DOES BILIĆ HAVE OTHER PLANS IN MIND?
Football.uk and Soccernet.com are reporting that Croatian manager Slaven Bilić has been approached by the Scottish FA to take reins as head coach. Although Bilić has already said no to Scotland, a number of clubs in England and Germany still seem to want his services.
Would Bilić dare leave Croatia for a pay raise in the next nine months before Euro 2012 qualifying begins? Time will tell but I would say no. I believe Bilić and Co. are on a mission this time around and want to finish what they started in late 2006. However, the right dollar amount can sway anyone’s mind these days.
I was bored.

Slovenia returned the favor. remember this?

Ultimately we get what we deserved. I feel bad for mother Russia. A late away goal in Moscow cost them a place in the world cup.

'The two most annoying story lines in Croatian Football.
1. Will Bilic leave?'
I agree. Ante enough of Bilic. If he goes he goes. I am annoyed with Bilic' name in the paper every other day if he will stay or go.
@Ante
No more Bilic stories!
'other teams are wooing our manager'
There have been so many rumors for Bilic the last 2 years. We will start 'rumorville' again in December for the winter transfer season and Bilic only belongs on this list.
Also, Scotland rumor doesnt make any sense. Why would he leave a Croatia post for a Scotland post?
Bilic will look for a EPL or Bundesliga job before a national team job.
@Andrej
I agree! Sportske Novosti are covering Bosna like Croatia. Dzeko is on their page at least once per week. You wont find that on croatiansoccerreport.com
Bilic is not leaving…..when he doesleave, he will have his choice of jobs in the EPL or Germany.
Nah Bilic won't be in Scotland. Not even out of work so called proud Scots like Souness or Strachan will take this job cos Scotland has a poor crop of players.
I don't believe Bilic is in it for the money as much as others are. I think he has a bond with players he believes are world class like Eduardo, Corluka, Modric, Srna, Kranjcar and wants to keep working with them as long as possible. That is the thing he can't let go. I'm willing to let Bilic have another tournament. I know the HNS are pretty lazy and would never have gone out and got a quality foriegn coach like Adrianse, Hitzfeld or Hiddink. Though lets not forget Hiddink messed up with a high quality Russian side which i think is far worse than Bilic's blunder.
The way i look at it now was that Bilic was slow in his decision making. He is doing things now he should have done months back. But sometimes you're only as good as the options you have and Bilic wasn't just short of Eduardo, Modric and Kranjcar at times in last qualifiers. He definitely never ever had a fully fit Niko or Dudu. Also if you look at it further he had a out of form and out of condition Leko, Pokrivac plus Sablic, Knezevic and Budan were injured through that entire campaign and reduced him to relying on poor standard guys like Vejic and Drpic. I think with the existance of guys who been there a while now, plus the young players coming through as well as so elder players who found their best form again such as Jelavic, Dujmovic, M Bilic it just gives Bilic a lot more options next tournament. The status of Croat players in their clubs is a lot better this year and that's why i'm willing to see if it improves things for Bilic.
@ Radman,
I think it's relevant that other teams are wooing our manager, especially Scotland because you know they have money. I think everyone would miss Bilic and his teenager attitude on the sidelines if he left. Especially if some 'douche' came in to coach.
You never know what you have until you lose it boys.
those two are not nearly as annoying as going on SPORTSKE novosti and every fing day they are writing about something about BiH and their team like does anyone care. Whoever keeps writing that shaat needs to get fired i rather talk about our players then dumass Dzeko and Mislimovic i dont care if they are best or worst team in the world
The two most annoying story lines in Croatian Football.
1. Will Bilic leave?
2. Will Dario Srna finally leave Shaktar?
Lets cover real news. These story lines are really boring by now.
He messed up last campaign, but i think he has straightened up, you can see from the players he called last friendly and the players he wants to call up. Besided who would replace him, we have no one better in croatia and the HNS wouldnt dish the cash out for a good foreign coach.
i hope he leaves. i'm stunned that he wasn't fired. Soldo has some experience in the Bundesliga, maybe we can try using him
i hope he does! i wont be to sad about it i cant believe he was not fired.i know we dont have many qualified for the position but he is not that much better with his lack of versatility and unwillingness to bring up new players for ones who were sleeping during qualifying
I don't think Bilic leaves, it seems that once every few months he's "linked" to another club/country.
