Dinamo Zagreb is finally on the board! And it took a scoreless match against PSV Eindhoven Thursday night to do it. Although no goals were scored, Dinamo held ball possession for 51% of the match while firing off 11 shots on goal. The went for the win, which would have put them back in contention for a knockout round berth, but will have to settle for the lone point. Ademi, Soudani and Brozović all started for the Croatian champs with a return fixture in the Netherlands in two weeks time. Even after starting the campaign with two straight losses, Dinamo only sit three points behind second place PSV.
Rijeka almost held on against French powerhouse Lyon, going into halftime tied 0-0, but a 66th minute Clement Grenier header would deny Rijeka another Europa League point. Rijeka only had three shots on goal, compared to Lyon’s nine, but should feel good about the match as they went toe-to-toe with a club which usually battles with Europe’s best in Champions League nearly every season. With the loss, Rijeka remain on only one point through their first three Europa League matches.
Grenier goal vs. Rijeka
Anyone here seen the new Melrose Place with that hot chick Jessica Lucas in it? The O.C. was a good show back in the day. Colts are 6-2 Luck 13tds to 3 interceptions this season Peyton who ? lol
@ Ante B,
you gotta give me some credit, that was good one. U must have chuckled a little. haha
Ante b got moted by jarac ha ha
Jarac,
You can do better. If his name was Ante ok but Matija? Come on maaaaan.
its the same shit different pile theory…you like Corluka but love to poke holes at the whores he bangs…we like Americans and their products but hate their politics!
@Ziva
Fair enough!
@Mike:
What are you looking to study?
Where in the NY area do you reside?
If people want to watch our movies and use Apple products then damn it, they have to except our idiot political leaders.
@Ziva
You always associate people hating america with the products that Americans manufacture. It’s American foreign policy that people have a major problem with not Air Jordans, and Playboy. Much like Britain, America has some great culture, arts and entertainment, but politically they are not popular in the worlds eyes.
I can’t find anything on this competition you’re talking about.
Well D is funny but those are made in China hahahahah America is so lazy proud to be american/dalmatian how lazyer can that mix be
@19Miro50…….yes, but not a high level anymore
@Kreten…….jebiga. To je moj kriz.
OK,, boys……..time for happy hour. I’ll leave you with this one: More embarrassing:
A. Being a friend or relative of Ziva Istina
B. Wearing a jersey with another man’s last name on it
C. A diaspora hrvat saying he is a hrvat, but unable to speak the language
D. A native-born hrvat saying he hates America, but wears Nike’s, has Apple products, playstation gear and watches American movies and tv shows
E. Wearing an Affliction t-shirts
Bravo za tebe! ubi se if Jurcic beat you.
Ziva you play nogomet.
Interesting things talked about on this thread lol.
Will Sammir be called by Kovac lolol
@Kreten………ohh, but I do. I came in second place at the “Nogometni (Fudbalski – for you) Strucnjak” contest last summer in Trilj. Kruno Jurcic somehow beat me. So, there you have it. Proof I know more than you.
@Slavonac……..true. But, you know we are having fun with this.
there are sluts everywhere Zivi Kreten, sometimes at 2am those are the best kind!
@ Slavonac Croatian women are sluts most of them they like going to kave shoping and money and riding dick like Zivas mom,
You dont know more than me about Nogomet you dont hahaha
Ziva – during my younger years I’ve seen quite a bit and couldnt believe with my eyes what I was witnessing, but to each his own. Corluka has tons of hot women crazy for him…he might need some visuals aids when he’s chosing or maybe he’s just not picky….either way I guarantee you he does very well! my point is we are typical, we find almost every reason on most topics to be pricks about our own people…me included, sometimes we need to look at the good side!
Weekend is everyday for me in Croatia not like where you live
Ziva is a glupa amerikancina. hahahhaahahaha root for USA over the summer if Croatia go to Brazil dont even follow them negative smece.
Never said I knew everything. But, I know more than you.
Don’t be mad, bro!!!!!
The weekend is here. go out and celebrate.
in your words ziva big hands on my ipad sue me winnepeg lol.
Your still a ziva budla you dont know everything
@Slavonac from Canada……..all true and valid points. But, you need to take a closer look at some of the females he has conquered. I wouldn’t want those disease-infested women anywhere around me. It’s one thing to bang quality, it’s another thing to bang disease.
