Marco Pašalić opened up his 2026 MLS account Sunday night vs. Messi and Inter Miami in a 4-2 loss. Pašalić took the ball down at the top of the box and fired away to make it 1-0. But I think we can all agree the goalie should have done better. Nonetheless, his first goal of the young MLS season as the Croatian winger has now scored in every game played against Miami.
Why is Marco Pašalić so important to Croatia’s World Cup success? Because we don’t have a true right winger to compliment Perišić on the left side. We need players to spread the field and run at defenses. Yes, Pašalić plays in the MLS but he can slot in where Dalić does not have a true winger. Mario Pašalić, Nikola Vlašić and Martin Baturina are all having exceptional seasons in Serie A. But they are not right wingers.
And neither is Kramarić. We will be keeping an eye on Pašalić for the next three months. Hopefully, he forces Dalić to consider him a starting winger if he performs well.

Look at that F-ing Luka Vuskovic explosive start and recovery pace
Wow wow wow
He saved a goal after his teammate gave the ball away – the attacked had a 10 yard start on Luka – and Luka caught him
Luka V lost 1-0
A bit surprised he wasn’t able to follow the striker’s run and close him down (given the striker was running in front of him)
x.com/GoalsXtra/status/2029302109888274502
After watching Mlacic for 23′ you can see the different/stark contrast b/w the two in terms of foot speed, movement, agility – again – they probably would make a good pair as they complement each other (make up for each other’s “weaknesses”)
Robert Andrich started at CB for Leverkusen in that game.
Both of his parents are Croatian.
I wonder why the HNS never approached him to play for us.
He would’ve been very useful at CB for us as a solid veteran presence next to a young Vušković.
Rijeka 3 v Hajduk 2 in the Cup QF
Unbelievable match this, with 14 minutes of stoppage time being played because of pyrotechnics mostly by Torcida. Hajduk was leading 2 – 1 when Rijeka got a penalty in the last minute after VAR intervention.
Toni Fruk had his shot saved by Silic however he was the quickest to the rebound to make it 2 – 2.
The ref played another minute and Gabrijel Vidovic scored after a defensive error by Silic in Hajduk goal to make it 3 – 2. With all the delays Rijeka’s goals were scored in the 119 and 120 minute of regular time.
Maybe a bit harsh on the young goalkeeper Silic, two CB’s Raci and Skelin also to blame.
The main culprit for the defeat is Torcida and their fireworks resulting in 14 minutes of added time. This is not the first time that Hajduk has been disadvantaged by the action of their so-called supporters.
Dissaster for Igor Tudor
Elite pressing by JARROD F-ing BOWEN assist winning goal 1-0
https://x.com/footballontnt/status/2029300323005665302
Not Forrest 2-2
Igor Tudor now only ONE POINT FROM RELEGATION
He faces Palace tomorrow – if he doesn’t win – can see him being fired
Oh well.
Win win for us.
If Tudor keeps them up, then it’s good experience for him.
If they are relegated, then it’s more likely that Vušković will start next season (either on loan at HSV or at Spurs if they’re forced to sell some of their players).
Will the real locked and loaded Croatian players please perform consistently, stay healthy, stand up and be ready to be firmly counted. This ever-changing mystery mosaic of combinations of the perfect team is maddening, even without all the unforeseen injuries of late. It will be interesting who will be on that final team. Hopefully the players make it a hard decision for Dalic by all excelling leading up to the tournament.
Beljo 33 min vs 4th division semi pro side and can’t score a goal
If you think 2nd division Croatia is “garbage” then what does that make 4th division ???
And some morons want him starting vs England
LMAO
I don’t think anyone wants him starting vs England
Maybe start vs. England was an exaggeration
But is he NT calibre if he can’t score vs. a 4th division side in 33 min (watched the highlights and he was hanging around/in the box waiting and DEMANDING the corners come to him like he’s the only player they are allowed to kick the corner to) – who does he think he is ? He just wants to pump his stats
Davor telling me Croatia 2nd division is “garbage” (and discounting Saranic being on fire) – if that’s the case (Anonymous doesn’t agree) – then 4th division is [sub-human] (the players are full-time gas station pumpers, brick layers, toy boy to Petra Dugandzic, etc) – so it follows that DDB can’t perform in 33 min vs. them – that he’s lower than “garbage” – can’t argue it both ways (i.e. DDB should be on NT, while Saranic G+A are meaningless)
Speaks to his poor attitude and “me me me” attitude on the field
Anonymous remains concerned about his intangibles/mentality – seems similar in profile (mentality-wise) to a Kalinic in 2018 – who went home bc he didn’t start the first game
Jedvaj goal !
