Ivan Rakitić and Barcelona never got it going against an Ibrahimović-less PSG side in Paris Tuesday night, losing 3-2. The Barca defense had holes all night long, letting PSG get away with soft goals. Rakitić was responsible for PSG’s second goal as he did not cover Marco Verratti properly on the back post following a corner. He was subbed off in the 69th minute for Xavi. With the loss, Barcelona drop to second place in Group F, with 3 points from two games.
PSG vs Barcelona 3-2 All Goals & Highlights 30…
Darijo Srna and Shakhtar Donetsk looked golden to get a huge win against Porto from the Donbass Arena. The Ukrainian champions were up 2-0 entering the 89th minute after dodging a first half penalty miss by Porto. However, a hand ball in the box in the 89th minute gave Jackson a penalty, which he converted, with Jackson adding an equalizer in the 93rd to force a 2-2 draw. Shakhtar will be absolutely sick with the draw as they now have two draws to their name instead of being in control of Group H. Their next match will be October 21st vs. BATE Borisov.
Wednesday
Mario Mandžukić and Atletico Madrid pulled off a late win against Italian champions Juventus by way of a 75th minute Arda Turan goal. The 1-0 win earned Atletico their first points of this Champions League campaign, which now pull them tied with all three other clubs in Group A. Mandžukić got the start and was subbed off nine minutes after the goal.
Luka Modrić and Real Madrid had a tricky test in Bulgaria as Ludogorets gave them a run for their money. The Bulgarian champions scored inside 10 minutes with Cristiano Ronaldo missing a penalty kick in the 11th minute. However, he would redeem himself 14 minutes later from the spot again. Karim Benzema would secure a 2-1 Real Madrid win with a goal in the 77th minute. Real remain perfect int heir first two matches. Luka Modrić got the start but came off for Toni Kroos in the 73rd minute.
After a shocking draw to Everton on the weekend, Dejan Lovren and Liverpool looked mediocre at best again on Wednesday in a 1-0 loss at Basel. Lovren played the full 90 minutes and was not at fault for the goal in a very high-paced match. Liverpool’s next two Champions League matches will be against Real Madrid.
Danijel Subašić and Monaco held Zenit St. Petersburg to a scoreless draw to split the points Wednesday night in Russia. The draw keeps both clubs atop of Group C with 4 points.
Tin Jedvaj was given the day off as Bayer Leverkusen cruised past Benfica 3-1 to get them on the board in Group C.
Ivan- before ’91 it was very very hard to speak pro Croatia…trust me, you could end up in big shit very easily. My family were screwed BIG time and lost a “mlin” (mill) and land to the Yugo scum government…my dad was thrown in jail 3 times…even my grandmother was in jail for harbouring a wanted man, my dads uncle, who was an Ustasa…
Slavonac : Thank you, now it’s clear for me. ^^
It’s very interesting, I didn’t the life over there.
UDBA was dangerous. I remember several years ago, before Croatia got independence there were Croatians that came to speak and my dad told me some Yugo’s were taking photo’s of people in the audience…
the reason our parents left there is because they couldn’t freely express themselves, so for anyone to say to me that “coward. talk about a 91 er”…can go fuck themself…my family lost all the land and their business to the communists government and you expect me to pound my chest and go to jail…fuck you smotani kreten!
@Slavonac, yes sir you are correct. I was in Daruvar for a funeral back in 83 or so and I was talking with some people because they were asking me about the U.S. etc and I said well the harder you work the further you go, and that in Yugo it’s who you knew is what got you somewhere. Sure as shit, the next day the Military Police showed up at my uncles farm, but I wasn’t there.
Ivan- yes for sure but that isn’t what I was saying…TODAY ITS SAFE…but in 1986-1987 it was not. Even in Slavonski Brod, there were always people watching as you went to church…in Mostar back then it was a damn mixture of people and you were not safe to openly talk politics and speak of Croatia, they immediately called you a Nationalist…Mostar now is different than it was back then and I’m glad for them but believe me, ask anybody who lived there back before the war.
@ Slavonac : Sorry I ma sentence looked weird ^^, but my family is from Croatia, not Bosnia (Mostar) so I didn’t know how was the “atmosphere” over there.
I’ve been to Bosnia for the 1st time 3 years ago (to visit Mostar btw), and I was surprised to see a Croatian flag at every village, like to say : “We are in Bosnia, but we are CROATIAN”.
Like the little “fight” in Mostar between Muslim and Croatian with the minaret and the big cross over the montain.
