It’s no secret that Dinamo Zagreb have been in “sale mode” all summer long: Šutalo, Livaković, Ivanušec all gone. With money coming in and talent heading out, the million dollar question on everyone’s mind is: just how will Dinamo allocate their new resources? Dinamo have opted to pocket their new found riches and take the loan approach; bringing in 19 year-old winger Gabriel Vidović. With key veterans who helped build Dinamo over the past half decade all heading out the door, what can this youngster do for Dinamo? The answer: ALOT.
Vidović hails from the academy of German giants Bayern Munich, where he cracked into their second team in 2021, recording 33 appearances and 21 goals. These numbers attracted the interests of the first team, when in 2022, he made four appearances before being loaned out to Vitesse in the Dutch Eredivisie. Vidović returns to Croatia this time for club duties as Dinamo sealed the loan deal alongside an option to buy once the term runs out. Dinamo have fostered the likes of many youth talents over the years. If Bayern are not ready for him to clock minutes for them, this could be a great season for Vifović to show his caliber in Croatia on the domestic stage. After a subpar U-21 Euro tournament, Vidović is ready to show the Croatian media what he can bring to the table, especially in a year where Dinamo’s dominance has never looked more uncertain. While this young talent joining the ranks of Dinamo is a massive addition to the club and league as a whole, Dinamo still look like they will have to make a few more move to keep us this year.
I really hope this kid turns into a star!!
A lot of potential to become a major force in the future. Let’s hope he develops correctly and makes a name for himself!!
Dalic needs to cap him before Hansi Flick does…🇭🇷 ….🇩🇪
I think he’s locked into Croatia atm, the pull for our NT is much more significant compared to DFB more than ever.
This is fantastic. Great move for all parties. He will get plenty of opportunities, competing with the likes of Antonio Marin and spikic for minutes. He will be looked after properly. Let’s see what he can become
Agreed Crnkovic! Vitesse did not work out for his development, Dinamo will provide him with a better opportunity. I expect him to thrive now, playing in front of Croatian fans…..great news for Vidovic and for Dinamo and for the HNL. I see it as a win-win-win.
Playing in front of fans? The only team that draws a crowd is Hajduk. Dinamo couldn’t sellout against AEK.
Calling him up to the senior national team. Based on what?
