More than 30,000 members of Torcida, citizens of Split and supporters of other Croatian clubs gathered on the Splitska Riva Saturday afternoon in protest of the HNS (Croatian Soccer Federation).
Maybe the Croatian flare throwing in Milan was just the beginning of having their voices heard. We’ve known for years how bad the HNL and HNS have been run, but now Croatian citizens are stepping forward in their frustration and disgust of Dinamo Zagreb general manager Zdravko Mamić and HNS president Davor Šuker.
“HNS are just like mafia and they do whatever they want: bans, blacklists, repressions, matches behind closed doors, point deductions and not caring about Croatian football at all,” is what most Croatian fans had to say about the HNS.
Last week, a large minority of Torcida members were not allowed into Maksimir for the Hajduk/Dinamo match. In protest, both Torcida and Hajduk Split left the stadium, only to return to Poljud in Split to sing, party and show their solidarity.
More to come from the protests in the upcoming week…
Hoće Josipović!!!
@Ivan P……..respect. I appreciate you coming here and not tying to sell something. A while back we had some wanna be diaspora rapper/hip hop guy who came asking for cash. Not cool and he has since moved on.
good luck with it IvanP

Nije Mussolini, nije Tito, e neće ni Mamić!’
Hey Everyone,
This is not soccer or sports related but I wanted to share something with my fellow Hrvati.
I’m a Montreal Actor and Filmaker and just released my first feature film entitled “Too Tall”.
All of this was done independently and at my own cost. I have been working on this for the last 4 years. I hope you can find the time to check it out.
Thanks in advance!

@ Kreso
cool story bro
@Armada
when I was a kid Hajduk came to Melbourne and played a few games and I do remember them tearing the red star of their shirts in front of the cameras which was a pretty big deal back then. Don’t know what happened when they got back home, I like all Cro teams and I thought it was pretty fuken cool.
Hajduk could always switch back to their “traditional” grb….

Cool videos, better idea than the flares if you want to get your point heard by others.
lol I said his argument is dumb. If someone says something stupid i’ll call them out on it. And if you can’t tell how much I’m taking the piss then I don’t know what to tell you champ. But you probably think we really do ride kangaroos in Australia.
@MelbCro-You tend to be a very argumentative individual, chill a bit.You dont have to agree or like what Doktor Prle wrote, but you tend to jump in with the old “you are stupid”accusation very quickly on things.Chill a bit.
someone posted this comment on xtratime.org and its pretty eye opening
“kas zivot poskupi – nema protest, drzavnici kradu hrvatsku – nema protesta, ukine se prava braniteljima – nema protesta ( bar ne takve razine), hajduka kradu sitni lopovi godinama – nema protesta
hajduku nejde isklucivo njihovom krivicm – protest
ajde molim te
Micanje Mamica i Sukera ( mada se to nece dogoditi barem ne ovakvim nacinom) nece ojacati Hajduk niti oslabiti Dinamo I Rijeku ( ni Zagreb :=P “