@ANTE BBB
I get why your so confused, I found this video of you as a kid.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvVgLmTiHzI
of course, my hrvatstvo…………….and not as you call it “Hrvatskvo”.
I mean, if you want to make fun of me go on ahead. But, at least spell correctly what you are trying to make fun of. Then again on second thought, I bet you really think its called “Hrvatskvo”
In most countries, a guy that gets the attention that Corluka does is normally glorified…the Italians are proud of their studs, England boasted of David Beckham, the US (well, some anyways) brag of Donovan….and here we have Corluka, a guy that bangs tons of good looking women and the only thing we can do is put a negative light on his successful sex life banging women left, right and centre? WTF – if he was any other nationality he’d be a hero but here people talk about him being infested with disease? I dont get it!!!
Beacuse you know everything just like udba and you suck.
Friends what is bigger
Ziva mouth
His moms pizda
His ego
His Hrvatskvo lol
@Kreten………this should be good. Please explain why “Udbas” should be added to my name.
Now, back to regularly scheduled programming…………Friends, what is bigger:
A. Niko Kranjcar’s waist size
B. Cico Kranjcar’s liver
C. The gap between Luka Modric’s teeth
D. How wide the legs are spread out by Corluka’s girlfriends at any point during the day.
Hej guys from new york are there any good tech schools out in nyc i dont want to go to college are there any tech trade schools that are good thanks! idemo nasi!
ZIVA ISTINA UDBAS that my nickname for you.
Ziva sve znas maybe your paretns were udba!
@kreten……….if I had to guess, I would say both. But, I could be wrong.
Which is more likely Ziva istina being an asshole or Ziva Istina thinking he knows everything?
@Ziva
not sure any off that is possible but Kovacic and Jedvaj could fit the bill…..maybe Rebic
@Kume………….mad? at who? I’m never mad. No reason to be mad living the high life in the fortified compound. I’m just posing questions to anyone. Not much to talk about right now with the playoff match a good three weeks away.
This is amusing. I have heard this talk before how we have solid prospects just waiting to explode in the future. I recall hearing this eight years ago and since that time we missed a world cup and our play has been mediocre at best. Pretty sad but these young prospects mean nothing when you see how some of them have played for our national team of late.
Why you mad ziva at everyone ?
Using the above-mentioned players by Ivica, which is more likely to happen.
A. At least three of the followiing players develop into reliable national team players that can make an impact: Rebic (Fiorentina), Kovacic (Inter Milan), Radosevic (Napoli), Bubnjic (Udinese), Dabro (Fiorentina), Kelic (Slovan), Vrsaljko (Genoa), Maric (Vienna), Perica (Chelsea), and Jedvaj (Roma)
B. Rakitic scores a goal with his head
C. Elton John bangs a playboy playmate at the Playboy Mansion
D. Corluka is disease-free in the next 6 months
Hell if we wanna go further back, the first ever nogomet squad was started in ZG in 1873 as FC Zagreb but most were Englishnworkers and intermittent Hrvati.
@ ivica . i enjoyed the post till you mentioned the 9 and 12 year olds
on that point, halilovic has a younger 15 year brother who is supposed to be a stud. should we call him now to the A team to secure him from bosnia?
Re: our junior talent…
You guys are getting bent out of shape for nothing.
Croatia has never done much in junior tournaments. Croatians also tend to be late bloomers anyway. It’s not like they are Crnci or Brazilian, where they look like linebackers at age 18 and are already able to physically play with 30-year olds, but then get fat or plateau when they’re in their early to mid-20s.
We have a lot of solid young prospects in the 17-21 age group who are already on decent teams abroad:
Rebic (Fiorentina), Kovacic (Inter Milan), Radosevic (Napoli), Bubnjic (Udinese), Dabro (Fiorentina), Kelic (Slovan), Vrsaljko (Genoa), Maric (Vienna), Perica (Chelsea), and Jedvaj (Roma).
Plus there are a lot of guys in the HNL that are guaranteed to be signing with a decent club in the near future in Halilovic, Maloku, Roguljic, Mamic, Basic, Lulic, Brodic, Brozovic.
