Germany
Andrej Kramarić (above) scored a late penalty as Hoffenheim fell 2-1 at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. Kramarić played the full match, converting his penalty in the 86th minute, though it proved to be too little too late for his side, who were hard done by two poor calls from the refs that resulted in a goal and penalty for Dortmund. Dortmund leapfrogs Hoffenheim with their victory, leaving Hoffenheim 4th with two matches remaining and Champions League football clinched for next season.
Ante Rebić started for Eintracht Frankfurt in a 2-0 loss at home to Wolfsburg on Saturday. Rebić had a quiet match, creating one chance and completing 13 passes before he was subbed off in the 67th minute. The loss ensures a mid-table finish for Frankfurt, who are 11th with two matches remaining in their Bundesliga campaign.
Tin Jedvaj started at center back on Saturday as Bayer Leverkusen drew 1-1 at 17th placed Ingolstadt. The draw leaves Leverkusen all the way down in 12th, only three points above the relegation zone with two matches left. A point at Koln next week would ensure Leverkusen a place in next year’s Bundesliga.
France
Danijel Subašić was in net for Monaco on Saturday as they nearly clinched the Ligue 1 title with a 3-0 win at 19th placed Nancy. Monaco dominated the match in terms of possessions and chances, and Subašić was called on just three times to earn his clean sheet. The win moves Monaco’s “magic number” down to three, meaning a win in any of their final three matches will leave them as French champions.
Ukraine
Domagoj Vida played the full match as Dynamo Kyiv cruised to a 6-0 win over FC Olexandria on Sunday. Olexandria had a tough task ahead of them coming into the match and after picking up a red card in the fifth minute, that task turned from tough to impossible. Kyiv are second in the Ukrainian Premier League, with Darijo Srna’s Shakhtar Donetsk having clinched the championship on Sunday.
SPAIN
It was a slow week in Spain as both Real Madrid and Barcelona won to keep status quo in the La Liga title race. Luka Modrić was given the weekend off after Champions League midweek and Mateo Kovačić replaced him in the Real Madrid midfield. Real’s four first half goals were enough to defeat Granada 4-0. Kovačić was given a “7” grade as he “was not alone this time around. The Croatian had Casemiro with him to anchor the midfield. Kovacic did well in carrying the ball forward as he usually does. He also provided a beautiful ball to Lucas Vazquez, creating a wonderful opportunity for the Spaniard to score, only for Casemiro to find the loose ball and make a mess of it.”
Ivan Rakitić played 83 minutes for Barcelona in a 4-1 win over Villareal Saturday. Barca are tied with Real Madrid on points with two matches remaining in the season, however, Real have an extra game to play. Duje Čop played the full 90 minutes as Sporting Gijon beat Las Palmas 1-0 to pull them within three points of relegation with two matches remaining. Čop has been active for Sporting but he has not scored in sometime. Alen Halilović came on midway through the second half for Las Palmas.
ENGLAND
Liverpool should have been in better position after Sunday’s match with Southampton but Milner’s penalty miss saw them split the points in a scoreless draw. Although Liverpool got the clean sheet, Dejan Lovren was once again criticized as he “was clumsy in his challenges which gave away a cluster of unnecessary fouls. However, he held the line well at the back and used possession well.” With he draw, Liverpool sit five points in front of Manchester United for a top-4 finish and Champions League berth.
Amen.
Mandzu about to do some Cro on Cro crime on Monacro.
Ps- it is so obvious that neither The Truth nor Ziva Istina from above are Ziva Istina. Ziva is likely dead, as his inflated ego & OCD would not allow him to stay away from this site. Let him rest in peace, along with his lame comments.
hahaha
it’s been a while since we’ve had those Veliki Hrvat arguments lmao.. there was a time when that shit truly polluted this site, thankfully you dont see it much anymore
@CroPer85
on this:
Who jerks off more in their basement
1) Ziva
2) truth
3) any one of the fake Zivas
?
I’ll give you a hint it’s a trick question.
i laughed my cock off hahaha, nice one 😀
@Idemo
Agreed partially. If your Croatian is dodgy at best than ya I understand what you mean. You expose how much you know when you type and your grammar is off. I just find it hurting when someone who corrects someone else probably speaks the language a lot worse than they think and probably speak it slightly better than the person they’re correcting. Odds are everyone or most people here are part of the diaspora and not actually a Croatian person born raised and living in Croatia. I could be wrong. (Probably not)
It’s the same diaspora nerds who correct other people’s Croatian online (who would never have the balls to do it in public if they came across someone) that will complain in the next thread that there’s no unity amongst Croatians and then scratch their head wondering why.
This is Croatian sports.com. Not Croatian grammar.com. Barely anyone types a complete grammatically correct sentence in English let alone Croatian on here. There are Croatian portals and forums where people type only in Croatian if that’s you want.
