19 year-old Nikola Vlašić scored his first Everton goal Thursday night in Europa League after making a £10 million move from Hajduk Split (the largest transfer fee Hajduk has ever received) only four weeks ago. Vlašić came on at halftime and scored what looked to be the game winner in the 66th minute only for Cypriote club Limassol to equalize in the 88th minute to force a 2-2 draw. It was Vlašić’s debut at Goodison Park in Liverpool. In the past month, he has either rode the bench or been left of the squad in Premiership matches.
So who is Nikola Vlašić?
He was Hajduk’s top teenage prospect since joining the youth program in 2010 and is the younger brother of superstar Croatian track and field athlete Blanka Vlašić. In 2014, Vlašić made the list of the world’s top 40 footballers born in 1997, compiled by The Guardian.

Yea, very nice poke!

Should the media hype train begin?
Don’t get too excited…. If he can become marcelo bozovic he will have exceeded expectations
His finish was all class.
He has a nice touch. Most strikers would have fucked that chance up.
I in all honesty was expecting a thrashing
@Idemo-I’d say it was a big game for Vlasic, and Everton.
– It was Everton’s first euro game at Goodison in about 2.5 years.
-With Rooney, Everton had high hopes, but they have been having a slow start.
-Europa league is their best chance to do anything meaningful this season. They are at the bottom of their group now.
he scored a goal so that pretty much makes him our most IN FORM striker lmao, give him the #9 jersey for repka now lol
big game for him right? not Everton right?
Vlasic was solid. A few bad touches (a bad heel flick & shanked volley attempt) but also some great play other than the goal (most notably getting a perfect cross off after getting away from the defender on the left, the receiving Everton player headed it straight to the goalie.)
At 19, he looked real good in a big game.
Subasic inbetween the pipes tonight