If even a quarter of the guys mentioned above pan out, we’ll be in good shape. This doesn’t even include many players on our senior squad still in their early 20s (ie. Lovren, Perisic, Badelj), any Diaspora Croats (there are plenty right now on teams who would still choose Cro), or those under the radar types that come out of nowhere.
Also, we forgot about that 9-year old superstar from Dubrovnik (Ivo Čengić) and his older 12-year old brother (Đino Čengić) who are playing in Barcelona’s youth program. 🙂
In other news…. And much to the dismay of Ziva Istina, Marin Cilic had his doping ban dropped, and his points and prize money from the French Open returned as a result.
Re: the old club named Victoria
Yea, that club was the ancestor to NK Lokomotiva.
The club was based in Zagreb and was called ZŠK Viktorija. It was a team formed by railroad workers and I think the name came from the name of a train or something. Much like most of our football history, this team was dissolved in WW2 and replaced with a more Commie loving name in “Lokomotiva” (whatever that means).
But it wasn’t the oldest club even in Zagreb. I know that NK Zagreb used to be called PNIŠK Zagreb (Prvi Nogometni i športski klub Zagreb) and it was formed in 1903. Its name changed a lot through history, and NK Zagreb has some sort of connection to the old Zagreb club of HŠK Concordia (which was also a victim of communism and was dissolved).
Igrači otvorili dušu: Rekli su mi stvari koje prije nisu bile dobre
http://is.gd/rprrak
Me tell you armada your team no good . You italian people please leave croatia now . Bad italian s in rijeka go home to italy …
He’s 17 guys. He can still be great. Thought he looked pretty damn good in that one friendly against Portugal for the senior side.
Haililovich ,all HYPE
http://sportske.jutarnji.hr/radosevic–rebic-i-kovacic-medu-40-najboljih-mladih-nogometasa-svijeta/1135460/
probably completely worthless. but here’s an article etaht came out today listing the 40 best young soccer players in the world. with radosevic, rebic, and kovacic making the list. once agian ,interesting but probalby worhtless
http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/preliminaries/news/newsid=2203464/
Datkovic/Bubnjic/Simunovic as reserve DF’s
We normally hope to get 2-3 players from a generation, but this group is stocked.
Radosevic, Rebic, Vrsajlko and Kovacic look like locks for the NT so far. I could see one of either Datkovic/Bubnjic/Simunovic make the NT at least as a reserve – and maybe either Delac/Zelenika as a backup GK?
some kids develop late, so who knows what the future holds. The can’t miss talent from this u17 team is supposed to be Halilovic, Basic and possibly Roguljic. Halilovic needs to get out of Cro. Roguljic already is out of Cro. and Basic is coming back from a serious injury. I think he’s been out for at least 6 months now. You listed a lot of names with the U21 team, if 3 of them work out, that would be great.
@ Ziva
Of course you have to take Croatian media with a grain of salt…
…but c’mon, the way Halilovic, Roguljic, Maric, Brodic, Basic, etc. were hyped – I was at least expecting them to make it out the groups. Our U-19’s did shit last year at the Euro’s but they didn’t have that much talent…
Look at our U-21 team for the Euro’s. Granted, they have been killing it in the qualifiers and they have ample talent; Zelenika, Vrsajlko, Datkovic, Simunovic, Bubnjic, Radosevic, Brozovic, Mocinic, Kovacic, Delac, Rebic, Perica, etc.
I mean if they shit the bed, with a team chock full of guys playing in big leagues all ready or playing on teams that are in the CL/EL, the future is NOT looking good… aside from guys like Kovacic, Varsajlko, etc.
not a great tourney by halilovic but i can see what people see in him. he showed a modric like ability to move the ball around the pitch and see plays develop (when he did actually pass the ball). 2) it seems like he has some pace and acceleration to create opportunities, like he did on that goal, and that 1 on 1 with the keeper against morocco that he missed. so i’m hopeful. but he still young. so will he fulfill the hopes who kjnows
I don’t know what people were expecting. I watched the first game against Moracco and came away wondering how we even made it to the U17 WC. We should celebrate the fact that we even qualified for this thing.
Our youth teams play bad they dont play as a team but individuals money money money its the who cares if we win scouts look at performanes i want to leave croatia and play in a great country.