Anyways the ballbreaking was fun. Sounds like a broken record sometimes over here on this forum with the same people. Rarely do I antagonize. Enjoy the stack and jack Truth and Fake Ziva.
@Soul Champ
Agreed, now try and convince Saturday Cro teacher #1, #2 before they call the padeži police on us.
Ziva and “the troll truth”, do the world and this website a favor and die. The website is supposedly meant to “unite Croatians”, you repetitive trolls.
Ah …
The anal retentive HRVATI!
It is definitely you “idemo.”
BUT not the real “Ziva Istina.”
@ Cro 85.
Nema veze .
Mi smo svi Hrvati!
Interesting you say that ^^^
Language is intertwined in identity, I’d hate to start a who’s more Croatian discussion here as that’s even lamer than correcting Croatian BUUUUUT
If you are constantly making the most basic grammar mistakes and can’t spell basic words right I think it’s time to put your head down and start learning or leave it alone, and if you don’t correct how will someone learn?
Ok now I’m name calling. Correcting Cro diaspora for how they speak/write is so lame. Any boater from Cro could correct your Croatian the same way. I speak, read, write Croatian and don’t need English in Cro, went to cro school, church, visit etc. Remember there will always be someone who understands the language better than both of you knobs.
Who jerks off more in their basement

?
I’ll give you a hint it’s a trick question.
The ziva imposter is actually correct on your grammar errors soul champ
You see, verbs like reci utilize a dative case such as mi, ti, mu, nama etc. You used the acusative case me, te, ga, ju, nas etc with various other verb pairings
In addition, it is istinu rather than istina. This is another example of the acusative case where a feminine direct object has the last letter “a” transform into “u”
I know, today’s grammar lesson was likely way too much for the diaspora. We’ll stick to teaching how to order drinks next time
Fortified basement!!!!!
“Reci me istina,” it’s reci mi istinu!!!!!!!
@ “Ziva”
Reci … di živiš ? Koje sobe u nutra vaš kući ?
Reci me istina ?
Iggy my old friend, it is I!!!!!!!
Since I have been gone I have noticed many wannabe Ziva Istina’s, almost as many Ziva’s as Donna Vekic has had tennis players on the ATP tour!!!!!!!
I came back only for a short time to expose “The truth.”
The above “Ziva Istina” is definitely not the true Ziva, no way he talks like that. I won’t believe it’s Ziva unless he signs in with his little profile pic he used to have etc, otherwise it’s all imposters.
Yeah i was gonna mention Stipe has another title fight on the weekend, hopefully he wins :D.. the guys might put up a story closer to the wknd
On*
Hey why nothing on miocics big fight one Saturday?
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-ready-launch-mateo-kovacic-10051520
@The truth
I just wanted to clear up that you are not me, theres only one Ziva Istina and I am often imitated but never duplicated!!!!!!! you are a poor mans Ziva and would not make a decent pimple on my ass!!!!!!!!
All I do is tell The Truth and you like many others can’t handle it!!!!!!!!!
ya this dudes from Cleveland to
Cilic won a tourney this weekend
I only know this cause he beat raonic and since being Canadian…
As expected, ziva is drawn out to face the truth…. As expected
@ziva
Dance puppet. Dance. I might have to change my name to the puppet master
While you’ve been gone, I’ve been educating the diaspora on the truth. It hasn’t been easy but someone has to carry the kriz
@ Ziva
Pisdu materinu , opet si vratio?
Is that really you carrying the Kriz?
@ Lazio
Hoffenheim would be awesome for Kovačić. Young superstar coach playing that flowing soccer in the Bundesliga.
They are clubs that would play MORE than $35 million for Mateo. The transfer market has increased and at 23 yrs old he could have yet another big transfer fee at 27 yrs old
Hate to say it but Tottenham would be an ideal fit. They need next level CL players. Levy will know that Mateo is a worthy investment.
He just needs to have an airtight release clause in his contract.
A clear transfer fee that will NOT allow Levy to hold him hostage when he wants to make that next big money move back to a global power like Barcelona!
@ BZ
Agreed.
I enjoy the transfer talk but can’t see Zidane letting Mateo go. Despite our unrealistic expectations of him, Zidane is happy with his progress and can see his upside. Plus there is not a better manager in the world that can teach Mateo the art of playing like a true #10. The paradox is that there is no room upfront with players of all ages ahead of him on the pitch and in the depth chart, to actually play that role?
Isco
James
Asencio
Are all players that could lead CL teams as there #10.
