Andrej Kramarić converted a 22′ penalty kick for Hoffenheim in a 2-0 victory over Union Berlin Saturday. This is now Krama’s third goal in the first five matches of the young Bundesliga season. Hoffenheim have impressed to start their German campaign; grabbing 12 points from a possible 15 thus far. Josip Juranović got the start for Union Berlin and played the full 90 minutes. He received a 8.1 rating (FOTMOB) for his efforts in the loss.
Super-sub Mario Pašalić came off the bench for Atalanta in the 67th minute and supplied an insurance goal nine minutes later to lock up a 2-0 victory over Cagliari. Pašalić rocked a shot off the bottom-right post into goal. This is his first goal of the Serie A season.
Petar Musa is making the best of his starts for Benfica in the Portuguese top flight this season. Musa scored his third goal of the season Sunday in only his 5th domestic match. Musa ran right to the middle of the box on a counter-attack and slotted home a pass from the left flank. The goal would put Benfica up 2-0 in the 1st half and they would win the match 3-1. Musa was subbed off at halftime.
Joško Gvardiol played the full 90 minutes for 10-man Manchester City in a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest. Gvardiol received a 7/10 grade from ManchesterEveningNews as he was “Loose with the ball a couple of times in the first half but stood strong after the break, moving infield as more of a natural centre-back after Rodri’s sending off.” Mateo Kovačić was not listed on the squad as he nurses a minor back injury. He is expected to return next weekend vs. Wolves.
Both Borna Sosa and Josip Šutalo got the start for Ajax in a match that was abandoned in the 2nd half versus Feyenoord, ESPN reports. With Ajax down 3-0 in the 56th minute, the referee abandoned the match as Ajax supporters (in their own home stadium) threw flares on the pitch for a second time. No injuries were reported as Ajax struggle to start the Dutch on the right foot. Ajax have only earned five points from their first four matches of the season.
Luka Sučić got the start for Red Bull Salzburg Saturday and played 65 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Linz. Sučić is coming off knee surgery so this is a great sign early in the season. Roko Šimić was not part of the Salzburg side after scoring in Champions League for them this week.
Josip Brekalo got the start and played 65 minutes for Fiorentina in a 2-0 victory over Udinese. He received a 6.9 FOTMOB rating for his efforts. Dalić is currently shopping for a left-winger so we will need to keep our eye on Brekalo.
Ive watched all 3 games that sosa and sutalo played together …. its not looking good. They both look really bad. not sure what’s going on but… yikes.
I have watched Ajax also (thanks to ESPN+). I can’t say that I have ever paid any attention to the Dutch Eredivisie before this season. I was surprised at the intensity of the Ajax v Feyenoord match. With regard to our defenders, Sutalo was not at fault for the first goal. He was covering after the right back got beat to the ball and the striker was not closely tracked as he ran into box. Sosa was not involved. Second goal was purely a howler by the right back, with neither Sutalo or Sosa at fault. Right back was pulled at 30 minute mark. Third goal was from a counter after Ajax corner. Sosa’s shot from top of box was blocked that lead to swift counter. Sosa’s decision to shoot was probably the wrong one. Match was suspended for flares on the pitch. There is sure to be a huge shake up at Ajax now.
I guess ante budimir is no longer of value to the NT?
He never was
Ok, so I was formerly known as Thomas Erdody but have know taken the username Poglavnik from the Canadian gentleman who previously used it.
It seems the minority that founded this site (the same that didn’t want Croatia at the 2018 WC) is against the majority.
Ceo is a deceiver.
John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him: and without him was made nothing that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 17:3-5
Now this is eternal life: That they may know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now glorify thou me, O Father, with thyself, with the glory which I had, before the world was, with thee.
Ceo walketh in darkness, this is why he doesn’t understand what was the glory that Jesus Christ “had, before the world was.”
Lol the email account I give doesn’t even exist.
Anyone remember what the ombudsman Ziva Istina (or was it The truth?) said about Tudjman and his 200 families?
Why is everyone freaking about our Left side?
Ivanušec is going to be our left winger. He played there when Perišić was slotted back at LB and Ivanušec did just fine.