Our youth NT’s fuckin blow… So overhyped and none of them can even make it out the group stage of tournament. Not sure if it’s the coaches or these kids just can’t figure out how to play together…
Stimac did shit those two serb games please maksimir game thank you kolarov and fantom foul on mandzo thank you pletikosa. Second leg thank you mqndzo and thank you ref post and stipe and simunic.
@jm…………as you said, they don’t deserve to go on. I’ll remeber this U17 tounrament for one thing. I won money on Cro’s two losses (but fucken lost all of it yesterday on Europa League games).
@ Marko
Interesting stories dude. My dad dealt with similar shit like that back in the late 40’s, early 50’s when the Kvarner/Istra passed from Italy to Jugo. At that time, Rijeka (Fiume) was in fact a Italian city while Susak was mostly Croatian – both were considered seperate cities. Nowadays, Susak is just an outer suburb of grad Rijeka.
correction: mexico just scores. pretty muc hoffociiall ydone now
u17 believe or not and well undeserved still has a shot of advancing to the knock out rounds. to do so they need both sweden to beat mexico and argentina to beat canada. unfortunatley mexico and sweden are tied 0-0 with 5 minutes to go. and what looks like a balkan filled swedish team are not providing much help
@Armada – thanks, and that’s interesting to hear about the longer histories of the smaller Istrian teams.
I always smile at the name for the NK Orijent ultras – you really couldn’t make it up.
Speaking of Susak, my dad remembers as a student travelling around Croatia back in the 1930s about the border between Italy and Yugo which ran along a narrow stream or something in the middle of the city between Rijeka and Susak, and how the Italian border guard wouldn’t allow him to cross from Susak into Rijeka because he didn’t have the right papers. He left Croatia in 1945 at the end of NDH, so the first time he ever got to see Rijeka, Istria or even Zadar was in the early 1990s.
Some of us were questioning the rumors that linked Bayern with Halilovic and didn’t believe them. This basically kills those rumors……..
http://www.jutarnji.hr/-izmislili-su-ponudu-bayerna–zele-mi-se-osvetiti–halilovic-ogorcen-na-dinamo/1135303/
@Armada87
re: Dinamo I thnk they do have similarities to Gradanski which was founded 1911 and dissolved 1945 but this debate could go on forever.
Regardless Rijeka is playing well and happy for them.
@ Marko
Yeah, I’m not sure how good Calcio Splato was… They never played in a formal league it seems. Out of all those Italian teams, it seems as though Fiumana seemed the most organzied and had the best results.
Rijeka has a Croatian team older than Fiumana even – NK Orijent. Granted, they’re from Susak (a outlying part of Rijeka) but they were founded in 1919 and they’ve always played in the lower leagues, although they made it the the Prva HNL in the mid 90’s I want to say. Shame, they have a solid ultras group (Red Fuckers) for such a small team. Another team called Victoria (a Croatian team) was founded in 1906 or something like that, but I hardly know anything about the club… Rijeka actually hosted the first football game in Croatia in 1873.
Then there are a few teams in Istra (Italy east, as some of you claim) that were founded in the early 1900’s… NK Optaija, NK Rovinj, NK Medulin but all those clubs are small potatoes and never really made it out of the county leagues..
Abu thoughts on this?
http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/oct/24/formations-tactics-manchester-city
@Armada – the whole reason Hajduk was founded back in 1911 was to champion the Croatian population of Split (around 95% of the city even in those days) against Calcio Spalato who claimed to be the team of the “autonomists” and Italians. However I don’t think Calcio ever played professionally or even carried on in existence after 1918.
Was there any Croatian club team based in Rijeka or Pula before 1945? I’m guessing Mussolini wouldn’t have allowed it, but he only got into power in the 1920s so just checking if you knew of anything before then.
@ Ziva
LOL — good question…
Did the players from AC Dalmazia run and hide back in the day?
A little more from our new coach.
http://www.24sata.hr/nogomet/igraci-otvorili-dusu-rekli-su-mi-stvari-koje-prije-nisu-bile-dobre-338167
@ IvicA
A quick little history lesson for everyone that wasn’t aware
Fiumama started in Serie B in the late 30’s. And Rijeka claims no historical connection to Fiumana, since Fiumana disbanded in I want to say 43-44 and NK Kvarner (eventually Rijeka) was founded in 45-46. A few Fiumana players did end up playing for Kvarner though. But I’ve never read anything that Rijeka claims to be founded in ’26, the year Fiumana was.
