Marco Pašalić opened up his 2026 MLS account Sunday night vs. Messi and Inter Miami in a 4-2 loss. Pašalić took the ball down at the top of the box and fired away to make it 1-0. But I think we can all agree the goalie should have done better. Nonetheless, his first goal of the young MLS season as the Croatian winger has now scored in every game played against Miami.
Why is Marco Pašalić so important to Croatia’s World Cup success? Because we don’t have a true right winger to compliment Perišić on the left side. We need players to spread the field and run at defenses. Yes, Pašalić plays in the MLS but he can slot in where Dalić does not have a true winger. Mario Pašalić, Nikola Vlašić and Martin Baturina are all having exceptional seasons in Serie A. But they are not right wingers.
And neither is Kramarić. We will be keeping an eye on Pašalić for the next three months. Hopefully, he forces Dalić to consider him a starting winger if he performs well.

Pandur
SIX SAVES [the one near the end of the game is really good]
Unfortunately lost 1-0 [no keeper in the World could have saved that shot – it was a thunder-bolt into the top corner]
His distribution continues to suck (1 of 18 long-balls)

Glad he’s on the NT and going to the World Cup – he deserves it
Ivan Saranic
Goal + Assist today
That’s 7 goals and 1 assist in last 10 games
He’s 3 years younger than Marco
Croatia 2nd division is better than MLS
Nose-pickers you watching ?
Also see Pandur vs Ipswich 0-0 going into HT

Look at this goals !
1st goal – Saranic helping his FB (defensive work rate!) – then as pass/cross comes to him he smartly turns around and no look passes it off his pass downfield right to his his teammate (wow wow wow) – bombs down the wing – gets the ball back and does a little Niko Kranjcar and beautiful vision pass into his teammate in the box who fires it in
2nd goal – he corner kicks it into he box, which is headed in
Honestly – at this point – based on 2026 form – Anonymous is leaning towards Saranic over Marco (you you know Anonymous loves Marco) – maybe Dalic can take both of them
Additionally, here’s his World Class touch goal vs. Orient – this is something Marco (or most NT players) could never do – a bit of magic half-scorpion touch top-shelf [CRNKOVIC MUST WATCH!]

Maksimir
Are they going to sell the seats (and other stuff like signs) from the stadium before they demolish ???
Like Boston Gardens, Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens, etc did ?
Haven’t heard anything – hopefully they are smart enough to realize they can do it and there would be a large market for it
Haven’t heard anything about them doing this (but could have missed it)
Anyone ? Mart ???
Hopefully it’s not Anonymous – once again – coming up with the GOAT ideas
Is there anything left in that stadium to sell (other than some plastic seats and unstable concrete)?
I mean the plastic seats
Boston Gardens sold all the old crappy wooden seats in 1995 – everyone was all over them and quickly sold out.
We should let Boban know as if he made these kind of smart business decisions (28k x €35 = €980k) he would have been able to pay up for Jaga
Otherwise they are throwing an easy million euro into the dumpster
Pieces of the pitch ???!!!
The nets (pieces of the frames and mesh netting – cut them up)
Running track surrounding the pitch (more work but could cut into pieces)
Scoreboard !
Underground locker rooms – how do they look ? Doors etc from in there
Signs from inside stadium directing people
Any bricks or window from outside ?
Etc etc
There is lots that could be sold with a bit of organization and some work
But throwing it out is crazy – there is at least 2+ million sitting there
How much would you pay for a small piece of the pitch ? 100-200 euros at least – every Croat in the world would want to buy one to always keep the fond memories of Maksimir close to them
Also worth mentioning in the WC he will be playing in the USA where he resides and plays right now. It has a psychological advantage over those who will see playing in the states as foreign soil. I think.
Yea. His stomach is already adjusted to good ol’ US food.
While everyone else is on the toilet, both Pašalić and Musa will be powered by high fructose corn syrup.
Marco had to take up MMA / boxing in Orlando so he doesn’t become a Fatty
Seriously
Marco also complained about the crap US food last year – poor guy was in shock the crap many dumb Americans put in their body – I think he said he brought his mom over to cook for him bc he found it so bad
Can’t have enough guys that can finish with their left foot- we’ve been lucky to have so many guys who can finish left foot or right foot. Nice shot Pasalic, it should have been saved. Goalie was suspect at best
Watch the hi lites from that game MLS =Messi league soccer is pathetic.
Beyond shameful how the refs pander to the Argentinian dwarf but no doubt they get their marching orders from head office!
yeh, but what else would you expect?? Dude has a halo around him at all times.
Both Musa and Pasalic have started fast out the blocks where they finished up.
Yes, the shot was stoppable, but it found its way in. Hoping he ropes one next week to remove all doubt.
Musa did not score in FC Dallas 2nd game against Nashville but scored a brace in the first.
Both players are key figures on their team getting consistent time.
Correct me If I am wrong, Messi is still active on the national Team. and is playing in the MSL.
