Luka Modrić started for Real Madrid and played all 90 minutes as they dropped points in a 1-1 draw with relegation contenders Real Zaragoza. Luka picked up a yellow card in the 11th minute for a handball and his turnover was the catalyst to Zaragoza’a goal. He completed 54 out of 62 passes and created 2 chances. Goal.com gave Luka a 2.5/5, saying “He let the ball get away from him which was pivotal to the concession of the opening goal. He did not dwell on it and tried to orchestrate the side from midfield.” Real remain 2nd in La Liga after the draw.
Ivan Rakitić played the full match for Sevilla as they were defeated 1-0 by Levante. Sevilla generated 25 shots but were unable to put any past Levante keeper Gustavo Munua. Ivan had two shots of his own, including one that forced a difficult save from Munua. He created five chances, and completed 53 passes. Sevilla dropped to 11th with the loss.

Bayern München warmed up for Tuesday’s Champions League quarterfinal with a 9-2 win over Hamburg on Saturday. Croatian international, Mario Mandžukić, looked on from the sideline as Claudio Pizarro reached the back of the net four times in the win. The former Dinamo Zagreb striker should get the start on Tuesday against Juventus. Croatian international, Milan Badelj, had no answer for Bayern’s powerful attack and was downright awful as a defensive midfielder for Hamburg. Ivo Iličević remains sidelined because of an abdominal injury.

Ivica Olić finished off March in style after scoring a wundergol in a 2-2 draw against Nürnberg Saturday. The former Dinamo Zagreb striker started and played the full 90 minutes but only managed to get one shot on goal. However, one shot on goal, one chance at goal is all what Ivica needed to remind the doubters(including myself) that there is no such thing as an Ivica Olić-like goal. Ivica found the back of the net for the fifth game in a row with a beautiful curling shot just outside the box.

Srdjan Lakić returned to the Frankfurt starting lineup after missing the last two games. The 29-year-old striker started and played 67 minutes in a 3-2 win over Greuther Fürth. Srdjan played well and came close to scoring twice. With the win, Frankfurt are fighting with Schalke for the fourth and final Champions League spot.
“It was a difficult match. Twice I almost scored. It’s a shame that I didn’t score at least once.”

Ivan Klasnić remains sidelined for Mainz and the Croatian international wonders if he will suit up for Mainz the rest of the season: “We shall see if I will even play for Mainz again this season. I want to be 100% fit before I play and there aren’t that many games left.” Ivan’s contract expires at the end of the season and the 33-year-old striker doesn’t have a plan for next season: “We will see what the future will bring. I am not worried. I just want to get back to training,” Ivan tells Sportske Novosti.
Mateo Pavlović looked on from the bench as Werder Bremen tied 1-1 at Mainz on Saturday.
ENGLAND
Nikica Jelavić played the full 90 minutes for Everton on Saturday after not seeing the pitch at all for Croatia in their two matches over the international break. Although Kevin Mirallas’ 28th minute coast-to-coast goal was all Everton needed for the 1-0 victory over Stoke City, Jela had tons of chances to get one of his own. Jelavić had a monstrous day with six shots (3 on goal) but couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net. After a spectacular last half of the season for Everton last year coming from Rangers, Jelavić has been anything but great in his sophomore campaign. Everton sit four points behind England’s last Champions League spot.
UKRAINE
Shakhtar Donetsk captain Darijo Srna had to sit out Saturday’s 2-1 win over Karpaty due to a yellow card suspension. With the win, Shakhtar remain 16 points ahead of Dynamo Kiev for the Ukrainian Premier League lead; with only eight games remaining in the season. Eduardo came off the bench in the 80th minute for Luiz Adriano.
Domagoj Vida played the full 90 minutes for Dynamo Kiev in their 2-0 shutout win over Chornomorets on Sunday. The win propels Dynamo to sole possession of second place in Ukraine, one point ahead of Metalist for the last Champions League spot. Niko Kranjčar was left off the squad due to a knock he picked up versus Serbia on March 22nd.
Nikola Kalinić and Dnipro keep missing golden opportunities to make their case for a Champions League berth for next season as they once again dropped points to lesser competition, drawing Volyn 1-1 on Sunday. Dnipro’s Douglas was sent off in the 20th minute which led to a 1-0 Volyn lead via penalty kick. Kalinić came on at halftime but couldn’t find the winner, even with two Volyn players being red carded in the 60th and 70th minutes. With the draw, Dnipro remain two points behind Dynamo Kiev for the last Champions League spot. It is unknown why defender Ivan Strinić did not dress for this match.

Lyon dropped to third place in Ligue 1 after falling 2-1 at home to Sochaux on Sunday. Former Dinamo Zagreb defender, Dejan Lovren, had a nightmare of a performance after giving up the game winner with just minutes left in the game. Lovren started the match and played the full 90 minutes in the loss. The Croatian international lost the ball to Sio and then gave up a pass between his legs to Bakambu to sidefoot home the winner. The Frech media have blasted Dejan and question his spot on Lyon and the Croatian national team.

RUSSIA
Stipe Pletikosa returned from the international break and started in net for Rostov in a 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Moscow. He was not at fault for the goal and made a couple easy saves. Rostov was only able to generate one chance in the entire match and they are tied for 12th with 22 games played.
Vedran Ćorluka played the full match for Lokomotiv Moscow as their poor form continued in a 2-0 loss to Rubin Kazan. After grasping just one point in the last three matches, Loko have slipped down to tenth in the Russian Premier League.
“I’m concerned about our lack of scoring. Against Dinamo we had many chances, we had a few against Spartak and Rubin but have not scored.” –Slaven Bilić
Tomislav Dujmović went the distance for Mordovia Saransk as they continue to pull themselves out of the relegation zone with a 2-0 away win over Kryliya Sovetov. Tomo picked up a yellow card int he 49th minute. After picking up nine points in their first 19 matches, Mordovia have won two of their three matches since their return from a lengthy winter break.
Ognen Vukojević was an unused sub in Spartak Moscow’s 2-2 draw against Kuban Krasnodar.

Croatia’s real “Goldenchild” Mateo Kovačić, started and played the full 90 minutes in inter’s 2-1 loss against soon to be Serie A champions Juventus on Saturday. The former Dinamo Zagreb midfielder played well and received the highest grade out of any Inter player from Goal.com. Inter’s manager, Andrea Stramaccioni, also had some nice things to say about the future of Croatian football: “Kovačić is growing from match to match and I have a lot of confidence in its capabilities. He is the future of Inter’s midfield and just has to keep doing what he’s doing.” With the loss, Inter dropped to sixth in Serie A, 10 points behind Milan for the final Champions League spot.
Marko Livaja was dropped for Atalanta’s nil-nil draw with Sampdoria on Saturday due to disciplinary reasons. La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Livaja snapped at manager Stefano Colantuono during a game between ranks and reacted angrily to a suggestion. “Livaja misses this match due to disciplinary reasons. These things happen, but he has to learn how to respect the rules, ” explained Coach Stefano Colantuono.
Ante Vukušić missed out on the Pescara’s 3-0 loss to Parma because of a flu. The former Hajduk Split striker should return for Saturday’s game at Juventus.