I was always turned off by Dinamo claiming Gradanski/HASK roots … different clubs founded in completely seperate ways.
A few Italian teams existed in Istra/Dalmacija back in the day … not just Fiumana
Grion Pola – from Pula
Fiumana – from Rijeka
Calcio Spalato – from Split
AC Dalmazia – from Zadar (GASP! bet a lot of you big time Dalmatinci didn’t know you had Italian teams not too long ago)
@Iggy nah not on this site, but when i said it people didnt seem so convinced so its good to see someone sees the resemblance, bloody blind freddy can see that 😀
I know we all hate Stimac but to give him SOME credit..
it did result in a 3-1 aggregrate victory over some cunting back of buffalo shit country i cant quite remember the name of now.
If you consider in ’99 we lost out in that awful way that we did (although both games were drawn) against then Jugoslavija, i think this redemption was a long time coming.
Yes, you can say we might’ve won by more or played better with a better coach but it is something igor can always say.. oh, at least i coached HRV to their first home/away victory over those fucking disgusting, dirty, dirty, piece of shit, scum, motherfucking dogshit eating cunt-hating arse-fucking pieces of shit called serbs.
everytime 3rd rock from the sun was mentioned
i used to jokingly call it 3rd cock from the bum
*hee hee hee*
Dalmo Ante, you didn’t say that on this site before tho did u ??
I haven’t heard it before, i just noticed it then when looking up the pic from E.R… LOL
@Iggy been sayin for years Carli and Visnjic are look a likes, glad someone has picked up on it 😀
@Faux Cro Agreed arrested development was and i guess we can say is awesome, i think they got the go ahead for another netflix season
Where is the love for breaking bad? though walter white is still just Hal to me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRSHNqr8ATE
Igor is of the firm belief that he was brought in only to defeat the serbs, well he did 75% of the task, clearly he must get a pass mark as a coaching extraordinaire 😀
i have to say tho, when i have watched HRV play with my female friends, without a doubt Niko Kranjcar is the one they drool over rather than charlie
and Arrested Development
Six Feet Under was good too.
actually he looks like a little bit like corluka in that pic??
http://pichost.biz/viewer.php?id=jdv1382695276g.jpg
No wonder he helped u score
@Marko:
I agree, but it had some funny episodes. Mostly involving the supporting characters.
ahgahaha fucky me nip-nips i looked it up and he was Dr Luka Kovac..
How fitting is it we are talking about that given Niko just took the coaching job ???
LOLOL
http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0018627/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_20
@Faux Cro – I never really got Seinfeld or understood why people thought it was funny. Maybe it just didn’t translate well across the Atlantic.
Life on Mars was excellent, and 3rd Rock definitely had its moments.
Life on Mars and 3rd Rock from the Sun were great shows.
Most Seinfeld episodes didn’t hold up well over time. The 1st season was awful then and now.
Friends is unwatchable unless you have a thing for young Jennifer Aniston.
@Colin:
LMFAO
You might be underestimating the 10-20 year part.
@Iggy – yes, his name was Luka on the show and I think he was actually meant to be a Croatian doctor, although I didn’t actually watch it much (I was too busy scoring with girls who got off on Croatians at that time…). That’s one of the reasons why there now are 1000s of 8-10 year old boys across London all called Luka, named after the world’s best-known fictional Croatian doctor. Crazy but true…
Ziva: i dont think anyone ever said they wanted you banned did they ?? That would be silly, i think most people want as much free speech as possible so i dont think anyone should be banned unless they’re persistently hacking or doing something malicious like when serbs come onto the site to abuse hrvati women etc..
also u might act differently if you’re real name was on here..
remember how one of the anon’s was so precious he was threatening to contact my uni etc ???
Really ridiculous, that.. but i guess u never know what ppl will do if they know your identity as disappointing as that is
I’d say it helped me to score with girls but it would take A LOT MORE than that for me !! lol
His name was Luka on the show hey ??
I remember cos back then i went by my middle name which was Luka so it was handy for me too !
Was he actually croatian IN THE SHOW, like was that his character?
@Iggy – yes, he’s Goran Visnjic. Having him feature as a doctor in ER always used to help me to score with girls who liked that kind of thing and thought all Croatian guys must be like him, haha. He’s actually from near Sibenik (so he must be a decent bloke…), and he’s also directed some very serious Shakespeare performances too.
