on the standby list and has played a game or two for Lecce. DCC on the other hand has not played for Southampton yet. A lot of our central defenders are struggling for match time with their respective clubs and this could be a problem for Dalic in NL matches v Denmark and Austria.
and was unable to prevent the opponent from scoring 3 goals
seems he will become a joker +|
This comment reminds me of a certain Halilovic fan…
Now Halilovic was a shit player that never belonged on the Croatian team. That showed that the HNS was like most of you fans here, someone shows some promise so they rush to give him a game instead of letting him earn it, and if he couldn’t wait and didn’t want to earn it, you let him choose Bosnia, which if he could have his time again he would now do. He should be playing organised park football, he’d be first picked in most park football teams because his game is made for the park.
Not sure what you’re on about. The comment above sounds like the guy who wouldn’t shut up about the god Halilovic.
Tottenham used Perisic on right side
I know it’s not his favoured but him on right and orsic on left could be tasty
With proper support from sosa and juranovic
Agreed. Our right attacking side has been lacking for years (since Rebic was effective). Everyone we place over there is really a LW or more used to playing in the center.
They just end up drifting towards the center and we are overloaded there and have a big gap on the right side unless juranovic makes a run. Then when the other team counters, Modric usually has to cover for him at RB because he over committed. And Modric back there is not a great way to start our counters.
Perišić is such a key for us and even if he was 75% as effective on the RW as opposed to the left, that would be better than anyone else we’ve been playing there (Pasalic, Vlasic, etc). We seem stacked in central attacking mid and LW.
I still don’t know who the long term solution at RW is, but Perišić on the right is worth giving an extended shot. I remember him switching sides here and there during games for 10-15 minutes, but I want to see a longer look at that.
I think Sucic may be the option he played on the right mid pretty much as an attacking wing against Austria. He did very well and almost scored with what, I wanna say 15 mins being subbed in. I know he is traditionally a midfielder but I think it could work with him. Or if you put Perisic on the right with Sucic on the left I think you have a good set up there. Depending on what foot Sucic is comfortable with.
I know Sucic hasn’t scored that much this season but I think that will come with time, and he is still very young.
He is young, fast, and has great pace and vision on the ball, and rarely makes a bad decision, all the qualities you look for in a good player. He also has an attacking mindset which we lack. The problem I think is not these positions, it’s really the Striker and Goalie.
Conte is slowly giving Perišić more and more minutes, after his injury.
It’s only a matter of time before he’s playing the entire match in big games due to Conte’s admiration of his skill and work rate.
A pity that Sosa didn’t move earlier he can possibly have a far better year than last year but it won’t show up on the stat line.
Sasa Kaladzic was the recipient of almost all of his assists last year and with him moving to the prem ,sosa’s assist rate will no doubt Plummet with some thinking he’s having an off year mistakingly!
I picked up a bottle of Lovern’s cologne. It’s pretty good. Ladies love it.
Rumor has it the cologne was developed by Anita and has a hint of elderberry, rose hip and a large sample of Dario skoric’s sack sweat
Why do you guys suppose sosa didn’t get a move? He was linked with a few moves it seems
Not the right price at the end of the day. I’m just speculating though. Stuttgart will be fighting not to get relegated again this season. Maybe Stuttgart didn’t get the right price and agreed to use his service for 4 months and try again to sell him in winter.
He had a 20 million Euro release clause, so Stuttgart had no say in sale price.
If a team wanted Sosa for 20 million, they would have him.
The issue must have been with Sosa himself, and the contract negotiations he had with interested clubs. Maybe he didn’t get the salary he was looking for…
or maybe he didn’t want to go to a place where he wasn’t guaranteed first team football either.
His name was tied to a lot of big name clubs (Chelsea, Barca, Spurs), but these teams all had pretty strong competition on that left side.
I didn’t really get the feeling that those clubs were the best move for him. Maybe he’s waiting for a better fit.
Near the end of the transfer window, I think Sosa was set to join Inter but the move fell through because Gosens did not leave Inter as expected (was supposed to sign for Leverkusen).
Those are proper quality finishes from colak. I realize Scotland isn’t England but if there was a guy doing that In HNL he couldn’t be called up fast enough
He deserves a shot
Livaja is no where near colaks current form, love hajduk as well but facts are facts
Absolutely boggles my mind how he didn’t get a call up. What else does he need to do???
He has to be terrible like Kramaric to be called up hahahaha
Im puzzled by Dalic call ups for These 2 games. Also Biscan total cold shouldered Ljubicic!?
Dalic Wants Petkovic for starting 11
Geat to see Ivusic/Livi Juranovic Erlic Gvardiol/Sutalo Sosa Modric Broz Majer Orsic Perisic Petkovic lineup.
Where did Dalic say this?
Totally off topic but do any of you know what cleats Modric wore at he 2018 WC? Have any of you tried that style he wore?
Nike Mercurial Vapor 360…but he tore the collars off both shoes. Not sure why, I guess he likes the space around his ankles.
Agreed Ante. Colak should be called up.
Kristijan Jakic with the insurance marker for his squad. Unfortunately, his job is presently occupied by probably the best on earth at his position, namely Marcelo Brozović.
Jakic has been playing at RB a lot recently, something interesting to look into.
Yes for sure. He’s quietly have a good start to the campaign
It’s good because he is proving to being sort of a handy player for club and country if he can fill in multiple positions.
Surprised he wasn’t called up, we’re looking thin at DM for the international break.
So v Denmark Livakovic Juranovic Vid Lovren Barisic Modric Broz Kova Pasalic Kramric Perisic that is what dalic will put out hahaha.
Gvardiol finally starting again
Colak with a brace so far. Dude is playing well
