With the Bundesliga returning from winter break in one week’s time, Mario Mandžukić was warming up in what hopes to be a productive year for the 26 year-old striker. After scoring two goals earlier in the week against Schalke in a 5-0 friendly victory, Mandžukić struck again on Saturday, this time against Basel in the ninth minute of play. Mandza was left wide open in front of the net following a free kick from the left side and the following ball found him with the entire net to shoot on. It was a typical ‘Ivica Olić right place, right time’ goal; but a goal nonetheless. Bayern ended up winning the game 3-0 and face Greuther Furth on Saturday in Bundesliga play.

Ivan Perišić is feeling right at home with Wolfsburg. In his second match with the club, albeit another friendly, Perišić scored his second goal this week, this time in the fourth minute vs. Hertha Berlin in a 5-1 win. Perišić will finally see consistent starting time at Wolfsburg and will have his first go this Saturday against Stuttgart. Let’s see if the kid can produce with all eyes on him and Wolfsburg in the bottom half of the Bundesliga table.

Luka Modrić started for Real Madrid against Osasuna on Saturday and was subbed off for Mesut Ozil in what was yet another disappointing match for both Luka and Madrid, as they slipped further behind Barcelona with a Cristiano Ronaldo-less 0-0 draw. Mourinho moved Modrić from the deeper role he played midweek vs. Celta Vigo to the center forward position right off the striker. He was completely ineffective.
Modrić failed to get a shot off and only created two chances. In addition, Luka completed only 24 passes with a 71% completion rate, well below his season average of 88%. He was subbed off for Ozil in the 68th minute and Real would go down to 10 men shortly after his departure when Kaka picked up his second yellow card. So far this season, Modrić has shown that he is far more effective as a deep lying playmaker, his position at Tottenham, than when he is played off the striker. Real is now four points behind Atletico Madrid and 15 behind Barcelona, both with a game in hand.
Ivan Rakitić started for Sevilla in what he labeled as “an important match” against Valencia. Rakitić played the full 90 minutes but only managed one shot as Sevilla would keep falling down the La Liga ladder, this time by way of a 2-0 loss to Valencia. Sevilla now sit on 22 points through 19 games and trail a European berth for next season by nine points. There are rumblings that Rakitić can be sold in the next two weeks to a Russian club due to Sevilla’s financial problems, but nothing has been put in action as of yet.

Nikica Jelavic played the full 90 minutes on Saturday as Everton played out a tough scoreless draw vs. Swansea at Goodison Park. With Tottenham playing out a scoreless draw themselves earlier in the day, Everton missed a fantastic chance to bridge the gap between them and fourth place. Jelavić had five shots during the match (0 on frame) and was given a 6-grade from SkySports.com for ‘lacking confidence’. When will Jelavić return to the form he was in during early 2012?
Photo: SkySports
Mladen Petrić (above) returned to action for the first time since December 15th after missing four games due to a leg injury. Petrić got the start vs. Wigan Saturday but showed some rust in the 1-1 draw. He was taken off in the 65th minute with three shots to his name; zero being on goal. SkySports.com gave Petrić a ‘5’ grade on the day for ‘consistently being wasteful’. We’ve seen glimpses of greatness from Petrić this season at Fulham, but nothing to bode a coming out party.
FRANCE
Dejan Lovren and Lyon took sole possession of the Ligue 1 lead Saturday with their 2-1 victory over Troyes. Lyon currently have a two point lead over Paris Saint-Germain with Marseille right behind them. Lovren played the full 90 minutes and was not at fault for the goal. Soccernet has reported that the French disciplinary board has cleared PSG’s Zlatan Ibrahimović of any intentional wrong doing for his December 16 stomp on the face of Dejan Lovren. Lovren is a man’s man and always stands up for himself. The two will face off against each other again May 11th. It is then that we will see how Lovren took this decision?
ITALY
Both Ante Vukušić (Pescara) and Marko Livaja (Inter) rode the bench for their respected clubs Saturday as Inter Milan downed Pescara 2-0. With the win, Inter sit two spots behind a Champions League berth while Pescara remain four points safe from the drop zone. Vukušić is not being played like he was earlier in the season. Is it time to make a jump in his first season in Serie A?

I like the phone covers but i have a HTC incredible S, maybe i will see if there are any ones for that later..
