Ante Rebić is hitting on all cylinders at the perfect time for Eintracht Frankfurt. Rebić scored the opening goal for his side on Saturday in a 2-1 victory over Schalke as he stayed patient in the box and rolled the Schalke keeper before shooting on an open net. With the win, Eintracht Frankfurt now find themselves four points clear of Germany’s final Champions League berth for next season with only six Bundesliga matches remaining. Since the World Cup, Rebić has only increased his value and could very well be on his way to a bigger club this summer.
Rebić Rolls The Keeper @1:04
Andrej Kramarić cleaned up the trash in front of an open net for Hoffenheim’s opening goal in a 4-0 win over Augsburg on Sunday. The win gets Hoffenheim one point behind Germany’s final Europa League berth.
Dejan Lovren came off the bench in the final minutes of Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Southampton Friday night. The victory puts Liverpool two points ahead of Manchester City in the English Premier League title race, however, City currently have a game in hand.
Ivan Perišić and Marcelo Brozović both got the start for Inter Milan as they played out a scoreless draw with Atalanta.
Suker would sooner name it after himself.
They should name it after Mamić
Halilovic needs to morph into a pit-bull on the pitch, and really press.
In other news, Ronaldo just gotta stadium named after him in Portugal….It’s only a matter of time before a stadium gets named after Luka Modric in Croatia!
Whenever the heck they get around to building a new national stadium, I could see it named in Modric’s honor.
Halilovic does not like to play D. That much is clear. In La Liga, he’d mope around with the opposition taking on the backs a few feet in front of him. If I had to bet, this is what most teammates and coaches cannot stand about him.
Watched Halilovic today against Brugge, he came on around the 62 minute. He wasn’t defending well — just jogging and walking around while the opposition had posession, looked timid on the ball — just made safe passes and overall looked a shadow of what some the impressive Brugge wingers looked like. The game was really physical. I don’t know if he can adjust to this league. He’d be right at home in the HNL.
Hezonja!
Rakitic will go where his wife tells him to go
Rakitic will end up at Juve with Mandzo.

Barca offered Bayern Rakitic. Kovac declined saying he’s too old and expensive. What are Robben and Ribery?
Brozovic Hurt was taken out in the 23rd min
Empty hat trick in a game that was already decided after Kramarić opened the scoring in that game.
It was a 4-0 victory against a relegation team. Befofil sucks anyway. Too much was made about Kramarić “stealing” a goal from him.
And Lo and Behold, Bedofil gets his Hat-Trick! 🙂
After Bedofil scored his 2nd goal for Hoffenheim, Kramaric was subbed out to prevent him from stealing another hat-trick from Bedofil…. 🙂
Kramaric is a goal scoring machine he scores every game for hoffenhiem I hope he does that for Croatia and hope hope him and rebic go to big clubs soon
Krama shoulda just let that ball roll in, and given his teammate the hat-trick. It really woulda been a classy gesture.
When the announcers even mention how Krama is going to have words with his team mates about lack of support when he’s wide open you know something is up.
Andrej stealing that hat trick goal from his team mate has obviously not been forgotten!
Kramaric with an early gol for the Hoff
Oh and one more thing, Rebic’s goal kinda reminds of Suker vs Germany Euro ’96…
Nothing wrong with being a Bull in a China Shop, if that Bull can do a whole lotta damage to the opposition!!
Looks like putting aside the video games and doing Squats and Deadlifts is finally starting to pay off!
He’s got the Strength, Speed, and Power. And this is his breakout season in the Bundesliga. I still think that the best is yet to come from Rebic, and that he can improve technically.
Just imagine how good Rebic could really be if he could know how to control and pass the ball accurately – we could have won the WC final
@DannyJ yes let’s hope Marin turns out to be a superstar. Before signing his professional contract with Dinamo (a very smart move) he was getting offers from Man City, PSG, and Juve. He is very consistent and incredible with the ball.
Rebic doesn’t get that many cards at all.
He just seems like he does, because of the way he plays. Referees will rarely card or even call a foul against the man WITH the ball, and Rebic takes full advantage of this when he goes AT defenders while having possession.
It’s not his fault that he’s physically twice as strong and twice as fast as your average Bundesliga defender.
He’s a great finisher outside the box, a poor finisher inside the box, but the chaos he creates inside the box more than makes up for his lack of close range finish.
It’s funny because people on this site (one person specifically) always complained about how we have no players who can score goals outside the box, and now you have a guy who’s been doing it pretty much every other game for the past two years.
No doubt we will need rebic power and speed up front to carry on with Mario type pressing I think that type of energy influences the others
Maybe he will evolve later as he gets older but we are most successful when we are pressing as we all know
I think with forward thinking kids like Vlasic and brekalo we should be ok
This Marin kid looks great let’s hope he is the real deal
Brekalo subbed off in the 62nd minute today…did anyone see the game I’m curious as to why he got taken off,and how he played.
Did Niko save his skin with their shellacking of BVB?
Rebic with another goal… Good to see
One of the most pressing questions to Croatias future success is “who is ante rebic?”
Is he simply a bull in a China shop that gets more yellow cards than goals and frequently find himself injured
Or is he a cuspy upper tier player who’s relentless nature changes the shape of games
VLASIC with an assist today…beautiful little flick too
Hezonja is a typical Dalmatinac.
Dunks on Giannis,
Blocks LeBron’s game winning shot,
Scores at will against his former team…
Good enough. Calls it a season. Lol.
He’ll be back in the league next year. He has the talent.
Agreed on bender. I think he still has potential , but needs to play at the 5, not the 4.
He’s so un aggressive that when he plays the 4 spot he just spots up, bricks a couple 3s, and calls it a night
At the 5 he’s forced into the action in the pick n roll and becomes much more active
The future of the hoops nt is questionable. Some time ago, even as Croatia was producing seemingly all the highest international picks in the draft, i warned that Croatia will still probably only be just about a top 10 team of the future. I think that is another true prediction.
Teams that will continue to be better
Usa
France
Spain
Greece
Serbia
Slovenia
Australia
Canada
Lithuania
Other teams that will threaten to be better
Brazil
Argentina
Italy
Germany
Russia
Latvia
Around the number 10 mark will be challenging for Croatia
Pretty impressive the soccer team on average lately might have been better ranked than the hoops team when so few countries are able to compete in hoops, and where one player can make a huge difference as opposed to soccer where you need something much closer to 10 good guys
Truth not sure why mario’s Breakout game is humorous… this out of the box thinking playing Mario at PG might have salvaged his career. Our national team could use an exciting PG with talent.
Who knows… maybe this position change is where he needs to be to excel ..though not likely with his horrible handles.
Bender needs to be more aggressive I’m tired of him taking 3 or 4 shots a game and deferring to booker and others every game.
Saric and and the 2 Z’s with good games as well in limited minutes.
Bojan had his worst game of the year.Huge off season for bender Hezonja Zubac and bobo as to where they will sign and hopefully improve on their careers.
The future does look bright for our national team…of only they could make it easier for our NBA players to participate in tournament qualifying.
In humorous nba news, Mario hezonja records a triple double
And dragan bender has 11 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and seven blocks!
In the last five years, the only players to post such as a line are Joel embiid and Anthony Davis
If only he could’ve gotten four more assists and three more blocks for the quadruple double
Only guys to do that in the last forty years would’ve been
Olojuwan
Bender
Two names that usually go side by side
Will Kova ever score a goal in Chelsea colours
what ever happened to Kalinic – sad outcome for someone who was the future of Croatian soccer
