Andrej Kramarić scored in the 1st minute of Hoffenheim’s 3-1 win over Koln on Saturday, cleaning up the the trash in front of a busy penalty box following a corner kick. Krama received an 8.1 FOTMOB rating as Hoffenheim sit only one point behind Bundesliga leaders, Bayer Leverkusen, after four matches. Watch Kramarić goal here.
Ivan Perišić came on for Spurs in the 80′ down 1-0. He supplied the equalizing assist to Richarlison in the 98th minute off a corner and would supply a ‘hockey assist’ on the winner two minutes later to defeat Sheffield United 2-1. Perišić received an 8/10 grade by Football London as “The Croatian also showed how much he can affect matches, grabbing the assist with his corner for Richarlison and then his quick flick put the Brazilian away to set up the winner.”
Luka Ivanušec scored his 1st goal in Holland as Feyenoord demolished Heerenveen 6-1 on Saturday. Ivanušec confidently dribbled into the box, cut to his right, and sent a strong right-footed shot to the far post while falling down. He received a 7.6 rating (FOTMOB) and played 71 minutes in the match.
Petar Musa scored the opening goal of the game for Benfica Saturday and received MOTM honors with an 8.4 FOTMOB rating. Musa received the ball at the penalty spot, set, and had his shot deflected into the back of the net. His confidence is growing in Portugal; he simply needs ample playing time for the Vatrni to showcase his skills. Maybe during November Euro 2024 qualifiers?
Dominik Livaković was in goal for Fenerbahce’s 3-2 victory over Antalyaspor. Although he conceded twice, neither were his fault as his Fenerbahce defense left him high and dry on both goals. The first was a 1:1 breakaway and the second was poor defense that lead to a turnover and perfect shot in the box.
Lovro Majer assisted in Wolfburg’s 2-1 victory over Union Berlin. Josip Juranović came off the bench in the 73′ for Berlin.
Mateo Kovačić was not part of the Man City squad in their 3-1 win over West Ham (knock) Saturday. Joško Gvardiol got the start and played 90 minutes in the match; receiving a yellow card. Gvardiol received a 6/10 grade from 90min.com as he was “Stellar in possession, but West Ham had success breaking down Gvardiol’s flank, especially in the first half.”
Borna Sosa assisted in Ajax’s 3-1 loss to FC Twente. Both Sosa and Josip Šutalo started for Ajax on the backline for 90 minutes. With the loss, Ajax sit 7 points behind leaders PSV Eindhoven in the young season.
Anyone watch Hajduk today?
I see that Roko Brajković got his first start for them (but was subbed at the half).
How was he?
He’s a potential one for us on that right side in the future.
None of the hajduk juniors have any potential as national team players. Not one.
Sounds to me like Davor may have been rejected himself in the past! Did you try out for Hajduk and lose an opportunity? You have a lot of hate, it seems like the only possible reason for that much hate. You must be an angry Dalmatinac from Istra!
And typical hajduk today with their loss. Still wish we had their fan base, but dalamatinci are born losers to begin with. I have a few die hard hajduk friends and just laugh at them. When you are starting a Canadian kid, that means your club is laughable. haha
Your annoying. I am starting to think you are a born loser. It’s why your an Istrijanac and routing for Dinamo. Your team can’t win anything either. Atleast Hajduk was successful at one point, cannot say the same for Istra as a soccer team outside of one cup maybe.
You’re annoying *
So if he was American would you still feel the same Davor?
WAS Bayern laughable starting DAVIES?
What an idiotic statement!
Same thing…..An American in HNL…That will mean you have a bad team. Hajduk has some American kid and a Canadian kid. No wonder they have no talent. They have to rely on N. America for help
Your a douchebag Davor, a really big one lol! The American on the Hajduk team is playing exceptionally well (I believe he has been out due to injury). As it seems Livaja is having an off start, coming after two very successful seasons for him. Your opinion shows nothing other than your hate for Hajduk and thing Dalmatian. Same when it comes to your comments about Dalmatinci. Your Tata probably taught you to think this way, just like any other idiot out there who thinks along these same lines. People who who think that where your from the North or South makes all the difference in your validity as a Croatian… it’s a whole lot of nonsense. Not to mention that all of us were born outside of Croatia, or atleast the majority of us on this site. This also makes your comments seem even more stupid, and even less driven by logic.
100% agree. Davor…your posts are so fucking annoying. I don’t know any Istrian’s personally, but sincerely hope that most are not like you. ALL Hrvati that I know respect and appreciate all regions of our beautiful Domovina.
Sure they do. Istra is a great place. So, lets keep it that way.
Yes, because HNL is doing so well on the global market other than developing talent to sell this year in European soccer.
@Davor
So what we have here is a “Croat” born in Croatia, that laughs at those that weren’t born in Croatia, while at the same time calling other Croats born in Croatia “born losers.”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 what a winner
I watched Rijeka vs Osijek yesterday and Pjaca looked great. He could have easily had a goal in the first half. Osijek could not stop him yesterday. Main thing yesterday played without fear for his knee. Went hard in on challenges and was very direct with his dribbling. Now he’s not as fast but still has descent pace.
He looked great because this is HNL
Lol yes only hnl but to bad he suffered those knee injuries. What a player he could have been. So we should just discount any good performances in hnl as the league sucks.
I hope he can regain his old form. I am not hopeful because having many knee injuries means some days are better than others. If he plays like this for 3 months then we can talk more
@ Davor
I see you still have that small island, little boy mentality..
Guys I know we are always saying whose gonna come up and be a striker and this and that
But we have all sorts of potential guys putting up performances here and it would be complete silent weekends from our boys in the mid 2010s and we were still ok
Really happy for ivanusec. He kind of went MIA for a bro and now he is legit becoming someone who will probably make a step up in a year or two to a high end team
I believe he along with stanisic are two guys that will keep us at least solid for years to come
Where as a guy like vlasic has not only seemed to peak but seems to be degrading
Saw one of the pjaca goals… super powerful. He is probably one of the main guys we will always ask” what if “on for years to come
I still wonder if he could be converted into a striker
He always seemed to have a nose for goal
He is in his late 20s. That is not going to happen.