BTW, CSR is dope!
I hope these idiots comments don’t bother you guys.
Keep up the great work!
SABBATICAL!!!
I’m just kinding. I’m on Team Ziva.
I like lots of idiots! 🙂
@Ziva
Thats just kids trying to copy what they see as popular. Most will grow out of it.
Just because his mother had low morals and layed with a black asshole who as most blackmen do walked out on his children he becomes our burden? Bullshit.
A Croat who declared himself an African???????????
Plenty of them around. Look at all of the wanna-be rappers in ZG and the way they dress and act. Fake diamond earings, saggy pants, tilted baseball cap that is ill fitted.
As I said months ago, one African here and there no problem right. Then when half of our team is black we can say wow look at how progressive we are. There is no such thing as an Afro-Croatian period. There are foreigners of African ancestry who happen to live in our homeland but they will never, never be us. Period.
Fuck Kobie and Sammir!!!
@Colin
Sure, now where can I find the Croat who declared himself an African?
Born and raised in Hrvatska. Depending on how good he is, he’s more entitled to wear those colors than many people on this site.
http://www.football-talents.co.uk/Kobie_Morris-3_7-48431-2.html
WTF his middle name is Kobie LOL? Seeing Africans wearing our colors is becoming a regular occurance.
Darrick Morris can take it back to the Ghetto he came from.

Thank you for the Iphone covers. Love the Ustasa one and the soccer ones.
i don’t agree with half of what ziva has to say, and thats fine, just his opinion, world class, legend, they are all just peoples opinions, nothing more, they are not official titles, have your say, we all listen!
I was just checking out our U16 roster and we are stacked with talent. Roguljic, Dabro, Basic, Halilovic, Coric… Future looks very bright!!!
@Dr Colin,Golden Child,Denis,Ante,Zach and others-I should also mention that all of you guys do a amazing job of bringing us this site that is appreciated by many people including myself.Some standards of “decent play” in varied opinions by all who post will only help the site to be bigger and better.
@ziva then tell people who you really are so we can all have a beer with you
Also, another input for Croatian sports keep the microphone and camera out of people’s faces at Croatian events that don’t have anything to do with sports. It kills the mood for a lot of people
@Ziva-This is usually the point where you start playing Mr Inoccent.Come on Ziva,time to man up and cut the crapp.Dont say I didnt say anything bad,its just a opinion or something else as lame.You know full well you engineer your words” just so” that way you can say something bold and it just the right way to tick someone off.
Like I said earlier,stick to what you generally do,just think about lifting your standards a little for the benefit of the site.Think about it,dont come back with something lame or smart,be a man and grow a little.
@Ziva
I’m speaking in general, not just this situation, u know the other stuff that many on this website get there panties in a bundle over. I agree having a beer with you would be an enjoyable time, until I get mad at you for a low blow and i leave u with the check.
@jarac…..actually I wouldn’t change anything that I said in person. I am an easy guy to get along with in person and nobody would have any issues sharig a beer with me. Nothing that I said is provocative. I think some parents either live through their kids too much or post too much personal info about themselves on social media sites. Some may agree, some may not. But nothing I have written is worth throwing punches over.
@hrvat…..yeah, you sound intelligent. Let’s go threaten to beat up someone because there is a difference of opinion.
If you guys are complaining stuff isn’t up quickly enough, follow us on twitter to get the latest news and check in here once we report on it

Seriously, I’d love to sit here all day, have access to coaches and players, talk to them, and report on the HNL all the time. If there was interest in that, maybe I will put some more effort into that. Just doesn’t seem plausible though.
In the meantime… Josip Simunic was named captain of Dinamo, Italian side Napoli recently offered Hajduk over 2 million for Radosevic. Hajduk just signed two Brazilians and a U21 international from Ivory Coast. Slaven just signed Jelavic from Hajduk, NK Zagreb brought up 15-year-old Croatian-born-American and NKZ youth product Darrik Morris to the first team, and Ciro Blazevic left NKZ, but immediately returned as the coach. If I get lucky this year, I’ll head to Hrvatska for a week or two. I’ll report live and onsite from there just for CSR. HNL Update for the week.
I think Ziva just used the wrong example to try and frame a different discussion.
Possibly how narcissism has completely overrun Western societies in the information age via social media.
