Inter Milan face Manchester City in the Champions League Final Saturday (3pm ET kickoff). If Inter win, that would make it 11 straight years a Croatian lifts the CL crown. Will it happen?
✅Yes or No❌
Croatian CDM Marcelo Brozović played and scored in Inter’s Serie A finale last weekend. He will once again start for Inter in a 3-5-2 formation.
Inter will have to contain the mighty Manchester City defense and keep it a tight game. I would imagine Inter will play for a 1-0 victory and bunker heavily after the fact if they do in fact bag an opening goal. A classic Italian counter-attack game should be expected.
It will be a tight first half and Inter should consider it a morale victory if the first 45 minutes ends 0-0. Inter will surely play a 4-5-1, especially with Mkhitaryan listed as doubtful to start the match.
Will epic Broz keep the Croatian streak alive?
Rapt that a team that truly represents fair play won the UCL, and even better, a “coach” that couldn’t coach pigs to be dirty thinks he achieved something ???????? of course I didn’t watch it, because you’d have to be a f****** bozo to watch that crap.
I didn’t watch the game here so I cannot comment on it, but Broz isn’t typically a goal scorer…so in response.can you tell me how he handled his defense duties??
Bernado cut back pass to wide open Rodri and bang 1-0
Martinez picks up errand back pass and goes for goal on BS angle while Brozovic is wide open at the top of the box
Not to mention Lukaku misses a point blank header.
All those years people talking shit about Mandžukić “tap ins.” He finished all of those chances.
Brozovic played well and definitively better than his midfield teammates.
He will actually be in good rhythm for this Wednesday.
Musa has to step up this week.
Beljo is a good look as well.
We actual will have some size on corners with our CB pairing and striker options.
That make a difference offensively and defensively.
Dutch have some size in their squad that has to be dealt with.
Kovačić dominates ?
It’s sad to see my predictions on gvardiols injury proneness play out so quickly but all the signs were always there
I don’t know if anyone noticed but he wore a mask last World Cup. Couldn’t be a sign more in front of one’s face
Croatia still has a chance though as they have developed into a very good team because they have honed an identity in recent years
They are like the greek euros winning team but more through possession than bunker
They have very limited ability to score goals (they only won 2 out of 7 games at the World Cup)
But they suffocate the game with their possession.
Dodig won doubles in French open
Some kid from split won the boys
And that other kid won Wimbledon last year
I know it doesn’t necessarily translate but that’s some high end talent coming up,no?
Dannyj, Mili Poljicak won last year’s junior boys Wimbledon and Dino Prizmic won the French boys junior title yesterday.
Mili is currently ranked around the 650 and going backwards. The kid is overweight, and I doubt that he will make it in singles. He is better suited to playing doubles.
I have seen a bit of Dino last year and watched his semifinal and final at this year’s French. He is currently ranked around the 300 mark but is heading in the right direction. He does not have any big shots but I can see him making a living out of tennis, potentially a top 50 player.
Hold on a sec guys…. there, just finished pulling out the horseshoe up Manchester City’s ass. Two up their goalies ass.
Vida gonna get a banger
He’s due!
No panic friends
I read somewhere that Stanišić is injured too.
Terrible timing for a Gvardiol injury.
Hopefully our Erlić/Šutalo pairing is ready to go.
Broz looked good today. If our midfield trio are clicking and our backline is steady (which Erlić is known for bringing) then we should be okay.
Beljo and Musa gives us something up top that we’ve been missing for a while. Hopefully they get some burn.
Need Sosa and Perišić to click on that left side for us. Unfortunately, Dalić didn’t call up Oršić so we don’t have any substitutes there.
Our right side will be fine with Juranović, Ivanušec, Kramarić, etc. Lots of options there.
That’s sucks about Gvardiol. It’s going to be Sutalo and Vida in the back.
Dalic will go with the veteran presence in the back just like he did with Lovren at the WC.
Nah.
The pairing during our Nations League group phase was Erlić and Šutalo for all the most difficult matches, with Lovren playing in the last game.