Musa scored again. He put Benfica 1-0 up in the 9th min in an away match at Vizela. His team won 2-1 in the end. A bit of a lucky goal but this keeps Musa in goalscoring form and again he started and played the majority of the match (86 minutes). He missed a big chance in the 63rd min but thankfully it wasn’t costly and credit to Vizela keeper Buntic (fellow Croat) for making the save.

Luka Sucic is back! And he seems to be in good shape. He entered the Sturm Graz vs Salzburg game in the 73rd min when the score was tied 2-2 and went looking for the winner. In the 79th min, he swiveled past an opposing player and fired a powerful shot from outside the box that the Sturm Graz keeper did well to save.

Sucic also took a free kick in injury time. Sofascore says he completed 5 out of 5 passes and 1 out of 1 dribble attempt. Game ended all square but let’s hope Sucic will quickly shake off the rust and rev up his engine in the coming weeks 🙂
Great to hear that Sučić is back and playing well.
The good news about having all this depth is that if he even falls asleep for a bit during his recovery to 100% fitness…he’ll lose his spot to guys like Ivanušec, Baturina or even Vidović.
It happened to Vlašić, and it’ll happen to Majer (if he doesn’t have a strong bounceback season).
Sučić had better do whatever it takes (roids, HGH, whatever) to get back to where he was or he’ll end up at Rijeka just like the rest of the what if’ crew.
Yeah this is what I love about our midfield depth! None of these young mids can afford to rest on their “laurels”.
Lol, roids and all that good stuff… (suddenly brings to mind the older Vuskovic and hoping the poor fella can clear his name soon.)

I don’t see much point in trying out different goalies unless you are tyring to figure out who is number 2 in the pecking order….but that doesn’t really matter
it doesn’t matter how good those other goalies may play in qualifiers, it will be impossible for livakovic to be replaced
after the world cup, nations league, and croatians recent run…he has is now the goalie
it will require him to put up some debacles to be replaced any time soon
I don’t mind trying out some of the young guys but generally have a preference for rotating 1 or 2 in with the main guys rather than 5 of them all at once. this way we can see how they actually play with the real guys.
Very solid weekend for our guys so far. A potentially interesting development is Marko Pjaca at Rijeka. He scored 2 very nice goals in a 2-1 win vs. a solid Osijek team. He looked very good with the ball. Not too slow and aggressive. It’s just one game so we can’t get ahead of ourselves, and while we are loaded on the left wing, Pjaca did play on the right for us quite a few times and did well.
Vidovic and Ivanusec with debut goals. Kramaric goal, Majer assist, Perisic assist, Marin Ljubicic goal, another Petkovic goal, even Halilovic killed it today with a goal and an assist (and a 9.9 rating from sofascore with 8 key passes and 5 shots on target) granted it was one of the worst teams in the league, but he wasn’t too bad when I watched him vs. Ajax. I don’t hold my breath with Halilovic anymore, but who knows.
Something else to think about is something I’ve seen a lot of people saying. We can qualify for the Euros next month with two wins. We would then play Latvia away and Armenia at home. I definitely want us to top the group, but we should definitely be rotating at least 5 players into the lineup and depending on how the games are going, test out some other guys off the bench.
The types of players we should be playing are the younger/fringe players that don’t really get a chance to break into the team. We need a right winger, I’d be interested to see Marco Pasalic there from Rijeka as he is pretty young having just turned 23 and is a natural right winger. Pjaca has a chance to get into the team if he stays healthy and stays in form. Give some serious minutes to whichever of our younger strikers are playing the best come that time (Musa, Beljo, Frigan, Roko Simic, Marin Ljubicic), trying out Kotarski or Labrovic in goal for one of the games as Livakovic still has those hiccups just not as frequently, try out another defensive mid so that we have a back up for Brozo (Josip Misic, Nikola Moro, Kristijan Jakic), and depending on how they are playing come November, Baturina and/or Luka Sucic should get some minutes.
Ivanusec got his first for Feyenoord in a 6-1 route
Why didn’t Mateo not start? Is he hurt, he sat last 2 qualifiers
Muscle injury –
Vidovic first goal for Dinamo! This could end up being a great loan for the kid and Dinamo!

Too bad Bayern put a buy-back clause in that contract.
They know he has potential to be a very good player, so they didn’t want to see him blow up at Dinamo and watch Dinamo sell him for 20+ million Euro.
No doubt, I think it’s good for him to spend extended time in hrvatska playing in the HNS (and potentially his international stadium for many years)… they should take care of him at Dinamo and help him develop even if they can’t put a price tag around his neck! Hell, maybe if this works out Bayern would be willing to buy more Croatians and loan them right to Dinamo, or even other young international prospects that can help Dinamo get back to winning..