Fact of the matter is, many parents have gone bat-shit crazy with what amounts to a peculiar form of exploitation, putting themselves and others (namely their children) on display for the “world to see.”
In this fucked up age, the visual now dominates the literal.
Visual was always important, but we’re living in unprecedented times. World history has never seen anything like this. Videos, pictures, streams – MONITORS rule our way of life. It’s affected us all and has, usudim se reci, re-wired our brains… For better or worse? Remains to be seen.
Our world is sensory-driven… and it is true that most people socialize on the internet looking for “kicks;” a reaction, a response… something. Plain and simple.
Ziva is an agent-provocateur. That’s what he’s called in the world of intelligence. The ultimate narcissist that will make narcissists out of all of you and drag you down with him.
Try ignoring him for a change. He will eat the opanke his parents came to America in.

@jarac he may be a hrvat but i would be happy to beat the shit out of him if i ever saw him
@collin yes i understand but the modric article was really old and the fact that everybody on this site just argues is stupid. It was better back when it was croatian soccer report
@Ziva
although u are a little bitch I still enjoy you, and would like to have a beer with you so u can make a rude comment to me and i can bitch slap u for it. hahah
@ziva
Here is the problem with you ziva, you hide behind a computer screen and make comments that get under peoples skin and obviously you do it for a reaction, cause it gets you jollies wet. The problem here is, many times your comments are low blows. People are offended by it. So, to stop beating around the bush, your a DICK. Now thats fine and all, but here’s the real issue. You hide behind a computer screen and say it, I’m more than willing to bet you would not say half the shit you say behind the computer in person. And that my friend makes you a little bitch.
@Hrvat and the others with all the hate
1. Ante and Denis always welcome other people to post articles. In the end, everybody usually says they don’t have time to do it.
2. These guys don’t get paid to do this, they both have jobs, and they’re doing this as a favor. Handball post was pretty late today…all of a couple hours after the game.
All these weekly soccer updates take time to compile video(which is taken down frequently because of copyright), get stats on a lot of games that aren’t readily given by the US media, and they are dalmatinci (that’s gotta count for at least negative 3 points)
3. I wish Dukic would do some posts, as he seems pretty knowledgeable and he’s a pretty good player as well. I haven’t heard or seen anything.
4. The fact that you guys are so easily rattled by Ziva makes a little sad. The guy has some good points, but enjoys to troll you guys and get a reaction out of you. I’m not saying that he doesn’t have good insights every once and awhile, but you guys really need to figure out how to brush shit off.
I do the same thing with HAET, the white power guys, and the random anonymous poster that has nothing to say.
If you guys notice, I try to usually disregard all the stuff that doesn’t have to do with soccer and keep the conversation going with sports stuff.
*rant over*
@Hrvat – Come on, man. Everyone on this site works their asses off to keep it going. This isn’t our full time jobs. We all work 9-5, so I’m sorry if we don’t have every bit of breaking news on time. If you have the time, and know so much about soccer, write something and we will happily post it. It’s our dream to have the time and means to just work the site full time and travel to get big news scoops, but that’s just not the case right now.
It takes readers like you to keep it all going. There’s enough negativity on here sometimes already, we don’t need anymore. Give us some ideas for stories. There’s not much going on right now in the soccer world, so being CroatianSPORTS.com, there are going to be some non-soccer related posts. If you have a news idea, pitch it. We’d love to hear it.
In a few months, the HNL will be back, and WC qualifiers will start back up. Some big posts will come then, but until now, be patient and enjoy what we have now. Cheers, man and relax. This site is made for you. Let’s work together to make it what you want it to be,
Jack V – I’ll take some heat off you. My son was named to the New Hampshire Second Team All State High School Boys soccer team – Jeremy Valcich – here is the link:
http://www.nashuatelegraph.com/sportshighschoolsports/940511-221/high-school-soccer-11-locals-earn-first-team.html
This year, the champion was Manchester Central. Two Croats and one Bosnian were in the starting lineup.
Ziva will probably say “If your son was any good, he would have made first-team all state”…..but, that’s ok.
Sebastian Saja could be a good option for Dinamo.
