Ivica Zubac is very quietly having a breakout season for the Los Angeles Clippers, who are playing their first season in Inglewood’s newest arena: the Intuit Dome. Sunday night, Zubac had 21 points, 19 rebounds and three blocks in a 116-102 win over the team that drafted him; the Los Angeles Lakers.
Zubac is averaging 15 points/12 rebounds in 41 games this season for the Clippers. He’s shooting an impressive 61% from the field. He fits in perfectly as a facilitator with NBA stars Kawhi Leonard and James Harden.
Per ClutchPoints.com, the Clippers are a perfect 7-0 this season when when Zubac tallies 20 points and 15 rebounds. They currently sit in 5th place in the western Conference standings; 1.5 games back of Denver for home court in the first round of the playoffs.
This was CroatianSports.com’s first game at the newly built Intuit Dome. It’s a fantastic venue for basketball catering to the fan experience: in-seat phone chargers, in-game trivia versus the rest of the arena, and a Chik-Fil-A gift card giveaway from the roof of the building, via 100 tiny parachutes.
I watched the game ..he is looking sharp .Also . I seen him converse with lebron .after the game hard to believe but… my god..he towered over lebron and he moves like hes 5ft 6 on the court.Nice to see our hrvats in big pro leagues..Major populated countries of 100s of millions can’t even field 1 player..just sayin.
He’s doing well and is more confident under the hoop, more decisive too. Only thing I can’t get, considering he is a good free throw shooter, is why he does not have or has not worked to develop an outside shot. Defending him is hard because of his size but would be much harder if there was a risk he could shoot.