@Ante B.
This is why you are one of the best on line here. You know the difference and you were taught well by your parents. Too much jugo trash on this site promoting bs.
I’m definitely not a Hercegovac (my kids one day will be half though) and I proudly have a picture of Pavelic up in my house. Along with a Cross, Last Supper, Croatian flag…you know, the things all Croatians had up before 1991.
Whenever I hear people talking about wishing they could bring back Tito, and Soviet “Clones.” It reminds me of the G.I. Joe episode where they harvested the DNA of history’s tyrants and cloned the evil “Serpentor.”
Hey man im not chupe dude i never said anything against anyone bro.
@chupe
You sound like that idiot Miro. Keep crying for your old jugo and preaching your bs.
@ Ontario cro you must be a hercegovac UUUUUU pavelic posters in your house right?
I believe the story that he wasn’t the real Tito but a Soviet clone.
@TGC, does your mom have roots in Banja Luka? Because, that is where Mateo is from… Family escaped the war to Linz, Austria. Actually, most people from his village went to Linz.
Technically im the #1 goldenchild. My moms side is actually kovacic…..so my distant cousin comes im as #2 because of age
@croathrvat Tito regime was underpinned by autocratic rule. Although you could say Yugoslavia somewhat prospered economically during his tenure hrvati were nevertheless oppressed due to his autocratic regime. Democracy ftw!
Udba radi
So many Hrvati were killed/sufferred because of Tito and his party but you idiots play this game.
Both Chupe and Bojna Cavoglava both have positive things to say about Tito however Chupe says ‘I’m not a Tito fan’ and Bojna says ‘As much as it pains me to say it’…why is this the case? What is it about Tito that people are so afraid to show allegiance to?
As much as it pains me to say it, at least during the Tito days there was work and money to be made for the average joe in croatia. Croatia is borderline poverty stricken. The cold hard facts.
Just like josipovic and milanovic screwed you.
Alot are crying in croatia i can tell you that much HDZ and Tudman screwed us big time
Incredible. People now crying for Tito and old jugo. Sramota.
In the old yuga in the 70s alot of tention was made by this term Pravi Hrvat crap tht still goes on today i love that we have croatia but whats a country if you dont have leaders to run it and Tito was a leader ok people say he killed croatians he himself did not kill them the people those followed orders like commie neighbors who live like king in todays croatia they are the ones who are flip floppers and in the Jugo days people worked and money and tito never sayed leave but dont come back, im not a tito supporter but facts are facts and until we stop with this pravi hrvat crap we will never be one nation but a nation diveded by crime and hate.
Was Tito a fascist? Was he a good man? Would you prefer his style of politics over the current style we have across the Western world?
That’s right, there was some graffitti a couple of summers back, and some signs were vandalised, but othing major. The far bigger problem longer term is the IDS – the party who basically control Istria and are always threating autonomy as a first step towards joining Italy, if they don’t get what they want. The IDS also stopped the Thompson concert in Umag.
Good idea about Mamic being best placed to buy some knocked off nukes – maybe he could swap Sammir for one of them?
I found this pic
http://dalje.com/en-croatia/istria-graffiti-vandals-destroyed-nob-monuments/169790
@Marko.
If we need nukes Mamic can get them for us.
@Marko
I think I read that some punks put up some irredentist graffetti up there a couple of years ago. Are there Croats there that think they are Italian? As far as I know the Italian population is very small. I know they stopped Thomspon from playing there and that pissed me off.
Toni – you’re absolutely right, I heard that too from my dad.
Elvis – all the signs in Istria are already Croatian/ Italian bilingual unfortunately, and you just have to walk past any bookshop in Trieste to see all the “nostra Dalmazzia” books, posters and other guff people there still lap up.
Not sure if Croatia can afford a couple of nukes right now, but maybe there are some cut price options going cheap on eBay which Milanovic could bid for?
What I love about Italian irredentist’s is that they want their deaths and expulsions classfied as genocide. I have to laugh, what about the people they killed or lives ruined. My Baba told me while she was alive that the Germans were honorable but the Italian troops in Dalmatia were pure crap.
Marko……then maybe Croatia should build a couple of nukes. Croatia is tied into the US and I don’t think we need to fear
Italian expansion.
@CroatHrvat
Fascism in my opinion is a political system/government that is geared towards promoting the advancement of the strong over the weak. It is the states job to protect and foster the advancement of the smartest and strongest in society. The Uberman so to speak. Think of it like this….if you had a limited amount of healthcare dollars would you use it to help the young and fit or spend the money on the old and weak. Its a tough system and emotions take a back seat. However, in the long run you would have seven foot tall geniuses.
@Croatia vs. Antwerp
The only thorn to Turkeys ambitions are the Orthodox peoples. Their dislike and out right hatred against Muslims and Turkey
might help keep them at bay. Left alone I really think they would kick turkey out. However, it’s the U.S. and E.U. that promote this Ottoman expansion. Its always about money and Turkey has more purchasing power so they are allowed to promote their crap.
The Italian Populations are very small but of course that can change. I was convinced that they would have bought up most of the coast by now. It hasn’t materalized yet. We have good relations with most Italians and I don’t think we really have any thing to worry about with them. However, we still need to play them againist someone and the obvious choice would be the Germans.
Di Canio describes himself as a fascist, just like lots of Italians who still think they can steal Istria and Dalmatia back from us. Whatever you think of Di Canio (who seems to be a very confused individual), the rise of Italian fascists are going to be far more of a problem for Croatia in the future than any other neighbours we have.
Sadly Croatia doesn’t have an option to become another Switzerland, given its location – our neighbours are just too volatile.
i think its often used a s a general term for very authoritarian regimes and di canio is more talking about hsi support specific for mussolini thinx
Nobody uses the word “fascist” more than the English.
@jack v
Your description describes american ghettos
@ Iggy
That’s exactly why I was looking into it…Di Canio is all over the English media for being a fascist, even the BBC had a hard time trying to explain what fascism is:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8316271.stm
@CroatHrvat
“what is fascism and what makes a fascist?”
on what makes someone.. if they are named PAULO DI CANIO
LOLOLOLOLOLOL HIGH FIVING SELFVING ***
I keep hearing about fascism. I still have no idea what it really means. I’ve tried googling, reading articles etc.
Can someone on here give me their opinion on what is fascism and what makes a fascist?
@ Elvis
Lol. I find most footballers to be on the feminine side.
I just like to see Croatians in and out of Croatia be successful.
It depresses me to see Croatia suffer in economic squalor with good people and great land to create prosperity.
We have to admit that the current state of affairs is not working for the people.
I am for any innovation that will allow Croatia to evolve.
Mandzukic again produces the goods in front of goal!
@Matesic Method:
Parents not being parents is a huge problem for the children.
Too many men serially banging skanks and women whoreing it up instead of dedicating available resources to their offspring.
Add in booze, drugs and every other distraction and many kids don’t have a shot.