This site was amazing now its fuckin stupid. 1.ziva is stupid and just talks shit on hrvati. 2) you guys are always late with ur post. 3)whoever owns this site is stupid and doesnt no anythig about soccer i know more about this shit than u guys do and you guys probably spend hours looking for articles. Dukic knows more about soccer than any of you guys just give him everything to pos and it will officially be a good croatian soccer article
Migliori will ask for the Kelava’s GPS ,not a good Goalkeeper in my opinion.
@ Denis Svircic-Well said with your earlier comments.
@Ante Kvartuc-Yes ,Ziva is indeed the Ass(felcher)man.I can see why you like to encourage Zivas input,and personally I am not a Ziva hater either,I have read the site since early CSR days.What you do need to keep in mind that Ziva is a double edged sword for this site.A great deal of the negative stuff and conversations turning to trash revolves around Ziva.I agree,he quite often gets people reading and commenting,he knows his facts quite well,apparently not too much about tactics from what I notice,but is strong on other detail.
I truly dont mind the guy on the site,I have usually just put him down to Ziva being Ziva,but he quite often over steps the mark and just becomes a over opinionated A-hole with a big ego.Personally,I wouldnt particularly expect him to change,but I would like to see him become a “better Ziva”if this is possible???Some better standards of play should be expected from him,otherwise you have to expect things to go downhill on the forum more often.
Kudos to Jack V for what he initially put up,I agree it could be slightly borderline,but as Mr Svircic said,the kid is Croatian,he is playing soccer and Jack was after some info.I tip my hat to him for this,as occasionally this is what the site should be about.
Up to you guys,I dont take any of it too seriously,but some slightly better standards from Ziva should be encouraged for the good of the site,again,yeah ,he gets people reading and commenting,but turns many away also,and is responsible for turning much to crapp,not the apparent Homers who cant handle the truth.
Vratar San Lorenza Pablo Migliore potpisuje za zagrebački Dinamo!

Ante B – Fellow Dinamovac
Ziva – Gotta see this basement
Armada and Allen 19outraged – They live near each other
But how could I leave out Ante Kvartuc and Ziva Svircina?? Don’t forget about the Vegas trip. These drinks with everybody could actually happen.
@JM:
I requested its removal. My impressions of this website were perhaps a little off.
With that being said fatherhood is the greatest privilege and responsibility. I pray that all of you are blessed with the experience.
@ jack v. WHere’s the video? i couldnt find it but I wanted to see the kids skills!
@ Jack V
Definitely get the Coerver tapes if you are interested in training your son on the side. I don’t think you want to overwhelm him with soccer, but if he would do some of their ball mastery drills for a half hour a day, you would be amazed what that’ll do for his touch.
In high school I bought the Coerver series (three tapes, God knows how many CDs, maybe one). I would work through their trainings throughout the week and honestly it works wonders, and that from someone who is already in their teens. The ball mastery training they have on the first tape is perfect for a kid his age. They explain the development of a player really well in the videos. This Coerver guy used to be a trainer at the Ajax academy (back when they were producing the best talent in the world like Barca is now) and then went to Japan and a few other places. The guy is awesome, the videos are awesome, and the training is excellent. When I have sons (knock on wood) I’m going to buy the tapes and work through them with the kids. Hands down best videos I’ve found for player development

Oh you know that would start a hell of storm. lol
Nobody, because that would be jocksniffing.
I have not fully embraced twitter yet. I don’t know if I have mentioned that one or two hundred times yet.
I will be offering free T-Shirts to anyone who follow me on Twitter.
@haet a guy that has his beliefs would just be interesting to talk to.
@tornado because it looks like he would provide the drinks.
@armada posts so much I feel like I know the guy.
Here’s a good poll:
IF YOU COULD HAVE DRINKS WITH THREE POSTERS, WHO WOULD IT BE? You can also indicate why. Don’t have to limit to three.
On the flip side, who wouldn’t you want to and why?
As you can tell, I’m bored.
I’ve already had a sit down drinking session with Fisto, Kvartuc, Svircic, Nije Bitno, Barbic and some other guys.
Wow… There are a lot of Crnkovics! We are breeders. http://imehrvatsko.net/namepages/view/family_name/prezime-crnkovic-2 Real cool link.
Hey, at least hockey is back! January 19 is the first game. Dustin Jeffery made the move back to Pittsburgh from Medvescak this week. Medvescak also lost yesterday 3-2 to Innsbruck the worst team in the league. There will be a hockey post this week with more stuff to talk about.
