UEFA, European football’s governing body, announced earlier this week that the 2020 European championships will not be hosted by a single country, nor by a joint bid for that matter, rather by the entire continent of Europe. ESPNFC.com has reported that at least 13 cities across Europe will be picked as hosts for the 24-team, 51-match tournament.
1. Is this better or worse for fans travel-wise?
2. Could Zagreb or Split possibly be in UEFA’s plans as host cities?
this is an experiment in which everyone can enjoy the games…but can also ruin it..interesting
..
@black Zodiac only filth on this site is you
@ Ante B Svaka ti cast. You always stand up to the crap and call it for what it is. Well done.
with the current Maksimir, no Zagreb would not host it. If they build a new stadium I am certain Zagreb would host some games. HNS would never allow Split to host these games, lets be real
@Ante B
This Black Zodiac is garbage. Thank you telling him what a piece of garbage he is.
@Black Zodiac you disgust me
Fat jokes?! Ustashi? Hrvats? Nose? What’s next “back to you and your mama too?”
Awesome take.
Signed,
Fatty
Does anyone see a Western european love fest with the cities that will be named? Dublin, Bucharest, & Glascow really? Zagreb makes a better choice.
We will now refer Black Zodiac to “Yugo Zodiac” You are sooooooooooooooooooo a Yugo lover. You must wave that blue white red, red star flag proudly and bow down to your tito picture that hangs over your fireplace
@ ante b
All this coming from you? As the Ustashi suporter that you are, how is it you fit in so well when your nose is bigger then your gut? If I were Pavelic I would have killed the fat ones first. suran wrap you so you don’t contaminate the dirt and shoot in the nose. Talk about filth..
@ Ante
Can’t be Jugo, wasn’t born there under that title.
I’m going to be sick from this yugo filth. A ti si kao iz Karlovca?! Ziher iz mjesanoga braka jebote, ljudi pa kaj je ovo u pizdu lijepu materinu?! Like someone said earlier, where were these fucks when we were growing up, hiding like rats and now just came out?
@ TOR
The main reason why I find Tito a “hero” of that time simply because he had executed Draza Mihailovic & kept the region afloat. Tito didn’t go out of his way to protect Croats, no but his actions did. Anonymous coward, Hamilcar, Wallace, Haet left that part out.
Some Hrvats praise Ante Pavelic and the Ustashe. Yet there were cases of Ustashe on Hrvati murder, even being sent to concentration camps. I just can’t get my head around praising a “puppet state”.
Nothing I posted was intending to upset or disrespect anyone. Just how pathetic does it sound when a diaspora labels someone as a Jugo or how they Hate Tito when being born in the West sometime in the 80s. You’re entitled to, just doesn’t carry any merit.
Lastly, at weddings all the old timers 60 plus who lived in Croatian Yugoslavia under Tito had nothing bad or good to say about him or Yugoslavia When the topic is brought up. Just how nothing compares to Canada/USA. This is coming from real Croats.
Or maybe us people who are from Karlovac are different from the rest of the Cros..
No disrespect
@BlackZodiac
Just reading all of this and want to comment. Regardless of the context that you said it the bottom line here is you said basically Tito protected Croats and was a hero of his time. This is something that gets people upset. Surely you understand that.
@Anonymous coward
Sign in on your own account you filthy shiptar.
@Anonymous
You sign in on my “name” and copy & paste a post that was directed towards a political discussion a while back. Talk about idiots… You may have fooled some of the idiots on here but as for the post you made under my name the admins can confirm that was you who made that post.
” He was unable to mingle in the Croatian community.”
Maybe in this community, we have some diaspora “Hrvats” segregating other Hrvats. The usual’s who also throw around the word Jugo this Jugo that, but yet were born in the West? You look like wanna-be Hrvats.
@Ziva Istina
Lol, x2

@ The rest who didn’t jump on this Jugo finger pointing.
Real Hrvati, hvala
Ziva is no partizan. Black Zodiac and Jugo45 are.
Tito as a hero? Or Ziva as a role model? What’s the difference? Both partizani!
Crveni Plavi whats the differnce We all steal in Croatia hahah just a joke.
I know i am Craotian a can drink 10 liters of beer Shots of rakija and still be sober to drive home ZIVILA DEMOCRACIJA!
@nije bitno
LOL!
too bad my high school stadium could sit more than the stadium in pula. 😉
Pula could host a match
We have plenty of top notch hotels and restaurants, a brand new stadium, a revamped airport that’s able to handle jumbo jets and connections to the rest of Europe! Plus Istra in general are one of the few regions in Hrvatska with its shit together… 😀
Pula over ZG and Split! ha
Yugo poster list should be on the Forum
@nije bitno well said
It’s for all crveni!
@nije bitno
Not only for Jugo45 but also BlackZodiac.
Just for Jugo45