Ironic how the main reason to keep Mateo is to prolong the RM career of Modrić. He allows Luka to be rested and rotated and avoid burnout. This will actually help Croatia in the World Cup.
we need a return of ziva’s step tata fo sho!
why you guys say kovacic can’t get 35… i know its expensive but wouldn’t a team in england over pay for him?? wasn’t pogba like 100 mill or something
so here is the question… pogba at 100 mil or kovacic at 35?
im talking overall bang for buck
@Ziva
For the sake of CS.com, please don’t ever change. Glad to see you posting again.
@ Ziva
I give the guy a compliment who hasn’t posted in a while and the first thing he does is start pumping his tires. Let’s not get carried away now.
Someone had to carry the kriz.
I was the only one fit enough to do so.
@Ziva (if it is you lol!)
I can agree with that. You did give Muric credit for not getting into bed with Mamic and yes you did make entertaining comments (at times incidiary and other times truthful which sometimes Croatians don’t like to hear but someone needs to say it).
Hopefully you’re back. You always need someone to say the things people don’t want to hear but are true.
I would never call Robert Muric manure, I respected Robert Muric for not getting into bed with Mamic. Guys, “The truth” is not me! There’s only one Ziva Istina.
I always was the only guy worth imitating on this site! You know what they say about imitation? I’m flattered!
Look, in terms of the site managers paying me to bring traffic to the site, these are not things to be discussed. But what is to be discussed is the performance of our future superstar youth
Me-first kramaric:. Throws teammates out of way to score another penalty. Tough for him to come by real goals
Marko pee ass a: out for possibly a year
Alen halilo shit:. Subbed into second half, other team immediately scores to win 1-0. At least he finally managed to get on the field for one of the worst teams in the league
Josip bustalo:. Disappeared in German 2 league
Marcelo bozo vic:. The Chelsea man can’t even get on the field
Robert manure ic:. Disappeared in the Netherlands
Marko rog: Can’t get on field
Sime vrsaljkoholic: still addicted to injury
Ante coric:. Dinamo title run ends.. Next modric?
Can anyone dispute these observations? Some say I’m a downer but I’m literally just reporting here what has happened… Objectively. I wish i had something didn’t to report…. Oh mateo crotch-does-itch actually played against the worst team in Spain
Who else hates these “just destroyed” click baits?
If so many bad people and institutions are ‘destroyed’ just by words, why is the world still a basket case?
@Soul Champ
Maybe a loan move to Hoffenheim, they’re losing Sebastian Rudy to Bayern Munich next season? Seems like the best for me!
@Soul Champ- all things point to Kova staying at Madrid. I think they know what they have, and nobody else will pay enough for him. He is such a valuable player for RM, whose second team can basically maintain first place in La Liga whilst the first team rests for the UCL. Unreal.
If Modric & Kova weren’t there, I would root against RM, but I do commend their GM skills.
If Crnkovic isn’t making shit up and Zidane thinks Kovacic has potential, then I would suggest he’s going nowhere (Kovacic is happy at Real), because I don’t see anyone buying him for anything close to the $35mil that Real payed Inter for his services.
If they do sell him for less than they payed Inter, then that would suggest to me that Zidane doesn’t see Kovacic realising his potential.
I would actually like to see Modric leave Real and go to a club where more would be expected of him in the attacking department, he needs to work on his attack dribble so next time Croatia play a Portugal he can actually do something to change the way the game’s going (which is what leaders do), not just do what he did against Portugal, which was f**k all.
@ BZ
Kovačić has CL pedigree with Real Madrid.
I am aligned with him going to a second tier champions league club.
He is too good and at 23 needs an opportunity to play attacking midfielder for a contender.
Real Madrid is the #1 club on the planet.
So they are many top clubs he can move to, play CL and develop into a super star.
Hoffenheim
RB Leipzig
Bayern
Liverpool
Napoli
Juventus
Sevilla
Real Madrid would be nuts to sell him.
Maybe he will shine with the repka and that will balance out his role with Real Crodrid ?
@Idemo Thanks for the heads up. Im trying to plan a trip to iceland from Toronto. I’ll post on here if I find tickets from someone other then the HNS.
andrija balic finally made his debut for udinese today. stipe perica scored as they drew 1-1 with atalanta. yes BZ I would love to see kovacic take a little step down from real Madrid level especially premier league….
Usually when buried on a bench a player loses an edge. I think Kovacic actually improved at Real Madrid; but it is time to let him take this show on the road. He needs to learn leadership skills, which you can only get through experience. A mid-level team would be perfect.
Rijeka doing their best to lose the HNL title, losing all three points to Lokomotiva.
I think Rijeka plays a red hot Hajduk next. If they lose that, then it will come down to that last Dinamo vs Rijeka match in Zagreb.
Hajduk will essentially give the title to Dinamo if they beat Rijeka.
Živa step dad was hilarious, original and funny.