@Ziva – HEY ASSMAN!!!! ONE IN A MILLION, DOC! ONE IN A MILLION!
@Everyone:
If I wanted compliments, I would get them from the people I pay for his training. I don’t trust them as money taints any of their sincerity.
Honestly, if I saw many of you in person I would introduce you to my family or buy you a drink. We do share common interests and a common bond.
@Ziva
You talk about the loose women you have/had relations with and then lecture everyone on Catholicism and attending mass.
You were born a miserable asshole and you are going to die a miserable hypocritical asshole.

Talk about Spain in resection no one is watching Handball i remeber 2009 in croatia every game had a good crowd even if croatia didnt play
Euro 1996 best home
France 98 WC-best away
Kraj price.
@Armada nice site, i hated the 02-04 kits also crap remeber wc 2002 OMG
@ Ziva they have 3 red white and blue ones,
http://www.rost-sport.hr/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&task=category&id=18:dresovi&Itemid=201
I’ve always like our ice hockey, basketball and handball kits over most of our football kits…
I actually like the kits we have now. The ones from Euro 2008 were nice too.
But look at some of the kits from 2001-2006…
http://www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk/international-teams/european/croatia.html
The 02-04 home kit? Disgusting. 04-06 Away? Equally disgusting. But then you have kits like the 96-98’s and the 98-01’s that are just pure class.
really hit or miss with our nogomet kits…
Usually the blue jerseys from Adidas for the handball team are good. I have not seen highlights from today, so I have no clue what they wore.
Wanted to add what do you guys think of the Rukomet kits are they better than our Nogomet kits?
DA! that site is good way to learn where your name originated from,
Sports related news hajduk has a counter to sammir they bought brazilians aswell
@GoldenChild
I’m just thinking of ways of how we could keep the fans engaged and talking about nogomet and sport in general…
and not having conversations degenerate into sranje…
@Armada
We could do that. Ante could put it up where our regular voting option is.
@ Poglavnik
we really do need something to rally around…
Team CSR – is the site capable of having voting options within a post? Maybe we can do an all-time best starting XI for Croatia where each person can vote for their favorite at a position? And we could drag it out – first do nominations for each position or maybe just Midfield, Defense, Forwards, Keeper?
Orrrrrrrr
We can do a vote of what region produces bigger Hrvati, biggest Jugo’s, biggest Ustasi…
😀
You can post all you want, but you also open yourself up to be criticized if you do. Nobody is forbidding anyone from posting photos/videos of their kids. Everytime I post I am open to receiving critical comments or comments are a total 180 degrees of what I posted.
Personally, I dont see the reason why to post images of your kid. Again, to me it smells like a search for compliments which is what you gut with these “MaliKurac”character. I never thought I would see the day where one person on a message baord would type the following comments to another poster: “You and your wife must be very good looking people.”
SVASTA!!!!!
@Ziva-Yes ,good one.To add the letters for “felching done at no additional fee”would be too long for a number plate.
🙂
@Tornado-Cool names site,I just checked it out,pretty much what I knew,but there was a little additional stuff also.Also something about the” Istinas”being run out of town mant centuries ago.
Bring on the Serbia match!
You guys are seriously jaded if you think some soccer loving Cro guy can’t post a video of her soccer loving son. You never show a pic of your kid to someone? You never play the part of proud parent? You might want to think about why that is.
@JackV
First off, your son shows talent and amazing game play. How old is he? And he is really cute too. You and your wife must be very good looking people. GL to you!
@Poglavnik
We can get a countdown clock. I have to do some work on the site before we push that though. Lots of work but so little time. :/
Alright boys,
Everyone settle down with the father talk, posting your children on the internet and the Serb/Zadar discussion.
I understand there isn’t shit to talk about in sports right now, but let’s not make up stuff and pull out discussions we’ve already had in the past.
Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, which is why we let most everything through, but when conversations are being brought from left field…they will be stopped.
I’ve received too many complaints about this thread already.
Have a nice day.
@Ante……..i wish. if I were i would have the following link as my license plate.