What was show the hrvat actor was in ? E.R where he wad a Dr?I can’t remember now.. Luka some1 I think ??
+1 to airwolf, MacGyver, knightrider
In the UK only some very girly-girls ever watched 90210. Friends was just about the only US import that actually got both sexes watching the same show and not being ashamed to admit it to each other. BTW – is it just me or was Joey from Friends modelled on how most Croatian guys behaved at that age?
Seeing as Friends wasn’t on last night, I ended up watching Dinamo actally play a semi-decent performance against PSV, for the first time in ages – and I say that as a Hajduk supporter. Brozovic and Ademi both played solid matches surprisingly. Fernandez was shockingly bad. Maybe Dinamo should play all their matches in empty stadiums from now on, judging by last night’s improvement?
its all about Friends
A-team, Airwolf, Magnum-PI, MacGyver, Dukes of Hazard, Transformers, Gi-joe, were awesome.
Freaks and Geeks was my jam back in the day. Always had a thing for Linda Cardellini
Ah, Iggy is still watching soaps that my mom was watching in the 90’s. You know, the Aussies are like a decade or two behind us. One asked me the other day if I’ve seen the new episode of Seinfeld this week.
As Iggy would say: Best Cunts on Soap Operas
The bold and beautiful best soap

The actor who played Balki was Russian/Italian
The character Balki was supposed to be some villager from a fictional Greek/Cypriot island
@Miki
Blossom is going a bit far, was Balki from perfect strangers Hrvat?
Because it has my initials, the word American and home to the original TGIF (thank goodness it’s Friday)
@Ante B…….appears you only watched shows on ABC back in the day.
Best show ever is Perfect Strangers. Poglavnice, My Secret Identity?!? Niiiiice! Full House, Just the 10 of Us, Mr Belvedere, Family Matters…and the WondervYears. Fuck we had amazing TV!
geeeeeez 90210 how far we done fell?
wonder years and married with children were shows worth watching, but geeeez im glad i came up in the days of the sopranos, the wire, the shield etc etc
@ Faux Cro
The “Rijeka playing in Serie C” comment was made because they actually DID play in Serie C a long time ago when they were known as US Fiumana back in the 1920s.
@ARMADA
I’m just fucking with you. I know you go nuts for Rijeka and anything Istra, so I just wanted to push you off the edge.
I’m actually rooting for Rijeka this year and have been very ‘pro’ trying out Benko on the Cro NT. I was even posting about Matjaz Kek becoming Cro national team coach one day.
u guys are old as shit, get a LIFE!
My Secret Identity!
Charles in Charge. California dreams. Blossom. Bobbys world
90210 rules, better to watch that instead of shit like Hajduk or Dinamo.
Clearly all of you are komunisti. Real Hrvati only watch Djevojka imena Fariha.
Ziva your parents have clearly failed you. An adult watching that garbage. Sramota!
You are right, Lovren probably doesn’t care.
maybe, but I doubt it.
I bet Lovren was praying for a Rijeka victory today.
@Ziva:
You go out of your way to be edgy, provocative, confrontational and insulting.
It doesn’t bother me, but apparently others don’t care for it.
If you posted using your real name, your tone would be different.
huh??????
Your delivery sucks. u know what you are doing.
Pretend you were posting using your real name. How would you modify your delivery?
shit???? I thought she was part asian.
@Ziva
Orientals?
Danica Mckeller is Portuguese and Irish dude.
less of a twat???? can’t, that means I would have to be less honest.
Not banned.
people want u to b less of a twat
and to think, so people wanted me banned from this site……….
Topango…..only because I’m not attracted to orientals.
Who’d you rather…
Topanga or Winnie Cooper?
Damn Savage bros. probably hit them both!
hahahah MURICAAAAA

Audi’s take on the El Clasico
This is how bad our football is becoming, people talking about 90210. Lol????
ALF vs. MacGayver?
Any thoughts?
I watched Married with Children.
On the east coast, 90210 was a chick show. Almost as bad as watching Sex in the City.
@Ivica:
LOL. Serie C.
U17’s still with a chance to go through. Argentina must beat Canada and Sweden must beat Mexico tomorrow.