These other scubs are peddling recycled lines.
The truth is not živa istina. I believe Denis confirmed as much before he left. Their writing styles are different. I have a funny feeling the truth is actually the guy who used to call himself živa’s stepdad.
It is the upside that sparks the Kovačić debate.
I don’t see the natural creativity of Luka Modrić.
I do see explosive attack dribble.
He needs to become an attacking #10.
He needs to play more forward and be clinical in the final third.
Maybe he is being type cast as a Modrić replacement when he really is different player.
Real Madrid is the toughest squad to breakthrough in the world.
I am impressed that Zidane gives him as much burn as he gets.
Next move should focus on the role he will potentially have the new club.
He is #10!
Kovacic is just so far from the finished product that he has the potentetial to be. He’ll take on 3 guys when he shouldn’t and he doesn’t make the easy pass when it’s there. His decision making is seriously lakng and I can only hope it gets better. Even the most die-hard supporters must see that.
hmm its been quiet for couple of days and the first comment is from the truth aka ziva… maybe ziva really is one of the site guys posting to drum up business:)??
anyways… seems to work none the less… i enjoy the back and forth bull shit sometimes… its entertaining
i think most of us forget kovacic still a pretty young dude. i just looked him up and his bday was just today… he just turned 23… in the next 3 years if he is going to become dominant it will probably happen then
saw some stuff linking him with tottenham
@Vice vukov- where are you man? The Truth is trolling us again, and we need your The Truth’s mama jokes….
Something like….
I took off my homer glasses, to put on my beer goggles to bang your…
Kramaric has a me first attitude when in line at a gang bang for your….
Bilic and company beats Tottenham. Good for the hammers!
@Skok
I emailed HNS they’re not releasing until 30 days before the game; then I doubt they will mail them to us, so either get someone in cro to buy for you and send. I’m planning on risking it and buying day off there
Anyone know where to get tickets for the iceland vs croatia game coming up?
Hajduk is ruling the world . Cico where are you when we need you my brother.
Crnkovic well said brother!
these guys are very young still. even brozovic is only 24!! what were you doing when you were 24 ziva? I mean the truth. and by the way I’m not a homer, of course I support our players. but I recognize and appreciate talent and passion and positive attitude. take that rashford, what a player. I hate man utd, doesn’t mean I can’t see how good rashford is. who is better rashford or mbappe?
yeah sure. that’s why he plays for real Madrid. Zinedine Zidane thinks he has got potential. sometimes I wonder if some of you guys have ever played football. it’s not easy. how many times have we seen players written off as a flop or whatever you call it in the USA. take Bergkamp at inter milan, Henry at juventus. Veron and forlan at man utd…etc it’s technical it’s tactical it psychological it’s to do with confidence, subtle changes yield big differences eventually. that’s why you have to watch carefully if you want make predictions. a player can look useless if they don’t receive the right passes or sometimes if they are trying too hard. you have to look carefully at each pass, each touch, each decision…ohhh ok I see what he is trying to do, that was unlucky his team mate didn’t read it. the truth name me a quicker more incisive cm than kovacic. go..
Kovacic is style over substance.
Much like Halilovic.
Not sure what they learned at Dinamo..
Ahhh crnkovic,. I try to keep people grounded and you follow up with statements saying kovacic will be unstoppable and no central midfielder has ever been such a quick incisive dribbler…i mean, you really can’t make this stuff up. That’s why although i hate to do it, i must continue to guide those with homer glasses. I will carry the kriz
kovacic had a decent game for real Madrid today. he still gives the ball away too easily at times. his decision making is still way behind his technical talent. I dont think he is the most intelligent footballer. but he is still young and moving in the right direction. defensively he was very good today, he also did some beautiful work on the ball. I think if he were to move to a club where he can be the main man….maybe he could finally flourish. for sure if actually gets it right he will be unstoppable. no central midfielder has ever been such a quick incisive dribbler. the truth? you talk nonsense
Our u 17 generation sucks!
Maybe its also time to mention how the u17 team lost again 4-1 to Turkey which eliminates them from the euro. So let’s keep this in mind when you hear of the next messi or next xavi coming from this generation. Some view my realism as picking on our guys but in the end I’m the biggest hrvat out there. For all the diaspora, a hrvat is a Croatian. You add an i to make it plural. Unless we are realistic and not led astray by the sensationalism of the media and the diaspora, the national soccer program cannot move forward in the right direction
The Truth = Troll
Well looks like me-first kramaric barreled over his teammates again to take a penalty shot. For such an allegedly prolific goal scorer his penalty shot adjusted goal numbers has been really disappointing this season. I think his lack of being able to score and his me first attitude is what also keeps him from being effective on the repka and causes his teammates not to like him