agree totes about eu being a mistake
The Eu is a big mistake for Croatia its just more reason for the rich to get richer and poor well idont know how poorer people can get in croatia
@ Elvis
A gentle version of the Ottoman empire? Couldn’t stop laughing when I read that.
If people thought WW I spelled the end of the Ottoman Empire, boy they were wrong. Like a parasite laying dormant for a century, now it’s starting to infect its host.
@ Toni
They are trying to develop a cultural and political sphere of influence in South Eastern Europe. Once all those nations and Turkey join the EU, they will become a voting bloc. And serve as a counterweight to France and Germany, in effort to get more power and further their “cause.”
Mandzo had a great game today bravo!
@Matesic
He is the least of our problems but are you sure he is 100% Bro.
@ Elvis
Eduardo is Broatian.
Croatia should definitely follow Swiss strategy.
The EU’s sole purpose is to enforce a multi-cultural agenda. Be honest what else do they do?
Turkey is trying to force itself into the EU by any means. They think Bosnia will get in and they can always buy Croatian polticans off for support. Now if the borders open we are done. With the Muzzies in Western Europe and with the addition of millions of more Turks in the EU they will dictate policy to us. Greece has over 3 million illegals of which 90% are muslims. Mind you Greece has a pop of about 10 million. The future looks bleek. Western Europe has no leadership and are more concerned with Homosexual rights.
@Croatia vs. Antwerp
http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2013-03-24/world/37989855_1_turkish-students-turkish-leaders-turkish-aid
Sarajevo looks like Istanbul.
@Croatia vs. Antwerp
Neo-Ottomanism is real and Turkey openly admits it. We need to make sure that the Muslims turn coats never get to comfortable with us. Once you allow to many of them in
your ruined. Turkey as well as other muslim states have been funding Islamic schools and militant groups in Bosna, Albania, Southern Serbia, and Macedonia. They are building a foothold. The EU is guttless.
@ Elvis
The two biggest threats we face as a nation is the rise of “Neo-Ottomanism” and the Eurocrats in the EU.
I feel as though we are caught in the middle of two great forces. Our model should be Switzerland, a small proud nation that never let itself be subjugated.
If we stay on this course I fear a dark dystopian future.
Which game is everyone watching? Barca-PSG or Bayern-Juve?
Finally a good poll question from CSR.
I’m going with Mandzukic just because he will most likely have played a larger part in Bayern winning than Modric would play in Real Madrid winning.
Plus i dont want that whiny little cunt Ronaldo winning anything. I wanna see that bitch cry.
@Matesic
We gave him the ability to earn a fortune and a Croatian wife. Just call him what he is a “foreign national who we signed because he could score goals” but please dont call him Croatian.
Anyhow, this is a European problem and not just Croatia’s. Yes the Huns killed our king and to this day they think we are a part of greater Hungary. Lets make sure that we do not blink again.
@ Elvis
I believe the Repka should be for Croatians first and foremost.
But give Eduardo respect for 2008 in Wimbley he put on a master-class performance.
You blink and we can be Hungary talking about Suker like he was Puskas.
For any of you that plan to go to Brazil for the WC please becareful. Brazil is a savage place.
http://www.miamiherald.com/2013/04/02/3319198/us-french-tourists-kidnapped-1.html
@T.O. So the truth comes out about DaSilva LOL. You see he used us for a career and a fat check. There will be more of this coming as long as you allow foreigners onto our shores.
So I ask you should we built a team on tradition and folk or a team made up of mercenaries?
@ Jack V
I do not know about Gods work but it is a Sacred rite of passage for a boy to become initiated into manhood. One that is being bastardized by many institutions.
Lionheartleadershipacademy.org is our next project.
Would love to have Croatian 6th grader in the program.
@ CSR
tough choice you put out there. I have to go with Modric because sooner or later Bayern always treat us like rented mules.
19Miro50,
Dudu only played U21 for Croatia and he has often stated that Brasil would have been his first choice. He only decided to play for Croatia when he realized the likelihood of him playing for Brasil was slim to none…
Ever notice that crazy fired up look in Olic’s eyes? Plus the spikey hair, and that is one bad dude you don’t want to mess with.
Just ask Serbia’s Marko Scepovic–hailed as their great hope–Olic smashes this guy within the first 9 min of the match and he gets strechered off. Running at players? How about destroying them.
I liked the way he drew the Serbian defense and then had the presence of mind to square to Mandzu.
Here is another sick Olic video, it has some spectacular goals:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAuGG654xFM
One thing Olic is good at is running at defenders for sure and lets be honest that’s a department we have been lacking in as others have said.. i like olic but i wish he would show some of his club skills more for the repka..
maybe eduardo just needs more game time he should move to another club?
Hey boys since the man plays for the repka; can we include Schildenfeld on the Croaitians Around Europe updates.
Also anyone have new updates for Illicevic. Has the kid really been out for so long only because of an abdominal strain??
Haven’t seen anyone really talk about here but did Stimac use some Mourinho tactics. Cuz the Modric, Corluka, and Lovren suspensions only means they have no chance of missing either Serbia or Belgium games due to cards. And missing the Scotland (grp bottom feaders) is the best game to be suspended for. Seems like a great group management technique to me.
@Iggy
On one of the three chances the goalie made a nice save. But on the other two chances they are complete one hundred percent sitters. One of them goes completely wide. Not just that, Eduardo missed about 5 or 6 “easy” chances against Wales in October in Osijek that he should have easily buried but that is ok I guess? Most of them as easy as the Olic miss against the Turks in 08 and I would say easier. Olic had a bad game against the Turks in 08; I am not disputing that but people won’t let it go either. He scored the game winner against the Germans and he creates the penalty kick against Austria in the first game and had a great tournament all things being equal. In regards to the Turkey 08 game, can we not rely on anyone else to score? I guess the reason we lost the game was solely due to Ivica Olic? Can’t anyone else pick up the slack? All I know is that Olic was not on the field when the Turks tied the game and he was not involved with the shootout and the bottom line is we win and lose as a team. At the same time I firmly believe that if we had Eduardo in 08 we would have won the tournament. Similarly, I believe if Bilic would have called Olic up for Euro 2012, as he was not injured, we would have beat Italy or Spain with him off the bench. Olic did pick up a knock against Norway in our last friendly before the tournament but the media blew that out of proportion and Bilic did not call him back to the team. He was ready to play. Did he complain? Nope.
Go back up in this thread and look for a post from “StanleyKubrick” with a bunch of links to Olic’s goals which shoot down your 99.9% theory. When I say all of this I have absolutely nothing but the utmost respect for Eduardo as he is a tremendous player, but he has missed a lot of chances as of late. The bottom line is he did score the one that we really needed against Wales and evidently Olic will continue to play under a microscope that is specifically made for him and nobody else on our team. Which is fine with me.
@IvicA
Brazil is a nasty nasty place. PERIOD.
@Croatia vs. Antwerp
Olic can dribble. You don’t smoke by Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra if you cannot dribble and speed kills! Olic is a monster!