Yeah right, I can see the shingle over the door now,”Dr Ziva Istina-Proctologist” 🙂 🙂
@ 19Tornado65
Pretty cool site.
http://imehrvatsko.net/namepages/view/family_name/prezime-diminic
Fortunately, mostly everyone from my clan stayed up north in Istra and the Kvarner. WTF were some Diminic’s thinking moving to Dalmacija – god help them if they follow jadan Hajduk too…
and they even mention some big time Yugo from Istra that had the same last name as me hahah
Better serb than muslim hahaha
Dude, I never said you were a serb…………do you have a reading comprehension issue???? Where did I ever say you were a serb?
And I cant wait for you to “jebat cu ti mamicu”
and I don’t live in Chicago (although the company has offices in Chicago) or work at a hospital or near one…..then again, I could go by the name of Dr. Ziva Istina.
This is a cool website where your last name comes from Croatian its cool http://imehrvatsko.net/namepages/index/index/cat/2
@ Ziva Yes Zadar pravoslavni are huge thats why zadar next to Vukovar suffere the most from Crno Smokovic Poljica Zemunik Skabrnje Poljaci Dracevac Ploca Benkovac Obrovac Galovac Thats where they settled Zadar is the greats Heee
@Ziva
It’s no worse than having a Twitter account.
God, how much longer til the Serbia match now?
We need something to rally around and soon!
Maybe we should have a countdown clock til Mar 22nd.
CSR, is that possible?
Social media ruined the world thats how i see it! Back to Sports i think Croatian National team for the scum who run it has good players and i expect to go to 2014 and round of 16 minimum my opinion! As for Handball as long as Goluza and Gobac run the show dont expect gold from us, France have 5 gold medals because they use their old players but to Croatia a 29 year old is too old fucken people
@Dukic…….I never ripped the guy, just gave my honest opinion.
As for your other comments…….
Zadar has a lot of the serbs in the region/area. So what?? Judging by your last name I take it that you are from the ZD area. There are plenty of mixed marriages over there.
I never said Medugorje was an illusion. I did mention that a priest in ZG once told me that he thinks its all BS. I assume you believe in the Catholic Church. Well, if you do, then you would know the Vatican has never recognized Medugorje and has questioned its legitamacy.
I think you lie when you say I ruin the experience for “all of us”. I think you enjoy having to reply to me.
And besides……what the hell else is there to discuss. The game against the serbs is more than two months away, the HNL is still on break, the title race is over, jadan Hajduk is still jadan Hajduk, and we are all waiting for the handball team to play a meaningful game in the world championships.
Nothing else to discuss right now. Unless you want to talk about the amazing season porcelain doll Bogut is having……oh wait, he’s not playing again.
Croatia route Algeria 31-20 in Handball today. Croatia and Spain sit at the top of the group.
Jack V – Keep posting videos of your son like the proud Croat tata that you are. Hope you get your Cro citizenship soon too. Good Luck brate
Thank you Ziva for the info on the transfer fee.
croatiansports.com as a prva generacija member you guys should be embarrassed for putting this guy in the spotlight all the time. you guys know i enjoy this website but this is getting ridiculous. you delete certain peoples comments but yet this peder calls zadrani serbs, medugorje a illusion and now he is making fun of a father who is proud of his son.
morate nesto poduzet brate mili. he ruins the experience for all of us more often then not.
I gave the guys permission to videotape portions of my wedding RECEPTION knowing full well there would be good and bad comments. I also did it because it was free and to those of you who married, you understand. It’s nice to get another perspective.
I don’t have kids so I am not qualified but I wouldn’t put them online. HOWEVER I don’t believe Jack is fishing for comments or anything negative. Moreover I dont think hes living theough his kid or anything like that. He’s a typical nerd Tata which is what I can’t wait to be. The only douche thing is his jersey which should be burned immediately.
I have a facebook and some of my “friends” blow it up with hundreds of pictures of their children. Obviously, I blocked their news feeds. Ziva is right by saying that these people seek comments or “likes” on facebook for instance about their kids to make them feel better.
However, Jack shared a video of his kid playing soccer. 1) This is definitely a) soccer related. b) Croatian related. Also, Jack explained that he asked for advice on how to teach his kid how to play. I see nothing wrong there coming from Jack.
Even if Jack didn’t want any advice, we encourage everyone to add links to comments. Example: “Hey everyone, this is my son Davor. Dude is 6 years old and will be the next Luka Modric.”
