Luka Modrić and Real Madrid are Copa del Rey champions! Modrić returned from injury to play the last 15 minutes of the match as Real Madrid defeated Osasuna 2-1. This is Real Madrid’s first Copa del Rey win in 9 years. They now face Manchester City this week in the 1st Leg of the Champions League semifinals.
Dion Drena Beljo scored the game-winner for Augsburg in a 1-0 win over Union Berlin Saturday. Beljo volleyed home a long cross from the sideline. This is now Beljo’s second Bundesliga goal in the past four weeks. Heating up?
Andrej Kramarić scored the game-winning goal off a penalty kick Saturday in a 3-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. The victory moves Hoffenheim four points clear of the Bundesliga relegation zone.
Marcelo Brozović warned a 8.5 grade from CultofCalcio.com ion a huge 2-0 Inter Milan victory over Roma. The win moves Inter back into the top-four with four matches remaining in the Serie A season. “Seemingly every time Inter attacked, Brozović was the architect. The midfielder dished out passes of all shapes and sizes, creating chances on the dribble, by playing quick combinations and by releasing counter attacks.”
Nikola Vlašić bagged an assist and received MOTM honors (7.8 FOTMOB) in Torino’s 1-1 draw against Monza on Sunday.
Joško Gvardiol did not play Saturday (knock) as RB Leipzig moved up to 3rd place win Germany with a huge 1-0 win over Freiburg.
Josip Juranović played all 90 minutes in Union Berlin’s 1-0 loss to Augsburg Saturday. Union Berlin and Freiburg now share 4th place on the Bundesliga table (both on 56 points).
As Z mentioned below, Roko Simic was on the scoresheet for FC Zurich in a 2-0 win at Basel. Here’s a video of the foul leading to the penalty (Simic’s colleague with a dive) and Simic converting the spot kick.

It was a bad-tempered match that produced 9 yellows and 4 reds. Simic came on in the 79′ and scored during stoppage time (90+1′) to put his team 1-0 up. True it’s only a penalty but I like that he managed to put it away under pressure.
Hope the dude will keep his chin up!

Hmm… not sure if said podcast is already recorded? Anyways this is in response to the above tweet asking for our picks for top 5 under 21 players. Please, can someone help me send it to Matt Lebo aka TheGoldenChild? I don’t have a Twitter account unfortunately!
1. Matin Baturina
2. Matija Frigan
3. Luka Sucic
4. Lukas Kacavenda
5. Gabriel Vidovic
Dejan Lovren with a lovely header to get his side back into the game which Lyon eventually won 5-4.
Simic got on the board for Zurich, albeit it was a penalty. Nonetheless, nice to see him playing.
Milan Badelj scored for his side yesterday. Genoa one and done in Serie B. Badelj keeps on ticking .
Here’s is some advice for lube!!!!
I think lube con should be the coach at his mental institution.. he can pretend people care about his world class and decent player rankings. 😆 lube con
What the fuck are you ever talking about?
You are a “world class” weirdo man. Get some help soon..copying players names from Wikipedia and pretending you know who they are or have even seen them play is getting old. It’s obvious you don’t know soccer or how to even read or write.
Your list and comments are nonsense
And you are a hater. Nobody cares about your BS. You are like a rambling “decent”homeless. Do yourself a favor.. stop
Lol what the hell is this tier system? World class, silver? What does my dear life have to do with this? You’re really talented at wiki research.
Beljo’s a presence in the box.
Just what we need.
I’ve yet to watch him play besides highlights
Who does he most remind you of, repka strikers of old?
Igor Cvitanović
Luka kova and broz gonna boss in June like always
Kova is the only one we can say is not true world class
But has been pushing for it especially with his repka play
And that’s the istina friends
Perisic doing his thing right now
Maybe beljo gets some time in June or probably has to wait for next batch of euro qualifiers??
JJ on wing with stani behind him
We need to try this at least in the next round
Kova is world class
And there are people on this site saying that Brozovic is not a world class player…cough…
Apparently if you don’t score one thousand goals a season your not capable of being world class. Great logic here.
Marcelo Brozovic (C) – 8 (MOTM): With Brozovic picking up form after a long-term injury, so too is Inter. Integral to the team, a machine and the brains.
I think the thing with broz is he can have a stinker here and there like Perisic
Luka is largely immune to these but how many Lukas are there or ever been?
He’s doing his best to over take xavi and iniesta and even Zidane
Well this is the problem when people don’t understand the role of certain players.
Modric on the bench!
Beljo with the winner today

Nice finish as well.
Nice finish!!
Beljo going to take over musas current role as next young hopeful if he finishes the season strong