@Matesic Method:
That’s awesome!
I don’t know how you religious you are, but you are doing God’s work.
A friend of mine is a HS basketball coach in NYC, he tells me some of the horror stories. It is very sad to say the least.
WIth the divorce rate in Croatia on the rise, I fear that a lot more of what you describe.
@ Elvis and Toni
I love Croatia and want Svi Hrvati to prosper!
I have found that our boys over there have the same issues that inner city kids have over here. Lack of real training and mentorship to allow them to create a vision for themselves and their life.
I bought two kids over from Rijeka to a New England Prep school, got them too late. One was a stud but lacked confidence and the other was on a field trip. I made a mistake taking two and back then did not have enough resources to really support them.
Two kids of my own now to raise.
Next time I do something I will ensure a successful outcome.
It takes a lot of resources to do it right. I have my guys in Rijeka and Zadar I will work directly with.
Check out some cool dribbling skills by Olic:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tK7W-vseb_s
He was also the fastest player in Euro 2008. Clocking 32 km/h. Not bad compared to Bolt, who clocks 38 km/h.
And From the looks of it, Olic’s engine is still roaring!
It’s time our people stood together side by side
It’s time we stood and fought against the media’s lies
The capitalists and the communists, well they co-exist
If you love your country, you’ll be on their list
The sands of time are running out for this land
It’s time the people stood and raised their hands
It’s time we drove out the traitors that we can see
Now is the time this nation should be free, free my land
Looks like Modric got the start vs. Zargoza and was at fault for the goal (he lost possession). Anyone catch the game? If he got the start yesterday he’s definitely not gonna get much time vs Galatassary on Wed.
I’ve been to Rio De Janeiro before. It’s not pretty.
It’s very dangerous, very polluted, the food is bad, and the women are surprisingly unattractive. Sure there are a couple of bombshells due to the insane levels of plastic surgery there, but it’s a huge minority.
Re: the danger…I felt very sorry for a lot of the people there because there are some very good people there. That country is just too big of a mess to clean up. It’s a real eye opener.
I can’t believe someone here actually said that Cro is third world compared to Brazil. What a fool. You cannot compare it to Cro. It doesn’t come close in any category.
@CousinBilo – cheers bro : )
The olic miss against turkey 2008 from right in front was pretty bad tbh..
I was reading before euro2008 tourney that dudu during qualifying scored with every shot he had at goal.. i thought that was unbelievable but thats what the article said..
also i dont think he missed sitters against wales.. their keeper made a couple of really good saves (especially the header he hit into the ground as you should do and keeper still saved it).. there’s a diff between keeper making great saves like with dudu and olic missing an open goal from a couple metres out against turkey that any one of us would have scored..
@Chupe
Its actually very hard to get croatian citizenship, at least from the buecratic aspect, it takes forever (talk to my brothers). And I dont believe you get citizenship just for working here. I know a Mexican guy that works in the international exchange office at ZSEM. Hes been here ten years and still doesnt have citizenship. Maybe he doesnt want it, or loses mexican if he takes croatian, but I dont think its easy per say.
@19Miro50
I wouldnt take a job in Croatia for only 5000kn, that is if you want to live in Zagreb. Unless you plan to be like those hipsters in brooklyn where their parents send them money every month. You figure a 50 square meter apartment in zagreb is going to cost you 400 euro, plus utilities. Car, forget about it, and any sort of luxury would be quite impossible to have. I lived in student housing for nine months paying 200kn a month, received money from the US government for a scholarship around 2000$ a month, I was able to save half of it (completely unintenionally) only because I paid nothing for my apartment (room really). Id say to have a roughly decent lifestyle in ZG assuming you dont already own an apartment, you would need minimal 10,000kn. I understand everyone can live with less, but I really do mean roughly decent lifestyle. I know what roughing it is after staying in that shit, post-commy student housing in ZG
@Toni
You apply for citizenship through the embassy. The US embassdor comes to cleveland once a month. Check when he comes to your city or Im sure you can file paperwork directly to the embassy in DC. If youre canadian or australian, I imagine its a similar process for your respective embassay
Ola is the motor for his lacks skill he makes up for it with his determanation and heart.
@Sismisscovjek
I agree. Olic brings a lot to the table. I was referring more to things like first touch, and dribbling. They both have awesome instincts though.
@19Miro50
We did not have good midfield support in 2002 and 2004 and Olic was no worse than anyone else in 2002, 2004, and 2006. Tudor was our worse player in 2006! Easily!
Olic did have a bad game against the Turks in 2008 and people never seem to let him live it down. He was not on the field when Turkey tied up the game and it was not all his fault that we lost that game. You win and lose as a team! Olic has more than made up for that game since but for some reason his mistakes are put under a microscope compared to everyone else on our team.
Until recent Olic has been beyond bad in Big games
wc 2002 ekvador euro 2004 wc 2006 euro 2008 turkey
wc 2010 qaulifying 1 good game euro 2012 injured only good in turkey first leg.
@Horvat:
Thanks for the link.
@Jack V
“With my awful American accented peasant Croatian, I feel safe going anywhere in Croatia. I can’t say the same for Brazil.”
One wrong turn in Brazil and it will be your last turn. PERIOD.
@Poglavnik
Their skill levels are actually quite close when you factor in the stuff Olic can do that Eduardo cannot. Eduardo has better first touch and is a better dribbler.
In big games just put Olic in. He is a monster.
Id move back to croatia if a job was waiting for me 5,000 kunas a month good for me only if that corruption would stop
@Matesic Method:
Thanks for the info.
I disagree with the Brazil comparison. Enormous GDP doesn’t hide the fact that the country is not safe.
With my awful American accented peasant Croatian, I feel safe going anywhere in Croatia. I can’t say the same for Brazil.
I have had many Brazillian acquaintances over the years and their anecdotes are scary.
Re: Croatian Citizenship for anybody with Cro roots.
Ireland started doing this big time after they realized that non Irish immigration had some undesirable side effects.
If Croatia could develop and economy that retained its best and brightest and welcomed back its shipwrecked sons and daughters, life would be good.

