It’s no secret that 25 year-old Croatian right back Šime Vrsaljko never quite fit in at Atletico Madrid since his summer 2016 signing from Sassuolo. But the former Dinamo Zagreb defender is back to full strength and is planning an exit to Liverpool or Napoli this January, The Sun reports.
The deal is rumored to be for a hefty £22 million where Vrsaljko could end up at current 4th place English club Liverpool or Italian leaders Napoli. Vrsaljko already played in Italy; one season at Genoa and two at Sassuolo.
If he ends up in Merseyside, he would be playing alongside Croatian teammate Dejan Lovren.
What is the better move for Vrsaljko?
I really like Vrsjalko. I know he’s had some issues with our team in the past and not performed great but i think he has heaps of potential to be a Srna-like player.
The way the team crowded him to celebrate that goal v Greece was really cool, they know what’s up
Idemo good call, that’s right Inter are looking at him as well. We’ll see what happens.
CroPerson
Mikhtariyan could be a make weight in that move for Perisic
I can’t see Atletico letting Vrsaljko go unless they get really good money. Juanfran, the starting RB, is 32 or 33 and he has been injured this year as well. Vrsaljko at one point was playing ahead of him. Partey (the Ghanaian MF) had to play RB when they were both injured so I don’t think they will let him go unless they can secure another RB/get some good money for him.
Perisic only leaves if Inter wants to sell him and they would but only for big cash. At that point it’s down to whether he would leave. You push through a transfer and piss people off or the club sells you if they can get some good coin. Unless you’re a Messi or Ronaldo any player could be considered sellable for the right price and if that team can secure a replacement.
Unless those things happen I can’t see any of our guys moving that I can think of. Would be nice to see Vida move to a bigger club. Not sure what is happening with Besiktas and Everton.
Good to hear u ok iggy
Entertain us with some cuntisms lol
We better play a legit African team
Looking forward to transfer window
Who do u guys think will make a move out of all our boys?
Merry Christmas everyone – Iggy I hope you heal up well.
Cheers
Any word on any other friendlies that have been confirmed? Date and time etc? I know we had an idea of teams we wanted to play but it looks like Peru is the only one that is official. I could be wrong.
If two splicani actually went to fight and were paid by Serbs. Well they are idiots, plain and simple. You have to be the most ill informed moron to participate in this crap.
@ Iggy
Healing blessings to you homie from down under.
“funny how Croats are so good at fighting while Serbs are so good at running to Daddy Putin”
ISTINA!
sorry ive been away dudes
im sure u all missed me, lol !
i just had a chunk of tissue cut out of my back and stitched up and ive been kinda immobile and depressed but i think it’s improving now
anyway, merry christmas to all, hope you and yours are well 😀
Also, what Maminjo posted above is right hehe
funny how Croats are so good at fighting while Serbs are so good at running to Daddy Putin
The only other country with kinda comparable fighters is Holland, also good at soccer.. i guess when you’re good at kicking soccerballs u get used to kicking heads to? hehe 😉
Saric 9-5-7 at half killin
I know there were at least two Splićani who were paid. They were Croats.
I haven’t been following the story, mainly because I don’t care, but it’s just another media tactic to deflect blame onto “foreign provocateurs” while disregarding the fact that something like 80 local Serbs being involved and the Croats were paid by Serbs to come and protect them in a fight.
This is a non story.
I thought these six “Croats” were ethnic Serbs living in Croatia?
@maminjo. Great post! I’m howling!
Well, if you want fighters, then you call Croats.
When a country of 4 million (and a dijaspora of 3 million) can produce MMA, Kickboxing and Boxing champions across all worldwide organizations, then that’s who you call.
I’ve never heard of a single Serbian fighter, except for maybe Darko Miličić, lol.
We Serbs are a people of peace. It is all propganda by the ustase
Anyone following this story that has been all over about six Croats paid by Serbian mafia to go to the zvezda partizan game to fight?
They got the crap kicked out of themselves and are now in Serbian jail…. I’m sure that will be fun for them
One is left to ask, are there not enough degenerates in Serbia that you have to recruit in Croatia?
Maybe we should keep santini on the roster just for penalty kicks. Scored one today albeit in a loss but he never misses seems like. We need those dudes maybe.
They’re likely to lose ghoulam or koluiaby in the summer and I still don’t think it’s a good move for Vrsaljko
He’s been playing LB with Ghoulam out.
That older Italian dude has been at RB.
Either way, that’s three guys (so one of them will have to be benched).
@maminjo
I thought hysaj was RB? kids 23 and a stud
Napoli have several good LBs and RBs.
They would buy him for the purpose of next season, since their starting RB is 35 years old and out of contract.
I’d rather he not go to Napoli just yet.
I bet they just pushing for more money like 30
Online they calling him affordable
What did atletico pay for him?

Maybe atlerico blowing smoke
Liverpool fans prob complaining bout another Croat defender
Playing with lovren u would think lovren would more likely be inserted at World Cup cause of the continuity thing
He knows Italy obviously
Liverpool may get into champions league
How many spots does Italy get 2 or 4?
Who needs an RB more? Just don’t want him riding the bench
He will have nuff time to get used to new team and hopefully really get his game on
If he went to Liverpool we would get to hear the English annnouncers butcher the pronunciation of his name …in a different way …every day.
Either move would be good for him though obviously.
I hope to god he makes a move in January.
Napoli is the way to go for footballing purposes.
Liverpool would raise his marketing profile.
Either way Vrsaljko needs to get to top form for us as he is right behind Perišić and Modrić has to who is most pivotal to our success.