Unless I am mistaken, Ivanušec did not break anything and is only expected to be out a month, so he’ll miss the October round of qualifiers, but he’ll be back in time for November and that LW spot will be his to lose for the Euros.
It’ll be an Ivanušec-Petković-Kramarić trio up top (unless one of our young strikers goes on a tear and pushes one of them out).
Jesus worships Father (the only true God)
We worship the same God Jesus worship
Dalic needs to put the best 11 nogometaši on the field in October.
We have ZERO replacements for Perišić.
Oršić injured.
Rebić banned.
Pjaca ?
Breaklo ?
I actually would put Juranovic at LW. He is energetic and loves to attack for Berlin.
Stanisic is ready at RB.
Gvardiol is ready at LB.
Erlic and Šutalo are towering at CB’s.
Our midfield is world class, actually enjoying Brozovic playing 5D chess in Saudi Arabia.
Musa and Simic are scoring.
Petković is skilled and go for a 60/30 split.
Pasalic is ready to score always.
Kramaric is a world class finisher.
Dalic has to think who are best 11 and then work tactical tweaks from there.
Perišić actually has been our most dynamic player for the last decade.
Like to see Modrić in a 10 role like he is playing today with Madrid.
Let Kovačić and Brozovic deal with with life behind him as a double pivot.
4-2-1-3
JJ – Petkovic – Kramaric
Modrić
Brozovic – Kovačić
Gvardiol – Erlic – Sustalo – Stanisic
Livakovic
Subs:
Musa
Šimić
Sosa
Pasalic
Ivanusec
Time to maximize the talent.
Juranovic at LW? How many times has he played in that spot? My god
Please stop with Gvardiol at LB please as well as Juranovic at LW
Looks like Vidovic is having quite the game, two assists and one goal. I know it’s Rudes but that is quite the start for him. Hopefully he can continue to build on this great start.

Musa with another start and another goal.
Pasalic with a goal against Cagliari.

Lovely goal as well.
Was he playing on the left wing?
I believe he substituted with the left side striker, so the left wing I believe. Lookman plays on the left and Pasalic was substituted with Lookman.
Not sure why I said left side striker there ..I meant left wing.
Having watched Atalanta many times, especially the year before the previous Euro tournament (which was coincidentally Pasalic’s stand out season). I remember seeing him play many times in the left wing position so I am not sure what Davor and some other people are saying here. Pasalic could definitely be slotted into that position. I don’t think anyone is saying he will be as good as Perisic, but then again who knows it’s never been tried. Dalic has always relied on Perisic and for good reasons I am sure, Perisic is nothing short of a fantastic player and he owned that positions in so many ways and over so many years. Perisic is a very dynamic winger on that side. But that does not mean Pasalic wouldn’t be a good fit there. Pasalic provided tons of service in that game against Spain, in the previous Euro Tournament, and he also scored a fantastic header that put us back in it if from what I remember.
Now you start to make a little sense. Good for you. Before Euros he did play on left side. Last two seasons he has not. He is majority middle and to the right.
He didn’t play on the left side. He doesn’t play on the left side. You should watch the games to comment. Play central to the right the entire time he came in. People need to stop talking when they dont understand
Could krama play on the left wing? JJ on the right?
I know it’s really messing things but with Perisic gone we need to get hot guys out there
I feel like JJ and stanisic could work well on that right side
He’s got the speed, tenacity and can throw in crosses
He’s started the season pretty strong it seems
Some sort of basterdized left side with maybe orsic if coming back
Ivanusec, krama(I know it’s not his natural side)
Who else is taking this Perisic injury super harsh?
I guess all the hajduk guys were right, should have went home
My first time able to post since hearing of Perišić’s injury- just devastated by it. When Perišić wasn’t scoring or assisting on goals, he was causing trouble for the opponents. Threatening and forcing other teams to focus more attention and energy on him, which in my mind, helped open things up a little for our other players, and as the result, he will be very difficult to replace.
Also, Rodri got a straight red (I think that means an automatic 3 game suspension), so they’re really gonna need Kovacic to come back soon.
I thought Gvardiol did well for city. Yes, he had 2 “loose passes”, but other than that he was very good. After they went down to 10 men, he was solid defensively, cool under pressure. He was moved to a centre-back position in the second half, and slotted in perfectly.