@ Poglavnik i agree tako je
I love Olic, but if you’re talking abut pure skill its not even close.
Eduardo’s got more skill in his big toe than Olic has in both feet.
I respect everyones opinions but for me that turkey goal wasnt spin chilling, yes the serbian one yes nothing like beating the balkan ex jugo susjedi prso 2004 and olic mandzo 2013 and counting cannot wait for the beograd game!
@19Miro50
“This will always be better than Olic jedan nula”
Prso was lucky that Marko Simeunovic was a horrible goalie! What was he doing on that play?? lol
Olic against Turkey in 2011 is better than the Prso goal and so is the goal below against Serbia!

No Chupe just a follower of Ante Starčević.
I think you can apply for Citizenship at your local travel agent.
Its too easy to get croatian citizenship
1 if you have roots from croatia you get them
2 if you live in croatia and work 7 years you get them.
He i believe 2001 when he was 17 he choose croatia my cousin played with him at the under levels.
Miro at what age did DaSilva realize that he was a Croat 9?
@ Elvis Acutally Croatia was Eduardo first choice because he played for under 15-21 croatia teams so yeah you mean Sammir
Elvis must be a Bosnian Hrvat
Croatia was Sertic’s second choice just like Da Silva’s first choice was Brazil. He obviously is a douche.
No Antisa im agianst that too in that regard i think i cannot believe im saying this Sammir has more of right than Sertic
And for the record I’m against Gregory Sertic playing for us. Does that make me anti French?
I dont think he will start ive noticed stimac only plays him in away games for now imagine a half emply maksimir agianst scotland and everyone booes us?
Miro Sammir will start like there was any doubt.
Ok Elvis but if olic score agianst turkey in 2008 that siiter no revenge game would have happedn hahha but what ever,
Koga ćete koristiti u lipnju protiv Škotske umjesto požutjelih Modrića i Ćorluke?
– U obrani imamo Šimunića i Schildenfelda, u veznom redu jaku konkurenciju Rakitića, Kranjčara, Badelja, Vukojevića i Kovačića.

The 2010 Campaign was nightmare from the first game on. We drew the UKR twice. Didn’t Olic score twice againist the Belo-Russians in one game? To be honest he missed one and should have had three goals LOL. Yes DaSilva has scored but it doesn’t mean the same. That Olic goal had a lot of sadness and anger built up behind it and when he scored it was like a volcano of emotions exploding. I fell out of my chair screaming. It came so quick like a dagger thrown right between the eyes of those dirty Turks.
When was Olic hurt for 2010 no he was not man Luka yes for second half of qaulifying but olic was there terrible against england Ukraine twice i love Olic but facts are facts im not blaming olic for 2010 but he is not a guy to count on for goals thats all Eduardo 27 goals 54 caps!
Olic got hurt during the 2010 WC campaign and Luka had his leg broken. No super Mario then.

