36 year-old Marin Čilić has defeated #4 ranked Jack Draper in 4 sets in London. This is a huge, huge victory for Čilić so late in his career. He is currently ranked #83 in the world and has not played Wimbledon tennis since 2021 due to injuries and surgeries. Čilić has made a resurgence in 2025, winning ATP Challenger tournaments in Girona, Spain and Nottingham, United Kingdom to climb back into the world top-100 rankings. After the win versus Draper (and as I write this article), Čilić currently sits at #74 in the world which means he will automatically earn main draw invitations later this year as the tennis season heads to hard courts in North America and the US Open.
Čilić will next face #50 ranked Spaniard Jaume Munar in the Wimbledon 3rd Round on Saturday. This is a winnable match for the big-hitting Čilić. Two more wins would put him on a collision course with Djoković in the quarterfinals.
Another game, another contribution by Marco Pasalic. Orlando came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Charlotte, with Marco netting the equalizer in the 80′.

Hvala ti brate moj, always good to hear your opinion. I hope Fruk can reach the next level and become an NT caliber player. Not sure if the comparison is fair but I sense Fruk has more potential than midfielders who shone only in HNL like Caktas or Andrijasevic…
Any way now or later to download the Thompson concert ?
I hope this article is true and not just a rumour:

Disappointing turn of events for Stanisic, gbvh. He seems to have some bad luck with injuries.
Hamstring. At least it was not that knee.
I thought he had played well.
Hopefully it has just tightened up, and nothing that nags him for long, maybe just a day-to-day thing, maybe a week.
Bayern had started well overall….
Uh-oh… this feels like a repeat of last year when he was injured at the start of the season. Hope it’s just a minor muscle pull.
Thanks for the update, A Tin U.
First half, Stanisic just limped off.
Anyone know if they’re streaming the concert??
My parents disappointed to learn it’s not on Cro TV after all the hype. I’ve been watching the Black Sabbath event all day.
How is the Sabbath thing @gbvh?
My friend is going to the concert. Pictures look pretty crazy.

Midget killer!
The best thing about this was all the gushing media over Draper before the tourney started. The english media had basically already given him the title so this was yet another reality check dished out to those annoying pommy whingers but a Croat who is simply of superior talent. Lovely.
Also, Frigan joining Pink Pandur at Hull for 10m (but will initially be a loan with obligation to buy, as Hull just handed a 3 window ban for missing a 1m payment to Villa on a loaned player, which they are appealing)
Is there a conflict Saturday b/w Thompson and the DZ friendly ?
Can DZ reschedule ??
Maminjo will be jumping up and down as Bati has someone to aim for now
Nicolas Kuhn for 19m from Celtic
x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1940951990072451481
Also
Como 27m for LW Jesus Rodriguez from Real Betis
and
14m for RW Jayden Addai from AZ (he was on the bench vs. Sp*rs in October and in March wasn’t in the squad as out injured w/ his ankle, so Anonymous as no view)
There really won’t be any excuse for Bati not to rack up the #s this year, with all this very good talent around him in the front end of the pitch
I love tennis …fuzzy balls and all
I don’t think that many people thought that Marin could beat Draper. Superb match by Marin, looked great in the first two sets, lost the third but finished him off in the fourth. Good to see his wife and two small boys watching him play.
I just hope that he does not let us down and flops against Munar who probably prefers clay than grass ?
Vekic the other day was a huge disappointment losing to Busca from Spain ranked 102.
Nice, anything is possible: With a Croatia heart, and fighting spirit , it is a truth we believe in. Tennis can be a lonely business, and you have to have belief to win.