I like to think that we are kind of like a family here. Ante and I have met about a dozen of you in San Jose, San Francisco, New York, Toronto, LA and Vancouver. Some of you we haven’t met in person yet, while others prefer to stay anonymous.
I remember getting an email from a guy revealing his identity and telling me not to tell anyone. Dude must work undercover. 🙂
For some reason, us Croatians jump on the chance to blast someone and they think that their shit don’t stink. I have to work on myself as well. In the last few year, I have started to train myself to look at a situation from their shoes.
Lets try not to be critical of each other. We are…….
CroatianSports United (including Dinamo fans)
.
Am I only one who agrees with Ziva?
@HRVAT……I never said he wasn’t proud of his kid. I don’t think posting videos of your kid is a way to express how proud you are of your own child. Instead, its a way to fish/beg for comments about your kid. I think its fair game. If you are willing to post images/videos of private moments or family outings, then be prepared to receive comments about them….afterall, that is the reason they were posted.
And who is to say that I don’t have a kid. I’ll tell you this. There is no way I would share vidoes of my kid on a website.
@Anonymous…………LOL, who you kidding????? You’ll be back. They all come back. I didn’t insult anyone. I just stated my opinion. So, I guess its OK to come on a message board when everyone agress with everyone. God forbid any sort of original thought being expressed.
@ziva ur a cunt. Hes a proud dad and hes showin off his kid because hes proud of his child. Maybe if u had a kid u would understand or even if ur dad cared for u and showed u off u would understand but u dont so just shut up and stop being a dick. You think you own this site and your comments are just stupid. That kid is probably better than u will ever be u piece of shit
Sretan put onda!
And I can find way more info about our croatian sports on google than this website
@ziva
It’s 2013, get used to it. It’s not 1970 where nothing was in public. Quit crying and just accept it there nothing you can do. I’m sure once you get kids you will post pics if you ever decide to quit acting like you’re a god on this website. This website used to be enjoyable to read, now all it is, is people trying to one up the person by making other people feel like shit. I am officially done with this website. Bye
Holy wow Perisic!
Luka got nothing from his transfer. From what I know, he didn’t have a clause in his contract gave him a certain percentage of the transfer fee. In most cases the players don’t get nay of the transfer money unless they had a provision in their contract.
Many Hajduk players have a provision in their contracts that alllow them to get a certain percentage, but that only happens because Hajduk is run by idiots and the managers/agents have too much control.
Does anyone know what percentage Luka got from his transfer fee to RM? Would it be as high as 30%?
@TheGoldenChild……I never understood why people post videos/images of their family on public forums/websites. To me – and this is just me – its a form of soliciting compliments/feedback. Anytime I post on twitter or Facebook its to get a reply on a specific topic. People should be proud of their kids, but I don’t see the reason for posting images and videos of children. I guess most people want to be celebrities.
For most nations the windown closes on Jan. 31 midnight. Ukraine and Russia’s transfer window goes into mid_feb and late Feb.
@Ziva
I’m guessing that’s all sarcasm from you.
@Jack V
YouTube and Google are you friends. You should be able to find a lot of stuff on drills for the little guy. I was surprised to see a ref in for a kids game though. What an easy gig for that guy.
@Nepoznat
I believe it’s the 31st of Jan at end of business.
when does the transfer window close?
@ sharing stuff on the internet
in this day and age, people do post entirely too much stuff on the internet. facebook is notorious for this – do I need to see a video of your kid pick his nose? do i need to see a new self potrait of yourself everyday? do i need i need to see random viral videos? no, no and no
a video of your kid playing soccer is borderline – i’d send it to family and friends, of course – but post it in a forum with a bunch of random dudes in the 18-40 male demographic, ehhh most of them probably wouldn’t give a shit, sorry to say
Perisic volley against hertha… Amazing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ljoSYASYOU
@Mitch……..do you want a hug?
@ Jack – have a look at the Coerver videos mate. All skills based and a great way to teach your boy the skills he needs.
Ziva – a bigger majmun you will not find! Try giving a compliment and make someone feel better.
People that put up images or videos of their kids and/or their own accomplishments on this website or on Facebook or on other websites are doing nothing but compliment fishing.
I will never understand why people would share moments with their family with a much larger audience full of people they have never met. To me, it compliment fishing. People share way too much of their personal lives.