Dalic 💯 calling him
Jaga bench – still no kit -can’t come on – unreal
Are you serious or just playing around with Jagusic can’t get a kit?
Anonymous doesn’t joke about Jaga !!!
Go on the PAO web store to see if for yourself
Over month at the club and they still can’t get him replacements
I’ve reached out to Skegro to sort it out (but he probably is busy spending his commission on the Jaga transfer fee)
Dirty f Greeks
😂😂

On Wedding Boy – nobody posted his UNREAL interview from last week (delusional, deflective, entitled, arrogant, etc)
Maminjo, Crnkovic and Vlad will lose it once they read it – here it is !
#####
In an interview with the local newspaper Noticias de Gipuzkoa, Dragulj Vatrenih talked about many current events, but also took a retrospective look at the events of the summer. The focus, of course, was his sister’s wedding, which is why he decided to leave the national team camp, which is why he “resentment” the coach Zlatko Dalić …
– No, there was no problem. It was just that my sister was getting married. I talked to the coach beforehand and we clarified things. He’s not angry, and neither am I. I understand because if you want to play, you have to train and I can’t miss training. We talked and now he’s happy with me because I’m playing. He needs me in the national team. He was here last week, we talked and that’s it.
Well-informed Basque journalists also asked Sučić about the concert by Marko Perković Thompson , whom they characterized in the text as a singer of fascist ideology.
– I want to make it clear that he is not my friend. It is the biggest concert of the summer in Croatia and all the national team members are going, even the coach. There were 500,000 people. We went because it is the biggest concert and it has nothing to do with the Nazis. In Croatia, it is normal, just like every country has its greatest singer. In Croatia, he is the greatest, so we went there, not only with the national team but also with family and friends. That’s all.
Sučić also had controversy in San Sebastian. It was rumored that coach Francisco was actually punishing him by leaving him on the bench for refusing to train after the match, and the 23-year-old midfielder has cleared up the rumors…
– We were supposed to do a light warm-up run after the game and the truth is I didn’t do it because I was angry and went home straight away. The next day he spoke to me and said: “You’re not training, you’re not going to play in the Cup.” I replied: “Okay, no problem.” I apologized to the team and the fitness coach Casamichani and that was it – Sučić said, and concluded:
– But honestly, other players have done it before, but he only punished me. You’d have to ask him that… As far as I’m concerned, everything is fine, I accepted it and behaved professionally. I trained here with fitness coaches and that’s it.

Is this for real??? The kid is a moron 🙈
1000% real
Here’s the original Spanish interview (translated into English) – there were more questions that picked up by SN
It really was a gotcha interview over and over again (and he fell for it)
I’m sure Dalic was enthralled reading that the NT NEEDS Luka Sucic (amongst other gems)
Complete lack of judgement – seriously unreal stuff
The kid needs to STFU, run and kick a ball

Anonymous googled “Ivan Saranic Interview” in order to assess motivations (per CRO911 feedback that he is a prima donna) and Anonymous came up with THREE old CROATIANSPORTS.COM articles focused on Saranic – and it’s gold !
Croatiansports.com was pumping the guy in 2020-2021 like crazy
So Anonymous understands the PTSD now when his name comes up (burn me once shame on you, burn me twice shame on me)
MAMIC REJECTED AN OFFER FROM BARCA FOR SARANIC BECAUSE IT WASN’T HIGH ENOUGH !!!
But even better – everyone should stroll down memory lane – and look at the comments – they are HILARIOUS
Cap Saranic at 18 for the NT !
Stanisic NEVER BEING NT material and some conspiracy theory about him fabricating his birth in Germany (bc he didn’t reveal which city he was born in) and actually being born in Slavonski Brod
Kovacic is a BUST for the NT
Don’t write off Brekalo just yet !
Even the Grammar Princess is posting about Sp*rs LMAO
Gold – pure gold

Still haven’t found an interview with Saranic – if someone knows of one – please pass it along
Some good news today out of the Inter-Como match that ended 0-0.
First, Baturina came on in the 86th minute. Great to see he is back on the field. It looks like he’s on track to recover well.
Second, Petar Sucic was the top rated midfielder for Inter with a 7.0 on Sofascore.
Third, Smolcic was the player of the game. He has really come on this year at Como. He is making a strong case that he should be included at WC this summer.
Lastly, it seems that the Como coach, Cesc Fabregas, is a good coach. In any event, our Croatian players seem to thrive playing for him at this club. How would Ivanović look as a striker for Como? I think he would thrive there under this guy’s coaching. What about Jagusic playing in the midfield there with Baturina when Paz leaves? Maybe it would be a good place for Majer to go to escape Wolfsburg?