@ melbcro
UDBA is like the dark side, and it’s alive and well lurking within Torcida….
Missed the point completely, I was showing the absurdity of your comment with my references to dinamo. Went right over your head. My issues is with you disparaging the revolt as a whole because of certain individuals. Stupid. I happily support the stand being taken in Split just as I support what the BBB has been doing.
How old are you doktor? I want to know which American president to blame.
Too astounded by your idiocy to be mad. You read my posts critical of “torcida” and started ranting about dinamo. Like Pavlov’s dogs…
Binar
You sound mad Doktor? Maybe you should let off some steam, I hear there are some riots in ferguson?
Butt-hurt MelbCro reverting to ad hominem attacks. Good on you, mate. Good on you!
@ Croatia vs. Antwerp
I think the black guy in the trailer is meant to represent allowing Sammir into the repka.
@ Doktor
I have no doubt in my mind that certain elements of Torcida are using this issue to push a Yugoslav agenda. It’s no coincidence that Nov 29 (out of all the days of the year) was selected.
It’s only a matter of time before these Yugoslavs rise up again. Kinda like the Return of the Empire and the Dark Side in the new Star Wars movie…
The only mistake made is with the mental asylum you are currently residing in that gives you daily internet access.
What you need is a better command of the English language. I was quite precise in my initial post.
30.000 people do not organize a protest. Only a handful of people do. I’ve listed those people (some of them; there are more).
It’s apparent that you don’t understand English very well. For if you did, you’d be able to discern that I was extremely careful not to generalize. Or maybe you don’t know what words like “monolithic,” “certain,” “led by,” etc. mean.
You jumped the gun, MelbCro. It’s okay. This isn’t a pissing contest. We’re all allowed to make mistakes.
Fake Dr
By the way Doktor, I’ve never shovelled kangaroo shit in my life. We are usually to busy riding them, while we chase dingoes away from stealing our babies.
@Ziva
I can understand the issue of questionable individuals. But he quite clearly equated the revolt happening in Split against the HNS with being anti-Croatian, and then calling out those who support it. If he has a different point to make then he needs to express himself properly using the written word, would be better instead of referring to himself in the third person
@MelbCro……I think you are missing the good doctor’s point that some within Torcida are using this for their own agenda. His comments were not about dinamo vs hajduk issue.
MelbCro, cease and desist before you embarrass yourself any further.
Exactly what led you to think that I’m a Dinamo supporter? Ahh, another genius with a binary thought process.
Like I said, refer to my older posts, and you’ll see what Doktor Prle writes about. Stop shoveling kangaroo-shit and stop with the aspersions. You know not what you speak of.
You think there aren’t people who are Yugos at Dinamo? Your argument is silly and has no purpose other than to divert from the real issues. Honest question, you a yank Doktor? If so then I think obamacare has fucked your brain buddy.
No, Melbcro. I I wear an anti-Yugo hat. Hajduk isn’t doing anything with any agenda. Refer to my older posts regarding hajduk/dynamo if that interests you.
I’ve already listed the members in and around Hajduk that have an anti-Croat agenda. No need to generalize.
I’ve already stated clearly that Torcida isn’t monolithic. And, unfortunately, certain members that are currently pulling the strings are vehemently anti-Croatian.
A question was posed………What’s the common goal that bonds Ljubo Pavasovic, Drazen Lalic, Aleksandar Holiga, and the likes of Ziva Istina?………………….they also live in their mom’s basement?????? Only thing I can come up with.
@poglavnik…….listen, wishful thinking on my part. But, if one those mental midgets had the balls to do something like that, they would go down with a hero-like status in Cro. I just want the theater show to continue.
What a dumb argument Doktor, seriously. Whats wrong with you. Seriously suggesting that Hajduk are doing this with a Yugo, anti-Croat agenda? Do you wear a tin foil hat?
I can make arguments about Dinamo being a commie club too. Hajduk was founded in 1911 by Croatian nationalists in order to make a nationalist statement and support Croatian independence from the Austro-Hungarian Empire. While Dinamo was founded in 1945 by the communist regime, founded on the ashes of the previous nationalist clubs. Based on that I can easily then lead to arguing that Dinamo have a Yugo agenda and are undermining Croatia at the moment. But that would be fucking dumb
Btw, Simunic grew up as a Hajduk fan? Must be a Yugo then right? lol
And, for the record, not ONE member of Torcida’s old guard – the group that revived Torcida in 1981 – supports this revolt.
The old guard was/is staunchly anti-Yugoslav, pro-Croatia, pro- ZA DOM SPREMNI and extreme nationalist.
And for those of you that don’t know what 29.11. signifies:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2duyqK2xc8
No, the demonstration on Split’s Riva wasn’t held on that day by sheer coincidence.
Certain members of “Torcida” paid tribute to deceased Pave Grubisic-“Cabo,” former member of “Torcida” who was an outspoken Yugoslav and proponent of leftism (No, neo-Torcida isn’t monolithic; it has Yugoslav and leftwing and Serb elements) on Saturday.
All on November 29th. Extremely significant.
Don’t believe the Doktor? Read here:
http://www.slobodnadalmacija.hr/Spektar/tabid/94/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/266101/Default.aspx
There is more going on then meets the eye. The “revolt” should not be supported because it is being led by renowned anti-Croats, Yugoslavs and other subversive elements. No, this is not to say that the HNS shouldn’t be cleaned up. It should.
But not by overt Yugoslavs and traitors to the Croatian state and Croatian football. And not by those who condemn Croatian patriotic chants, slogans and iconography (they are anti-Joe Simunic).
DOWN WITH THOSE who refuse to PLAY in the HNL, for they’d rather play in FSJ or FSS.
@Ivica-ROFL with the comments on Torcida being the popular girl and about ugly BBBetty.
@Ziva
“Now, how great would it be if we had members on the repka who were mentally strong and refused to play until all the trash was removed.”
Yeah right!
You really think you could even get a handful of players that would sacrifice their dreams of playing at a Euro or a WC for the greater good of the game back home?
I still don’t believe a clean HNS or HNL will ever be a reality.
“Down with the entire HNS?????”
What federation would you replace it with? 😉
What’s the common goal that bonds Ljubo Pavasovic, Drazen Lalic, Aleksandar Holiga, and the likes of Ziva Istina?
HINT: Not the ZDS lifestyle.
Said demonstration was held on November 29th. Should be clear to all what that date represents.
Miss the HNL? What would I do with my weekend mornings without it?
Down with the entire HNS…….and if that means more actions by our fans that leads to the repka being penalized, then I am comfortable with that. When you live the “za dom spremni” lifestyle as I do and some of you do, then you are ok with short term pain for long term gain. Now, how great would it be if we had members on the repka who were mentally strong and refused to play until all the trash was removed .
hey never mind who did who first… as long as the ball is rolling.
everyone knows about the BBB struggles but torcida just helping to spread the word. its all good as long as the end is the result we all want
but i want to know is who will run it if indeed change happens… and yes i can read some cro but i don’t read all the articles so inform the ignorant ones
i know before some of you talked about boban and simic…
Holy Santa Clause shit at least you finally admit who was first. You guys are just backpedaling hypocrites, well, 95% at least.
Ante, it’s not that.
It’s just that Torcida is more lovable than BBB. Torcida is like the popular girl in school. When she does something, everyone follows, even if Ugly BBBetty was doing it first.
😉
Ante B , shut up
Because you retards were either against them or too ignorant to listen. Then you scolded the boycott, then you all said Mamic was too strong. Now odjednom Torca ovo, Torca ono. Ma fuck off svi redom
Shhh Bobby. You’ll piss off Ante B.
Hajduk and its fans have done more in one week to bring attention to the mafia running the HNS than the Bad Blue Boys have done in 10 years.
Legit question…….if the remainder of the HNL season was suspended or canceled, would you miss it? I don’t think anyone would miss it.

The last time Maksimir was full for croatia game other than the srbija game!
Oni bi tili da se ne čuje naš glas
i novim zakonima udaraju nas,
al svaki udarac nas jača to poručujemo mi
sve do kraja mi ćemo se boriti,
Kontra zakona,kontra zabrana,
njima u dišpet neka gori bengalka
jer u njoj gori naša želja to poručujemo mi,
sve do kraja mi ćemo se boriti!
I think Ziva mentioned this in the other post but 30,000 people? 30,000 people don’t show up in an entire seasons worth of HNL games. These people are really trying to make a statement. Good on them.