Tito a hero???????????
May I suggest you look for new role models and heros. I suggest you look up to me. As the anointed “king of diaspora hrvati,” you could never go wrong with me as your role model. Remember, I have the best interest of all hrvati.
@ The Anonymous1 We have to feel sorry for Black Zodiac. Imagine how difficult it was for him growing up. He was unable to mingle in the Croatian community. Unable to go to Croatian dances, church, picnics etc. due to his love for Tito. On second thought you called it correctly. He is an IDIOT.
Bog i Hrvati
@BlackZodiac, you are such an IDIOT. How any Hrvat can say Tito was a hero and compare him with Gotovina as a hero is an IDIOT!
This dude(BlackZodiac) is not even Croatian. Has Yugo written all over him
@ Davor
Thanks for the links!
@ Hrvati
May we all support our people to prosper and represent who we are to the ever growing Earth Community.
Bog i Hrvatska.
@Ante B
We can start with BlackZodiac and Jugo45.
I like this map. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/89/East_Slavic_tribes_peoples_8th_9th_century.jpg
WOW this jugo 45, i live in Croatia and all i can say is that from what people tell me those guys who worked hard sayed they had more back then they are happy its croatia but what does that give them working odd jobs beacuse the field the have a praksa in or college only hires commie daddys little boys, and HDZ and everyone just steals and looks at their own poceket so until you havent tried to be poor come to croatia the only thing that keeps people going is alcohol and duvani and Friends
You could get away with that but again, most of the posters here who know what they’re talking about have either lived, worked there, lived, spent a substantial amount of time or a combo of the above. So take that shit back to Kumrovec, put it in your pipe and have smoke our poles. Dno covjece
Looking good ‘Nije B.’!!!
Big talk from diaspora losers hahaa never lived in croatia and Yugoslavia commen on this subjectt JADNI STE< @ Black Zodiac TZI SI JEDINI STO ZNA POVIJEST ODE!
Lest we forget him jailing people for singing Croatian songs like Ustani Bane for no reason. Happened to my Tata in Zagreb, I can only imagine what it must’ve been like in the selo.
Pa jebote how do you sleep at night? Tito a hero? He killed thousands of Croatians during his regime and you’re saying he’s a hero? Srami se. The stuff written here is disgusting. Chalk up yet another jugo.
Does anybody have a list of the yugo posters? Go.
You do realize if Tito and his party did not exist the league of nations would have appointed the Chetnik party as the successors of the Yugoslav region.
I applaud this man for protecting Croats from Chetniks, Italians who would have divided up our country and Germans who saw us as the slightly acceptable puppet slave.
Yugoslavia protected all the Balkans after the war from being over run by foreign powers. The downfall was the civil war 11 years after Tito’s death.
He was a hero of his time, just like Ante Gotovina was a hero during our civil war. Two individuals I highly respect.
Where are the partys tonight in the So. Cal. area ?
@CSR Crew
Make sure next time you have up to date maps. It seems to confuse people such as Anonymous. Getting flash backs of how horrible Communist times were, while living as a diaspora Hrvat.
On topic, I don’t think Zagreb or Split will be selected simply over our supporters behavior and not to mention the two homes of the BBB and Torcida.
@jugo45
majku ti jebem, kurvin sin. Nezman ko su najgori, cetnici ili komunisti
@jugo45
da bog da ti mate zivi vjecno da je mozemo svi jos jebati.
Zivija Tito i Njegov apprentice Drug Franjo Tudman
Sing, Bad Blue Boys i Torcida, sing in exultation! Sing all ye navijaci of The Heavenly Sjever above! Glory to God in the Highest….
&jugo45 Fuck you and your Tito. You are like that idiot BlackZodiac.

TO EVERY ONE ESPECIALLY ZIVA ISTINA
Godine su prosle pune muka.
Ginulo se za slobodu nijemo.
Ili s pjesmom umesto jauka,
Druze Tito mi ti se kunemo.
Druze Tito mi ti se kunemo.
Druze Tito mi ti se kunemo.
Veselje se siri na sve strane,
sad slobodno po zemlji idemo.
Al’ velike pamticemo dane,
Druze Tito mi ti se kunemo.
Druze Tito mi ti se kunemo.
Druze Tito mi ti se kunemo.
Praznik silazi na ulice nase,
u oblake da letimo smjelo.
Nase pjesme zli neka se plase,
Druze Tito mi ti se kunemo.
Druze Tito mi ti se kunemo.
Druze Tito mi ti se kunemo.