^^THAT’S A COIN TOSS RIGHT THERE^^
What is more difficult to believe:
Kirk Cameron (from “Growing pains” fame) becoming all religious and not banging half of Hollywood when he was “IT” in Hollywood OR Igor Stimac actually being hired as national team coach?
Tori Spelling ever having a lead role on a tv or movie again OR Ivan Rakitic one day scoring an important goal for Hrvatska with his head?
Al Bundy would think his 4 TD’s in one game is more impressive that’s for sure. He’d tell you that while in his throwing pose and grin on his face hahaha
You guys are the best internet friends a guy can have!..
So how bad is Dinamo these days? We’d rather talk One Tree Hill and 90210 rather then thir European games.
mmmmm Keel Kapowski man…..all day!
I was a big ‘The Wonder Years’ fan…
Kevin Arnold’s sister on that show was a piece of ass too. Winnie never did it for me really.
and a little trvia tidbit – Paul Pfeiffer, Kevin’s best bud on the show, is a lawyer at some firm here in Midtown not too far from my office haha
@ziva – yeah, you’re right. I might be the first Hajduk fan in history to feel sorry for Dinamo – historic day.
@Bobby V……..so true……but, to be fair there is more interest in us discussing 90210 than there is in watching Dinamo play in the Europa League. Shit, diehard Dinamo fans and Dinamo apologists are even tuning out.
What is more impressive?:
Al Bundy scoring four touchdowns in one game or Vedran Corluka going one week without picking up an STD?
Tiffani Amber Thiessen going from flat-chested on Saved by the Bell to “look at them boobies” on 90210 or a diaspora Hrvat being able to correctly place a drink order at kafic along the coast without gramatically screwing up?
Dinamo is playing in a European league match, there’s about 20-30 people at Maksimir and we’re talking 90210
Awesome.
Cant forget about party of 5. Jennifer Love Hewitt turned out to be a babe then she got thick! All time favorite is Married with children! That show had all the hot chics in spandex and minis! Al Bundy is a legend!
Al Bundy is king.
I’m with you on this Ziva.
90210 was the pinnacle and Degrassi Junior High was right up there too.
Never got into any of those newer shows.
Can’t wait for your list!
@Colin…………you’re welcome.
Since we have over 3 weeks to go before the playoff game against Iceland, we should do a top list of TV shows we grew up on. I’ll start that up in the next week or two.
Tree Hill is paul sears from season 4 aka dan scott in tree hill.
peyton brooke racheal haley better looking than kelly and brenda horse andria maybe not tiff
Sammir?
People arguing about HNL? Then talking about 90210?? This is why this is literally my favorite website.
One Tree Hill???????????? oh, hell no!!!!!!!!!!
All those other shows were rip offs of 90201. Even Melrose Place was a by-product of 90201.
For the last 15 minutes, I’ve been watching the Dinamo-PSV game (0-0, 73rd minute). I can hear a couple of fans but have yet to see any of them.
Are they all wearing dark blue t-shirts or are those the color of the chairs?
lalalalalllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa slalalalalaa
One tree hill is better
Way too much Horse-face and Vanilla-Ice!
All i know is Dylan and Steve had the best babes, and Brandon’s girls were always a little wack.
This is a great topic of conversation btw…
true…i was never a big David fan.
@ Ziva no man well its your opnion so i cannot argue it, but imo highscholl was cheeze fun and then horse face vigin martin and vanilla ice took over
@Kreten………hell no. Nothing was better than seeing what Steve was up to with his KEG house fraternity brothers.
Ziva 90210 after highschool suckedddddd. Tori Horse face donna martin as leading role man
That Drunk Cico had a chance to have the best Croatia team, man if he only didnt drink too much man imagine this team back in 2006 3-5-2 Pletikosa-Tudor Kovac Simic -Srna Pranjic- Modric Kovac Rapaic Prso Petric. Bench Kranjcar Eduardo Olic Klasnic Corluka Babic Simunic. instead he had tokic tomas bosnjak buljat seric man
Petric is the other player besides Kranjcar that can shoot from distance. It’s what you need when there is no creativity from your forwards.
90201 was a damn good show, even with all the socially concious episodes. I liked the college years and right after they graduated.
In case you guys were not aware, the Soap Network airs back-toback episodes of 90210 each weekday. When not at work, I’ll be in the fortified basement watching the show.