@ Elvis who took us to euro 2008 and why didnt we go to 2010? How many sitters did Olic miss in his career daj molim te volim olic on je srce ekipe but facts are fact
http://www.vecernji.hr/sport/vijesti/ekskluzivno-sammir-se-pridruzuje-ibrahimovicu-beckhamu-psg-u-clanak-532131 April fools!
19Miro50…..Olic scored one of the greatest goals in our history in that Turkey playoff game. Jedan-Nula!
It will be remembered by me forever. DaSilva missed like 3 sitters last game.
@ Matesic……Uptown Manhattan did you go to Columbia? What’s scary is that we look a like. However, I have more muscle tone and maybe a little bit more hair. I see you do work for inner city kids. Have you ever thought of going to Croatia and helping some of our poor youth or maybe you do?
Brazil is controlled by a white or a mostly white minority. Where they live I am sure it is very nice.
@Ante….Croats get first choice and no exceptions. I liked Prso however did he ever learn the anthem? Serbs can play if they swear allegiance to Croatia and maybe a first born.
Where are these recent Olic fans comming from ive been watching football mre than most on this site Ivica Olic score more goals untile recent that turek game and the 2 qualifyers ill give him that but lets go in order WC 2002 scores agianst Italija and the next day says razbiti cemo ekvador 5-0 he was terrible that game euro 2004 scores that goal agianst bulgaria which was all Prso and looked like a own goal, goes to euro 2004 misses a sitter against swiss wc 2006 uzas euro 2008 missed sitter agianst turkey. 2010 wc qualyfying one good game 2012 just the turkey game. so for me more bad than good for Olic i would take 11 olics than any foreighner on the national team
@Matesic
We have to protect our borders. Croatia is a very small country with a negative birth rate. Our best and young leave to go work else where. We fought a war to free ourselves of a foreign element that had its hand in everything. People have said that 30% of our Government is Serbian now add a boat load of African/Arab migrants and we are done. If you think it won’t happem to us your wrong look at Greece. Even with the Golden Dawn and an economy so bad they still come. Greece has over 3 million illegals. Look at the great European cities of London or Paris. In ten years they will be no go zones for white people. I viisted Malmo Sweden two years ago and my Swede friend told me that in at least half the city your in danger if you are not a muslim. Wake up this is in their own countries…Imagine not being able to walk freely in our land. It will happen stand up and fight!
Decki,
I understand you want a “pure” Croatian team but if that was the case, we wouldn’t have had Prso, Rapaic or even pokojni Drazen playing for us.
It’s not about genes or race, it’s about who makes the te better. I have always been a Dudu supporter but never Sammir. It’s not about race obviously.
@Iggy
I’m reading some of these dudes telling you to tone down the language….
DONT DO IT BRO.
Cursing is like the spice of language, would you eat your janjetina without a little salt or garlic? No fucking way, you need those spices to get the right flavors across the the palate. So why would language be any different? I need those words like “Fuck” and “cunt” and “cunt rag”, they help me understand Iggy.
All i’m trying to say, is, rock on Iggy. Don’t let these prudes clip your wings bro.
@ Toni
So if I believe in our shared humanity I am a partizan?
Classic fascism at its best.
Croatia needs to come together as a community not a glorified tribe.
That shit is outdated by millennia.
It is 2013 come join the rest of the world with indoor plumbing.
@ Elvis
Humanity is in my background and I am 100% Croatian blood born in Uptown Manhattan!
Actually compared to Brazil it is Croatia that is the third world country.
Take your fascist crap and shove it up your ass.
Our people are broke because of it.
@Yoga dude aka Matesic
“bratstvo i jedinstvo”……… partizan
@MatesicMethod
Things you say are the same leftist crap that communists feed our people for so long. BTW I would not go to Brazil if it was free because 95% of it is a crime ridden slum. I will repeat to you….a homogenous Croatia is a happy Croatia. Our NT should be for our children only. Pure ethnic teams like Spain and Greece have won without third world Sammirs or DaSilvas. They are not Croats and they will never be nor will their children ever be. There must be something in your background that makes you so defensive.
Be careful when you visit those bath houses they are going to love you in your yoga pants.
@ Horvat
Thank you for your concern.
Who are you masquerading as?
@ Mr. Black
He played well that one game for us.
I would rather see him get some experience out there Sammir.
We have to develop some of these young guys going forward.
MatesicMethod,
These “EXPERIENCES” you are having are a combination of
the psychological and demonic (who want us to believe we are God). Demons can masquerade as “good” angels, avatars, ascended masters etc…
MatesicMethod :
Radosevic can’t play in our national team if he doesn’t even play for Napoli. Not saying the kid is not good enough but he should first get some playing time at Napoli.
Sorry again Jack V and MatesicMethod,
Here is the proper link: http://www.womenofgrace.com/blog/?cat=11
MatesicMethod, that is a lie that the new age wants people to believe. This stuff is ABSOLUTELY incomparable with Christianity. You and I are not God and we never will be.
No hard feelings, said with love!
@ Horvat
Actually around for thousands of years before Christ and Jesus went to India to “dable” himself.
Save me a spot in your eternal salvation.
Hvaljen Isus!
Jack V And MatesicMethod,
Sorry, here’s a more specific page: http://www.womenofgrace.com/blog/?s=Yoga
@ Ante B
Agree with you 100%.
I am speaking to the racist reaction that is transferring the real upset here.
The issue is with us and how WE are doing business as a footballing country. We have ceded all of our power to a few Mickey Mouse punks.
Sammir is a scrub.
The fact that he gets a call up and actually plays is ridiculous.
But does give some of us here to start spewing racist rants.
Play Radosevic DM, Kovacic for Modric and develop our young players against Scotland.
Jack V and MatesicMethod,
I used to be a rebel, proudly on his way to hell. However, Jesus changed my life. For your own good: no Catholic/Christian should ever dable in the New Age. That includes Yoga and Pilates. All these practices are seriously dangerous to a person’s eternal salvation!
See: http://www.womenofgrace.com/blog/?cat=925
@ Jack V
All you have to be open to is energetic awareness in the body.
No need to take on any cultural under pinnings. It’s all marketing. Let it be relevant to you.
Pilates is good for core strength but is a bit stiff and linear, better for women than men, as we need more core flexibility training.
Kids move naturally but start to lose it once in school all day sitting at desks. 6 years old is a good time to start introducing them to these movements to remain aware in their bodies.
Martial arts is a good foundation for any athlete but the next level can only be actualized from within.
you guys are being mean to my man lovren – i like him because hes BEAUTIFUL ! that lovely little beard he has ! so handsome ! LOLOL
but hey he’ll always be cool in my book thanks to that goal until he fucks up for NT hes alright with me
How on earth Lovren is a starter for Lyon is beyond me. He was even linked with Barca and Liverpool at one point, crazy! Schifo and Joe are certainly more steady and dependable.
Kolarov is just an attacking back with a powerful shot.
@Ivica
Kolarov was never touted as a great defender by real pundits. He was, and will always be, a great attacking back. He will never known for his defensive ability. Lovren is so scatter brained, but he seems to do well off of set pieces.
Sretan Uskrs to you all by the way.
I don’t understand why guys like Lovren and Kolarov are rated so highly. With so many errors and brain farts, who cares if they can run fast.
I’m not some expert team manager, but even I can see through the hype. Even Ivanovic messes up a lot. So many overrated defenders, yet we criticize our own defenders for not being as hyped yet they are a pretty steady and consistent group.
Lovren’s pre-Euro 2012 injury was a blessing for us and Schifo did great in that CB role. I hope I’m wrong but I really don’t think Lovren will ever be a steady player for us.
Why are you surprised? As much as I loved that belter last week, he has a reuputation of being at fault for what seems like at least a goal/game
What the tits was Lovren doing today he lost that game for Lyon
Two wrongs don’t make a right. Just because others do it doesnt mean anything to me. Yes, we’re talking cliches now. And that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
Does Sammir performance against Wales warrant another call up?
@Ante B:
Playing Sammir was a disgrace, but many NTs pull the same crap with getting caps for players so $$$ can be made.
So let me get my math right…
Not being good enough on the field and representing Croatia solely due to mafia connections = xenophobia?
ask your mom, Jack J.
@Matesic Method:
I just checked out your site. It looks pretty solid.
Being fairly ignorant of Yoga and skeptical of the Eastern Spiritual aspects I have never given it much thought.
However, it seems like it could aid in flexibility, strength and injury prevention.
At what age do you see student athletes using it?
Is the spiritual aspect integral or can you ignore the New Age Guru Trombone portion of it?
My son takes Karate and some eastern culture and Korean language is integral, but it is not over the top (IMHO). Is Yoga similar in this regard?
What are your thoughts on Pilates for core training of athletes?
2006 agianst australija who can forget but i blame the coach and ref for that game We havea good team and i hope we beat belgium in october
look im willing to cut the guy a break maybe against aus he was too emotional being an aussie also i dunno.. but i cant forget his crazy fouls in that match that basically ruined it for us
Iggy dosadan si
being a fellow aussie to Joe..
can i say.. did you guys all miss his ridiculous shittiness against Aus in 2006 ?

