Mario Pašalić scored the equalizing goal for Atalanta in 1st half injury time Saturday in a 2-1 come-from-behind victory against Sassuolo. Pašalić received the ball in the box via short pass and had a wide open net to shoot at. He nearly scored on a half break away earlier in the half but had his shot deflected by the keeper. He played 66 minutes in the win as Atalanta now remain two points behinds leaders, Napoli, for the Serie A lead.
Luka Modrić and Real Madrid handled Barcelona 3-1 in a huge El Clasico win that will move Los Blancos to pole position in La Liga after a 3-1 victory. Modrić played 78 minutes in the win and received a 8/10 grade from ManagingMadrid as his: “class was sprinkled throughout the game. Be it a little back-heel to beat two players or deft body feint to bewilder Lewandowski and create space.”
Marin Ljubičić, who is on loan from Hajduk, is absolutely having a dream start to his season in Austria for LASK. Read full story: HERE. He now has nine goals in 10 league matches and is currently the top goal scorer in the respectable Austrian Bundesliga. Should he get the call-up to Qatar in front of a cold Ante Budimir?
Luka Sučić assisted in Red Bull Salzburg’s 3-1 win over Austria Wien Sunday. Roko Šimić came off the bench late in the 88th minute of the match.
Petar Musa scored the opening goal for Benfica vs. Caldas in a Portuguese Cup match. The match would end 1-1 but Benfica would progress through a penalty kick shootout.
So Gvardiol comes in as 6th best youngster in the world according to Copa award this year at Ballon d’or awards. Pretty impressive as defenders don’t usually feature in top 10z

Ljubičić looks hungry to score.
We need some hunger up top.
Dalic has to sack up and take some of these young studs.
Musa has that same type of hunger as well.

This is a great problem to have. Too much talent to know what to do with.
Yea, we have quite a few interesting youngsters now.
Gvardiol, Ljubicic, Sucic and Simic are all very solid prospects and are all EXTREMELY young players (all of them being 20, with Sucic just turned 20 and Roko turning 19 this past month).
We also have a collection of young-ish players (guys who are in that 21-24 age range) in Majer, Sosa, Sutalo, Erlic, Stanisic, Musa, Brekalo, Vlasic who have all been capped already and many are playing big roles at club level.
Some of these guys will end up taking a big next step over the next couple of years if they haven’t already.
I have full faith in guys like Majer, Sosa and Sutalo taking big steps forward. However, it wouldn’t surprise me if any of the other guys do the same. The talent is there.
All of the above should be getting regular callups after this World Cup, and we need to start integrating them asap.
We really need a new goalkeeper though ha ha. It’s killing me that we have such a gap in talent there compared to the rest of our squad. We’re like the European Argentina with this problem.
Gotta give time to Labrovic or Kotarski (maybe Grbic again if he can hold down the fort at Atletico). Gotta try someone new after this World Cup.
If only we had a keeper of the same level as Rulli, who is at least one first-rate Argentine keeper (I don’t follow their squad, but I do follow La Liga). If Livaković can improve or Ivusić really distinguish himself, then that’s great. Of course, going forward, Grbić should step into the role. He’s been at superior clubs, and I am sure that he gets superior training there.
Unless Dlaic Rebic make up enough of the rebic talks better chance Qatar reaching round 16 than rebic getting a call up for 2022.
I think the roster has one spot left either Brekalo CC Pongracic Jakic Misic Colak fighting for final spot i think it goes to jakic
If no injuries
Livakovic Ivusic Kalinic/Grbic
Vida Lovren Sutalo Erlic Gvardiol Juranovic Sosa Stanisic Barisic
Modric Brozovic Kovacic Sucic Vlasic Pasalic Jakic Majer
Perisic Orisic Kramaric Budimir Livaja Petkovic
nah. . .
don’t want to think about it
because of –> Dalic brings calamities
no matter how good all of the 25 players there
but bringing 1 person into the final 26 players –
only ruin all of the good things inside the team!!!
Ljubičić #9
Musa #9
I would take them both!!
A certain player that shall not be named had a smooth assist from the right wing for the winning goal for AC Milan.
Hmmm
Why not take all the explosive players we have in our talent pool and allow our technicians some space to work their magic?
Iz naša svi
Lol we have exhausted the rebic talk, he’s not coming to Qatar
Can we do a time cleanse please? It certainly would help
Actually Az, enjoy
Erlic gave so many chances to pasalic to score, to boost his confidence. in the end pasalic scored his first goal of season.
Sounds like Erlic had a poor game ?
Oh ya? I’m late to the game tonight AZ, Pasalic scored? That is v.v.v.good news
Musa scores again. I think he and Ljubicic need opportunities for the next qualifying cycle. Colak has earned a spot for Qatar and should take Budimir’s spot.
With krama sitting out and not on his A game
It’s hard to start him in Qatar but he has his past to go on
Hard to pass over both colak and ljubicic
If we come up with poor scoring and lose out in first round. It will look bad when you have two top scorers of top 10 leagues sitting at home
Tough call for dalic
Wonder what mandzo has to say about it
Surely he knows all these strikers abilities….
Ljubicic on Qatar 26 list?
Ljubicic > Budimir
Marin ljubicic another goal… currently tied atop the Austrian bundesliga in goals!
Also borna sosa with another assist in a huge win for stuttgart
Make it two for ljubicic