Love that early 90’s, So-Cal style!
Niko Kovac said that he wants Petric on the team if hes in form that mladen is a good locker room player.
90210 was good 1-3 season the when horse face Aka tori spelling became the start and ruined he show!
@Ziva & Armada
Hilarious stuff boys!
I thought I was the only grown-ass man that likes that show.
I prefer the early ’90s ones though.
With Brenda and Dylan, and before David became a little too cool for school. 🙂
@ Ziva
fair point as well, since you are a fan of JiM Hajduk and all – hey , I can never no to a Beverly Hills 90210 rerun, especially when Tiffany Amber Thiessien was on it, post Saved By The Bell?
majku bojza…
@ Armada Hajduk is also rebuilding i am a Hjaduk fan but not a torcidas, i just hate Dinamo beacuse of Mamic but im proud of Rijeka trying to act civilized not like balkan asses!
@ Ziva thats ok but trying them out isnt a problem atleast i hope watch B sevilla v Slovan Liberec Renato Kelic looked got at stoper im just saying, alot of talent croatia has but maybe they are not International material, and we need to be a team not individuals Niko Kvac said that best in FIFA interview
@ IvicA
I love the hate, bro. I take it you root for Dinamo/Hajduk?
Hey listen…. I’d be jealous too if the team from the 3rd biggest city in Croatia is properly run, has an ever growing academy, is building a beautiful new stadium – which will probably be the nicest in Croatian, picks up quality players, plays hard in Europe and is a strong challenger for the HNL title this year.
Oh yeah … and makes Hajduk and DZG look bad. Not bad for a Serie C team, huh?
😉
@ARMADA
Nobody cares because we don’t follow teams that should be playing in Serie C where they belong.
@Armada……fair point. For me, I have no rooting interest if Rijeka wins or loses. I’d like to see them win only because they are a Cro club, but I won’t go out of my way to watch them play. If a re-run of Beverly Hills 90201 is on or a Rijeka Europa Cup match, I’m watching Brandon and gang.
@Jure…….There won’t be any friendlies until March, maybe February.
I care about HNL and clubs Rijeka played muski in all the EL games and skidam kapu! Tomecak Benko Kramaric should get frienfly call ups IMO>
You clowns get hard ons when the U-17’s and Hajduk beats teams like HD, meanwhile Rijeka plays a big EL match and no one gives a crap.
Nice.
1-0 Lyon
75 minute
Rijeka going for the result here, taking out Pokrivac and bringing on Sharbini
I don’t expect Stimac to go all out. I am sure there is something written into his contract where he can lose whatever is still owed to him until the end of July.
Hahaha i cant for Sunday now. Its going to get interesting…
I hope Strucnjak Stimac comes out strong against everyone…..Because then we can get a war of words with Puppet Suker and Mamic.
but what made him the right guy for the Serbia match? the reasons he mentioned are complete BS – that he could handle the media and hype surrounding the game? ma kurac..
Stimac speaking to the media for the first time. Here is just a glimpse of his stupidity, the rest of the interview will be out this Sunday.
http://www.index.hr/sport/clanak/stimac-se-skriva-od-pravosudja-ali-ne-i-od-kamera-davor-me-je-trebao-samo-zbog-srbije/707941.aspx
Guessing there will be less than 5K at today’s game.
For Dinamo’s sake, I hope they can pull out some type of result … but with their shit form in the HNL recently and not being able to do anything vs. the likes of Ludogorets and Chornomorets, I think this will be in the lasy nail in the coffin for Dinamo’s european campaign
If Dinamo lose this, it’s over.
Time to send Soudani, Junior Fernandes, Lee Addy, Bakary Sare, and Sandomierski packing.
Waste of money, and resulting in having young Croatian talent stagnate and waste away on the bench for mediocre foreign bums.
Actually, I’d keep Soudani a little longer since he’s scored some and he cost like 1M euros. Time to toss Sammir and let Brozović play.
AJME MENI NIJE MI DODRO, AJMEEEEEEEE MENI NIJE MI DOBRO
AJME MENI JA SAM ARMADAAAAAAAAAAAAA
like I mentioned in previous posts, the Croatian flag bearers for this European season will show up tonight vs. Lyon, don’t you worry momci
The short answer is NO. I don’t think they can.