@19Miro50
I would take Olic over Prso. He does way more and he has scored so many important goals for us. He is a machine!
Eduardo missed three sitters in our last game versus Wales and he missed way way more sitters in our game with Wales in Osijek as well back in October. Olic saved the day against Wales because as soon as he came on the field we scored two goals! He did miss an opportunity to score in the last game with Wales but I would not call that a sitter. It would have been tough goal to get as a James Collins was sliding in at Olic’s feet and Ivica could not go low with the ball. Definitely not a sitter unlike the three Eduardo had which were wide open with nobody around him.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URxoD0Ira14&feature=youtu.be
Simunic in his day was always the weakest of that great defense we had Kovac Tudor Simic were better than him but Joe had technical abitlity and he isnt injury prone and he is a smarter player now than he was 12 years ago i like Joe i think Sifo is better than Lovren imo
@ Elvis
Yes I am going to Brazil and taking the national team with me. You can come if Mommy says its ok.
You can keep your “shire.”
I will take Croatia as modern nation state.
As per MatesicMethod I can always offer you a personal session and align you right up. No hip hop abs, straight core power. You know the type of power that integrates that weak ass xenophobic picka patterned bullshit.
Time to grow up and stop acting like little sheep.
“Highest literacy rate and highest poverty rate.”
Pathetic.
Scared of a second rate Brazilian scrub and his punk agent.
Sramota.
Happy easter Stretan Uskrs just had seconds on the janje and pogace and some prosek.
I respect Olic but he is not a typical striker when hes hot hes good but when hes cold hes cold Prso and Eduardo IMO best post Boksic Suker era.if you watched wales right before we scored he missed a sitter?
Who ever says Dado prso sucked is a moron and never watched a single game from 2003-2006.
whats with all you olic lovers all ofa suddeen ? HE DOES score tap in goals 99.9% of the time.
That wasa lovely goal for the wolves tho
but u know… he’s still a tap-in artist as is mandzukic.. both of them cannot score for the repka from outside of the 6 yard box.. NINE OUT OF 10 STATITICIANS AGREE
Sretan Uskers ! Bog , Hrvati , Hajduk , i HNS !!!
Well said Stanley Kubrick
On a non-footballing note, Game of Thrones primeres tonight. It’s an awesome show. Many of the scenes are filmed in Dubrovnik, Lokrum Island and the surrounding areas. A lot of the extras are Croatian as well.
Winter Is Coming….are you ready?
@Horvat
Olic has scored goals from all over the place and the “typical” Ivica Olic tap in goals statement has always been redundant and incorrect. Sure he scores goals from close range but the last time I checked he played the striker role and that is what they are supposed to do. His last game prior to qualifying he scored a fantastic bicycle kick goal.
Why are we even having this discussion? Why are the goals ugly if they go in? But since you put it that way, and not that it matters because the last time I checked as long as it goes in the net it is a goal, but would it not be a truer statement to associate Mario Manduzkic to the tap in goal label? Olic’s goals are prettier than Manduzkic’s goals by and large if you need to compare and once again, not that it matters or do I care but its true.
@ Hip Hop Abs Guy,,urr I mean MatesicMethod ……if you love Brazil go there. No need to bring it into my Shire.
Note: that doesn’t mean he’s not a good player!
Olic typically scores ugly, tap in goals within the 6 yard box. However, that doesn’t mean that he ONLY scores these kind of goals. He can score some nice goals at times. However, most of his goals are not pretty.
I’ve always been a fan of Olic. He’s arguably the best forward we’ve had in the Post-Suker Era.
Check out this goal against Man Utd, when he made Evra, Ferdinand, and Vidic look like a bunch of school boys in a pick up game.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wabN0Cyd3-4

If you say so. LOL!!!!
Both Rapaic and Miladin Prso were good players in their day. Injuries slowed Miladin and Rapaic had great skill but lacked discipline.

Good post on Simunic. Not given enough credit and is the target of much ridicule on this site. He has been a consistent good player for us in this qualifying campaign.
Also Sretan Uskrs svima.
Poor Allen though. He continuously got punked on this site to the point he stopped posting lol
Iggy is like a foreign version of Allen19 – having conversations with himself on threads haha
Great goal by Olic. The man is on fire.
err my “moderation” has been approved or some shit.. wtf is this crap ..
do you know that i can predict for everything about Croatian football.. i said this younger man can show high quality perform, and yes he can ./.
@ Vedran
Prso sucked ? What!
He got better in his late 20’s and could legitimately dribble attack towards the goal.
I appreciate all of Mandzukic’s goals for us but he cannot take on quality defenders like Prso.
I remember Prso skating against Brazil in 2006.
I know he missed a friendly against Brazil in Split one year and the press had a field day. But after all his knee problems he had to ensure his readiness for club football.
@ IvicA
I like Crozilian for Eduardo but the Broatian seems to fit as well.
Either way he will be a super SUB for us off the bench and will need to start against Scotland. I am happy that he stil has the finishing touch after the leg break.
awwww shit i think i ruined this thread SORRY GUYS

cos it will be redundant by the time it appears, whereas if it appears down the bottom that will also be silly since it will be out of place
so i guess what im saying is go back to how it was without moderation pls.. did we have an issue with unmoderated posts? i dont think so..