For instance, I am trying to help my son improve his outside turns. Does anyone know of any fun, organic drills to aid in this?
And lets be honest, it is the same 100 people that view these articles on a regular basis, its not as if I put it on GOAL.com.
@ Everyone:
Thanks for the feedback. I don’t have too many friends that are into soccer, that I can ask questions about youth development etc..
Additionally, I know many of you have far more playing/ coaching experience than me and I value your input.
IMHO it is hard to take any coaches or trainers opinions seriously because you are paying them for their services.
@Ziva:
It is douchey, but my heart is in the right place.
I live FOR my children not THROUGH my children. I have no complaints about my educational, financial or personal accomplishments, but my children are everything to me.
If this was just a website, why would you dedicate so much time creating posts via your alter ego?
@Ziva:
You are a huge dick.
@Ziva-look at what you did,you even made Dave pissed ,so much so that he wrote in from his phone.
P.s my apologises for the spelling errors. Did the the comment via phone.
Ziva u make me sick. If the man is proud of his kid let him show it. Its about soccer and he is croatian. If it bothers u skip his post. If i read half the dumb shit u wrote i would be telling u to get a new tag like other than get your homer glasses off. Like seriously that line is pure strugleling.
@Ziva-“Why would you post videos of your kid on a website????,No need to live through your kid”
This statement pretty much seems to sum up who you really are and what you are about,and it aint pretty.Living in your moms basement,I guess that you dont have kids, as wisely, no woman has bred with you yet.
I am actually surprised that you didnt claim that the istina on the kid was that he was too highly rated and that his move really was not anything special and that anyone who thinks it was a good move needs to take of their homer glasses,or even that the kid is just injury prone and a glass man or some kind of label.
You have truly lived up to your actual stage name of “Zivi Seronja” on this one.
I now await your lame responses on all the reasons why this video should not have been put up.
Don’t be a fucking asshole ziva
Petra Martic loses in two sets to Misaki Doi. Karlovic on serve in first set
The 4 other Croats play tomorrow
Why would you post videos of your kid on a website???? No need to live through your kid.
Modric is not leaving Madrid in this transfer window. Now, if Real end up finishing 30 plus points behind Barca and go out to man u in the chamoions league, you might see Real cleaning house when the season is over. At that point they would want to get rid of the players who can’t perform at the highest of levels.
I doubt Krancjcar is going to leave dynamo in this transfer window. I doubt another top club is going to pay him anything close to what he is stealing in the Ukraine. I think they are paying kranjcar in food.
back to reality for Jelavic
Latest I read Rakitic is staying at Sevilla, he doesn’t want to go to Russia anyway. Sevilla need money, but they will probably sell Negredo rather than Rakitic
Rumors that Kranjcar is leaving Dynamo Kiev, I think the guy is done personally, doesn’t seem motivated anymore
@ Jack V
Nothing wrong in being proud of your son. But the Hajduk jersey though… lol
Modric has no chance to make it at Real Madrid. Their style of play just doesn’t suit his passing skills. He needs to get out of Madrid during this transfer window otherwise his year is done
@Jack V-Not only are you a mega douche dad,you are a huge jock sniffer in your Hajduk jersey.Well done on both fronts though! Thats great stuff. 😉
@ Jack V.
Nice!
Paper cuts are tough man…don’t judge
Mario Mandzukic
http://sportske.jutarnji.hr/nijemci-promijenili-plocu—mario-gomez-se-trese-dok-mandzukic-para-mreze–/1078248/
Ilicevic was injured again. This time he suffered a paper cut to his thumb. Probably out for a month.
@ Ivan.
Good question. Ilicevic could help us on the right wing.
Like to see Mandza upfront with 5 mids across.
Anyone know what’s up with Ivo Ilicevic?? Is he injured as usual or?
It looks like Mandzukic had an assist for that 3rd goal
Modric not good today just like the whole team
2nd goal.
He actually scored against Standard Liege on Thursday.
Mandzo with another goal todayu as well.
Perisic has his first goal for Wolfsburg in a friendly vs Hertha BSC
Modric subbed in the 68′ minute for Ozil

3 suspensions for Madrid. If modric can’t use this opportunity to prove himself…he’s is about as useful as my nipples.