Blade- you’re an idiot! Why do you live outside of Croatia, were your parents allowed to say they were Croatians? Many couldn’t attend church you dumb fuck!
@ slavonac
” and you really couldn’t openly say “ja sam Hrvat” ”
coward. talk about a 91 er
E. You get your head out of your pessimistic ass, spend some time with a lady friend, have Fanta and a smile.
The day I put a blanket over my head in the fortified basement is when one of the following takes place:
A. Mahir Mandzuka scores from outside the box against a legit opponent
B. Rakitic stops frosting his dome.
C. Kranjcar gets his body fat under 15%
D. Diaspora hrvati are able to speak properly
Actually thrice 😉 Bobby V.
Every team plays each team 4 times. 2 home, 2 away. This would make it 3.
Mandzukic just took a shot outside the box with decent power. It was right at Buffon though sadly. A little more of a bend and Ziva would have to put a blanket over his head in the basement.
Ivan- hahaha….I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here dude but in 1986-1987 it was not easy to walk around and pound your chest to say you’re a Hrvat, especially when the city was so mixed…you could end up in trouble!
@ Slavonac : It’s very interesting! So you used to be Yougo but no one was talking about Cro/Muslim?
http://hajduk.hr/vijest/hajduk-rijeka-u-nedjelju-u-zadru/5036
These two teams know a good stadium when they see one. Hajduk and Rijeka are both lucky to play there twice this year.
Mostar, back when I lived there, was much different than it is today. I lived there during Yugo days…many of us Croats on the team wore a crucifix, but inside our shirts…Tito’s name was plastered everywhere, I remember seeing something on the mountain side written “druze Tito, mi ti se kunemo”…the dialect they spoke threw me off a lot, it took me several weeks to understand the lingo…”bolan, bona…sta ima…” and you really couldn’t openly say “ja sam Hrvat” although a few of us knew…we just didn’t talk about it.
after I left there I later realized that if there ever was a problem, that city would be very divided…and today it is. the league they play in is very very physically tough and the fans are devoted to their teams…HUGE support from the fan base…I would love to see the rivalry between Velez and Zrinjski…but from a distance, I hear it can get pretty violent!
always wanted to check out Mostar… see how “real deal” the hrvati really are over there 😉
Wow talk about a chokejob by Shakhtar today.
@Slavonac – That’s awesome, glad you could connect with that. There is something about the Croatian people in Mostar that make me so proud.
Although my father is from the island Osljak, a small island off the coast of Zadar, my Mom is from Mostar – it is there where I feel the nationalism and Croatian spirit more than anywhere.
Rakitic off, Xavi on.
3 – 2 PSG
How is Maribor competitive?
They were winning 1-0 away versus Schalke. Now it’s tied, but still. This is better than what Dinamo have achieved in years.
3 – 1 PSG
2 – 1 PSG, both goals on set pieces against Barcelona.
WOW, what a game. 1 – 1 in 11 minutes.
Barcelona v PSG just started and Rakitic’s first touch and gets plowed over by one of Obama’s sons.
.
Bobby V – I just had a HUGE feeling of nostalgia. if you watch the first few seconds of the video you see where the players are walking out, that building is where the changing rooms are and to the right is the team restaurant…upstairs there are 10 bedrooms…I lived there for almost 1.5 years! Man…this brought back major memories!
I’m sure Lewandowski will eventually bury 4 goals in one game against some mediocre team to boost the goalscoring stats, but yea, Lewandowski has only scored 2 goals in 9 FULL games.
Mandzo would’ve buried 6 or 7 by now, and in less minutes played too.
Mandzo at Bayern was just a perfect match. Pep and his Kovac-like ego had to ruin it.
🙂
I’m watching the Bayern v CSKA Moscow and I have to say Bayern doesn’t look that great with Lewondalski who has only scored 1 goal since joining Bayern. MM looks to have been the better fit.
.
Zlatan has been ruled out for barca game…
@ann coulter aka ziva
you are right on this you crazy bitch you.
@ Ziva
No more bets or promises please-
They are empty-
People want to support the repka in Cro. Its not for a lack of interest. The fans are sick of Puppet Suker and Mamic. Remove those two clowns and I bet you anything you want that the stadiums would be filled for national team games. Right now the public doesn’t want to support Puppet Suker and Mamic.

It’s a shame that none of our HNS clubs offer a website like this website.
…and maybe our savez can ask the Bosnian government if we can build a nice stadium in Mostar so that real Croatian fans can come support the repka.