I still prefer Crozilian…
Lmao. Dade Prso fucking sucked.
@ Matesic
Eduardo is pivotal to the Croatian team in Brasil. He is one of the rare few that speaks Portuguese and Croatian fluently, and can act as an interpreter. As well as a Tour Guide, showing the Boys the best resteraunts, cafes, clubs, and brothels. 🙂
@ Jack V
3-5-2 will only work against a good team if we have speedy wingbacks that can defend. Against shitty teams 3-5-2 will definitely work, well come to think of it, just about any formation will work against a shitty team.
I. Runje, a defender for Nordsjalland, is a good prospect. And certainly has a future in the national team.
Get rid of Sammir , & put in Vukovic on the Rep.
Privlaka’s finest Skoblar has to be on the field for any all time Croatia representation. My man would run at you like Messi!
@ Ziva
some width on both sides of the pitch, especially on the left is right on time.
Need a some real wingers that can sprint 20 meters and attack defenders.
Not expecting Robert Jarni, but would like a Rapaic level.
Kovacic is doing it at Inter with a bum crew. He will need to step up in Modric’s absence against Scotland in June.
Much respect to Eduardo for serving Croatia with yet another big time goal. He is the real Broatian. Also would probably endear us to the local folks in Brazil for WC’14.
@ all the xenophobes , you know the WC IS IN BRAZIL? Time to SAMBA. Plus we were always known as the Brazilians of Europe.
@ Simunic haters. Pusi kurac!
Simunic will come in again and play solid against Scotland for us. They should give that guy an award for years of selfless service. He has given us his best. Respect.
3 at the back seem to be in vogue lately.
Not that Everton or Stoke are clubs that are easy on the eyes, but Everton used three at the back with their typical wingbacks (Coleman/Baines) playing pretty far forward and three up front.
Jelavic had an OK game, but was routinely brutalized by Huth/Shawcross. Everton’s style of play is physically demanding for a center forward and I hope Jelavic can handle the sustained punishment.
To Everyone:
Happy Resurrection!
@Ziva:
Re: 3 at the back.
The same problem occurs when you have four at the back and the RB and or LB venture forward (Srna as RB).
It may be counterintuitive, but having 3 at the back is actually more defensive because the players that would have been wingbacks will still defend.
3-5-2 can work against a team like Scotland and other shittier sides. Try a 3-5-2 against Belgium and we would get smoked.
Using a 3-5-2, you sacrifice width to gain an advantage in the middle. The modern game is all about getting wide.
Plus, using a 3-5-2 exposes the three defenders (especially slower ones that we have). If we play an opponent (Belgium) than can cross the width of the field with one or two touches, we are screwed. It only works if the supporting MFs are not caught out of position.
Correction, the first sentence should say “The ideal Vs. Scots.”
The Ideal Scots
Pletikosa–Vida, Schifo, Simunic, Strinic–Srna, Rakitic, Vukojevic, Kovacic–Mandzu, Olic
If the “A” Team is unavailable for whatever reason–time for Plan “B.” The sink or swim line up, rolling the dice squad:
Kresic–Vida, Pavlovic, I. Runje, Pamic–Krancjar, Badelj, Radosevic, Persic–Eduardo, Jelavic.
Personally I would rather see this team against the Scots, just to make the match more interesting–we will still win anyway.
^^^^ forget about that team i made…modric cant play
Is Ciro Blazevic gay?
3-5-2 vs Scotland
…………………Eduardo…Mandzukic………………
………..Olic…………Modric……………Srna………
……………….Kovacic…..Vukojevic………………….
…………Lovren….Simunic….Vida…………………..
……………………….Pletikosa………………………….
G
Probably our best line up :
Pletikosa
Srna Corluka Lovren Strinic
Rakitic Kovacic Perisic
Modric
Mandzukic – Olic(Eduardo)
Our right side very strong. Srna and Rakitic play very well together. On the left side, it’s not that easy. Krancjar isn’t fast enough anymore. Sammir remains a question. As LB there’s only Strinic since Pranjic decided to not play for us anymore. I really hope Manuel Pamic from Sparta Prague will step up soon.
If Lovren screws up, there’s still Vida, Schildenfeld and Simunic and in the near feature perhaps Pavlovic and Jedvaj(from Dinamo Zagreb). As RB I still haven’t given up on Vrsaljo. I think the guy could really mean something. As DM, we shouldn’t forget about Badelj after one bad game against Wales. Perhaps Radosevic will make his way in the first team of Napoli. Vukojevic, many of you don’t like his play, can still bring something to the table.
As strikers we have Mandzukic, Eduardo, Olic. I still hope Kalinic will start to perform better. And of course I follow our Italian youngsters: Livaja and Vukusic.
I still think our defense needs work and against strong team a strong dm is need anda gainst weak team 2 cm
Rakitic looked decent, but didnt do too much of note. Was constantly trying to get on the ball and make an impact though. They lost 1-0 despite having what felt like 30 chances
@ Chupe yeah thats from 1994- today but how about a all all team from each generation not just modern croatia
How about Surjak?
i watched the Bayern game today and Badelj look bad like the entire team man 9 goals wow.
Jelavic missed 2 sitters.
Kovacic for a 18 year old bravo
Rakitic they are down 1-0 i dont know how hes playing
@ Horvat thats more of a 3-4-3 For a 3-5-2 you need wing backs and Strinic and Srna this formation is good for when you play big teams who are fast id stick with 4-4-2 but im not the coach.
Scotland dont underestimate them man common remeber greece georgia rescent teams remeber Eqaudor Mexico Swiss Japan Australia @ tornaments we should have beat?
My line up for Scots is Pletikosa Srna Sifo Joe Strinic(or someone new Stimac is know to do that) Rakitic Kovacic Kranjcar Perisic Mandzo Eduardo or Olic Subs Jelavic Radosevic Vukojevic Vida.
How’s rakatic looking?
I like the 3-5-2 formation. Especially against the Serbs who don’t have good strikers.
My lineup against the Serbs:
Pletikosa
Corluka Simunic Lovren
Kovacic Modric
Srna Rakitic Perisic
Mandzukic Olic/Eduardo
actually cigarette in mouth while playing, that reminds me of shaolin soccer, im assuming everyone has seen this hilarious movie?

btw i cannot believe they still dub asian movies in north america – is this for real? LOL .. learn to read subtitles you lazy mouthbreathers
IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR PROSINECKI ITS GOO ENOUGH FOR ME !
Holy cunts Bayern won 9-2.. now i see what you guys were talking about !
Iggy,
Stimac will ask you to put that cigarette out of your mouth, at least during the game.
@ JP
I cannot believe he sunk that 3 with 4 seconds left. Great comeback. Great collapse.
@CrovsAnt haha.. yeah that makes sense.. maybe Serbia will improve once their players return from the gay & lesbian mardi gras ?
Chupe: dunno about rapaic or vlaovic
agree about the Scotland game being a piece of piss.. even i could play in Modric’s place in that game and we’ll still win… actually i might give Stimac a call.. BRB
LOL
All Croatian team 3-5-2
Pletikosa Srna Bilic Stimac Kovac Jarni- Prosinecki Boban Asanovic Suker Boksic Subs Modric Simic Simunic Rakitic Vlaovic Stanic N Kovac Rapaic Prso.
Badelj = this generation’s Kruno Jurcic.
CroatHrvat,
I like Milan Badelj too. But he was not as bad as most people say against Wales? He did nothing right that night. At this time, Kovacic is way better than him.
Obviously Lovren and Corluka are suspended for Scotland, bring in Simunic (who is still our best centre back in my opinion) and maybe Pavlovic for that game. For the next 2-6 years however, I can’t see past Vida, Lovren and Corluka.
It’s funny how the community keeps changing its opinions.
I remember Ante on the live stream talking about Schindelfeld should start every game after the Turkey game…
Then we had Badelj, we all called for him to replace Vukojevic, then we had an episode with Radosevic, now Kovacic is the chosen one.
Kovacic is a good player with potential, but it would be a crime to assume he plays a perfect game, he’s a liability at times, his passing isn’t good enough yet and he doesn’t have the defensive skills either.
Badelj is a decent player, he can do a job and he’s wasn’t as bad as most people said he was against Wales. Losing 9-2 today won’t be too enjoyable for him.
Radosevic, same as Kovacic, his game against Belgium want flawless, he’s still a liability at this age and he will only improve in time.
For now it’s simple, we have Scotland in the summer, easy game at home. No Modric, anyone can play midfield, I want to see this 3-5-2 formation develop. Vida, Lovren and Corluka defending with the rest of the team creating chances.
Modric starts for Real, yellow for handball so far. Real down One – Nil.
Maglica , nice head wrap
Poor Hamburg….
@Kruno
“I also hope he decks shawcross”
Agreed! To point out the obvious.
I also hope he decks shawcross
Jelavic looks off
@ Iggy
Elton John is popular among Serbian players for obvious reasons. In an effort to motivate themselves for their upcoming fixtures, Serbia’s theme song will be Elton’s hit, “The Bitch Is Back.” So beware of Serbia. 🙂
Yeah Kovacic was Inter’s best Midfielder. Looks like the Modric-Kovacic combo will be like Spain’s Xavi-Ineista.
@Ante, sorry that my Wolverines had to put down your Jayhawks!!!!
Headlines forgot Kovacic and Inter v Juventus! Inter lost 1-2, but here is what Goal.com said about Kovacic:
Mateo Kovačić
The one player in the Inter midfield who could hold his head high at full time, the talented teenager impressed in what was his first Derby d’Italia, passing with real purpose.