Anyway, I wouldn’t cry if a few more Croatians went to Como.
Agree about Smolcic he does not start every match, but when he plays, he usually has a good match and definitely should be included in the squad for the WC. He should be considered for the RB position if Stanisic moves to cover the LB position.
The match itself was one of the worst that I have seen in recent times.
It’s going to be Jakic and Smolcic by default at this point for RB – Barisic injured for a month – and Valincic impotent since he returned (and has limited footballing IQ and is limited to running energetically in a straight line)
What happened to Valinčić?
Everyone is talking about his he went from being the best RB in the HNL to the worst.
Is it really just the injury recovery?
Dad dreaming about Lu Mastrovic is what I’ve heard but can’t be true
If Baturina keeps progressing (and has a good World Cup) doubt he’ll be at Como for long (especially after Paz leaves)
More likely he re-unites with Paz at Madrid, along with Luka Vuskovic 😉
Who is the sporting director at Como?
These guys were also the first club to make a good offer for Peter Sučić when he was still at Dinamo.
They seem to have a real eye for talent.
Some of you were crying two months ago that Cesc was a bad coach because Baturina wasn’t playing. So, he is great coach now? The facts were Baturina was not ready for life in Italy right away. Cesc and Como had a plan and they stuck to it.
Baturina played because a spot opened up due to injury.
I’m sure he surprised them when he came out playing better than star player Nico Paz.
I don’t think there was a specific plan. They don’t stick to any plan if the injury didn’t happen.
Pandur
SIX SAVES [the one near the end of the game is really good]
Unfortunately lost 1-0 [no keeper in the World could have saved that shot – it was a thunder-bolt into the top corner]
His distribution continues to suck (1 of 18 long-balls)
***.skysports.com/football/video/30998/13514863/ipswich-1-0-hull-city-championship-highlights
Glad he’s on the NT and going to the World Cup – he deserves it
Ivan Saranic
Goal + Assist today
That’s 7 goals and 1 assist in last 10 games
He’s 3 years younger than Marco
Croatia 2nd division is better than MLS
Nose-pickers you watching ?
Also see Pandur vs Ipswich 0-0 going into HT
https:/***.youtube.com/watch?v=KvJlr628ErE
Look at this goals !
1st goal – Saranic helping his FB (defensive work rate!) – then as pass/cross comes to him he smartly turns around and no look passes it off his pass downfield right to his his teammate (wow wow wow) – bombs down the wing – gets the ball back and does a little Niko Kranjcar and beautiful vision pass into his teammate in the box who fires it in
2nd goal – he corner kicks it into he box, which is headed in
Honestly – at this point – based on 2026 form – Anonymous is leaning towards Saranic over Marco (you you know Anonymous loves Marco) – maybe Dalic can take both of them
Additionally, here’s his World Class touch goal vs. Orient – this is something Marco (or most NT players) could never do – a bit of magic half-scorpion touch top-shelf [CRNKOVIC MUST WATCH!]

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but boy do I disagree with a lot of yours. I usually just ignore them because I figure you’re pretty young with how much time you have to post 20+ times on each thread, but to say the 2nd division of Croatia is a higher level than the MLS is pretty silly. I’m not an MLS fan by any means but that’s just a weird thing to say when it is just clearly wrong. Maybe to say there is more technical quality would be more acceptable, but plain better? No.
I don’t even mean to come off as a jerk here either, but a word of advice. You can prefer certain players and follow them WITHOUT bashing on the other players. I can appreciate when you give updates on different players’ performances, however a lot of the goofy things you say just seems to be to get a reaction like a certain person people used to call “truth troll” years ago. At least that crummy team from London is so bad that you post a lot less about them.
Seriously, keep up the passion for the sport, have fun with it, and joke around but I think a lot more people would respect what you say more if you tone down the goofy stuff that just seems to be to get a reaction.
Saranic did not make it at Dinamo as he was a diva who thought he didn’t have to work hard to make the first team. Very talented player but is nothing more then another Muric Corinne Halilovic.
Post in moderation
Hear you on the diva
Didn’t realize CS.com wrote three articles about him in 2020-2021 – so now Anonymous understands the PTSD folks have on him
Do you remember Mamic turned down an offer from Barca for Saranic because he wasn’t high enough !
Wait until Ante releases the post – it’s full of GOLD (especially all the comments)
Croatian 2nd division is garbage. Do you watch the games and fields they play on.
Maksimir
Are they going to sell the seats (and other stuff like signs) from the stadium before they demolish ???
Like Boston Gardens, Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens, etc did ?