He went through the media to get himself into the starting eleven. I think Dalić wanted to start Šutalo, but he pussed out because Lovren would cause issues if he didn’t start.
Vida is a different personality. He’s not the type to cause issues or pressure the coach. Dalić has him on the team as a cheerleader and veteran presence, but he won’t start.
Do we bring Ivana Knoll for next week? Didn’t work tonight but it might work .
She’ll be there whether you like it or not.
Modric considering the Saudis again
Two-year contract at 55 million Euro per season.
Very disrespectful offer.
Kante’s career is over and got 100 million Euro per year. He’s actually struggling to pass the physical.
Can I say … Lukakurac!
Wish he would have scored that header.
Last 15 minutes aside, was a snooze fest.
I know goals aren’t everything, but that’s six goals total in the last CL finals (one of them a PK).
I think the last exciting one, for a neutral, was Real 3 Liverpool 1.
“In the last FIVE CL finals…..”
Have to agree. Brozovic sent a ball into the area and I still have no idea how inter never scored.
Lukaku pulled off a Rakitic at the most inopportune time. Damn
That’s twice Brozović has been done by Arab money in the last 12 months
It appears that Beljo is gonna be joining the team for the Nations League.
So Gvardiol is out due to an abdominal wall injury according to the news. Majer is also out I think due a different injury.
I dunno it’s looking pretty bad here. Can Dalic still bring on Beljo or is he not able to.
Yes he can, fifa allows call-ups if a players injured like Gvardiol but with Livaja decision, he couldn’t because he went out of the team on his own terms.
Speaking of that, Beljo has been now called up to the National Team.
Man City didn’t look like a team that was any better than Inter Milan in this final match although when we compare the player valuations spent per team, Man City’s roster is worth over 1 billion Euros while Inter Milan’s roster is worth just over 520 million Euros!
Fuck me, this game was far closer than I expected and Inter should have easily scored two goals or more but sometimes this game can break hearts!
My comments to Pep Guardiola are simply this….?Pep, you’re nowhere near as good as you think you are and in your case, without your club spending billions or having Messi in his prime along with Xavi and Iniesta, you’re just a loud mouth douche bag that I will never respect for as king as I live. He’s blamed everyone but himself for his previous downfalls and shortcomings…even blaming the team doctor back at Bayern for his lack of progress in the Champions League. I can’t stand arrogant people like him and I don’t respect a club that spends endless amounts of money to achieve…that doesn’t make them special!
?????
As always people hate on me for speaking truth but then always the truth occurs.
I’ve been warning for a long time how gvardiol was a good player but extremely injury prone and that would prove itself to be a pain
Brozovic with a pretty good first half. He’s already intercepted 2-3 passes and has been very involved with everything through the middle of the field…what a responsible guy, I’m happy he’s wearing the armband today…what a classy move from his coach!
Man I really want to beat Netherlands.
Gvardi injured????? Wtf
Sutalo/erlic?
Sutalo/stanisic?
Erlic/stani?
Lovren/vida?;)
Beljo got called up as a result
Anyone else enjoying the Socca World Cup ? Croatia in the semifinals ? Let’s Go BROZ?
Yes, I have been watching our matches. We come up against Ukraine in the semi final.
I don’t know the other midfield right now on broz
But going for a shut down type match hard to imagine many guys that can do that better as a midfielder then broz
Plus he really has the huge game experience now with all the big matches he has played with the repka
Of course hoping for a start and broz winning it with man of the match
But man city is so good right now
I still don’t know if I like kovacic moving there??
Hard to focus on anything by that Nations League match right now.
Hopefully Inter win, but man, it would be nice to score that win against the Netherlands on Wednesday and take that trophy.
I think the winner of the game on Wednesday between us and the Dutch will win the tournament due to Italy and Spain’s recent form.
I want Broz to start and I hope that Inter win this. I was routing most for Broz in this tournament, would be his first major title and would silence some of his doubters. Fingers crossed, it will be a tough one against Man City.