@Davor
Thanks so much for the article!
Oh, who cares about the map. Some of you would have trouble pinpointing Hrvatska on a map with no markers.
I
Too much going on with the red lines and all the countries being nearly the same color…
I try to make the site look as aesthetically pleasing as possible…that’s the reason for the map above.
http://apartments-snjezana-rab.com/Gonar/map-europa.htm better map
@ CSR Cartographers,
Find me a good looking European map at least 500 px wide and I will replace the non-Kosovo, non-Crna Gora map above.
Ready…set….GO!
@ davor
Thanks for the article. i found it really interesting. gotovina answers seem pretty well thought out and measured. i suppose you have a lot of time to think and gather your thoughts in 12 years. i also found it interesting how he was right next to milosevic in the hague and they would talk to each other.
If i was a crno gorac or from kosovo I’d be upset right now lol
You really fucked up on this map, man. The first thing noticed about this story was this stupid map! It doesn’t even look good.
I’m surprised it doesn’t say “Jugoslavia” and “USSR”
Commie ass map…
Correct, I couldn’t find a current map that looked nice and fit the screen properly.
I guess I’m not getting the benefit of the doubt from Prva Generacija this holiday season.
Radujte se narodi kad cujete glas
O come all ye Hrvati, joyful and triumphant
You guys couldn’t find a current map?
not only that, I’m sure they are also interested in Sammir, Simunic and GPS Kelava.

Fergie wants Halilovic and Vrsajko
Dude, come on, my room is clean. What the hell do you think my mom does all day? She knows her role: cooking and cleaning.
5-star hotels is one of the cirteria used by UEFA in determining Champions League final locations and from what I have read for this scenerio that is what they would have in mind in determing host cities across Europe.
Either way, no chance ZG is hosting with the state of Maksimir and no public financing available to fix it.
Can’t do Moscow. it is too far, especially if you consider the time change involved.
Btw. This map blows. Looks like something you’d find in Ziva’s room from back in the nineties. Cause I bet he hasn’t cleaned shit out since then.
For anyone out there in Croatia Diaspora land who is interested;
http://inavukic.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/ante-gotovina-exclusive-interview.pdf
Fergie is up to his old tricks http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2244266/Manchester-United-Citys-transfer-targets-worth-20million.html
I was in Poznan, and they had no 5 star hotels. I stayed at the 2 nicest hotels in Poznan and they were not sold out. Most Irish stayed in tents and in camping grounds, and a lot of Hrvats came game day and left after. Also rentals of condos and apartments were very popular. So 5 star hotels should not be a concern.
Istanbul should be one of the cities. If they are going to spread this around Europe, then you better have it in top destinations that are easy to get to and with plenty of 5-star hotel rooms. Here is my list of cities to consider that already have the stadium and hotel space ready.
Moscow/Kiev
Istanbul
Bucharest
Paris
Berlin/Munich
Amsterdam
Rome/Milan
Madrid/Barca
Lisbon
London
Dublin
Glasgow
Stockholm
I still dont like the idea. The federations will all love it (afterall, they vote for UEFA presidents) because they can get a peice of the action, but this is terrible for the average fan. Much ahrder to egt around now and to follow your team. You can possible go from one part of Europe for the group phase all the way to another part of Europe for the knockout phase. STUPID!!!!!!
Let me guess Istanbul and Tel Aviv will be two of the cities right?
that old map sucks. At least it shows an independant Croatia… but Montenegro and Kosovo aren’t part of Serbia any more….
You cant have it on the coast. Not enough 5-star hotel rooms on the coast with the exception of Dubrovnik (maybe) and we know there is no stadium in DU. Only city that could hold this in Cro is ZG.
as i said earlier. zagreb and split need to get their toilets fixed first.
this idea is stupid in general. but if croatia was to ever get a city which i dont think they will. but if they did somewhere on dalmatian coast has to be it. tourism boost.
I would love to see Zagreb or Split as one of the host cities, however the stadiums need substantial upgrading.
It would be nice to keep the tourney in one/two countries. So fans can get around easier and enjoy the culture of that particular nation.
However, UEFA has cited one of the reasons for a continent wide tournement, is the high costs for one/two nations to stage one. Especially since the Euro Zone is in an economic crisis suffering from high unemployment, budget deficits, and civil unrest.
They don’t need to go anywhere but Split ! U will not find a more Beautiful City ! Bog, Hrvati, Hajduk , L.A. Galaxy Champions, i Split !!!
this is so stupid