Haven’t heard anything – hopefully they are smart enough to realize they can do it and there would be a large market for it
Haven’t heard anything about them doing this (but could have missed it)
Anyone ? Mart ???
Hopefully it’s not Anonymous – once again – coming up with the GOAT ideas
Is there anything left in that stadium to sell (other than some plastic seats and unstable concrete)?
I mean the plastic seats
Boston Gardens sold all the old crappy wooden seats in 1995 – everyone was all over them and quickly sold out.
We should let Boban know as if he made these kind of smart business decisions (28k x €35 = €980k) he would have been able to pay up for Jaga
Otherwise they are throwing an easy million euro into the dumpster
You really think fans are going to purchase those plastic things. They are not even seats. Just plastic that is drilled into the concrete.
Pieces of the pitch ???!!!
The nets (pieces of the frames and mesh netting – cut them up)
Running track surrounding the pitch (more work but could cut into pieces)
Scoreboard !
Underground locker rooms – how do they look ? Doors etc from in there
Signs from inside stadium directing people
Any bricks or window from outside ?
Etc etc
There is lots that could be sold with a bit of organization and some work
But throwing it out is crazy – there is at least 2+ million sitting there
How much would you pay for a small piece of the pitch ? 100-200 euros at least – every Croat in the world would want to buy one to always keep the fond memories of Maksimir close to them
True. And a great idea.
Even mere pieces of concrete from Maksimir would sell well.
I remember being with a group of Vancouver Canucks hockey fans in Chicago to see the Blackhawks play about 30-35 years ago. Chicago stadium was just rubble, it had been (or part of it had been) knocked down. The bus stopped there and the Vancouver fans jumped off the bus, climbed through a fence, onto the rubble, collected pieces of concrete, and then rushed back onto the bus. A few hundred pounds of Chicago Stadium went back to Vancouver. They didn’t have to pay, but no doubt they would have.
The Vancouver Canucks recently sold the old seats from Rogers Arena when they were replaced. Season ticket holders paid $100 for their two seats.
Would Croatians at home and around the world pay for a piece of concrete from Maksimir?
No doubt about it.
It is part of Croatian history that goes even beyond football.
Of interest, I think that the penalty boxes from Boston Garden went to John Ferguson of the Montréal Canadiens and Terry O’Reilly of the Boston Bruins. The Bruins gave those two the penalty boxes, or at least the seats in the penalty boxes. They both spent a lot of time there. Maybe Modric and some of the other legends who played for Dinamo should have particular parts of the stadium set aside for them in the same manner . . .
Fantastic colour @ATinU !!!
Anonymous stayed away from the concrete pieces (it crossed my mind) in case there were any bodies buried in there (never say never) so mentioned the pitch pieces (imagine they cut the pitch into little squares and mount them (however best to preserve it) and sell them – every Croat in the World would pay hundreds upon hundreds of euros for that little piece of pitch)
The old Montreal Forum also sold it’s seats too when it closed (or got renovated or whatever) – I guess all the original 6 hockey teams must have done this (selling/giving away the seats and stuff)
https://lelands.com/bids/original-montreal-forum-seat
Also worth mentioning in the WC he will be playing in the USA where he resides and plays right now. It has a psychological advantage over those who will see playing in the states as foreign soil. I think.
Yea. His stomach is already adjusted to good ol’ US food.
While everyone else is on the toilet, both Pašalić and Musa will be powered by high fructose corn syrup.
Marco had to take up MMA / boxing in Orlando so he doesn’t become a Fatty
Seriously
Marco also complained about the crap US food last year – poor guy was in shock the crap many dumb Americans put in their body – I think he said he brought his mom over to cook for him bc he found it so bad
Can’t have enough guys that can finish with their left foot- we’ve been lucky to have so many guys who can finish left foot or right foot. Nice shot Pasalic, it should have been saved. Goalie was suspect at best
Watch the hi lites from that game MLS =Messi league soccer is pathetic.
Beyond shameful how the refs pander to the Argentinian dwarf but no doubt they get their marching orders from head office!
yeh, but what else would you expect?? Dude has a halo around him at all times.
Messi = Head Office (he gets a minority stake in Inter Miami when his contract ends in 2028) – no point in the refs pissing off an owner
Both Musa and Pasalic have started fast out the blocks where they finished up.
Yes, the shot was stoppable, but it found its way in. Hoping he ropes one next week to remove all doubt.
Musa did not score in FC Dallas 2nd game against Nashville but scored a brace in the first.
Both players are key figures on their team getting consistent time.
Correct me If I am wrong, Messi is still active on the national Team. and is playing in the MSL.
